Their policy over oil, I just bought a vehicle and asked them to change the oil because I just purchased this vehicle. I knew it was low but they said it wasnt enough for them to change my oil and sent me on my way to possibly breakdown looking for another place foe oil. The other place let me know I needed my oil pan gasket changed and did my oil. I let them know how I was sent on my way from the other place and checked my car and told me everything that was wrong. My opinion on this place after i told them it was low i wont ever go back to thia establishment. Thanks for nothing

The staff are really nice, bringing your vehicle in and out is efficient. Ive dropped off my vehicles and waited in the lobby, both are easy to do. The prices seem fair and again, the service is top notch.Oh and why they got 5 stars then? Because Ive been there about 6 times now and theyve never once tried to up sale me on windshield washer fluid and other misc maintenance junk.

Quick inexpensive oil change. Had to wait a bit to cash out. Only one person working register and another customer had an issue with her card.

I’m posting this for a friend because she doesn’t know how. She took her vehicle to big o tires for an oil change and they told her she needed additional work done. This work consisted of a lot of front end repairs and new tires at the tune of almost $1500.00. I suggested she take her car to another shop and get a second opinion. The mechanic said there was very little play in the front end and it was nothing to worry about right now. With that being said I say watch who you do business with. I only gave them one star because you can’t post without at least giving one star.

I went there to get an alignment on 08/09/2021. I make an appointment for the following day. I come back at 1:30, 30 minutes ahead of my appointment, just to be told by Mike that they cant see me cause they are short on staff. He proceeds to give me a card and tells me to call the next day and see if they have more workers. I call the next morning, 08/11/2021, and Mike tells me again their computers are down and cant see anyone. They must not like doing alignments there. Take your car somewhere else. They will give give the run around and not help you.

Had my back tires replaced here. Drivers side tire was not seeted correctly and when we noticed it it was too late to bring it back in to file a complaint. They also left a lugnut off of passenger side tire.

Went here for oil change they were very nice and informative about my car and the leak I have and already knew gotta keep eye on it

Paid for an alignment on my 4 new tires....they cant do the alignment. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay them for a proper alignment in order to not void my 55,000 miles warranty on my new tires. Doesnt make a lot of sense. They also broke 3 of my hubcaps but they are going to order me new ones, just have to wait for them to come in. My car is actually shaking worse now than it was when I took it to them with the old tires on it. Go somewhere else.

Great store. So much better then the lees summit location. Got new tires today along with an oil change and brake fluid done. My car drives like it is brand new again. Feeling like a happy mom knowing I can drive my baby girl safely to see my family in Indiana now. Thank you guys!!

Worst place to go! Unprofessional and if you’re a female be prepared to go in for something simple and come out with a quote from them for something completely ridiculous that they try to say is wrong with your car. Never asked for anything to be looked at ! And I took my vehicle somewhere else to be told nothing was wrong. Find new staff and people who know what they’re doing. Maybe hire people who don’t automatically assume you know nothing about cars too?

These guys totally saved me and my rig, The Butter Bus today. They answer their phone promptly and professionally, got me in right away, fixed my issue, showed me what was going on every step of the way, fixed my other issue, and got us back on the road. We really appreciate their persistence and creative problem solving working on our old van. We travel across the country for a living and it is super refreshing to come across stand up humans like the guys working at the Big O today.

Amazing experience.I went in after Costco tried to scam me, and they charged me 1/10th of the price to fix up my car.They also noticed a problem with my brake pads, and instead of just telling me they were bad, they showed me my brakes and why they needed to be replaced. I never felt like I was being scammed and I will be using them in the future.

Above and Beyond!My son was stranded on the I70. The front right tire exploded and did $4000 damage to the car. Mitch and his team bent over backwards to get my son on the road for his 1800 mile trip from Alabama to Utah. It started with a call to Mitch and he assured that he would do his best to get him back on the road. Temporary emergency repairs were done to make the car safe to drive again. He did not overcharge me. This was my sons first road trip by himself and me being in Alabama and him in Independence MO on stranded on the interstate was difficult. Good job team Big O!

This place is under new management and has definitely won my business. The manager, Mitch, is very knowledge and works to help the customer in a time of need! Mitch is kind, smart and goes above and beyond to explain what you need, why you need it, and how long you have until it’s a must for your car!I was in a pinch because my budget was short and Walmart has closed their Auto dept, which lead me here. We purchased two sets of tires in the last two weeks one for 2012 Tahoe and the other for 2012 Cadillac both sets of new tires were leaking and my auto tire pressure gauge was on the wrong tires took back the Tahoe and they fixed it. Took back the Cadillac and they said it would be a $25. Charge per tire we told them they needed to fix it because they put the tires on they said they got it all squared away today my auto gauge said I had a low tire on the front right tire after checking it was actually low on the back left so apparently the did not make it really learn the tires so I will call again tomorrow to take it in for the 3 rd time if you don’t know how to re teach the tire you should find a new job or get better training . So annoying don’t have time for this!!

Walked in just after 4, place closes at 6:30, to have them look at a tire without even hearing a word from my mouth employee says “we ain’t got time fo no mo” “we can’t see nobody” and ask me to leave. Most unprofessional staff Interaction I have encountered anywhere

Went in to see if I could get a oil change and how much it would cost and he was rude and dont have time to talk.

I came in to get my tires rotated and balanced today. I stood in the lobby for about 5 minutes and nobody came to help me there was nobody to be seen in the building, but there were other customers sitting in the waiting area. The phone was ringing non stop for about 3 minutes before somebody answered it. I left without ever being talked to.

Asked them to check ALL tires especially the left rear and right passenger and they found two nails in the left rear and said that everything else was all good. Came home, went to bed, woke up this morning my right side passenger was completely flat. Called to speak with a manager and he said “I personally went to go check your car” but how do you know what car I had? I didn’t give you a name or number. Manager was very rude over the phone definitely would not take your car there they lie and do not take the time to check it again after asking to do so.

Had tires balanced and the tech put the directional tires on going the wrong direction ( i didnt know that at the time). I had a bad vibration and had a blow out. So I went back and had another tire it was also mounted backwards. Vibration continued and got worse so i went to the closest place (FIRESTONE) and they informed me about the tires being mounted incorrectly and also 2 wheels where out of balance. $115 dollars later they fixed the issue. I went back to big o 3 times and was told I would get a call from the district manager this never happened. I also emailed customer service also no answer. They refused to refund my payment or even call me back. Terrible service and unprofessional. The manager Brant gave the excuse that he cant give refunds without his bosses permission and of course he nor his boss ever called.

My husband and I were looking for new tires for my vehicle. We looked online to see what options they offered. My husband went up after work to ask questions. He got to the front doors and they were locked there were people inside walking around. No one acknowledged him, I understand that they were closed.But they could have acknowledged him and said Im sorry were closed. So we called back the next day to ask questions about the tires.The gentleman on the phone said all you have to do is look online. He did not offer his prices for to tell us, what they had in stock. Their customer service was awful the experience was awful. I would not recommend them due to their customer service.

Great experience! I took my Jeep in for a couple of new tires and was pleased with the efficiency of the service provided by this location. My wheel came off of the ball joint 10 minutes after my car “finished” its service. I had to get my car towed, and i’m going to have to pay the $690 that they quoted me for my car. Ridiculous.

I know chain automotive stores like these get a bad rap but that wasn’t the case today. Even though they were short staffed, Aaron still got me in and out and informed me of what car did and didn’t need. The customer service was great and again Aaron was very informative and helpful. If BOT can get more quality guys then I’d say that would set them apart for the competition.

I’m not sure why I even bother coming here but every time I do, the entire staff has turned over and been replaced, and the guys always try tell me something completely ridiculous. I’m not a typical female when it comes to cars, but some things such as alignments and tire balances I cannot do on my own. I went in there this afternoon for those two services and they wasted no time trying to tell me the tires on my truck were the wrong ones and tried to sell me new ones. This is not the case and it’s alarming to me that I know they would try the same thing on someone who may have just said okay and went ahead and let them lie and get a sale.The only good thing about this shop is they at least work quickly if you don’t mind paying for things you don’t need.

I talked to a wonderful gal named Tifanie, she helped locate a trailer tire for me on short notice. Was in and out quickly after a computer problem was fixed. Would highly highly recommend!

I first want to thank the gentleman who attended the desk. We were travelling to Kansas City from a stay over in Liberty (our trip originated in Whitby Ontario Canada). The tire on the car was losing air pressure which was as a result of a nail embedded in it. We had stopped at another tire place and were told to come back several hours later. On stopping into Big O Tire, the manager addressed the need immediately and the job was done within 30 minutes. I not only was impressed that he recognized that we were travelers, but also was an ambassador to the area recommending places for us to visit. What really blew me away was not charging us for fixing the puncture and wishing us safe travels. If I lived in the area I would give this place all my future business.Truly a gem in the community that should be recognized as such.

Good, fast service at a fair price

My experience did not begin as I would have liked. The tires that I wanted and were promised the day before were not available. But the dedication and the care to get me what I needed and on my way, was exceptional. Especially the two women behind the desk, that Im disappointed to say that I cant remember their names, they are the one that turned my one star experience into a five-star day.

Love big o tires! I walk to Walmart and shop while they change my oil or do any maintenance. They also get me in super quick!

Went to big o tires use to live going there they got me in and out thats why they get3 stars instead of 2, but they are becoming your typical shop now always trying to up sale you on everything quote you one price and end up paying way more. An extra quart of oil shouldnt cost $11 then a bunch of random charges that takes a $55 oil change to $85. Good year in coming back

Friendly staff got me in right away unfortunately I need an outer tie rod end before I get get an alignment but will be going to to Big-O to get it

I needed a place for an oil change. Went in on Friday, set an appointment for 1 on Sunday. Arrived about 1245 Sunday, car was not taken back until about 1:20 to1:30. The front desk guy came to me and said front tires needed to be changed and rotated but neither explained the issue clearly nor showed me a written explanation of the alleged problem. It was another 45 minutes or so before my car was ready, do not reccomend this Big O

I came in to purchase 4 tires, an alignment, an oil change and an inspection. I got a call a little bit after dropping my car off and was told that the inspection didnt pass, due to rear brakes are metal to metal and that the front left tie rod was bent.Quoted $1,200, I could not do the repairs at this time. I stated that I didnt want to do the tires just yet until the other stuff was fixed, I didn’t want my new tires to wear funny. I was told that they were already putting the new tires on. Im not able to fix the other issues this week but still need to drive my car. Im hoping that they tires dont go bad after paying the cost of new tires. I should have been told about the issues before they started putting on the new tires. Then when I picked up my car and was driving home I noticed that the new oil sticker on the window was not there. I looked at my receipt and they didnt even change the oil. Now its another trip and to get my car looked and worked on. I was wanting a one stop and done but this is not the case.

Dropped off a single wheel and tire. A replacement tire was ordered to be put on by the next afternoon, when my wife would pick it up. I was called the following morning, say that the tire was there and would be on the wheel and ready for pickup by 4:30pm. When my wife arrived, nobody knew anything about it. The old tire, still on the wheel, had been leaned against a wall and forgotten. My wife and daughter waited for the tire to be put on, after they finally found what I had dropped off. Everyone was friendly enough. My attempt at keeping my wifes inconvenience to a minimum was unsuccessful do to the operation of this facility. They had their chance, I wont be back...

Amazing service! Did you know that Big O Tires can fix flat tires for free (if the tire can be fixed)? First time I got lucky and they fixed my flat for free. Second time not so lucky. They were so kind to put my spare tire on for me.

Purchased one new tire from Big O in Independence (4011 Bolger) out of sheer desperation on Monday, March 26, 2018. Customer service was OK at best. Talked to Michael on the phone who was great and ordered a tire to be installed that afternoon. The guy working the counter (not Michael) when I arrived wasnt too attentive nor enthusiastic about helping myself or the other gentleman in the lobby. But thats not why Im writing this...After the new tire was installed, I noticed a slight vibration when I was at highway speeds. I had hit a pothole the day before, hence why I had to get a new tire so I figured maybe something else was wrong. So I had my car looked over today at my normal go-to shop and the technician looking over the car found something interesting... The previous wheel weights hadnt been removed. No joke, whoever installed the tire just slapped 3 ounces worth of new weights on. Pure laziness. Couldnt take the 10 extra seconds to do the job right. Its a shame auto techs get such bad reputations due to the actions of a few bad ones like whoever installed my tire. By the way, he re-balanced it correctly and the car rides perfectly now. Guess where Im never taking my car again?

I usually go to Big O in Columbia, MO and was disappointed to find that Big Os computer system is not company wide. I had to supply all my information when I went to the Independence, MO location for an oil change and questions about my brakes. In this day and age of technology any Big O center should be able to see all my past records. They also need to repair their parking lot in Independence, MO. The pot holes are large enough to swallow a small vehicle!!!

Buy 2 get 2 free with the purchase of a 140.00 alignment good for a year which includes 2 additional alignments(1 every 6 month) so your paying 500.00 for tires thats the deal. So it basically boils down to buy 4 tires and well throw in a free alignment in 6 months. The shop was super busy 3 hour wait minimum Ive been up here 4 hours and still waiting. The guy before me was up here 4 hours. My experience wasnt bad just dont know why it takes sooooo long.

Very good service and pricing was great for a synthetic blend oil change. I waited about an hour on a saturday which is not too bad. Good experience. An update of the waiting room would get this to 5 stars.

Came here once to fix a tire since a nail got dug into it. They checked for holes and it came out clean. Came back to get tires on another car and it was cheap and done very quickly. No complaints. Seems like honest people and have been pretty helpful so far.

I came in Sunday at 0930 without an appointment (the store opened at 0900) for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told there were two cars ahead of me, ETA one hour. I waited in the waiting room since Im on crutches with a broken foot.90 minutes later I ask at the counter, to find out theres still ONE car in front of me. What?! An hour later Im on my way 🤔 I wonder if those with an appointment were given priority? Other customers said there was only one technician?

This was my first experience with Big O tires and I will be a returning customer. My sales representative was Michael, the store manager. He was respectful at all times and was honest about me only needing front tires instead of all four. When considering upgrading my tire choice there was no hard sell but only an experienced opinion.While my car was in the shop for tires, alignment, and an oil change the mechanic found that I needed front brakes and a new ball joint. When Michael called to explain these findings, he was straight forward with me about an alignment not doing any good unless the ball joint was replaced. When I picked up my car, the Service Manager Josh went through the work done on my vehicle and provided a clear explanation in laymans terms.Even though I spent more than planned due to the additional work, Big O Tires saved me time and frustration in the long term and gave me a much more comfortable and safe drive. I hope Big O Tires remains in Independence. Michael and his staff are doing a great job!

Every time I go in for a tire rotation and balance, they don’t balance the tires! This has happened the last 3-4 times since getting new tires. I even sign the work order stating rotation and balance. Then I get out on the highway and the vehicle shacks badly. I take it back and they claim, a weight slug flew off. How does that happen every-time????If they can’t do a basic job, I wouldn’t trust them with any other mechanical work.

I bought all new tires for both of my trucks when it was NTB. Both times was a little over an hour to replace all my tires on each truck. I was very happy with them and their service. I bought hazard warranty on both trucks tires. But went in to get a patch from a screw in my tire and it took them OVER 2 hours to patch it. There was 2 people waiting on getting fixed or replaced, so its not line they was backed up.

Saturday afternoon is not fun trying to get an oil change around here. Went to Walmart couldnt get in the door and two other places.Went to big O gor right in and recieved an friendly hello from Kayla. Store was well staffed clean and I was in and out with a tire rotation and oil change in under an hour would come back here again.

Did not purchase tires from them but brought one in to be mounted. Fast and friendly. Will be buying my next set of tires from them.

They are good. However, not as knowledgeable as you would think. I took my car in 1 thing, expressed my thoughts, issue, and concerns however it wasnt even addressed. After a good $1000 and 3 trip they sent me to the Blue Springs location where the guesses continue. My last we quote was around $3000.

Jeff went above and beyond to help me. We had blown a tire and messed up rim as well. He worked very hard to find me a replacement. We was from out of town and on time schedule so I was so thankful for all his help. Although he could not get the rim he went out of his way to try. Went in to get my tires replace thinking o had the warranty for it right.! Well no they said because I didnt bring proof of the rotation they would not validated I paid over 2,000 for my truck tire Nd plus paid for the warranty of the tires went today. Finding out they will not validate it or replace my tires so paid all that money for nothing. Very bad. Customer service. The only thing they said was they sorry they had new management and that they were not there at the time of purchase. If it shows on their system that I bought there ! I wouldnt go there again .. they also meesed up two sensors on tires. And yet they only said. They was not there at the time of purchase. Ridiculous

Service was not good other than from the no fear girl at the counter. Had just a couple of cars on the bay. I had a slow leak and oil change. After an hour ans a half i took my keys to go to work with nothing done on my car.

The staff at this big o tires are so friendly! Unlike the other big o tires Ive been to.

Friendly service. Granted there was no one ahead of me, but I was in and out in about 30 minutes for new tires. Definitely recommend.

Paid for alignment, had to bring back next day because steering was still off, had then balance and re-check alignment. They used the wrong wheel weights on my aluminum wheels and steering is still off center

Very friendly and hard working staff will be coming back
