Staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. Office was organized and efficient. Exam didn’t take too long, as Dr.Gilbert was efficient and to the point, which I appreciated. Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

This was my first visit with Dr. Gilbert. I had to change insurances and my regular optometrist was not on there, but Dr. Gilbert was.His staff were all kind and wonderful as was he. All of them including Dr. Gilbert did a great job with all of my tests, explaining everything to me and giving me the results.They were fabulous at helping me keep my fairly new frames and allowing me to put the new lenses in. They did a battery of tests and set me up for another test because I do have cancer and they need to check certain things with my eyes.I’m very glad at how thorough they were and you can tell that they truly do care about you as the patient and about your eye health.

I have been a patient of Dr Heath Gilbert for many years and have always been treated with a combination of friendliness and professionalism from him as well as his staff. I trust his expertise with my eyes as well as my kids and now their kids. I have readily recommended him and Dayton Optometric over the years to friends and people I worked with.

I absolutely love Dr. Marc Gilbert, as he is so very friendly and caring. He always listens to my concerns and addresses them to fit my needs. My prescription is always right on. All his employees in his office are so very sweet, helpful, and go out of their way to adhere to my needs. I have been with Dr. Marc for years and years, and I am as satisfied today, as I was the first time I stepped into his Kettering office.

Marc Gilbert is the best optometrist I have ever seen. He explained everything very well. Did not rush me when I made him go back and forth to check which one was better I always feel rushed with other doctors but he was very patient. His office staff was very helpful picking out glasses. And I knew ahead of time that I was going to be dilated so I picked out glasses before my exam. Overall a wonderful experience

I have seen both Dr Marc & Dr Heath for quite awhile now - both were extremely friendly & explained everything. All my questions were answered as well. Just took my 8 year old for his very 1st eye appointment & Dr Heath was amazing with him. He provided me with all kinds of information regarding my son’s eyesight. He also explained a lot to him in a way he understood. Their office staff is awesome as well. The woman who helped him with glasses was very patient with him while he made his decision. She also gave me info about prices & the insurance I have. I appreciate that they have frame in office that I can purchase which saves me a trip. There’s not a ton of options but I’m happy with the selection. I would highly recommend this office.

Today was my first eye exam here at DOC. I have purchased glasses here before but never an eye exam. Dr. Rudolph made me feel comfortable as well as the front office staff. Kelly took really good care of me and solicited the rest of the staff in helping me pick glasses. My only complaint was I had to wait about a 25 minutes to be seen. Thanks for the stellar service ladies!

Great doctor and tge best support staff

The entire staff at Dayton Optometric was super helpful and patient. They were working with my 89 year old mother, who has significant dementia, and they provided all the support and guidance she needed through the exam and picking out a new set of glasses. Thanks for a great experience.

It had been an embarrassingly long time since I had last been to an optometrist office due to a costly and not so pleasant experience at a different office I had last gone to, but the experience at DOC was the complete opposite. Every single employee went out of their way to help me from scheduling, to insurance, picking out frames, and the eye exam itself. I feel very happy that I can now feel more comfortable and confident with my eye care from now on with DOC.

Dayton Optometric Center in Kettering, Ohio is outstanding . The staff here is explemary and metitorious in their service to the patient . Having one eyes examined is something I dont look forward to ! Dr. Heath Gilbert and his staff, highlighted by a young lady named Jess, took exceptional care of me today. I accidentally sat on my sunglasses and completely bent the frame. Jess did a fantastic job of taking care of me quickly and with a great attitude. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and his Staff for all your eyecare needs. I have actually been going to their practice since 1975.

The ladies here are always so helpful! Even going out of their way to leave my contacts at Shell for me so I dont have to be without all weekend!

Guess I should have read the reviews. I am also unhappy with the secretary. She put me on hold for 20 mins just to hang up on me and of course when I called back they were closed. If she didnt want to do her job why didnt she just tell me to call back the next business day. I am a new patient and definitely will not be settling for this place.

Lady from the front office chatted with co-workers constantly, leaving people on the phone to wait. One girl argued with a client when he told her the glasses for his daughter were not the right color. She seemed very put off. Not sure what happened after, just overheard the man tell his daughter Dont worry, Ill buy you another pair somewhere else. The doctors are wonderful, but some of the staff needs to be a bit more professional.

They put me on hold repeatedly for an extended amount of time and will not return messages left. I have never had a place of buisness have such bad office staff. Do not reccomend.

This place and its staff were amazing. They got my son in immediately and he was a new patient. Even with their computer system down that didnt stop them. Definitely a long-time eye doctor for our family. Two thumbs up.

I was optimistic initially because of the rating and location of this office. However, immediately upon entering, a member of the staff made a witty remark regarding my attire rather than welcoming me. I am a young adult perfectly capable of making and attending an appointment alone, yet the staff spoke to me in a manner that was assuming and frankly, condescending. The optometrist seemed careless and rather displeased with my presence for whatever reason. I could only revisit as a last resort.

Definitely need to get a new scheduler. Just called today. She didnt know if they took my insurance put me on hold then comes back and says they cant schedule a appointment because I canceled on from years ago. Its probably for the best my glasses were awful when I went there anyways.
