Impressed by the staff. There was an issue w the delivery (via DoorDash) and the Huntington Store (specifically, Bree) addressed it and provided updates. I will go out of my way to shop here in the future. I value a store that handles errors this well. I received all the supplies ordered and at a good value, so no complaints here.

I had a birthday party here recently and the main reason I chose this location is because the price was right. Most kids party places are out of control when it comes to the price. On the day of the party the kids definitely seemed to enjoy themselves and they got to make some crafts and that part was great. My only problem was with the execution of the party. First of all, when we got there the person they gave me to assist was just setting out the stuff for the crafts, which would have been fine if she had gotten it all completed by 11am when the party started. At 11:15, she was still putting things out, just cutting the shapes for the kids to use on their canvases, so finally I asked her if she needed help and started helping her get everything prepared. I was puzzled as to why everything was already prepared when the store opened at 10am. The kids were supposed to make 4 things and they only got to make 2. Which wouldnt have been so bad if the supplies for the other 2 crafts were separated and organized into a bag that the kids could have taken home to finish later, but that wasnt the case. I didnt say anything because the lady was nice and I could see that she was doing her best, but honestly I think there should have been an assistant to the assistant.

ALWAYS an excellent source of supplies and art related, as well as sewing needs! This store is ESPECIALLY well organized -- a pleasure to shop in... hard to resist! Love it!

I’ve visited many Michael’s locations and can’t say that I’ve ever had a bad experience, other than the occasional long line (Downtown Brooklyn).This location wasn’t very busy and was clean and organized. Parking was quick and easy.The employee in the framing section, I think their name was Colton, was super helpful and assisted me with finding the perfect frame for an unusually shaped Christmas gift.Checkout was a breeze. The cashier was friendly and patiently waited for me to pull up a coupon on my phone. If ever in this area again, and in need of supplies, I would return to this location.

In and out pretty quick. Asked the cashier if they had roll out carpets and was told “I think we do aisle 63 but not sure” so that lack of just asking someone to me really hurts a place.

Today I bought a rhinestone kit that was supposed to contain 100 rhinestones and the gun to apply the rhinestones onto a fabric. When I opened the kit at home, there was only the gun (with the bag opened from which it was in) and NO RHINESTONES. WHO put the package on the shelf like this? Normally I wouldnt be so upset, but I needed to bedazzle something for tomorrow morning, and now I wont be able to because this store closes at 7PM and I cant return it in time. Either watch whats put on your shelves or have 24 hour service. I am beyond mad right now.

She will do her best to find what youre looking for and take the time to do it instead of just brushing off the customer. Melanie is also very helpful! All your crafting needs are here in Michaels. The store is mostly on the 2nd level. Everything are neatly stack even the clearance section. All items are within their respected aisles. I love shopping here for all my crafts good to bake goods.

Great place to go if you dont want to wait for something ordered online from a cheaper source, but definitely plan to pay for the convenience of having craft supplies available locally. Dont expect good customer service. There is rarely anyone on the sales floor to help thats knowledgeable in what youre trying to do/make. Be sure to check your receipt as prices do not always reflect sales (or advertised sales are actually old and they forgot to take the sign down) and always use RetailMeNot for coupons on full price items.

Everyone in the framing dept of Michaels in Huntington is wonderful. I have framed numerous pieces of my artwork there and they have always done a great job. They deliver the product on time too. Their sense of color is very good, as they suggest interesting combinations of frames and matts. I absolutely love going there. Thank you to the entire staff there and I will continue to keep going back to frame more of my work.

Its pretty big on the outside, not as large on the inside. The staff are generally very helpful and Im typically able to find things I need there. Typically if I have any issues, its due to a product being out of season, however thats simply me not looking to see if the product is even in stock to begin with.

Michaels has well-priced arts supplies if you use their coupons or wait for a sale. You can get the coupons and see the sales at your local store by going to their site. As usual, its always good to comparison shop online.

I always come here looking for items Id expect to find at an art store, due to a lack of art stores on long island. Im usually disappointed as this is more of a crafts store. They have a better selection of art supplies online than in the store. But this location is great if you have a small craft project.

I made an $74 purchase of paint brushes and oil paint stuff. I checked the price against jerrys artarama online. Michaels didnt beat it, they were charging $73 for exact same things with no shipping :) In and out of purchase anxiety playing the coupon game, but it paid... They all do it, but this store has consistently given me the best deals.

This place is great! It is wheelchair accessible. There is an escalator and stairs to go up and down, as the store is on the top floor. The place is clean, and staff is friendly. There is tons of parking. The only downside is that they are not always fully stocked. The place itself is large, but the shelves are not always full.

Its exactly what youd expect. Good selection, but just very slow and unresponsive staff. You can tell a lot of people who dont care work here. I came very early and was one of two customers in the entire store. There were at least 5 staff members milling around at one time. Nobody wanted to help me, and at the register I had to wait almost twenty minutes for a cashier to arrive. Good stuff, careless staff.

You have this huge location and because you’re cutting too many financial corners there’s are obnoxiously long slow moving lines for checkout that are handled by a minimal of cashiers. Each time I manage to go here as a last resort for spontaneous purchases I quickly lament waiting 15+ minutes to get run up for >$10 worth of merch and have to subject myself to employees trying to pitch a shady useless rewards program that’ll never benefit me. Decent merch but this franchise is showing presymptoms of becoming obsolete

A made-to-order frame can be expensive, but there are 25-50% off specials several times a year.Craft classes are available for different age groups (child to adult). The basic class fee is not expensive; most of the cost is for the materials you will need (as the finished item is yours to keep). These classes are especially great for young kids in the summer.The employees are patient and helpful, and returns are easy with a receipt although you can usually get store credit without one. Coupons are available to people who sign up with an email address (which is not used by the store except for coupon notification). They recently had a 2day doorbuster sale and we bought 3 huge canvases that would of cost us a pretty penny. With their 70% off sale we only paid $43 and saved $97. Plus join the mailing list because they give out sales via text all the time.

This review is for the store on Walt Whitman Road (rte.110) Quite different from the review given for the Huntington store!3 pieces of fine art were brought in for framing by their experts.The framing staff possessed no expertise whatsoever. The process of choosing a frame and matting was a joke with help from the experts that resembled that of amateur framers I was told it would take two weeks to complete a rather simple framing job. Received an email, after 2 weeks, that the joe was ready for pick up only to discover upon pick up that only 2 were ready. The other piece came back to them damaged and had to be sent back! Upon my complaining about how long Im waiting, I was told this 3rd piece would take less than two weeks. They would call me when ready and email me. Two weeks later I called them to find out where my pre-paid framing was, I was told its been ready and that it shows they called me 10 days earlier! I Never received such a call.nor did I get an email.This is what I call piss-poor service especially for work prepaid in full! Experts my ass! More like after school help!
