Excellent eye doctor & great guy who helped pick out my glasses. Unfortunately, awful experience with the Doctors assistant & one other staff member. Assistant said Dr read my chart before I got there and said I needed dilation (even though I had dilation 2 weeks before for eye injury). So I declined the additional non-covered $50 procedure. Once I saw the Dr she said I didn’t need dilation after reading my chart!!! (for the first time). Next visit the office staff lady said nearsightedness is unable to see close up!!!!! Please train your staff on vision phrases!! They tried sending me away with reading glasses when I ordered glasses for my nearsightedness!!! (Dictionary: unable to see things clearly unless they are relatively close to the eyes, owing to the focusing of rays of light by the eye at a point in front of the retina; myopic.)

I wanted to take a moment and express how thankful I am to Dr. Javaheri and her staff. I have been having problems with my vision for a while and from the moment I called to set my appointment to the time I brought home my glasses, the team was amazing. They got me in quickly, did all the prior auths for my insurance, helped me fill out paperwork ahead of time and I felt completely protected and safe in this crazy world of covid. Even picking out my eyeglasses, they did everything possible to keep all of us safe. The frames are amazing and the glasses the perfect Rx. Ive worn glasses for 40 years and never have I had a better doctor for my eyes. Dr. J has top of the line machines and has such a great understanding of what her patients need. Clinically and emotionally in this crazy time. Thank you again!!!

Dr Javaheri is one of the best eye Doctors I have been to. She is professional kind and courteous. she explained everything she was doing and had time for questions.I worked with the manager, Tony, when I had an allergic reaction to the material that my new glasses were made from. He was amazing. No drama, just worked on finding a fair solution to replace them. I now have perfect itch free glasses!Thank you all for the perfect professional caring service.

Have been in to see Dr. J for a couple of visits now and am confident I am getting the most up to date care. My previous eye doc was a personal friend who I had been seeing since we both graduated from professional school. Almost 30 years! Unfortunately he is in downtown Seattle and with everything thats going on down there I figured better to be safe then sorry. Lots of choices in eye doctors in Issaquah and the eastside. I took a chance on Dr. J and am glad I did.

Had decided to switch to this office because it’s much closer to me living in Sammamish then a place I had gone to years ago. Everything was pretty normal when I arrived and was given the paperwork to fill out so no concerns there. Problem begins about 10 minutes into being taken to the back for my exam. I walked in with a cloth mask that has a solid heat extraction vent on the side. It fits snug with no exposing gaps. Not one of the ones that has a moving flap to release air and heat that the cdc says is unreliable. Mine has 3 layers of cotton and a pm rated charcoal filter between my face and the outer world. I was told that I needed to remove my mask and put a paper one on because mine has a vent. Keep in mind the masks they’re wearing have gaps and do not fit their faces properly. This is really not the problem with the desk employees but rather the doctor offering them paper masks that are to large. I declined and thought this shouldn’t even be a concern considering this is a high quality mask and the cdc has pictures on their website showing what masks with vents they are speaking of. At the end of the day I check and the cdc website clearly states that the paper surgical masks are a last ditch effort for protection and don’t really offer much for our safety. Needless to say I had to wear 2 masks while in attendance. Second issue was I kept being told to use a special machine in an alternative to traditional dilation that isn’t covered by my insurance, I decline and have my eyes dilated to further the exam. Exam gets completed and she further stresses the importance of this machine to get a full perspective of the retinas and their current condition. Keep in mind that after I got my eyes dilated I wasn’t given any kind of shades to protect my eyes from the sunlight. I’ve had cheaper low end offices offer that at least. Counter intuitive to suggest paying for a machine out of concern for my eyes but you allow customers to walk out after dilation unprotected. I was uncomfortable for an hour after leaving while getting a ride back home. At the end of the day I can’t say I’ll be going back here, they are far more concerned with dictating the kind of mask you wear as well as trying to provide things not really necessary for an eye exam. I wouldn’t even have wrote this review but we should expect way more from our “professionals”. We’re customers and I feel these doctors need to be reminded about that, especially considering we have options when it comes to what offices we pick.
