This is like a hole in the wall spot. The restaurant is quite small and cozy. Walking up to the restaurant, you smell an amazing garlic aroma, so you already know it’s going to be amazing. Meatballs are huge and have a great texture. The ragu pasta is amazing and garlic bread is so so good. There aren’t many too many tables but it’s worth the wait! Order at the counter, grab some water, and wait for your food at a table.
I was delighted to find a place slinging some traditional Italian classics (properly prepared) as well as some Italian American favorites! The rigatoni in ragù was my favorite and the spaghetti and meatballs a very close second. This is a true “small business” worth supporting if you’re in the area. They have a vision and they are seeing it through. Parking in the little lot can be tough, so just park down the road or on a side street and come on down! And yes, get the garlic bread! Friendly owners and a cute, kitschy design inside reminded me of my Italian grandparents house. We came to Sunday Gravy because we werent able to get a table at a couple of fancy-schmancy Italian restaurants, and we couldnt be more thankful for that. The food is fantastic. We ordered garluc bread (soft, chewy, buttery and delicious), Ragu with Meatballs (rich, meaty sauce with moist, delicious meatballs), rigatoni a la vodka (the best vodka sauce Ive found with just the right kick and served on chewy, al dente rigatoni), and garlic butter shrimp (perfectly cooked). The atmosphere is casual, the food is seriously good, and the prices are surprisingly low. Well skip the expensive places for more Sunday Gravy.
We enjoyed our meal here. The food was very tasty. More than half our party said they would definitely come back. The spaghetti and meatballs had the largest meatballs and there were three of them. We could only eat one. The spaghetti is reminiscent of Ramen noodles, which was interesting but not bad. All the pasta dishes we got were cooked perfectly al dented. We also got the cheesy garlic bread which was definitely cheesy and garlicky. Review of four stars is mostly for the table situation and parking. there are only a few outdoor tables, and only for parties of two. Any larger and you have to eat indoors, which isn’t great in this Covid times. They do however keep the front door and the back door open and there is a fan so there is good air circulation. As for parking, there aren’t a lot of spaces and it’s a very narrow drive. Be prepared to do a multi point turn around to get out of the lot.
Fantastic neighborhood Italian restaurant. Family-style sharing encouraged. Came here as party of four and shared the Caesar salad, garlic bread (bread from Cadoro Bakery), Amatraciana, Vodka sauce (subtle spiciness), and snagged the last piece of the weekend’s special four-cheese lasagna. Wow! It was delicious, perfect portion sizes, amazing flavors, wonderful staff, and it was busy at 6:30pm on a Sunday evening. Can’t recommend this highly enough. Just hope I can get a table next time I visit because this was amazing. Bravo!
Oh wow! My first visit and this food is delicious 😋 I will be back!
New hot spot on our list. The Sister/Brother duo behind Sunday Gravy really know what they are doing. From the brand vibe to the ragu. Oddly so far the brussel sprouts stood out. They burst with chessy goodness and flavor. In other cheesy news, the bread!!! Can’t wait to try the lasagna, when I get there before it sells out. A Presto!
Sooooo yummy. absolutely slamming. my boyfriend ate two vodka rigatonis on the day we visited here and this one was by far the best. we are passionate pasta eaters. i appreciate their service, decor, and warm friendly vibes. 1000/10 stars!
Its nice to have more options in the neighborhood; unfortunately, Sunday Gravy does not live up to the hype. There are two things on the menu that I like: the ragu grits and the meatballs and ricotta. Sadly 75% of the time there will be something wrong with the order. Either the salt will be completely left out of the grits, the garlic bread will be not be included with the meatballs, or I will decide to try something else off the menu and will be disappointed.
Very cozy place. Food was really great, at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend
Amazing garlic bread! Honestly the best garlic bread I’ve ever had, so light, airy and fluffy, almost felt like a croissant, but had the right amount of crunch. Ragú was very tasty as well. But the meatball sub, was distasteful… the bread was tasty and great amount of cheese to tomato sauce but the meatball itself had this off putting spice that completely wrecked the sandwich and made it almost un-eatable.
Homemade pasta, you can really taste the difference. I wish they had more fish /seafood options. park on the street...the parking lot is a nightmare, they should just turn it into outdoor eating.
Flavorful meatballs. Pasta was too Al dented for my likings. The garlic bread was awesome.
Love! Love! This place! Such great food! Had the Caico e Pepe & Lasagna! The best!
What a great little Italian restaurant in Inglewood! By keeping the menu small, the quality and freshness of the ingredients really shine. We sampled the garlic bread to start and it was fantastic. They used a real baguette and the buttery garlic flavor was incredible. We then had the shrimp fra diavolo pasta and the spaghetti with meatballs. Both were cooked to perfection. Note that you pay for your meal before you eat. Parking is on site. Decor is homey and the hostess serving us was super friendly! Will definitely come back!
The best Italian restaurant that I’ve gotten food from whether it’s dine in or take out. The garlic bread is top shelf. The lasagna is one of the best I’ve ever had - they don’t make it salty like other places I’ve tried. I suggest you try the baked eggplant. The panna cotta is to die for. They’re a mom and pop outfit so prepare for a delay because they’re short staffed compared to how high in demand they are.
Delicious food, prices affordable, friendly employees.parking available. Clean place.
Sunday Gravy is a delectable adventure into tasting deliciousness.Clean, brite, casual n comfortable indoor dining, w/a couple outdoor tables. Good music had me smiling, bopping n swaying in my chair. The food is DELICIOUS N WONDERFUL. Short ribs in pasta, a must try! Large meatballs in whipped ricotta w/a touch of red sauce...OH MY!I highly recommend Sunday Gravy for any casual or special occasion.Weve been in this neighborhood for 20+ yrs, this location was previously Jinos, owned by the parents, of the current owners of the upscaled Sunday Gravy.Awesome this food location is multi-generational 👍❤️Happy diningGrandma Sweetleaf ✌️
We had to tailgate outside the restaurant, outside our car, since its still closed for dine in but we loved it. Our hostest even helped us with cups, silverware etc. Very sweet and helpful.Best. Meatballs. Ever!! So tender and tasty. I wanted to spread it on a cracker like paté lol 😋 And Best. Garlic Bread. Around. 😍😍 They use focaccia bread from a local bakery and toast it with what I can only assume EVOO, butter and garlic because we wanted to buy more to take home but they were sold out (or running low) on bread after us lol. Amazing. We were so hungry and on our way to get vaccines so didnt take pictures of the meals themselves but the food is in our pictures 😂We tried the Spaghetti & Meatballs, enough for my toddler and I to share. Great sauce too 👌🏽 My husband loved his Ragu pasta, very hearty meat sauce. And my teen had the Linguini Alfredo with shrimp. He practically liked the tin container it came in 😂Fyi, old sign, says Pizza and Beer. No Pizza served here but the food is worth the trip.Thank you! Will be back!
The coziest neighborhood spot that always comes through with delicious food and friendly service. Were obsessed with the chicken parm, the short rib ragu and the garlic bread, but seriously everything is a winner here 🌟
Excellent food! The pasta is super yummy! The garlic bread is out of this world---its sooooooo good! And the roasted brussel sprouts--OMG!!! So delish!!!! This restaurant is a total Italian gem in Inglewood!
Best pasta I’ve had. I had the amatriciana and was blown away. It was a religious experience! 🙏 🤤
Great American Italian food, big portions, very casual dine in, they have wine and beer. Small parking lot with free parking. Great place to eat dinner.
Just finished the clams and the Caesar salad. Both were phenomenal, smelled fantastic on the drive home, and tasted delicious. Reasonable prices, nice selection on the menu, and a great location. Im looking forward to going back to dine in person eventually, but Im very happy to try other stuff on their menu to go for now. Cant wait to show my friends this place!
REALLY good food. The service is always top notch. Love the arrabiata pasta and meatball sub. You have to try the short rib fries.
Locally and family owned spot with quick and friendly customer service accompanied by delicious food. I got the ragu and cheesy garlic bread. The Garlic bread was cheesy, garlicly, and tasty. The ragu was good as well. Felt like it would have been better but it traveled for 15-20ish mins before I had a chance to devour it.
Stumbled upon this place on our evening walk. They were accommodating of my husbands dairy allergies. And even gave us a bottle of Prosecco on the house because we were celebrating one week of marriage! Ordered the brussel sprouts twice cuz they were so yummy and the Arrabiata. The service was great. Will be back fer sure! :)
Some really good food. I mean really good.
Really good food. great place.
They are kind of pricey, I ordered 1 serving of Lasagna and it cost me $17. Wouldve been better with meat, this one was meatless.
Love this place. Amazing food and fantastic staff... a modern take on a family run italian restaurant.
The people are so nice here! They remembered me after only the second or third time picking up orders from them. Their story is awesome and so is the food! The cheesy garlic bread and one of their pasta is my house’s go-to cheat meal on the weekend. The ragù is my favorite, you can’t beat it!
I love it 💕♥❤💙💖
If you havent been...go. Its family run and makes this place incredible. Its definitely a destination spot. Plenty of outdoor seating available. Get the meatball appetizer, wow.
OMG. Who knew Inglewood has such a Gem*** when you walk in its the best incredible vibe custom mood...a vibe of Culver City Hollywood... A mix of art good vibrations.. everything all things LAVibe is great! its just so delicious... I like that they have a wine selection everything taste authentic... taste is fresh. Authentic felt like a a vaca... I really enjoyed... it was a breath of fresh air I do recommend highly recommend I loved the fried brussel sprouts it was so good Im going back today !!!!! I will never waist my money again on low grade fast food restaurants everrrr
The food and service was great.
Small little place, but the food is good.
If you’re into amazing food, great prices, and supporting young local business owners, this is the perfect place!! I’ve been 3 times since I found out about them two weeks ago, and have been impressed every time! Easily my new go to for Italian.
A friend recommended this spot.We ordered and drove all the way to north Hollywood before eating.Short rib sandwich was amazing.Short rib fries still really good after the drive. Warmed them up in the oven to try to retain the crispness. Side of Meatballs dipped in the some firery cheese sauce.Girlfriend really liked the clam pasta.I can only imagine how good the food would be if we didn’t drive for 30 minutes before eating.Definitely recommend it!
This place is a little gem. The food is of incredible quality, the pasta is one of the best I had in my life and I spent quite some time in Italy. We had an arrabiata, a shrimp and a clam pasta, garlic bread (had to do a second round it was TOO GOOD) and a bottle of red wine. That was yesterday. I am going to each lunch there in two hours that’s how much it was yummy ♥️Great friendly relaxed service and cute outdoor sitting. Please visit and support them!!
Lovely concept. Quick service. Delicious food! Had the Alfredo, Ricotta Meatballs and Cheesy Garlic Bread - all perfect. Good portions for the price! Highly recommend!
Im going to chalk this one up to the world being in a current pandemic. I didnt enjoy my meal here with my family. The food wasnt anything close to authentic Italian or even olive garden low grade quality. The noodles were definitely a generic brand, cheap pasta sauce and no love put into the meal. What Italian restaurant doesnt serve you garlic bread with your pasta, very questionable. Ive heard great reviews from others about this establishment, but it isnt for me. I did enjoy the aesthetics of the place and the garlic bread and fried Brussel sprouts were my favorite thing to eat while at the restaurant.
Not impressed at all. Ordered two orders of True Alfredo wish i had noticed it didnt say chicken because it had none. Then the portions are sooo small. I also had ordered the cheesey garlic bread but only got regular garlic bread that was burnt. And just those two things set me back $32 and when i was done i was still hungry. I cant even say there was anything great about the taste of the Alfredo. Very disappointed, especially because this restaurant just recently opened. I hope they make some improvements. For the amount they charge I was expecting more. Theres another restaurant that I like going to that serves Italian like this place called C&Os Trattoria and the difference is beyond comparison. Large portions, free garlic balls, wine on tap at the tables and they sing every hour or so. This restaurant has alot of work to do before i order here again.
Funny thing happened on the way home from the Camarillo Outlets today. Me and my girlfriend were in the mood for Italian and I told her that there is a very bad need of a good, small, family type Italian restaurant in Inglewood.Lo and behold... Sunday Gravy! Saw some great ratings on a popular site and hit it up. Started with a fantastic cheese garlic bread and things started looking up. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and my girl went with a clam and pasta dish. Both were fantastic as well. Pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce tasted great... food was bomb. We killed it off with a unique cheesecake inspired dessert that was also very good. This family owned place is a welcome addition to Inglewood. Look... Im Mexican and there is no shortage of Mexican spots but come on yall. Time for the citizens of Inglewood to rise up and demand a better variety and Sunday Gravy hits the Italian spot very nicely. The service was magnificent too. Please give them a try.
Fresh pasta. Intense flavors. Outstanding service. True passion. Much love
Spaghetti meat balls was amazing ...as well as their fries!!
I thought I would find somewhere new to go get spaghetti and spell from is spaghetti your stuff from But they need some help with their food not season good at all
Great customer service, cozy ambiance, delicious, fresh, reasonably priced food, and played good music. A neighborhood gem and must visit!
The food was delicious and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The calamari, ragu, spaghetti and GARLIC BREAD were splendid. They get a lot of their ingredients locally which is important to us since we live in the community. My kids loved it too! We are definitely going back again and again!
The food is on point and the atmosphere welcoming. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and balanced- delicious. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.
Best place ever
Great food 😋 spagetti and garlic cheese bread with garlic shrimp
Love this place! We have done a lot of takeout but we finally got the chance to dine in their parking lot with some friends this weekend. The owners are extremely nice and the food is so tasty. Our favorites include: Ragu, Ragu Lasagne, Caesar Salad, Fettuccine Alfredo, Garlic Bread, and the Cheesecake.
Delicious Italian food. Even during covid, the food, service, and vibe are all outstanding.
Have been many times and have tried most everything I love everything I’ve tasted from the delicious salads to the scrumptious deserts but today I had my favorite Lobster linguini the yummy tomato olive oil garlic sauce with delicious lobster was heavenly will be back very soon♥️❤️💖
Growing up in an authentic Italian family, this place hits it outta the park. Has become go-to Italian spot when I’m too busy or lazy to do it myself!
Good food and good vibes all around.
We got the Ragu, Linguine and Clams, and Antipasto Salad. Everything was very delicious and tasted great, definitely a higher quality of ingredient. The antipasto salad had very generous portions of meat. The Ragu was the best Ive had in a long time. The linguine and clams is not in a wine sauce like most places serve, but I prefer it this way especially with all the flavor they were able to pack in. We took our food to go, but still got great and personable service. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu.
My family stopped in for lunch today at Sunday Gravy and we were all so impressed. Great story - a reinvention of their fathers original restaurant. The ragu, the arabiatta, and the meatball and ricotta were all amazing. The pasta was clearly handmade and cooked perfectly, the sauces were all seasoned just right, the bread with the meatballs steaming and tasty, and the meatballs were flavorful with the best texture. We are thrilled to have this restaurant close to our home - we will definitely be back! Thank you!!!
Great ragu and garlic bread!
Delicious food
Just incredible. Sunday Gravy is one of the best additions to the neighborhood. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the vibe is unparalleled. I was going to add a picture, but by the time I thought to write a review, the food was gone lol. I’ll be back for sure!
So good I can’t stand it. Feels like I’m back in Europe eating Homemade pasta. Yum!!
Local and family owned restaurant food very tasty and reach in flavours, frendly staff and not long waiting time .Recommended.
Great pasta and the owners were lovely. Ill definitely go back!
This place is the bomb!
One of the best spot to try Italian pasta, unfortunately I cannot come back, but I would love to
Delicious food and great service!
The ceasar is my test. Its the baseline. Apples to apples across any restaurant with a ceasar. And this ceasar passes the test. In fact I have never had another like it. Super unique in a good way. Its parallel for me to what Maestros does with their mambo salad. I had the meat balls. No breadcrumbs in their meatballs which is a plus for me. And no sugar in the tomato sauce. Super solid local spot down home. Enjoy before it blows up
What a wonderful Italian restaurant in Inglewood. Everything is fantastic.
This place is awesome! we love it here!
Love this place.
Great! Thanks
They dont serve pizza 😒
Food & Service is A1
Muy ricas pizzas, buen servicio y precio aceptable. Lugar limpio.
