Oh da best store for fresh fruit! I picked up a mixed fruit bowel and I wished I had 4 of them they was the bestest! Bakery is ono, as well as selection of meats poultry and fish! Dont forget check out all the cheeses at their deli as well as their signature soups! Tuscany tomato bisque, and baked potato soup are my favorite. Guys if you like the hardy kind steak Chile, signature Chile is the best!

This store is always nicely stocked and displays are always full and nice. Never need big empty areas in their displays and merchandise is usually always fronted. Lots of cashiers also so the wait to pay is quick and painless.

No fried chicken for walk in but had a lots of phone orders made l dont understand she told me l had to wait 25 to 30 min. Then l walked out very mad walk in should be first

Low number of people mid day. Limited stocking of certain items, smallest canned vegetable section Ive seen, but its canned vegetables so... dessert section isnt bad. From cookies, pies, and a pudding ring thing, all were good and held up until I was able finish them a few days to a week later (with refrigeration).

Safeway has a good selection of fresh produce & grocery items. Sale prices are really good. They have $5 Friday specials every Friday.

Found everything I needed and workers more than often very pleasant and helpful.

The price here is higher than other supermarkets . However Safeway is the only place which has the big tub of Smart Balance, that why we shop there sometimes.

Service Deli has a Ho.e Gate special. 6 pack of soda, chips, salsa, 1lb. Chicken tenders, 1lb. Chicken wings and 1pb. of jo-jo potatoes for $18. Aftwr tax.

The staff are dedicated professionals. They go above and beyond every day to help customers. Working with them as a contractor has shown me the commitment they have to help their community. I have the highest respect for Safeway and the people who work there every day.

Its not a large Safeway, but it has most of what youd expect to find in a supermarket. The staff are usually helpful. There is construction going on at various places in the shopping center at the moment so the parking lot can be congested at peak times.

Love this location! Friendly staff and low pressure. Good part of town to have a grocery store as well!

$$$$ Among the most expensive grocery stores on-island. No, I dont want to shop on special days or play your Monopoly lottery game in order to score a decent deal. Prefer Foodland down the road or Even Whole Foods in Kailua.

They recently locked the liquor away in locked display cases. To access the liquor you have to schlep over to Customer Service. If youre lucky someone is at the counter, otherwise you have to find an employee to help. Its all such a hassle!Cheaper and easier to get liquor other places.

Love the Bakery staff. They are always friendly and we always order our cakes from here.

Its good that not many people go there, but the products are almost as the same cost as foodland or Walgreens or maybe a little more pricey.

Probably the best store with variety in Kaneohe.

Easy to find items.. And bakery was closing up but the aunty that was working there was so nice.. She saw that we needed help and offered assistance.. Also at checkout.. The gentleman that was ringing us up was so friendly.. As we were walking out.. All of the cashiers were greeting thier customers and smiling.. What a wonderful shopping experience.. Amazing job Safeway.

Management does not seem to have a handle on his employees or the work load needed to keep the store functioning at a efficient level. Products frequently out of stock, produce is poor quality. When you find beautiful nectarines at $2.99 # they bagger DUMPS them at the bottom of the bag or puts heavy cans on them??!! Dryers ice cream frequently on sale, yay, but little or no stock. How can you continue to be out of stock of chocolate? In stock today but I wasnt going straight home.The produce department ALWAYS has 3 or more carts on the floor. Often with no clerk on the floor. Use one cart, stock return to whse to restock cart and return to store. Continue until done.Bakery Dept is fantastic. Always, neat, clean and well stocked. Ive given up on the Deli. Location is fantastic, lots of parking.

This Safeway is open early which gives it a ratings boost, not the best but on island top 5 so its decent. Meets all of my grocery needs. Lacks check out clerks but other than that its pretty solid.

Great place to buy for a family because the unit prices are cheap when on sale. Staff always keep the store clean from floors to roof.

Extremely dispointed in the service here! We along with MANY other patron stood in line for nearly 10 min... Waiting for the only two cashiers to help out 20 plus in the LONG line! I finally gave up, walked to the floral counter and explained the situation... Advised line was very long, only 2 cashier and nobody had bothered to call for back up cashiers! Took another 5 min to get the call and then another 10 minutes for cashier backups to get up front and alleviate some of the backed up waiting. Whats frustrating is that neither of the 2 cashiers even put ANY effots to call for help!! You make a TON of money from the locals and tourists and give terrible service! How difficult was it to do the job right?!! Pic I posted was the line about 3/4 of the length... Crazy!

Its a very clean store with a good selection I have been to 8 Safeways and this one is my favorite.

Its safeway. Its not the best one Ive ever been to, nor is it the worst. The main problem is there never seems to be enough cashiers. Many times theres only 1 or 2 lanes open with 6 or 7 lanes closed while theres a ton of people waiting. It helps that theyve started to utilize the self checkout more often though. If you need someone to help you find something, good luck. The employees at the deli often take their sweet time and dont acknowledge you for a while, but the cashiers are usually friendly. Im glad its 24 hours, its great for Kaneohe to have that

Safeway always has a good size crowd throughout the day and what I love about Safeway is there self checkout.

The Kaneohe Safeway has rearranged the merchandise in the store. Everything is in different aisles, be prepared to spend a little extra time finding everything on your list.

I shop here because they have a huge variety of Organic foods. Also beef thats free range grown on the Big Island. The store is clean and well kept. People that work there are nice, friendly, and helpful. My only complaint is often there are long lines.

Poor. We are visitors and the checker acknowledged we were visitors and then didnt give us any of the food at sale price. I just walked away with a bad taste in my mouth. We were in Laie two nights before at their grocery store and the checker was just the exact opposite, nice, understood we were not locals and rang us up with the sale prices. Much better and made us feel we were not getting taken advantage of.

Nice organic produce, great price on the blue cheese dressing I love and a wonderful selection of kombucha flavors.

Safeway had everything I went in for, and the checker was very personable and helpful.

I love the bakery, deli, fresh produce and even the flowers! We go here very often and are usually very pleased. My only complaint is sometimes the cashiers are a bit moody but most of them are really nice!

The employees here are fantastic and friendly and prices are great, but if youre in a rush DO NOT go here. Any time of day there are crazy lines going down into the aisles. And dont even think about buying ice cream here! Guaranteed to melt.

This is a great grocery store. If you dont live in Hawaii you might be shocked at the prices but thats just the way that it is here. They have a really good selection here. The one discrepancy I have is the lines are usually long. You can go at 10 pm and still have to wait in line. I would give 5 stars if they opened more registers.

I like the ambience of the store, the variety of fresh produce, the variety from the deli, and everything else. I dont go very often because it is pricey. So I go there for my smaller needs.

I havent been there in a while, but when I was, the employees were always so sweet and helpful. And the poké they serve, or just the fish in general is all amazing! The produce is well taken care of and watered, and the food always tastes so good. And the fact that there is a panda express right next to the store, its very convenient.

The store was clean and well stocked. The selection was what I would expect from a Safeway on the Mainland. The fresh baked goods were good. I was well satisfied with the friendliness of the staff. My only concern was the prices that one has to pay in Hawaii.

Good, larger selection. BUT, I dont like the very long... lines sometime 5-7 people deep, while other cashier are just standing around. Open more register would be smart.

Great people working here, but the lines are so long. They just need more cashiers. I think there are just not enough people to hire because I always see now hiring signs when I walk in. Pretty standard Safeway with great people, but the long lines are just terrible.

Convenient hours. A lot of diverse and organic items. Safeway has good sales and service majority of the time. Shopping late is even better.

This store is never well stocked with their sale or just for u items. It is more expensive then foodland or times, but their bakery offerings are higher quality then the other stores. Whenever I use the app to shop for my list, I have never been successful in obtaining all the items in one shopping experience.

Standard grocery store that is kept clean and well run. But the AC was absolutely criminally cold. I know AC is used liberally in Hawaii, and that grocery stores often keep the environment very cold because it subconsciously makes people hungrier..... but this was next level. Literally shivering and chattering teeth.

Plenty of choices at the olive bar. CHECK THE ADS BEFORE YOU SHOP HERE- if its NOT on SALE at Safeway, youre going to pay too much! Ex: Palm corned beef can= $8.49 but just down the road at Times Kahaluu, Palm corned beef can is only $5.99!!!! But when stuff IS ON SALE, you wont find a better deal in town! Love the friendly cashiers too!

I normally don’t mind the store and usually just use the self checkout . However, the Deli counter staff is horribly slow and seem very passive-aggressive. Every time I have been there, they do other things for about 7 minutes or so before getting the food out to prepare. I just stand waiting . They don’t seem to care! . What is normally a 5 minute task takes at least 20 minutes ! The staff needs to up their game. I won’t hit the Dell again.

Safeway is always stocked with general merchandise. We like how their organic food are various and well stocked. Great shopping experience with their app. Love their attention to the Just for you section of the app.

I tried calling to get some information but no one picked up the phone. I was on the phone for 15 minutes trying to get customer service. I tried other departments but no one picked up. Terrible customer service.

Store needs more gluten free options

The store itself is very nice. Shelves are well stocked. Deli and meat counters have a lot of fresh choices. Problem here is lines! The lines here are plain stupid. Its the middle of the day on a Saturday or dinner rush on a weekday and theyll have two, maybe three registers open. Lines snake through the front lobby down the aisles. This has been a problem for quite some time! They NEED more cashiers.

They are offering more organic items than before. Thats great, but the prices could get better. Theyre still on the expensive side.

I was shopping at the Kaneohe Safeway after 2 pm and was ready to check out. There were 9 people in line and one check out clerk . This happens all too often at this Safeway location. I was the sixth customer in line and the customer ahead was expressing her disgust because she was experiencing these long lines and the lack of an adequate number of check out clerks only at this Safeway market . I wholeheartedly agreed with her. I experience this almost every time I shop here. My husband has too and he has been encouraging me to shop at Times or Foodland instead of Safeway. Needless to say, Im trying to be patient but my patience is near its end. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY OR IM FOLLOWING MY HUSBANDS ADVICE !!

Took foreverrrr just to cash a check. We were literally waiting for 19 minutes. One of the workers stopped by us and asked if anyone was helping us. We said no. She pressed the button and proceeded to walk away.. finally another 10 minutes and someone else came.

My favorite store. The staff especially are so nice and full of Aloha!

The thing to watch out for is long lines during peak hours. I like the selection of organics that they offer. Produce is in the higher price range but baked goods are tasty.

The only food store on the Windward side to offer a wide range of Vegan food items. In addition, food is always fresh.

Since I first downloaded the app I have used it three times since you can only get the Just for U discount price by selecting it online. Each time I use it I always ask the clerk if I got the Just for U discount and show it selected on my phone, and every time they tell me I did. Only afterwards when I look at the reciept do I find out that I did not get the discount so then I have to stand in line at Customer Service to get a refund which is a big waste of time.
