Excellent service, great products and fair pricing - what more can you ask for? We had a dock and boat lift installed 3 years ago from Schmidts. Although it worked out fine, we decided that we wanted to add some more sections and move it to the other side of the property which they did the following year. Last year the lake level became so high that the lake was restricted with a no-wake ordinance so we couldnt use our boat which we used mainly for tubing and skiing. Since the lake level is still increasing, this year we had Schmidt remove the boat lift to sell on consignment (which they sold - we just received the check) and also replaced some of the dock legs to raise it higher. Through all of this we were always extremely pleased with their communication, service and pricing. Damien Ellis was a pleasure to work with and never gave us any sales pressure. The great group of guys on their work crews were always on time and worked quickly. Id give them all a 5+ rating!

Your team showed up and went to work installing our large pier. They worked very efficiently and finished in less than an hour. They also cut up and removed a large tree that had washed up and was blocking the pier installation. I sincerely appreciate their efforts and results.

I had an excellent experience with Schmidt Docks. The salesperson was very polite and helpful. No run around, no gimmicks. I was even more pleased with the installation crew. Mainly by crew leader Cory. Cory, after coming out to my location, assessed what material I had purchased and realized due to I was on a river with fluctuating water levels, he pointed out to me some minor options that would benefit me and showed me where a few of the current pieces I had purchased may not be the best solution for me. He explained everything in great detail and ended up saving me a few dollars, but most importantly he took the time to explain to me what I had purchased and what my additional needs were. By explaining this up front before he actually installed them, I was able to make the decision to go with the other solution he recommended before any parts became used and had no problem returning my parts and getting the replacement parts. He then managed to still get my dock installed in time for that upcoming weekend I had a family cookout planned and wanted to use my dock. I am very grateful and very impressed with their knowledge and taking the extra time to explain the situation to me before installing any of the parts and then at that point they would have been considered used parts. Schmidt’s has served me well fir a number of years. The attitude of every person there revolves around treating their customers very well. Recently I had one of those “above and beyond expectations” experiences when I arrived at Schmidt’s shortly after a severe storm had rearranged the premises and shut down electrical service. They paused their clean-up activities, located my pieces and got me loaded, telling me to call back in a few days to figure out payment. This kind of “old school” customer service is all too rare but much appreciated.

I purchased a 8,000 lb. boat lift from Mike Campbell. He was very responsive in his communication. The weather was not favorable for installation and Tori was very accommodating and we had to reschedule 3 times. On the day of installation, Shane,Corey and Nick were very professional with the installation. Even when it started to rain, they continued to work on the lift until it was set up correctly. It was a challenging install and they worked hard to get it right. The quality of the lift has been impressive so far.

Our dock is a couple years old now and holding up well. The team at Schmidt always gives us plenty of advance notice before the put it in or take it out, and their efficiency is rather amazing. No way we could get the dock out of that cold choppy water in 15 minutes! We recommend them highly for your dock, boat lift, and similar needs.

I had a great experience with Schmidt. My sales rep. Mike Boldt out the Waupaca location was absolutely wonderful to work with. He laughed at my corny jokes but more importantly he was a constant professional. If you are looking to buy a dock from Schmidt, ask for Mike, he will answer your questions and take care of you. As for the installers, great group of young men who are all about business but were pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Schmidt Boat & Docks, they are customer centric.
