I called Appliance Advantage after having issues with two appliances that were just outside the warranty timeframe. I found the information from the LG website but knowing that appliances were out of warranty, I went through AA directly instead of LG. Scheduling the initial consult was easy, pleasant, and quick. What makes the company 5 stars is the tech who came out twice and will be coming back a third time. He is pleasant, quiet, compassionate and knowledgeable. He is not a salesman and not looking to cause consumers more money. I appreciate his honesty and empathy when faced customers who are upset with the product. I look forward to continuing business with Appliance Advantage when we face our next appliance issue.

I recently purchased a portable A/C as well as a new washer and dryer. The service at the store was wonderful! Then I had to go home to measure for the washer and dryer, called them to purchase over the phone. Perfect and smooth!Received a phone call the day before delivery to remind me. And another phone call the day of delivery to tell me they would be at my home in about 20 minutes and they were.My washer and dryer go into a closet and must be stacked. I could not have asked for 3 better delivery people! Cornelius, Hector and Ben were careful and everything and I mean everything went super smoothly. They even gave me time to clean the dust accumulation of 16 years!Appliance Advantage is my store for any more appliance purchases I may need.

This is my second purchase from Appliance Advantage in less than a year. Pricing is very fair, customer service is excellent! They worked with me to answer all of my questions honestly and got me exactly what I was looking for quickly! If you do have a problem and need to call them, you will get a live person and not a call center. Using a smaller company that cares about customer service and repeat business is the way to go!
Repair man was working for only 2.0 hours, provided no parts and charged me $400.00 to service my refrigerator. It stopped working the next day!! I had to call to get an invoice which just stated “service call” @ $ 400.00 nothing else!!! I would never call these rip off artists again!! This is the 2nd lousy experience I have had with them, I figured I’d give them another try—-NEVER AGAIN!!! We just bought another refrigerator, BUT NOT FROM THEM!!!

Thank you Appliance Advantage The repair of my LG Refrigerator was flawless. Ben the technician was in and out quickly diagnosing the issue and then installing the needed part. Ben also provided me with some education about my unit. If you are looking for a repair in the area give these folks a call. We plan to visit the showroom in the future for additional purchases. Dealing with the big box stores has been an option but they now dont have anyone in the area to fix my appliance even though I have a service contract. I have longed to find a full serve center that sells the same appliances (and so much more) that we love, and this just might be it.
When the tech from Appliance Advantage called me 15 minutes before the visit -- my first contact with the actual service company -- I explained that I needed a new power cord for the oven due to visible rodent damage, and that my only concern was that he would perform the initial visit, confirm what was already known, charge the service fee, and then require a return visit. I was wrong; it was worse. He did exactly what I predicted but also informed me that he could not make this simple repair because the original part was out of stock from the manufacturer.I purchased a standard cord for $15 and fixed the oven myself. Having this company come to my home was a waste of my time and $200.
Justin and Richard just left after delivering my new stoves... they were awesome... considerate of my walls and even put a piece of cardboard on the floor while moving the stoves into place... I was able to use their referral to have my stoves hooked up.. it was quick and easy... we are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood.. for service and quality appliances...I would gladly refer them to anyone looking for appliances... thanks guys..

Appliance Advantage was GREAT to work with. I called for service on my dryer and they came out to our home to repair within a couple of hours. The technician, Ben, was exceptional with his communication and quickly repaired the dryer with all pricing estimates provided upfront. He took the dryer completely apart and thoroughly cleaned inside as standard protocol. I would highly recommend them for any of your appliance service needs.
Highly recommend! My freezer went and then my fridge over New Years (of course) and I called and spoke to Ben the next day. He himself actually came out to do the service call that very same day. The service man had a family emergency and instead of canceling he came himself. Very personable explained everything as he went and my options. I was up and running by the time he left!!

Needed a new dishwasher over the holidays. Emailed the company and Ben provided me with appropriate options via email—and answered all my questions, even on New Years Eve. The new dishwasher was delivered and installed within days. Installers were friendly, knowledgeable, and Covid sensitive. Five star experience.
I will never do business with these guys again. My Kitchen Aid mixer was running at only two speeds, (snail slow and kablooey), creating a mess of flour everywhere. I adapted by covering it with a dishtowel to mitigate the flour explosions but after months of pandemic baking I had a lightbulb moment, Hey. Maybe the ol workhorse needs a tune up. I know, genius-level insight, right? $75 to diagnose it seemed fair to me. I was told Id get a call shortly with a report. After two weeks I called to find out what was up and I was told it would cost more to repair than buying a new one. Ok, it happens. However when I didnt replace it through them, and came and picked it up, what I didnt know was it had been further wrecked. Fast forward several weeks, I get a wild hair to make banana bread and plug it in~but it doesnt work at all now. The motors running, sort of, and the attachments wont rotate. It hasnt been put back together properly, or it was broken in the shop or?? I then make the day-ruining mistake of calling. I was first told they paid the technician way more than the $75 diagnostic fee, so they cant refund it. Huh. Probably not, and probably not my problem. Then I as I was wondering out loud how *I* ended up paying *them* $75 to break my mixer, I was told that a manager had been contacted and *he* had texted back that it hadnt worked when I left with it. Um. Nope. Then a service manager called, I thought to help me out, but no, she was just calling to double down. She reports that she saw with her own eyes that it *did* work when I left with it. That sounds weird to me, especially as she laments that she should have filmed it. Wait, What? It suddenly occurs to me that I have stepped on a customer service landmine. They think Im scamming them. Got it, no one in this joint actually wants to believe Im telling the truth. So there ya go: evidently I took valuable time and energy out of a busy day filled with all sorts of minding--my-own-business-type activities to scam them out of $75, over a month after I dropped my mixer off for a tune up. I guess from their point of view, its possible. People can be jerks. But in this case, thats not what happened, and they clearly decided their best strategy was to beat me to it. Pro tip: If your business model means your advertised service department is actually a funnel to new sales, maybe you need to rethink things. p.s. the banana bread was killer, even if I did have to use a whisk (*gasp*)
Appliance Advantage are lifesavers! Weve had an issue with our washer which Ben was able to quickly diagose and resolve. About two weeks later, our dryer started giving us an error message. The whole team quickly helped us get a part ordered and the problem fixed. Their estimate of the work was spot-on and Ben was great one again. While I hope I dont need to see them again for a while, I know who I will be contacting if I do!
I tried other services and never even got a call back. My mother asked a local person and got referred to Appliance Advantage. I called and got a live person right away. 1 call and I got a service date right away. Ben came on the service date. He was very professional and friendly and assured me that he was take care of everything. Within a short time he had repaired everything that I had waited months for help. It can be tough to find someone to service an LG dryer, but they were able to get me a timely appointment, and once here, Ben & Stephen were able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue.Both technicians were masked the whole time, which was very nice to see.

We spent over $3000.00 for a speed Queen Dryer and Washer and recently recommended a new customer to them who also purchased a new washer and dryer. We had 2 problems with our front loader washer and asked for service to call us back. We researched the problem code on our own. They failed to call us back in service. The other day also had a problem with the washer stopping. Again we called for a service technician to call us back. No one in service would return the call. Not happy and wont recommend them anymore.
I ordered a refrigerator and had it delivered, the two young men who came out was very professional, on time, told me everything I needed to know about service and care on it, Richard told me to call with any problems out concerns. I went to the show room and spoke with a nice gentleman. I had a problem with my viking stove and the said it would be $300 and that would then be deducted from the bill. So the service man came over and looked at the burned out heating element in the oven. Just as I showed him. He went to the truck to do research. ( find the part #) and came back with an $800 repair cost. I ask why so much. He told me it was a high end stove (true) parts are expensive(true) and that they had to be compensated for their time(true). I told him this was crazy and asked for my 300 back that I had given him seconds before. He did. Then I told him their is now way I am paying that kind of money. The Viking genuine part sold by a dealer was $160. Following a video on youtube it took me less than five minutes to replace. I would have paid 300 for parts and labor, but I got it done for the $160 and I will never do any business with them.
We had 2 technicians out from this company. They were very respectful and repaired my machine quickly. April, the front desk lady, is so sweet. She made sure I had an appointment quickly. She also listened to my complaining about the washer and dryer not working. She made me feel very comfortable and listened to. We will continue to purchase our appliances here. From the owner, technicians, front desk it has been nothing but a positive experience.
WARNING!!! I do not recommend Appliance Advantage to anyone!! I have been a home owner for over 20 years, and have had various things done at my home over the years, and I NEVER complain, EVER. Today my experience with Appliance Advantage Service was as bad as you can get, and I am furious that I feel that I was taken advantage of. They charged me $149.99 just to come out and look at my dishwasher, and walked away with my issue unresolved. They quoted me $450.00 to repair my dishwasher, and I declined to have them do anything else because something didnt feel quite right. Turns out, I was 100% right!! I had another very experienced appliance service company come out to look at my dishwasher, and the service tech diagnosed the issue completely different than Appliance Advantage. Here is the most disturbing part of my whole experience with Appliance Advantage, the second appliance repair company that came to my home to look at my dishwasher, fixed my issue completely, and only charged me $130.00 which included parts and labor. Appliance Advantage service techs were way off, and completely wrong about what needed to be repaired, and did not seem very experienced with appliance repair. If I had allowed them to replace the parts that they thought needed replacing, I would still be having the issue that I had in the first place, and I would have spent $450.00, and no resolution for my dishwasher issue. I dont know if Appliance Advantage is just quoting high service prices because they dont know what they are doing or they may be trying to sell new appliances. I repeat, would NOT recommend Appliance Advantage to anyone!!!!!

Ben from Advantage Appliance came out on a Sunday morning to address a compressor issue. He literally saved the day but more importantly, saved our Amanda refrigerator. He is knowledgeable and a skillful technician. He was able to describe the issue in understandable terms and quickly fixed the problem. This is my second experience dealing with this company. I highly recommend them!

I had a really disappointing experience with this organization. The repairman was great, and although I thought their prices were pretty outrageous I agreed to them. However we continued to have the same issue with our dryer, and now they are saying that since it wasn’t on the initial repair request (I don’t know how that’s possible, since it’s one of the 3 things I called about - but my fault for not getting a full itemized receipt) they want to charge us another $100 for a call out.My issue really boils down to the treatment I received from the woman I spoke to when I called to try and schedule the repair technician. She was unprofessional and sarcastic. When I pointed out the initial repairs were “simple” (not implying I was an expert or denigrating their work, merely trying to explain they didn’t have to do anything to our washing machine which we had called about, and our dryer just needed a part replaced), she began laughing at me and saying “oh it was simple? Then why didn’t your husband do it?” I was really taken aback by her tone - i wasn’t being rude or aggressive, and her complete lack of professionalism took me off guard. I hung up on her because I didn’t feel like I could continue the conversation, as it wasn’t going anywhere.In any case, even if a customers issue can’t be resolved, the very least you’d expect was a polite and respectful conversation. We spent $700 on repairs with them. I regret every penny and wish I’d gone elsewhere.UPDATE: April went above and beyond to resolve my issues. Without prompting, she reviewed the call and reached out to further apologize to me. She then helped problem solve to fix our issue. She didnt ask for anything further - Im updating this review of my own accord - and I am really, really pleased with this result.

I contacted Appliance Advantage to schedule service on a Fridge. They responded same day and had me scheduled for the following week. On the day of the appt, Sid (service tech) called me 15 minutes ahead of arrival. He was friendly & knowledgeable and after explaining the overall problem and what the fix would be, he took care of the needed repair. Appliance Advantage will be my goto from here on out

My Bosch dishwasher turned it self on. I cut the power to it since it would not turn off. When the service man arrived, I put the power back on and everything was fine. Was told that if it happened again, it would probably happen within the warranted time for a call back. It happened after that time. Once again, I turned the breaker off; let it rest for a few days and it was fine. In the meantime, I called another repair man.When he arrived, he took the machine apart to find the cause and discovered it. So between the $199 charged for the first call and $169 for the second, I could have bought a new dishwasher. He literally walked in and walked out with a check for $199.
A friend recommended me to call Appliance Advantage. I have to say it was the best advice of this year. My experience was so positive I am the one now recommending this business. When I called I spoke to April. She was so sweet and positive and professional. She listened to me talk about my awful day and never once made me feel rushed or like I was bothering her(which meant a lot). She also set me up an appointment for that afternoon! The technician was Duke. He called to let me know he was only 15 minutes away from my house. He was professional and kind. He looked at my washer and told me right away what needed to be done to repair it. He was able to do the repair in under an hour. He was so sweet that he didnt even mind my grandson asking him a million questions. He answered every one of them and even let him hold his flashlight to help. Due to April and Duke I will use this company over and over.
Sid was an amazing technician. He replaced my dryer heating coil and cleaned my dryer duct which was dangerously dirty and clogged. He went beyond his duty to make sure it was cleaned out through, under, and behind the dryer. Thanks Sid! We cant wait for our new refrigerator to come.

He helped me look up the owners manual and walked me through how to call for warranty information. He outlined several options for me to choose the best course of action between repair or replacement. He took time to be personal and informative. Ive had repair men come before who were so overbooked and behind schedule that the experience felt rushed. Joseph took his time and was thorough. When we called Appliance Advantage to continue due diligence in deciding whether to repair or replace, Ben was patient and informative. Ive really enjoyed working with this company. Today was the second time I have used Appliance Advantage for service on appliances that I did not purchase from them. Each time I have found the staff (Duke both times and Joe this time) to be courteous and well informed. It is helpful to have this store and staff in the area. I plan to make future appliance purchases from Appliance Advantage. The in-store staff, especially Ben, are as courteous and well informed as the service staff.

Appliance Advantage has a quality service organization. We had a issue with our clothes washer and contacted Appliance Advantage; they were quick to respond. Early the next day their service technician Tony was at our door. He promptly corrected the problem, answered our questions and cleaned up the washer and dryer. Tony was professional and courteous.
Appliance Advantage is very customer oriented. We have had problems with both our clothes dryer and microwave/oven combination and they have come to the house in very short order to diagnose the issue. Duke has been the repairman both times and he has done an extraordinary job! I love that they are local and that they are full service - not like big box stores.
We are immensely pleased with the speed, accuracy and efficiency of our recent kenmore stove repair done by Joe. He was on time, pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about our appliance. Interestingly when we called Sears repair, we got someone out of the country who had little knowledge of our stove and couldnt schedule a repair for several weeks, which meant not having the use of our oven, a major set back for us! Well Appliance Advantage came in 3 days, ordered the part and 2 days later we had a working oven!!! We cant say enough good about this company! Highly recommended.

Ive used this company before with good results but they now have gone downhill. The man they sent out Joe. Instead of answering my question he would blow around it never really answering me straight. Made it sound like he know a lot. He stayed over an hour and still did not fix my appliance. I dont have the money to waste on this. If you call this company and this man comes to your door do not answer. Cancel your service repair. I am posting this on this site too because I called this office to make the appointment. I live in New Hampshire
Weve used Appliance Advantage for an appliance purchase (dishwasher) and a service call (stove). After their diagnosis of our stoves problems, we decided wed rather just buy a new one, and are awaiting delivery on it this week. They were very responsive and knowledgeable each time weve dealt with them. Their showroom is small, however its nice to not be overwhelmed at the same time. For any items that they dont have on the floor, theyll sit with you to go over options online, so its much better than just researching on my own. Both purchases had delivery in less than a week, so I cant ask for much more!
The drum on my Maytag dryer stopped spinning last Sunday. I stopped by Appliance Advantage yesterday, Thursday to find out if they had a replacement belt. I also asked how long it would take for a service call. Duke just left after doing the repair ...... less than 24 hours later ! Very nice guy and obviously knows his stuff. Appreciate the quick service and courtesy.
9/1/17 The technician, Duke, arrived on time. He was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Duke was able to diagnose the problems with the appliances quickly. The parts have been ordered and we should be good to go very shortly. We were very pleased with our service call.
My call about a dishwasher repair was returned promptly and an appointment scheduled the next day. Duke was very nice and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the problem in detail and was able to affect a quick fix while we waited for the ordered part to arrive.
After calling several appliance repair places and being told the soonest appointment for refrigerator service was 3 weeks out (!), we found Appliance Advantage who came the following day. I meant to write this review a few weeks ago. My refrigerator needed repair so I called this store. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and gave me an appointment for the next day. The person who came to look at my refrigerator was Duke. He was very courteous and professional. He explained what my quote for repair in easy terms. He even came back that week to finish the repair. It was a good experience right from first contact.
We had an problem with our Kitchenaid Dishwasher. We were able to schedule a service call the same day. The service technician, Joseph, was able to find the problem within 15-20 minutes and our appliance was running properly within 30 minutes. Joseph was very helpful in explaining the problem and how to handle it in the future. Very pleased with the efficiency and quality of the service.
I can’t say enough about how much this company cares about not only making the right sale but following through to ensure satisfaction. Without Ben and the fact that the company also has kitchen installation staff, I never could have gotten the first choice range. They came in and modified my granite countertop which surrounded a slide in range in order to obtain more depth for the new range. Now that the new dual fuel range is in and fully installed they will reinstall the backsplash and modify a drawer front so my kitchen will look like nothing was ever changed.We have used Appliance Advantage in the past for repairs but are thrilled to have one-stop shopping from purchase to install to repairs if needed. This store and staff are top notch!
Duke was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He took care of my dryer issue on the day of the scheduled service and wasted no time doing it. However, for parts and labor, I think the company is way over priced.
We bought a washer and dryer and above the range microwave. From store to install the service was great! We love them all and took them up on their offer to fix our dishwasher. It was bought online through Home Depot (big mistake) and delivered broken (the catch). If we ever upgrade our appliances we will be buying them at Appliance Advantage!

Appliance Express was amazing, my washer went down and they were able to get it fixed for me within 24 hours. The cost was reasonable and the people at this place were very nice, and helpful. When the washer in our rental property developed problems, my first call was to Appliance Advantage in Kennebunk, ME.I knew from past experience that they would be fast, friendly, reliable and reasonable.We scheduled our service call for Tuesday a.m. (less than a day later!), spoke with Duke on site, reviewed our options with Ben at the store, decided on a new Speed Queen washer and will take delivery and installation/hook-up on Friday. Less than three days turn-around-time!
Why go out of town to purchase your appliances?! I just picked up a portable GE air conditioner & paid less than a similar unit that I could have purchased at Home Depot. Shop local!!!

Had an issue with my Viking Refrigerator/ Freezer leaking. Duke the technician diagnosed the problem quickly and got right to work to fix it. Great to have someone local to work on these appliances. To find a repair mechanic for an LG dryer proved to be difficult until I found Appliance Advantage. Duke came out and inspected our dryer and found what the problem was rather quickly. He was very professional and courteous. I would use Appliance Advantage again and would have no problem recommending them to family and friends.
Joseph arrived on time, was very professional, and got the job done well. He seems friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that he explained the problem and how the appliance works.
We had a bit of an appliance emergency when our 20 year-old electric cooktop totally went on a Saturday morning. We had renters coming into our place on Tuesday and needed a quick solution. Ben and the crew from Appliance Advantage engineered a solution using their existing inventory and worked late on a Saturday to replace the cooktop the same day.

Great place to pick up appliances. They have a huge selection of washers, dryers, fridges, and even some stove top ranges. The service is friendly and the items look to be in good shape for a fraction of the price of new appliances; the ones i bought are performing admirably. Great selection and very helpful staff.
The staff at Appliance Advantage was so helpful to me when I was so frustrated by unresponsive dealings with other repair companies. I only wish I could give these guys a big fat zero. We called for an assessment of our washing machine that had died. Duke and Tony came to the house and did a quick diagnostic to determine there was a defective starter. The estimate for the repair was $400. In the process they of examining the washer they broke the hose to the water source and left the water turned on. By the time we returned home the basement was flooded. I left several messages with April for the owner. He never returned my call...and did nothing about the flood and would not credit the $130 services fee. They DID NOTHING....flooded the basement with 4 inches of water and collected their fee...then would not even offer the courtesy of a returned. phone call not to mention a credit. Pathetic....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE INCOMPETENTS!

Duke arrived on time and though he had the parts was unable to remove a bolt to finish the job. He will return later when we get the bolt out for him. Very pleasant and personable and I felt he was very truthful.
Our refrigerator had turned off a few days ago and the freezer seemed a little warmer than it should be. We called around to a few places and E Appliance Repair was able to come out the soonest. Best service EVERRRR!!!
Used this Company several times and the result is fantastic. Appliance advantage has come to my house several times. I have worked with Ben and I must say that he gave what he promised. He may take time to arrive, but I know he is busy. Everybody is having an issue with their home appliance and Ben is the first contact. That is how I know him. I contracted this company to fix my fridge and microwave. I was amazed to have these appliances live and working again. I was thinking of replacing especially the freezer, but it seems that it had a small problem and is going to work fine for a long time. The claim of experience and specialty here is true.
I called for dryer repair and Duke was there in a couple of hours. He tried his best but the motor was a goner. Im heading to the Kennebunk store for a replacement in the morning. These folks are the best and supporting local businesses is important to us.
I woke up to my fridge not working. They were able to come to my house within 3 hours and fix the issue. Duke was very helpful.

Duke came to repair our washing machine in our RV at our campground. Very polite and professional! It didn’t take him long to figure out the issue. Not only did he troubleshoot our washing machine, but he actually listened to our issues with it. (Recently I spent a lot of time on the phone with another business (on another subject) and it took 20 minutes of my time to have the technician finally come to the conclusion I had suggested to him at the beginning of my call!) So refreshing to meet someone like Duke who listens and is professional and efficient! (Oh. And friendly!). Thanks!

Total liars and thieves! I was told that my service call would be $175, applied to any repairs...I agreed to a $625,00 repair. Duke, a nice guy, didn’t know what he was doing with my LG refrigerator. He came with the wrong board first, then replaced that and the refrig/freezer still wasn’t working. I put the amount in two payments on AmericanExpress...received a call that within two days I would have a check for $450.00 returned as they “couldn’t fix machine”...never got the check....got another message, apologizing they didn’t send the check and they wouldn’t refute the cancellation on my American Express card....next thing I know, these liars refuted and were paid $300.00 for a $175.00 service call. Thank goodness for iphone transcriptions because I printed out both messages! I called the financial manager back, the one who left the second message,and they refused to return my call...thank goodness for Sears appliance repair, What was wrong with my LG product was what Duke told me couldn’t be wrong....it’s now working with thanks to A &E, who does Sears Repair’s. By the way, if you have a LG appliance, I called them and was told that Advantage Appliance was not certified to do the repair...another lie! AND BY THE WAY, I WOULD NEVER ACCEPT A DISCOUNT ON MY NEXT REPAIR FOR GIVING YOU 5 STARS....SO UNETHICAL!
