Never had any problems with this place great people and yes unlike other comic shops this is a whole family but isnt that whats its all about enjoying the things you love with family and friends. I can tell you that this is a growing shop so they might not have The amount of books others have but never in 3 years have I witnessed them pulling a hot book to up charge NEVER!!This is a small business run by honest people. What other shop has a female CO owner ?? I love this place because all are welcome. Family friendly and professional.
I have been to this store four different times and each time was a great experience. Great selection of new and back issue comics. Also tons of action figures and other unique collectibles and toys. I did not interact much with the staff. They did greet me upon entering and thanked me when I left. Unless I had I question they allowed me to browse in peace. I bought back issue comics each time and the price was comparable to anywhere else. This has become my preferred store.
Very clean and organized store. Made a good connection with owner. For future purchases and he is looking to get into selling sports memorabilia soon.
Great place with a great variety of cool stuff. 7/10/18 update: this store has closed and owners have moved to Arkansas where they plan to reopen their business, best of luck to them!
Awesome shop! Ed is a great guy, and he offers a good selection with really good prices. Definitely recommend!
Great place, the selection of comics is great and they are all arranged neatly in alphabetical order, the comics are really cheep most back issues are one dollar so that’s great, the owner is nice and helpful. You can’t go wrong here.
Absolutely worth the drive! Cool staff, and a complete selection of current and vintage titles. They support indie books, and YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!
Best comic shop in the Dayton area. Plenty of back issues, great selection of current comics and a great vibe in the store. The store recently moved and is in the process of setting back up but if you check their Facebook page, it gives updates!
Its tough to run a small business nowadays but Ed and his wife always try to make sure their customers are happy theres a lot of comic book stores in the Miami Valley they have been around for a long time, Mavericks and Bookery are just two that come to mind .You know why people go there.. because theyre institutions and mark my words as far as Huber Heights goes needmore comics and toys as an institution did you know that it used to be Troll and unicorn back in the day now for someone to pick that exact location to let the legacy of comic books live on in Huber heights is a great thing, but what is even greater is the way you will be treated.. Im not saying the guy is perfect but I will say he does remember what you like he remembers what you buy by far best trade-in prices in the Miami Valley and its a very family-friendly shop.
Huge selection of new and old comics. Tons of collectible toys and figures. Dont expect any bargains though.
Dont try selling stuff there . Will offer 10 percent of value
Love this place they have so much stuff and each day new stuff comes in
Great local comic and toy store. Owners know their stuff and are active on facebook for updates and info about events.
Family friendly comic book store! Fair prices and kind service.
EDIT 12/15/17: I changed my rating to one star because the owner is a childish pud who decided to insult me privately because of this review.I used to love coming to this store and have been going there since they were at their old location off Troy Pike. Once they moved to a larger storefront the focus on comic books became secondary and it all became about toys and games. I was a loyal pull customer for almost two full years and a lot of times didnt have my books pulled correctly and was missing things Id have to hunt down at other stores.Prices are fair on used books but I cant stand when places withhold copies of hot books only to resell them on the shelves a day later for three times the price.
I left a review and was met with hostility from the owner because it wasnt what he wanted to hear. I privately messaged him to let him know that I didnt appreciate his tone in the reply and was met with even more hostility and personal attacks.Hell reply to this and deny it but if anyone cares to see what was actually said, then you can message me and I will show you.I will never come back to this shop again.

The comic store was closed and empty on August, 16 2016 with a sign saying we are relocating... (to a place not too far from there) without indicating when it will eventually reopen at the new place.
