Owner or the guy behind the counter is only nice to the people of his ethnicity .. if you’re a brown person who does not say salam ..he doesn’t recognize you other then a transaction..enjoyed the food but terrible customer service .. we are all human at the end of the day

Place is clean, organized, friendly, choice for fresh food for vegetarian is quite limited . Stuff not cooked as advertised and price almost double. For Example Samosa $2 which double price has big size but little inside of ingredients is expensive compared . Groceries is good shelves clean but very little price marking.

Ive always gotten their chicken and lamb gyro with rice and ITS THE MOST DELICIOUS ONE I HAVE EVER HAD. And Ive been to all the other chicken and lamb gyro places in New York City and on Long Island. This place gives you the best quality food. Totally worth it.

UPDATE- 3.27.2015WORST HALAL BUSINESS ON LONG ISLAND!! THEY ALWAYS CHEAT YOU!!THESE GUYS ESPECIALLY THEIR RUDE MUSTACHED BUTCHER ARE ALL CHEATS. Ive tried to give them so many chances because theyre the closest Halal market to my house, but these people have cheated me and my parents at least twice! We ask for a certain amount of cut meat by the pound, pay the full amount only to find out that they do NOT give you the full amount at all! Why would I pay for 2 pounds of beef if Im getting half of that?? When confronting them, they say theyre sorry and that they will fix it next time. NEXT TIME seems to be their motto.DO NOT GO TO THESE GUYS, THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!

Sell meat that’s expired and smells at times. Also, when you ask for a certain amount of meat they always give you more so make to have them show you the amount in front of you, otherwise they’ll swindle you.

Ive been eating here almost every day since 2010 when I moved into the development around the corner. Dont judge a book by its cover - the food here is consistent, big portions, very tasty, and cheap to boot. The owner puts his life into the establishment and it shows by the improvements being made constantly. I recommend coming here to anyone passing through - it will definitely become your favorite Indian food to-go!
