I have been to many gun shops over the years, some good, some not so good. Defenders Armory is hands down the BEST shop Ive had the pleasure of walking into. You couldnt ask for a better bunch of guys working there. They are all extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I will definitely be making many return trips to Defenders.

I can’t say enough about Dave who helped us, he spent a great deal of time helping my son select his first Rifle, he made this experience beyond exceptional. Jon also spent time with us helping install the sights and making sure the sale was a good one for us. Their knowledge and customer service is impeccable. This place is awesome! First time gun buyer and boy did these people make me feel comfortable! Dave was the person that took care of me and he gave me great advice as to, What’s the best gun to purchase that goes with my hand size lol. I felt like a real amateur but he put me in a comfortable place. So much that I was able to buy my gun. I feel good about it, and I was comfortable with my choice! I tried this place over my normal gun shop. it was smaller and the ammo was a tad more expensive but they had more specialty items especially for A.R. 15‘s customer service was OK

The staff will try to make you seem like you don’t know anything. I went in looking for a specific scope for my rifle and they tried to talk me out of it saying that’s not what I needed and make me go a different route but he didn’t realize I was trying to build a specific type of rifle and he didn’t understand. All around just wouldn’t go back because of the one guy, I will not name any names but be aware!

The best gunshop in Pittsburgh.These guys are the real deal, they have the best selection of high end firearms in the area, fair prices, and best of all awesome staff. This is not one of the many shops where the guy behind the counter is a know it all (who often is not) or just in it for a sale, these guys are true gun enthusiasts who are down to earth and always willing to help NOT hassle. They are on social media as well, and are always giving updates on stock/deals as well as give quick responses to dms.I will close my review with this, defender armory often post on how they have the best customers, but the feeling is mutual because my go to gunshop ROCKS!
