Excellent selection of traditional paletas, horchata, and fruit concoctions, along with a large selection of ice cream flavors. I had the pine nut ice cream and it was delicious - a pale, creamy pink with pine nuts sprinkled throughout. Daughter had strawberries and cream, and husband had two kinds of chocolate. The staff is friendly, the space is huge to spread out, cute retro tables and chairs, and one whole wall is for kids to color on with chalk. The staff is friendly and the fruit is fresh.

A nice little surprise! They had authentic Mexican treats. The ice cream wasn’t top quality, however it was good and they had a variety of flavors that aren’t “usual.” They have food items like nachos, fruit salad, and slushes and smoothies as well. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t slammed busy, but the line stayed decent. The inside wasn’t the cleanest, the decor was nonexistent, but it was roomy and they had chalkboard paint on walls if you had kids you wanted to keep busy.My daughter had the Mexican cake ice cream flavor and it was “ok.” It had little bits of gansito cake broken up throughout it with ribbons of chocolate. She let me taste hers and if I am honest, it isn’t something I would order. My son had Ferrero roche flavor (or however that is spelled) and it again was “ok.” It tasted mainly of cream and minimal chocolate flavor. After a few bites of any of the ice cream you got a thick layer of cream “film” on your tongue coating the taste buds which was a little off putting. The flavors were very mild and not pronounced, bold, or strong.I had pistachio and pine nut which were better than ok, they were delicious. Again, once the film coated tongue it wasn’t as good, but it was ok. It had plenty of nut to cream ratio. They do allow you to taste the flavors before you order which was good. They have several sizes to choose from and they are generous with it. They actually pack the ice cream into the cup instead of just dipping and dropping.The prices were decent for the amount of ice cream you got. We got the “medium” size cups which were $4, so yeah, it was ok serving for that price. I think if I were to go again I would try the fruit options or the strawberries and cream sounded good. I will mention this, there was someone ordering a banana split while we were there this past weekend and it was a GOOD size for that price. It looked quite scrumptious too.This is one place I would recommend trying at least once. Pine nut or pistachio is the way to go in my opinion. The pine nut tastes nutty and fruity and is light pink, while the pistachio is nutty and creamy.

This was one of the best experiences that Ive had in an ice cream shop and unexpected at that. They have so many flavors of ice cream that seem as though that they make them and house and youre allowed to taste test them and then youre giving a wonderful portion of whatever you choose. And you dont have to take out a loan just to purchase it like other ice cream parlors 😂. I wish I had one closer. If anyone knows how I can convince them to come to the Jackson, MS metropolitan area please let me know!

We finally stopped here yesterday. It is delicious! The ice cream is smooth and very tasty. I ordered a banana split (so did my husband) and it was huge. I definitely will never go back to the famous American ice cream place. Everyone was very friendly.

They have the BEST ice cream here! It is so delicious and creamy! They have many, many flavors to choose from. Their service is great, and their prices are better. Im so glad they have expanded to a bigger location to serve more customers. La Michoacana is one of our best kept secrets...I hope to see more and more stores all over the mid-south!

I would say this place is good for children. Lots of sweet treats. Not the best atmosphere for a date or anything romantic. But stop in and get some ice-cream with real fruit.

Delicious ice creams with flavors I wasn’t aware existed, along with fresh fruits and toppings in a spotlessly clean environment. Had Tres Marias, and loved every last bite. Hope they decide to open a location closer to home (Long Island)

I have an awesome experience here every time I’ve gone. All the girls are super friendly and helpful. The ice cream is really good. I especially like the pineapple cheese. My husband and I usually each get a banana split and eat on it for days.

Absolutely love this place. I came across this place cause I was craving ice-cream really bad one week and this place had many options but in the new location they have way more options and a clean dining area they are constantly busy also so that says a lot. They also do not mind giving out taste test. I found my new favorite ice cream here. Also there is some missing information on here but just pop in on most days they are open. They they have over foods to try also they place is a Mexican ice cream base but the workers are knowledgeable, quick and communicate to get you in and out in a timely manner.

This was the best place I went too in my two months in Memphis, highly recommend and it is also the only place that I will miss when I leave. Everything I have tried has been very well done from the nachos to the pistachio ice cream.

Ice cream was great and the people were kind. The facility was clean and had a blackboard for a wall the kids could draw on with chalk.

We took our kids there after seeing they were open. We walked in, not one person spoke at all, instead they stared at my family and I like we dont belong there. Cashier had an attitude like she didnt want to serve us. Overall my kids enjoyed their ice cream but will never go back.

Wasnt really impressed. The ice cream wasnt bad, but not one of the better ones weve had. We tried 4 different kinds and werent wowd by any of them. The one person working was friendly. A second employee came rushing in while we were ordering and jumped right in to serving customers (good) without washing her hands (bad). The prices were very reasonable and they had kid sizes so that helped. Overall, just so-so.

I love this place! I loved it before they changed names and I love it now! The taco salad is uhhhhhmazing!!!!! Oh lordy and then the garlic shrimp that comes with rice and a salad... Oh you will hurt yourself trying to eat it. It is so good. Itll make you slap yor momma. Oh I love it! Oh yeah one more thing.... The cilantro salsa. (Ask for it next time you go) its soooo worth it. The cashier charges me different prices for the same items every time I go there. Very disappointing.

Went in with the whole family after dinner yesterday. The women working were very helpful and patient while I agonized over picking which scoop. I tasted lots of flavors all were excellent. I ended up getting the pistachio ice cream, the best I’ve ever had! The waffle cones are fresh, the ice cream was delicious, oh and there is another freezer full of dipped fruit pops. I can’t wait to go back.

This place is nice. The ice cream is delicious and the service is also amazing. There are two things you need to know. They only accept cash and the employees talk Spanish but they all mostly speak English as well. There is a wide variety of food selection from ice cream to some Mexican desserts.

Icecream is amazing. Mexican Cake and keylime pie are my favs. I would like to try some of there other items that they offer, but Dont really know what they have...The language barrier makes it hard to ask menu questions. The older lady there is so Sweet but does not speak any English. And she was the only one there the last 2 times u have come in.
