Ive been going here for a while now and I have to say, the doctor is great and understanding. I have no complaints about him His staff on the other hand, is horrendous. Ive never had any issues or complaints about the staff but now They’re rude and could care less about you or your needs. To top it off, a few are clueless as to what they’re doing. I feel like the environment and the people in it are very important in making you want to return somewhere, and his staff does not create a warm or welcoming environment that makes me want to go back and like I said, I’ve been going here a while….

I have been coming here for 4-5 years. The Doctor is nice and answers all questions patiently. I have not experienced any issues with staff either.

The doctor is magnificent and Ive been going my entire life. The staff isnt so great.Dozens of frames, specialty lenses, etc and I cant get my PD over the phone for free? Despite having broken frames and needing the information because I havent been in the area for over a year, I was spoken to rudely by two different people (Amanda included).Using fees to punish people for asking business elsewhere is petty, unprofessional, and filled with malcontent. Save your time and energy.

Dr Meltzer is very thorough & explains every thing. I like his attitude toward his clients. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. I had a full exam & picked out glasses in an hour and a half. Nice my insurance covers most of it too!

I had a thorough eye exam. I felt very safe during the exam. Excellent service and I got my new computer glasses in just a couple of days!

I just had an appointment for my 11 old daughter and the experience was nothing but very good. We ware seen by the doctor within 10 minutes after arriving. He was very patient and did not rush. The stuff was very nice too. My daughter took long time picking frames and the ladies ware very helpful and patient.

I have been coming to Dr. Meltzer for about 8 years now and I will continue to do so as he is the best eye doctor in the area. Him and his staff are extremely professional and polite and they always answer all my questions with the most utmost respect and honesty. I am extremely picky when finding new frames to wear and Amanda always finds the perfect pair for me while be so patient. She is completely honest and such a sweetheart. Trust me, she wont let you leave there with bad glasses. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Meltzer and his entire staff!

I have a complicated eye and vision history so I have made multiple visits to Dr Meltzers office through the years. The staff is professional, compassionate and made me feel like family. Dr Meltzer is extremely patient and does not give up. I would recommend this practice!

I’ve been to Dr. Meltzer for years and he does a great job. The staff is always very understanding, and flexible with scheduling. They also help me pick out the best/most stylish frames for my face which is a huge plus!

I have ordered new prescription glasses from here. it was very well made according to my preference. People are so nice and welcoming. They have all price range of frames according to the budget. Doctor is very good, he explained everything about my needs.

(I had previously used the services of another local eyecare and surgery center. Unfortunately, my Dr at that practice was not available during the only week I had time for an appointment. I will return to his office for my next examination.)My experience with an examination by Dr. Meltzer on December 24 was satisfactory. Unfortunately, my experience with the employees in his office that work the counter and sell/service eyeglass frames and lenses was disappointing. When ordering, there were attempts to charge more than the VSP insurance plan pricing for options. Adjustments were made when called out on it. (I had a copy of my plans rates with me.) When the glasses were ready I came in, was handed them, and I immediately noticed the high-index lenses (thinner than normal) were not used. The salesman concurred and told me to come back and they would have new ones made for me. I went back a few weeks later and dropped off my glasses. I was told by two employees that it would take one hour. I left my number for them to call when ready. After an hour and a half I decided not to wait any longer and returned. The glasses were finished but nobody called me. I was handed the glasses with the new lenses and they were identical to the original ones. I questioned why and was told by the Asian salesman that they wouldnt know how thick they would be until they made them. I reminded him I was told they gave me the wrong lenses the first time and that these would be thinner. We compared the new and original lenses side by side and agreed they appeared identical. After going back and forth I gave up, resigned to the fact that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this company. I will not return and I will recommend others go elsewhere.Other facts to consider:- Voice messages are not returned promptly, sometimes not at all.- There is a $20 fee for your own frame measurement information. If you want to purchase eyewear online you need this information. If I wanted to have this information and was asked to pay $20 for it, I would pay it and then find another Dr. for future examinations. I had never been asked to pay for this information before. Ive worn glasses for 36 years.

I was there this morning to get my first contact lenses. Very friendly staff and an excellent doctor. He answered all my questions and never rushed. I highly recommend this eye care center. - Rukshana

The staff is really rude and wait time is extremely long. I was told that they cannot guarantee about the wait time, it could be an hour or 2 hrs when I asked about the wait time because last year I waited for 2.5 hrs for my turn on a Saturday. My whole family and cousins have been going to Dr. Meltzer ever since we were young. Even though we moved away from Iselin, my whole family still continues to come to Dr. Meltzer. Today I was 15 mins late and I was turned away rudely by the staff. I wasted 1 whole hour driving back and forth for such service. I’ve never experienced this kind of rude behavior in my life. I didn’t see many people waiting there either, so it was really inconsiderate. I will not be going to Dr. Meltzer anymore and will make sure that my family and cousins also don’t, that is 10 total members. I hope that Dr changes his staff soon because whoever is attending the calls in his office is really rude and turning patients away.

They took so much money for a contact fitting exam by telling me that my prescription changed. Then after I paid them, they said oh wait your prescription didnt change. However, they didnt give refund me that money. It was ridiculous. The staff was so so rude. I felt like they didnt even want to answer my questions. I am very displeased with the customer service. I spent three hours there. It was not a good experience at all.

I wanted to try a new eye doctor so I tried going here...worst decision Ive made! Not only was I in the office for two hours for a routine eye exam but the doctor let me leave with an ulcer on my eye! I did order glasses and when I had someone pick them up for me they were told I cannot get my prescription because I signed a fitting contract, but I cant even wear my contacts because of a injury that was MISSED during my visit. Save yourself the headache, or actually the eye ache, and visit a different doctor.

Extremely disrespectful receptionist. I scheduled 2 appointments prior and was unable to make it due to normal work reasons so the third time I called to make an appointment was a nightmare; first issue was that I called 4 times through out the day during the business work hours only to be sent to voicemail. When I finally revived a call back the rude receptionist decided to tell me a new rule this eye doctor apparently set up which was that if you were a no show in 2 or more appointments than you would no longer be able to make an appointment and would have to call everyday hoping that an opening is there the day you call, to show up the day of. Ill be looking further into this new policy of denying service to a customer because they had missed appointments in the past due to normal day to day reasons. We all have lives, families, and work so its difficult af time but the unprofessional, rude and selective service this eye care center provides was a shock to me.

Doctor and staff hasnt filled all data in the eye prescription, more over the staff is so rude and demanding money to fill PD information. Even though the prescpiton has this space to provide. Very disappointed with this kind of nature. Feeling ashamed that i went to this doctor regularliy ever year thinking they are good.

Horrible customer service. Needing to get new eye glasses adjusted and even though their posted hours say they are open, no one present to adjust glasses and the person in store did not know where he was!!! How is that possible? Are you open or not!

I was 20 min. Late due to a traffic accident and they will not take me in for my appointment, very inconsiderate.

There is one guy, not sure about the name.. Did my initial eye check up and his behavior is very rude.

Highly recommend them, very professional, polite and reasonable.
