My Wife and I bought a 95 Honda Odyssey AWD from Japan Direct Motors, 3 months ago. AJ and Brooks are great guys to work with. Even after the purchase Brooks still took the time to help educate me in how to get the proper insurance coverage for the Odyssey. We have full coverage and are able to daily this van everyday. Also there was a missing floor mat that was misplaced and they took the time to ship it out to me. This was very important to me as it completed a whole set of rare and old school Honda Access floor mats. Also the Odyssey has an aftermarket turbo kit on it and with research I have found that it is an original old school HKS turbo kit. So Sleeper! Overall this was a great learning experience and we hope to be buying our next car from them very soon!

I recently bought an R33 Skyline from Japan Direct Motors and had a great experience throughout. I talked to Brooks first who was very honest and helpful about the car. I was then referred to AJ who answered any questions I had and was quick to send me pictures of the underside of the car, fluids, and the engine bay. The price was fair for the condition it was in and I decided on it. Brooks helped me get it delivered quickly from them to Ohio and I’ve been driving a lot since arriving. No issues at all with getting it titled and registered and I’m extremely happy with the car and the service I got!

I bought my Landcruiser sight unseen. Living in Montana during Covid I couldn’t make the trip to SC. I had hoped that this was a reputable importer that inspected their vehicles; it clearly was not.After waiting a long time to find a shipper to get it to me I finally got it. I drove it for less than 100 miles when the transmission failed. I’m a very mechanical guy and was going to change all fluids end to end, but didn’t get the chance. I had been in communication with the only Landcruiser specialist in Montana. He came and trailered it to his shop. The fluid in the transmission was terribly low viscosity and clearly lead to it’s death. Since being in this shop and waiting for the transmission from Japan, the radiator and AC condenser were found to be rotted out. The bill is currently around $7400.The owner of this business has essentially responded that it’s a bummer. I find it to be a clear indication that there is no actual concern that the product being sold has a reflection on the business. I understand that it’s being sold as is, no warranty. But at what point do you take responsibility for the product you sell and the reputation that you want for you and your business?This is all devastating financially. I can’t afford not to fix it. However I am completely upside down in the investment.Follow up: $8200 later, I finally got the rig home. I emailed Brooks (owner) and shared the invoice. Never heard a peep from him.

The best experience that I have ever had buying a car. The car was better than advertised. Brooks just doesnt care about you during the sale, he cares about you after and then some. I had a fair amount of trepidation when I first reached out to Japan Direct Motors...I think weve all heard the horror stories by this point to know what Im talking about...but here I am, a month after purchasing my R33 Skyline, and I still cant say enough nice things about the people who run this company.I am a very knowledgeable individual when it comes to automobiles, including those that were sold here and those that werent, and as an avid collector of cars, trucks, and motorcycles (I currently own around 50 vehicles as of today), Ive seen all kinds or people selling cars. Honest and dishonest, knowledgeable and otherwise...and with my particular set of skills, I like to ask questions and let people talk to find out just what type of person Im dealing with.The rarest type of person that you will run across when buying used vehicles are the ones who are both knowledgeable AND honest, and I can say without a seconds hesitation that everyone that I have had the pleasure of interacting with at Japan Direct Motors has been both, which in my experience, is more rare than a running Ducati owned by a BMW driver who always uses his turn signals and allows people to merge without a fight. Definitely my kind of people.

I was nervous buying a vehicle from here due to a previous comment someone left concerning a title situation, I proceeded to purchase a 1993 skyline anyways taking a risk and am here to say that these guys are 100% legit, I have my title in hand and i am very satisfied with my car. Theyre great to work with over the phone very friendly and did everything they can to make it worth my while. I drove from alabama to pick it up and drove the skyline 8 hours back and it drove better than most of the vehicles Ive ever owned. Cant wait to do more business with these guys!

I would not recommend this place and would stay far far away. To start I Called, and sent a Facebook message. I finally got a phone call back asking what do I need and I asked them about a car that they have for sale what tock them sometime to find for some reason but they found it. I asked for more information about the car about the stuff that wasnt listed and additional pictures of some spots and was told give him 10 minutes to get those pictures. Then 7PM at night got contacted back by the company and they forgot what I asked for so I told them again and I asked why did you tell me that it was going to be 10 minutes and it has been 8 hours and you forgot what I said. Then was told that they have 100 cars and 2 people so be patient. Then at almost 1AM at night got a Facebook message back from the company saying Wow. Is there something i can help you with? I then asked him about the pictures what he never got back to me on on Facebook. That day at there business hours I called them and I spoke to someone there and ask them about the Facebook message at almost 1:00am that night. Then was told if they feel that they can help a customer at that time of night I will do so. Then I said to him that he wasnt helping me he was these being a wise guy because he never got back to me and the replie he sent. So after that he said sorry for how his worker acted so I said ok can I these get sent those pictures of those spots that are most likely to rust and I also said before I pay for a plane ticket I also well have to get sent a picture of the auctions sheet or sale of papers in Japan and the shipping information. I was then told that. I dont have those . Then I said you dont have ANY of the information of the car of when it was in Japan or the shipping paperwork? Then he said you know what I dont want to do business with you. You are asking for paperwork I already told you that I do not have. So I said ok. So yeah this guy or guys are Rude for no reason whatsoever and they are obviously not doing stuff by the books and if you dont know what to look out for you maybe out alot. Will these look somewhere else.

I bought a CR-X from these guys. The car is extremely clean. It was shipped to Houston TX and arrived on the day it was scheduled. Brooks gave me a great deal and was honest. Japan Direct Motors is legit. Easily registered the car in Texas. I would buy another car from them.

Drove about 3 hours to this dealer to get my 1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo. Car was in fantastic shape overall and I paid a very fair price. The car had just been repainted before purchase and, unfortunately, the front lip hadnt been attached properly. When I relayed the incident to the team at JDM they immediately apologized and shot me a check for the replacement. These guys are knowledgeable, fair, and extremely friendly. If I was ever in the market for another JDM car, this would be the ONLY place I would deal with....also they let me drive a Skyline GTR :D

I recently bought a car from AJ and Brookes. They repainted the car inorder to hide all the rust and it worked cause they got me. The car is slowly starting to fall apart each day Im starting to find huge holes of rust hiding under the car or inside the rocker panels. The car was very unsafe to drive in the first place and the fact they had the nerve to sell a car like this to someone local is the biggest scum bag move a business can do. I recommend to purchase from Japanese Classics or any other JDM place than this one.
