I rate this place as a 5 star establishment. Well oiled machine,all the departments working together. From sales to service,accessories,tips and advice. Thinking of purchasing an electric moped for those late night beer runs,without disturbing the neighbors. Already have a small displacement motorcycle from them. As in any significant purchase research on parts availability is an issue not to be overlooked. Accessories to enhance purpose of vehicle. Dont rush into your decision and you will be happy with your new vehicle.

Ive tried to communicate thru email, and nothing.the lack of communication is making me feel uneasy about my purchase. Especially because Im on another island.

Lack of communication and bad system tracking.Ordered a moped 5 weeks ago which they told me would arrive 2 weeks ago. I have since been calling them for an update and my calls have always been routed to the voicemail.I understand that there are delays at the port which caused the delays on our end. I would expect them to proactively inform their customers about the delays, or at least pick up the phone/ be a little more responsive.

A few weeks ago I bought a moped here. Good Google and Yelp reviews got me in the door, and then talking to a couple guys here, especially Jay (General Manager), led to me to buying new 50cc Soleil instead of getting a used moped or other brand in the lower range of $1-1.5k.I asked a lot of questions and Jay clearly explained their approach to doing thins right and only selling quality they can stand by and won’t cause customers cause a lot of problems. That’s why for low cost Chinese brands they only sell Soleil, which is the “best of the worst” (Jay’s quote) and should last a few years, compared to the cheaper Chinese ones that are really shoddy and problematic, and only last a year or so. The price point is low and other shops on the island sell a lot of those and make good $, but Moped Garage won’t do it just to make $.Another example of their integrity is that they’ll only hire certified mechanics. Many uncertified mechanics approach them for a job and then end up working at the other shops that don’t care about this.They go the extra mile to provide good service and filled up my new moped with gas did some tests and adjustments (that other shops don’t normally do) before sending me off. Overall they’re very honest, knowledgeable, informative, helpful and not sales-y at all.Highly recommend getting products or services from them. The service shop is in a different location.

The service at moped garage is the best! I had no moped experience and every employee did everything they could to help me learn! I am so happy that I bought my moped from moped garage and I got undivided attention from everyone who helped me!

The person that helped me was patient and informative despite me forgetting important documents and going back and forth with getting them. Even gave me good directions in what I needed to do afterwards to and was really polite. 100% coming back here.

This place is wonderful! The staff here is incredibly helpful and friendly and Ive learned a lot in talking to them. Theyve helped me so many times with my used moped. They always keep it real and they keep the prices very reasonable. JP and KJ especially have helped me with tech issues many times. Im not going to lie; since purchasing my moped Ive had several issues with it that were totally out of my control/manufacturers defects that have left me pretty disappointed considering how much I paid for the product I purchased. However, Moped Garage has been totally awesome at helping me out and mechanic KJ in particular has gone above and beyond to make me feel like a valuable customer and has assisted me through all of the issues Ive had with my moped. Great customer service.

Service is fast and they are reliable. They look out for you and make sure you are going to have a good experience. When I had trouble with my used moped they gave me a free chain for my new moped to make sure it would be secure.

These guys took care of me. They fixed up my moped CHEAP and threw in used parts that they had on hand for free instead of charging me for new parts. Service was speedy, and the location is central to everything in town. Good range of services and supplies too: repairs, safety inspections, helmets, and parts. Recommended.

Ive been in Moped Garage a few times now. The owner JP is very personable and helpful. My son took his moped there a few times for service. They are fair and honest. Wont gouge you on repairs.

Went to get my safety inspection, these guys were fast and efficient. My bike needed a part before it would pass and they had one on hand and it was very reasonably priced. They installed the part passed my inspection and I was on the road before the sandwich shop next door had completed my lunch order.These guys are top notch!

The best out there. This has been my go-to moped shop for years, to buy, fix and get an honest opinion about my mopeds. After horrible experiences with other mopeds shops around, Im stoked my friend recommended me to JP and his team. Thay have saved me so many times. Over the course of 3 years and 2 used mopeds I have had to get my moped fixed a handful of times. I only wish I found out about this place sooner! They are really honest about whats wrong, if it doesnt need fixing then they wont fix it (even though they totally could have ripped me off once since I thought there was something wrong with my moped but there wasnt). On top of that, theyre pretty fast and charge really reasonable prices. Some shops I have had to wait more than 3 days just to get a new tire- but the last time I went to this place they put a new tire o within 90 minutes!! So far have not had a bad experience and cool guys that work there as well. Good to finally see some aloha in one of these shops

This is a long-overdue, positive review of University Mopeds, aka Mopeds Direct. Heres a summary of my experiences with this shop over the past three years, specifically with JP (the guy that works there).1. I talked to JP about buying a moped. I told him about a deal I had found, and he said it sounded like a great deal, better than he could offer. He advised me about common problems to look for in the moped brand I was buying. He provided great, free advice, and I bought the moped.2. Grateful for his help, I returned to buy a helmet. JP looked at the bike and congratulated me on finding such a great deal. He said the bike seemed to be in excellent condition. Unfortunately, they dont sell helmets (or didnt at the time). JP advised me about buying a helmet and sent me to a nearby shop that could help me out.3. I took my moped in for regular maintenance, and JP told me it probably wasnt necessary, but hed be happy to switch out the spark plug and take a look at everything if I wanted him to. My previous regular maintenance at another shop (where I bought the moped) cost over $60. JP charged $20ish.4. My lock was seizing up, so I went in to buy a lock. JP grabbed a can of WD-40 and soaked my lock, then worked the key in it until it was moving smoothly. He said Id probably be fine with that lock for a while longer. This was the THIRD time he helped me without making any money.5. I had a fuel leak, and JP said it was the carburetor. He said he could repair it for $50ish or replace it for $150ish (I dont remember any of the exact prices). He said if the repair didnt work, hed deduct $50 from the replacement cost. In other words, I had zero risk taking the cheaper option, because the $50 would be credited to plan B if the repair didnt work. The repair worked fine for about a year.6. I brought in the moped to get the carburetor replaced, because it started leaking again. I didnt ask about the $50 I had already paid for the repair because, first of all, the repair worked for a year. Secondly, JP had helped me save money so many times, I wasnt about to try to take advantage of him because of an offer he made a year ago. He replaced the carburetor for $120ish. The bike runs SO much better with the new carburetor. It has made a HUGE difference. I was just expecting the leak to be fixed, but it feels like a new bike. It starts easier, sounds better, accelerates more quickly, etc. JP told me to ride it for a few days, then bring it back so he could make adjustments if necessary. I brought it back and he took a look at it for no charge.Needless to say, the next time I buy a moped, Im buying from these guys (partly because I found out they have a THREE YEAR warranty... thats amazing), and I wont take it anywhere else for repairs and maintenance. I wish more companies treated their customers the way Ive been treated here.

Dont go to any other shop. I have had JP do over $1000 in work on multiple of my mopeds. When my Yamaha was stolen JP and his crew were just as pissed off as I was.
