Paul and Mario are the best pharmacists by far. I had to move home for health and family matters so do not use Ionia Walmart pharmacy any longer. Pharmacists like Paul and Mario are hard to find. They always went out of their way to help me.
Better than the Meijer pharmacy. I showed up unannounced, and without proper paperwork and within 20 minutes I hadmy drugs. At Meijer even calling ahead a day Ive waited for three days after. So thank you Walmart for the good service. Do not disappoint.
Waited too long in line
They say 30 mins every time I drop my scripts off then they say its an hour when I come to get it then I stand there waiting.....Forgive me if I sound annoyed at the fact I waited an hour and a half to get my script working 13 hour days and having no time to do much besides sleep driving 30 mins to get to Walmart waiting an hour and a half for one item to be prossecced and an extra 30 min drive home or work is about how long it takes me to fill 4 semi trucks with product and send them on thier way at the factory
Ive had general issues with your Pharmacy in the past but always overlooked them because as a previous Retail manager that dealt with a pharmacy in my business I know how trying things can be.On Monday 4/14/2014 I came to your business on my way home FROM the HOSPITAL with the discharge Prescription of a family member that 2 days ago had a complete knee replacement.I specifically told the young lady that I had had previous issues with the Auto owners Prescription card that had been issues to the patient and that she may want to check to ensure it was active. I told her I would wait INSIDE the store as I needed the prescriptions before I could take the patient home as she was already over due for her pain meds. she told me it would be 45 minutes so I wandered the store for 45+ minutes only to come back and find out that there was issues with her card. Not with its activeness but with the meds needing preapproival Here is where my issue lies. I am very well aware that you do not control what requires prior approval and what does not but you do control your customer service or LACK OF. When your tech found there was an issue she could have paged me BACK TO THE PHARMACY and made me aware of the situation so that I could have called the insurance co and had the issue resolved prior to their closing for the day.Instead because of your incompetence as a customer service business this patient had to go through-out the evening and the night without any pain meds because your person did not react before 5.p.m the script was dropped off at 3:45.Once I made the call to the insurance agent she made 1 phone call and had the RX cleared in less than 10 minutes and she explained to me if that had been done the night before there would have been no reason for the patient to be left in pain all night. The problem with your business is you have lost focus on what you are there for, unfortunately your business functions based on the pain and illness of scared sick painful people and you really dont care. All you care about is the almighty $ and how many RXs you can put out and your not even very fast at that. You can rest assured that I will be forwarding this onto your District manager, your Regional Manager, and your Corporate office(remember I know the chains of command).Oh by the way I have pulled this patients Rx (all) from your store and will be taking them elsewhere to some-one that actually will care about her needs. I will also be moving mine and my entire Families prescriptions and I will make sure everyone I know is aware of your disconcern.
Item selection is not great, not a lot of variety
