Stopped here to check it out and grab lunch. Very clean, well stocked and friendly staff. Asp amazing and delicious tacos that were super fresh and well presented. Highly recommend for all the specific groceries they offer and the food.

Walking into this amazing smallish yet astonishingly stocked Spanish/Mexican/Central and South American market brought me back to the best places in Los Angeles (where I grew up) and made me feel warm on a cold, snowy (!!!) day. I only had time to run in and out, as I was picking up a very specific ingredient for a restaurant right down the road so they could make the brand-new menu item that debuts today.I will be back again to check out the AMAZING smells coming from the small takeout taco counter in the left front corner of the store (the simmering meat and spices were heavenly) and peep at the multitude of specialty foods they have to offer.Who knows, I might even walk out with a llama piñata....

Love this place! My daughter and I are always comfortable going in to the taqueria and getting the most amazing food! We enjoy the atmosphere and the food is worth the short wait for fresh preparation of authentic mexican food for a great price.We got the chorizo tacos, chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, and creme filled churros made from a local business for our delight! Amazing! Better than I have ever had anywhere else! They go quick, and most days they are sold out by lunch. Lucky weekend score for us!#everydayistacotuesday

Great place to find groceries from Mexico and other Latam countries! They have packed goods and also frozen foods, meat and produce.

It is a real deal Mexican store they have a wide variety of food and merchandise and although I dont speak any Spanish I was able to navigate this place in part due to the courteous staff I personally love the pre seasoned chicken quarters

Today I got steaks tacos at the taqueria inside the market, they were delicious, they also set you up with a little veggies, very good, now the market is expanding and more latino products not just Mexican, I did enjoyed this visit.

Visited on Friday, March 19, 2001. Ordered two asada tacos for $5.00 and $1.00 tip. Should have looked at the product before I left but did not. At home opened the single take-out box and could not believe the mess inside. There were 3 roasted onions, 3 cucumber slices, 3 radish slices, and 3 small pieces of lime on top of two tacos squished down in one corner of the box, and I mean squished. When I finally got everything out on a plate and tried the tacos, one was so full of gristly meat it was inedible. This product is a disgrace. Do not waste your money. If you do decide to try something, be sure to examine the contents of the take-out box before you pay.

I just picked up four tacos (al pastor) and all I can say is WOW!I had gotten a couple a few weeks back and my wife wanted a taste so, now the order will be bigger whenever I stop. I can’t wait to try their barbacoa (Saturday only)!The store has tons of canned goods, nice selection of fresh produce, interesting meat counter as well.

Go eat there, the grocery stores w/ butchers are always the best. Simple menu but everything is good. Burritos are huge and the tacos are good sized too.

Best Mexican store is town there are lots of items and even ones that you wouldn’t find anywhere else is you are looking for to authentic Mexican ingredients, snacks, food, and drinks this is the place to go. On top of all that they even added a small little restaurant that makes wonderful tacos

So many great grocery options! The restaurant is delicious. Best beans and rice around! Super affordable and so tasty. They have amazing tortillas also! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The cook was very patient to explain the different meats available to my husband who doesnt know any Spanish. I was very happy with the friendliness and time he took to help us!

Being from Venezuela, we regularly buy certain products (corn flour, casabe, smoked plantain leaves, plantains, raw cane sugar, etc.) from the several Latin shops in the Kalamazoo region, of which El Ranchero is the bigger and best. They recently moved to a new and flashy place on Portage Road by the I94 with a larger parking lot. So they now look more like a regular supermarket rather than your actual shop. However, they usually have only a single cashier working, so the queue can be longer than most other food outlets in town.

I always find everything I need. Good costumer service. Few visitors use race masks though.

Very disappointed. High prices and dont even get me started with the amount of products that were expired. Will not be coming back nor will I recommend it to anyone

We were hoping to get some tamales, but they were out, so we opted for chicken burritos. They were simply amazing! Very authentic, and the salsa roja is out of this world! The selection of dried chiles is huge. Will definitely be visiting every week.

I love the foods and treats but felt pretty unwelcome. Not very friendly to non-hispanic peoples. I still go in on occasion. They just ignore me when I ask something or have a question. We are all people. No hate on my end. I grew up eating Mexican candies and foods.

The tacos they make there are fire!!! This market has a large selection of goya products! Alot of ingredients for PR and DR cooking too!! Glad this market is here in kzoo!

Horrible service. The food is expired and the carnitas are in an open cooler that everyone reaches in to grab there pork. Talk about unsanitary! And the cashier doesnt greet u with a simple hello or even say thank you or have a nice day. I thought maybe it was due to a language barrier but I heard him speak to another employee in perfect English. Save your money and time and shop elsewhere.

Best Mexican grocery store in town. Has the cleanest carniceria Ive ever seen, with seriously great deals on meats you wont find anywhere else. Also has low prices on their Mexican food supplies. Great produce with excellent hot pepper selection including red jalapenos, fresh ripe habenero and serrano peppers. I included some pics of the peppers I got there. On Saturdays they feature home made tamales, barbacoa and menudo for take out. Awesome and my favorite Mexican market!
