Pennyrile Home Medical was notified by the manufacturer of CPAP machines which they sell that a recall was issued due to the machines causing cancer. They have a working list of folks to whom they have sold these devices. They have not notified their customers of this issue and when asked if they intended to take the initiative to inform their customers that the produces they were more than happy to take folks money for of the dangers, informed me that it was not their responsibility to do so and they had no intention of doing any such thing. As heathcare providers they aparantly do not care whatsoever about the health of their customers sufficiently to be ethically upstanding enough to be proactive in the face of serious health threats to their clientele. Also, be careful not to use a bad word to describe how frustrating the situation is. It will hurt their feelings and cause them to throw a childish tantrum at you, the victim of their negligence.

I’ve never dealt with such incompetence in my life. I’ve worked for a medical supply company for 4 years and this place is beyond comprehension. I’d also like to note that this company went from 1 1/2 stars to almost 5 over night.. Perfect example of a horrible company faking 5 star ratings.. 90% of their 5 stars are fake accounts that ALL rated at the same time. Stop faking it and actually DO YOUR JOB right the first time.

As a home care nurse for 23+ years I worked on and off with Pennyrile .They were the “go to “ dme for odd or hard to find equipment and “ what do we need for this patients problem” company. I am currently working private duty for a couple and have spent more time with several of the employees in doing so. All have been very professional, helpful in solving issues and problems that have come to pass with my patient yet they are friendly and you feel that they care about helping you and enjoy doing it. When I order something it comes promptly and if the item is delivered by them personally they are courteous and helpful in set up and teaching you how to use it. They really great in aiding you in wading through the the mire of billing and insurance. All of that goes a very long way in my book. I hope others will consider them. While they are not magicians and can’t always meet your specific needs they will always try and even make suggestions of other places to look on the rare occasion someone would have what they don’t. I hope that their experience with them with be as easy and enjoyable as mine have. ☮️💕🐶

I had to use their on-call service over the weekend for some trach supplies for a patient. I wish I could recall the guys name I dealt with, but I have to say... he went above and beyond for us in this scenario. He showed up in a timely manner and explained the components in depth. I’m trying to make a habit of recognizing local businesses that go above and beyond.

Very poor customer service. My newborn has received his medical equipment from Pennyrile since June when he came home from the hospital. We’ve had to have two warranty replacements on our most crucial piece of equipment. The most recent equipment failure occurred on the weekend, so a technician had to come after hours. I drove an hour towards his location so he didn’t have to make such a long drive. Today when I called to ask for a different brand of machine to be ordered the office manager, Dana, said she was offended by me. My job as a medical mom is to fight for my child’s health and quality of life. Choking until he aspirates due to equipment failure is not a good quality of life. I don’t feel as if I was rude, just simply defending myself after being attacked for my “inability” to use this machine this last time their machine failed. Dana told me I was more than welcome to transfer DME providers. In addition, she told me that if she ordered a new machine for us today that she would not do another warranty exchange with me in the future. Therefore, jeopardizing my son’s ability to breathe and threatening his life- which I don’t take lightly. The transfer of providers can not happen quickly enough. I tried my best to do what Americans are encouraged to do and support a local, family owned small business, however, they have failed my son and I’m being forced to use a another DME.
