Refused to call back after getting initial quote for glass work. The story kept changing from we only come twice per month, to once a week, to we called but there was no answer (no missed calls on the day they alleged). When asked did they still even want to do the job - the sub-par customer service response was well if you dont want to wait, then get someone else. We informed company when work began (2 weeks ago) and kept them informed. The story for that was no one writes down messages or passes information on.

Last week a thug kicked in my business front glass door Saturday morning to do a Smash-n-Grab at 5:30am. After the cops left and we cleaned up all the broken glass I called Akamai Glass because they had helped us replace our door glass back in 2011. Their phone message said they werent open on Saturday but I could press 6 for Charis cell phone. I pressed 6 and got Chari. She said a crew was going to be working that Saturday and she would send someone over to measure and get me a quote. Someone was there by 8am to measure - I got a quote texted to me by 8:15a which I accepted and Juan and Nagner were there putting in replacement glass by 9am!! Wow!! We opened for business at 10a without any interruption!Chari was very responsive and got me up an going for business before we even opened - I couldnt ask for anything more! They did a fast quality job! I would recommend Akamai Glass to anyone!

Was looking for a window that didnt cost me to much.

During the move to the island, I had a few items with glass components that broke during transit. The glass replacement I needed was a small work order (2 small cabinet doors and a picture frame), and Akamai Glass was the only company that would do the work for me. They really mean that no job is too small. I thought the price was reasonable, and the pieces were finished in less than a week. Great customer service, and I highly recommend Akamai Glass!

Dropped a picture frame off Thursday afternoon and was called to pickup Monday am. Was 1/3 the price of Glass Guru !!

In this day and age of mediocre to terrible customer service, it’s important to give shout outs to businesses who are getting it right. Had a little mishap on Sunday that shattered the glass in the living room window. With bad weather coming and being unable to secure the house, I was desperate. Long story short - spent 2 frustrating hours calling 11 businesses and getting lots of “we’re too busy” and “it’ll be 3-4 weeks”. Finally called Akamai Glass. I must’ve sounded defeated. The guy said just bring the frame in, we’ll help you. We went, they said without hesitation that they’d do it by Thursday, I burst into tears of relief. My sis whipped out her credit card before they could change their minds. They called me this morning - come get your window, it’s done. They saw my frustration and not only did the job, they over delivered. They get it. And I will tell everyone because they are good, hardworking people who deserve prosperity. Thanks Akamai Glass. My heroes!

Reviews that are old are not so good (up and down)for these guys BUT we had a GREAT experience. We ordered several items. They are always bright and cheery over the phone and got the orders done quickly. We never picked up a tempered piece of glass for months (totally forgot about it) and they were great about keeping it for us and retrieving it when we finally did get in to get it.Fair, competitive prices, fast turnaround time, good service and nice folks.Ill buy more from them.

Courteous, professional, finished on time and fair pricing

We use Akamai glass for all of our specialty orders - obscure glass, rain glass, reeded glass. They do a great job and have a quick turn around time. It is not a beautiful store front, office or parking area- but they get the job done. They even offered us free samples to keep on hand for our customers.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. I sent them a request to go to one of my stores to provide a price to remove and dispose the existing mirror on the Sales Floor that was cracked and supply and install a new one matching the existing one.. First they send me a price to just install the new mirror. Then gave me an attitude when I brought it to their attention that their bid was supposed to include the removal and disposal of the existing mirror. Finally I received their ridiculously high bid.. Which I approved. I sent them the approval and received a call from Cheri in the office telling me that they have to go back out because they are not sure what type of glass it is.. Star fire or not and if its Star fire it will change the cost .. When I asked How they submitted pricing to me to install a mirror when they didnt even know what kind of mirror it was. She copped an even bigger attitude.. she told me she was sending the tech back out and will send me a revised cost to install Star fire glass if needed.. Then she proceeded to tell me if I dont like it find some one else. because its her company and she will do what she wants. This Company is ridiculously rude and unprofessional. I am also reporting them to the better business bureau.

On December 13th 2016 my husband called to get an estimate. The women who answered abruptly told him they were really busy. When he inquired further about their services she reinterated that they were back logged and she seemed very annoyed. When my husband asked if he could speak to a manager or the owner she said, youre talking to her.The really tragic part is that although we were calling for an estimate we were not looking to have the work done until next year. It would have been nice if she had asked about our needs rather than shutting us down. Very disappointed with customer service. Looking forward to giving my business to a competitor...even if we have to pay a little more. If the tone was bad, its because I speak harshly. I appreciate your feedback though but my voice and tone will not change..
