This place really is the best they give away fr lol popcorn (well pre Covid they did at least) but I’m sure they will continue to after it’s over so because of this we call it the “popcorn hardware store” so yeah definitely shop here 100% 5 star review worthy

Great place for what ever you need. I love this store and everyone there.

I called the store inquiring about an item, they said they had it in stock and that they will hold it for me at the counter. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone and told him that I would be getting there 5 minutes before they close, the gentleman said that’s not a problem we will be here and we will let you in to get those items you want. I arrive three minutes before they close, the doors locked, another customer pulled in knocked on the glass, a business employee open the doors, spoke with the customer and allowed that customer to purchase an item. So I then went to the door and explained to the business employee that I spoke to somebody and they will have the items and that I could purchase them. The other gentleman there said that no I’m sorry we’re closed and the cash registers are locked.I’m just appointed that they did not stand truthful to what they said earlier on the phone. I have purchased from this company many times, and unfortunately due to this event I do not wish to shop here anymore.

Always friendly, always helpful. My 2 year-old granddaughter calls it The Popcorn Store and needs to stop there a couple times a month to get a bag for her and her papa. I used to go to Farmers Hardware as an afterthought when I couldnt find something at a big box store, but 9 times out of 10 they have some random piece of plumbing or a drill bit or twine or just the right dust pan to make a 2 year old happy... so now I head there first, before taking the journey to the big box for a handful of black 1 1/2 screws. Prices always competitive.

They may not have everything you need but its close. Very friendly staff and you can get what you want quickly. You dont have to walk 3 miles to get a few nails like you do at the big box stores.

Best hardware store in Kernersville

Not very handicapped friendly. Twice recently, I have visited the store, once in my wheelchair and once on my walker. Both times, as I struggled with the door, employees stood nearby discussing politics or world issues and made no effort to assist me at the door. They were, however happy to take my money as I left the store. Other hardware stores in the Kernersville area have made efforts to ease entry, and even bring items to me in the car making my shopping easier.

At Farmers Hardware you can always expect to have personable service from knowledgeable staff. We needed a space heater for our studio and had them explained. After making a selection, the sales guy gathered all of the necessay fittings and hoses needed to install it when we took it home. Might not have all of the products of a big box store, but they deliver service a big box will never match.
