I was chewed out by the pharmacist because I was not aware of the new waiting line location. The old line was directly down the aisle in front of the counter. The new waiting one is along the front of the pharmacy. We were ordered to stand on a blue dot.I have been to this pharmacy for many years. Now I get chewed out for not seeing blue dots on the floor around the end of the aisle and out of sight of the previous waiting line. And you wonder why people are upset.A day or so later Rite Aid responded and asked me contact them. I tried on Monday at 12:45 PST and the answering message on the phone said they are closed. The online chat line did not respond. Melt Down at Rite Aid?2 OctI need a Covid booster shot. I went to Rite Aid. The website said no appointments are available in all of TriCities. It further said walkins are welcome. No one is being innoculated at this location. The nurse is absent. The pharmacist explained this to me. She was very pleasant. She invited me to return on Monday and is confident I can be innoculated. She explained that the website arranges appointments for the next three days only and all appointments are taken. That is why I could not get an appointment anywhere in the TriCities. Hundreds of people have been receiving shots recently. The pharmacist could not have been more helpful and pleasant.. I attempted to contact Rite Aid customer service to compliment her. Once again the Rite Aid customer service option on the phone is unavailable......
I have used this pharmacy several times and never not had some kind of issue. This time, I had an infection and my doctor prescribed an antibiotic at 3pm on a Friday. I went to rite aid at 9:30PM that night to pick up the medication (the pharmacy hours stated they were open until 10pm), however the pharmacy was closed, which the store clerk stated was because the pharmacist called in sick. The next morning on Saturday I arrived to pick up my antibiotic, the pharmacist tech stated this medication would not be available until after 4pm SUNDAY. This would be an entire 48 hours after receiving the prescription. The pharmacist tech did not care as to what kind of medication i needed. I asked to have the med sent to another pharmacy, as I did not want my infection to get even worse. The tech seemed almost joyful, as I was getting another thing off their plate. Just shows how disorganized and understaffed this place is. I will not be returning.
I see similar experiences in the other reviews here. Please explain the point of calling in a prescription if I am going to have to wait 30 mins every time. I pick it up after work, all I want is to go home.. other times I cant even get ut until the next day! Why? I have never experienced this with ANY other pharmacy. So glad Ill be moving soon.....
Was with in my time to pick up medication and I have the text for it that states it and they told me I was late the put it back on the shelf and we snotty about and said come back later you were late. it must have been the pharmacist. She said she had other customers. Real poor attitude from staff. Dont know how to treat customers even when its there fault no apologies just rude. Dont recommend this place to anyone. Looking for a new pharmacy.
Horrible wait times. Waited in the drive through on several different occasions for 30-40 minutes. Even when making a phone call to rite aid my wait time has been 20+ minutes.
I wish I had read reviews of this joke pharmacy before I scheduled my husband and our sons to get the vaccine here. Huge mistake on my part. HORRIBLE organization, dreadful customer service, and astronomical wait times even with a scheduled appointment time! Their company policy is to automatically schedule your 2nd shot once you get your first dose with them. Well, sometimes they do that and sometimes they forget. So when you show up 4 weeks later for your follow-up appt that you were promised, they tell you with the worst attitude ever that they forgot to finish processing your first appt and now you dont have a 2nd appt and they will not take walk-ins! Even though youre not a walk-in! So now we get to find a different pharmacy for shot #2. Shut this place down. I wouldnt trust any medication fills at this sketchy place.
DONT GO THERE FOR COVID TESTING! We waited there for over an hour in the drive through & finally left with no test. They made up their usual excuses: short staff, new people so unprofessional.
I have been going to this pharmacy for over 12 years. It was really bad the they got a new manager i believe her name was Betsy. She was great. Then the past year they have made changes again and it back to being horrible. They dont keep the policy the same they continue to make changes that effect people fill dates. I plan life unfortunately around when I get my medication refilled. I finally had enough and moved allmy medicine to another place
Poor service. Failed to fill prescriptions in timely manner on multiple occasions. No follow up courtesy phone call given.
Drive thru service was very slow and VERY RUDE:(
Thank you Ashton, for being super helpful and understanding!
Called in my refill at 8am thru the automated system. Was told it would be ready by 12:45pm. Im here at 5pm and am told that they didnt have time to get it filled. And would not be able to fill it until 7pm. That the automated system doesnt know how busy they are. What kind of customer service is that and why have an automated system if its not making things more convenient for customers? At least have the decency to contact your customers if you cannot provide a service as promised. Time to find a new pharmacy I guess. When you choose to be in the business of helping people and providing customer service you should have certain standards to maintain relationships. Not impressed with how you run your business.
The pharmacy is great at helping work with me when doctors prescribe medications that my insurance doesnt cover. They hold onto medication for a long time, so if I forget for a while about a medication I dont have to start the refill process over. The staff have always been patient and kind to me. Its the best pharmacy experience Ive had so far.
Ive been through the drive thru at many different pharmacies and the only difference I found at this one is the impatience of the customers behind me.
Worst place your doctor sends the prescription at 9am 4pm your pills are not ready . And they have an attitude like if the service is free
They won’t have your refills ready even if the pharmacist specifically tells you they will be.
14 hours to get a prescription filled, when I was told it would take 30 minutes. Always excuses when they just cant seem to do the primary function of their business. Baffling
The pharmacist I dealt with on Sunday was the rudest person I have ever met. I was an inconvenience and he wouldn’t help at all. If you can’t take care of you patients, get a new career.
The pharmacy staff most especially Ashton, Rachel and another gal(I couldnt remember her name on top of my head) are always friendly, efficient and professional. I know its a fast paced environment but theyre always on top of their game, and would apologize should there be any delay on refilling rxs.
The pharmacy does not read notes. They keep giving my husband and son the wrong brand of medication for asthma that does not work! It has happened more than 5 times. Most of the time we catch it and reject it. Then have to make an extra trip. Sadly other times my husband and son dont have proper medication because they wont do anything about it. Do not get your meds here if you are worried about dying if you dont have the proper meds on hand!
I went to buy over the counter product. The price online was half the price for the item in store. The manager did not price match and on top of that she was rude about it. Ill never shop there again.
Worst pharmacy Ive ever been to! The staff is always rude. Theyve always worked AGAINST me, not with me. Stay far away from this place!UPDATE: I called to file a complaint against this Rite Aid. I spoke with Elizabeth. She told me I could call 1-800-Rite Aid and refused to give me any more information. She told me I had no reason to file a complaint.I finally got fed up & let her know that this pharmacy was the worst Ive ever been to. I guess that set her off because she told me then maybe you shouldnt get your prescriptions filled here and hung up on me. Dont waste your time here. Drive a few more miles up the road & go to a pharmacy that actually cares.
For the pharmacy I’ve never waited less than 20 minutes. Indoors or drive through. Even if I’m the only car. Take your business elsewhere.
So its incredibly overpriced - its a Rite Aid, dude. Overpriced is practically their calling card. Its like complaining that a KFC smells like chicken. If you care about price more than convenience or youre buying a lot of stuff, Winco is like ten minutes away. But theyre impeccably well stocked with the absolute basics and Ive never been unable to find anything there (besides obvious specialty goods). Not sure why people are complaining about staffing - Ive always found them well staffed. And occasionally youll find a crazy deal that makes you feel good about your decision to go to the place close by instead of driving into Richland again.
Never using this place for a pharmacy again. My girlfriend and I have been trying to pick up an inhaler for a week. They have forgotten to fill the prescription 3 times now. Only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the store itself is fine. Pharmacy gets 0 stars.
Associate Sarah has the best customer service, she helped me in a timely manner and was very polite and understanding despite how frusterated I was prior to coming into the store. She turned my mood around and got me back on the road in no time. Thank you Sarah.
The worst customer service I have ever had at a pharmacy. First they had the insurance wrong even though the physicians office had forwarded the correct insurance. So could not wait 30 minutes to an hour for relabeling to reflect the correct insurance. Had to come back to pickup later. My wife stopped by to pick up and when she arrived home there was only one of the two prescriptions included, although no mention of any issue at Rite Aid. Called Rite Aid, they did not have the medicine needed and ordered it without any communication. I was leaving on a trip the following morning so had to call another location, then wait 3 hours for the prescription to be filled, finally ready after midnight. The prescription that was filled, I was charged the copay amount for my insurance $15 which EXCEEDED THE RETAIL COST (RETAIL COST AT RITE AID WAS $11.35). SO RITE AID BILLED MY INSURANCE AND CHARGED ME $15 FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY SELL FOR $11.35. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!! This same prescription was $2.85 from another pharmacy.I WOULD AVOID RITE AID, MY FAMILY WILL NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH RITE AID AGAIN!!!
This pharmacy has the worst service, the rudest staff. Their policy is that if you come through the drive through, you must wait 4-5 hours to pick up your prescriptions. If you are willing to park, come through the store, and wait inside, they will supposedly fill an order in 30 minutes. Im guessing that this isnt medical policy, but hoping people will buy gum while they wait. Not only is this not ADA compliant to make handicapped people wait longer because they cannot come in and spend money shopping, its just infuriating. Weve had them tell us multiple times we must return the next day, only to tell us the next day they are out of the medication. Why not let us know that before we drive all the way back? Why not tell us that initially? We looked into changing our medical insurance just to get back to Walgreens. The Rite Aid on Lee is much better staffed and more consistent with what we expect from a pharmacy.
I have been going to this Rite Aid for years. The last few years they have change staff. I am in there a few times a month. The people who are in the pharmacy are AMAZING. They are always so caring and helpful. It means a lot to me, having medical problems is already difficult, its nice to have such caring people filling my medication.I have gone to other Rite Aid, especially the one on Lee in Richland because this Rite Aid was out of my medication. The pharmacist at the Lee location is horrible. She refused to fill my medication, she rude, uncaring. Words cant express the way I was treated at the Lee location.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rite Aid on StepToe. I am thankful for everything they do to my it easy for me to get my medication ❤️
I just experienced the rudest customer service, this older employee named joan threw the receipt, ID and debit card at my mom. i don’t want to make it a race thing, but my mother and i were speaking in our language and she kept making stank faces. also, i said hi to her at the beginning since it’s a nice and good manners to do so, and she just looked at me and looked down all mad. After we finished with our whole purchase thing, her face went from mad to happy and kind in a matter of seconds and said “hi! how are you doing todaaaay?” to the white gentleman in the back. race thing or not, she was rude and liked to throw things at us. If i could give you a zero Joan, i would. karmas real sis.
Clean, enjoy the rewards card savings on daily used items.
You go to Dr. and get electronic refill or filled at 3 pm. By 9:00 pm you go to drive thru and still not done. Pharmacy need to hire more people if 200 in queue not finish.
Better for my medication than Walgreens is, though others I know have had the opposite experience.
I have always had great helpful service and fast too when I take my prescriptions here
I have used this pharmacy for several years now, even before it moved to Gage and Steptoe. The Pharmacists and techs are out standing, not just because of the wonderful and timely processing of perscriptions, but by their kindness and compassion. When my husband was battling cancer they moved quickly to make sure he always had him medications. We always felt like we were important. They are all patient when I have questions and they take extra care by providing you with information not just on a new drug but how is will possibly react with others I am already taking. They are a great team and I am part of it when it comes to my medications. Thank You Rite Aid Team! Youre awsome!
I have been using this rite aid for a year now. I am shocked to hear all the bad reviews. Stephanie the pharmacist is always going the extra mile for her customers. In more than one occasion my Doctor has made a mistake on my medication. The first thing Stephanie does is personally call me and the Dr. to verify and correct the mistake. The reason there is a long wait is because lots of people like going to this rite aid. You cannot make every body happy, so do not be discouraged by a few bad reviews. I wish there was more Pharmacist like Stephanie.
Very disappointed with them! Asked to transfer my prescriptions from another pharmacy, provided all the relevant insurance plans, etc., and checked a day after the date they were supposed to have them ready, and low and behold, problems with the transfer, which hadnt been addressed! I was assured that they would get started immediately, and later in the day, got messages that 3cofthem were filled. I stopped by, and got another hard luck story about how they couldnt fill all of them, but then she runs off the three she had done, and they werent even my prescriptions, they were for my wife! So another day wasted! Particularly disappointing after giving them all my info, and they bungled it so bad! Only changed from my old pharmacy as my insurance will not longer work with previous pharmacy! I have a feeling that I may change again soon, if service doesnt improve dramatically! Seems service isnt their forte! And while the technicians seem to be attentive, they are rather all 20somethings that know nothing, but tell you they know it all! That being the case, why do they turnover so quickly?NOTE: Ive since transferred to Walgreens, and what a difference! They have competent technicians, where Rite Aid seems to change techs weekly, and Walgreens can handle insurances without screwing everything up! Only change in my rating would be to give Rite Aid a ZERO, but this service wont allow that!
Will never use this pharmacy again, they are so lazy and forgetful, I will forever be using shopko now, I was there turning in my prescription and they told me it was a 45 min wait so I told them Ill come back. Then they told me it would be ready at 5. How does a 45 min wait turn into a 3 hour wait? When there was no one there even waiting for a prescription.
For many years Rite Aid has been the best pharmacy in town. Friendly staff and quick service. We had tried Walgrens but every single time we tried Walgrens it took hours, the prescription and insurance information was wrong and the staff was rude and very slow. In the months since Walgrens bought out Rite Aid, they have ruined the store. Rite Aid would fill a prescription in ten minutes. If something was not ready they would rush and get it done immediately. It is sad that there are no good pharmacies left in town. I really miss the Rite Aid of old.
Drive through is slow and takes hours to full prescription. They lose prescriptions to where they have to fax a request from doctor office to fill RX, I had to call rite aid 3x to ask if they faxed the request.
Most of the the people who work there are nice. However, several people there are about as rude as can be. I had to stop going here as a result.
I went in on 1/5/16 to pick up 2 rxs. Most of the time I get pharmacy technician Maritza, who is always courteous and pleasant. I was advised that I have (an astronomical) copay. I informed her that I have a secondary insurance but dont have it with me at the moment. She understood then I left. Given the cold freezing temperature,I decided to call and provided the insurance info over the phone and the other nice technician I spoke to suggested both rxs are ready for pick up. Ive also received text reminder minutes later. Then my second visit was a disaster. I was tended in the drive through by technician Chasity or Chastity, she advised me that both rxs are being worked on. I nicely informed her the above info but she was looking at me like I dont know what I was talking about, and wasnt even allowing me to explain even more in greater detail. But instead, trying to argue and kept uttering this is after the fact-which no makes sense. I was already livid at that point because she kept on insisting it is being worked on, without explaining what is being worked on. Using logic in any scenario, the words worked on could be i.e.. pills needed to be recounted, labels were wrong, needed pre auth etc...Then as a customer, (or even someone with a mere primary education) couldve understdwhat she was trying to convey. Its not like I dont speak or understand the English language not to be able to comprehend! Luckily, the pleasant pharmacist Bob intervened and explained what actually was going on, in which one rx needed pre auth. It was as simple as that! She didnt even apologize for the miscommunication but stood on the corner with a smug look and uttering words under her breath.Lastly, Ive always had a great experience with the pharmacy staff except for this particular technician Chasity/ Chastity. Everytime I get her, shes always been condescending and has this Miss know it allattitude, and Ive noticed the same interaction with other customers. How much more if she were a pharmacist ? Then she couldve sabotaged my rxs order. I was about to sweep this experience under the rug but I was on my wits end with her rudeness, ineptitude, and lacking knowledge of the term customer service!
Second time I have a terrible experience here. Today takes the cake. Dropped off my rx at 10:00 am. Was told come back at 2...ok fine. Came back at 2 during my lunch break... they said come back in 30 minutes. I told them Id have to come after work. Ive now sat in the drive-thru for five minutes watching them run around and give me the index finger to wait.. danika was very nice and grabbed my prescriptions rather quickly once she was able to get to me. But they looked rather frazzled and frustrated. As did the line inside. They need help.
WORST SERVICE EVER! I had surgery and the doctor sent my medication to this pharmacy and I will never use it again. I was told all I needed to bring was the physical paper with the prescription, as it is a pain medication. I received two txts saying it was ready to be picked up. I went and not only was it not ready they didnt have the information they needed which was apparently an DEA#, I am not a pharmacist and do not know what this number is or what it is used for. They said they would call to get it, it has been almost two weeks now. I tried calling the number they gave me to try to get the DEA#, but the people on the other line wont give me the DEA# because I am not a pharmacist. They representative I spoke to said that I should not have been asked to call to get the info as the pharmacist knows I would not be able to get the information I needed. #Stillwithoutmymeds
If you want to wait days to get your prescription this is the pharmacy for you! What pharmacy tells you ypu have to sit in store for 45 minutes to get a prescription and if you leave it will be ready tomorrow afternoon?? Worst customer service and the pharmacy staff is terrible and unfriendly.
Great friendly staff, no matter what time of day it is
I went there and a employee was so rude despite the fact that I didnt show any aggravation in return.
SLOOOWWWWWW SUPER SLOW
Pharmacy staff are rude. The RX bottle shows the qty of pills inside but thats not the actual qty they gave you. They short you on your meds. If you must uses this pharmacy, Count your pills BEFORE you pay!!!
Needed help and the guy at the counter had other things he needed to do not at all happy with the Steptoe St, rite aid. Had problem with the pharmacy before.
Great service
Favorite store
Friendly staff and was very prompt!
