Lori, is one of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever met. The service was excellent and the food was very yummy. My roommate and I had time to have breakfast before going to the beach and we found this place. It was a great day to start the day! Lori deserves everything. She puts so much love into the food! Sat for nearly 30 min and went in to get our order taken and they were super annoyed with us for even being there… they got our drink orders wrong and acted like it was our fault. We had a feeling the food wouldn’t be good as service was terrible… saw 3 tables having the same experience and they up and left so we did too… it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be back. We really wanted to have a nice little local diner now that we live on the key but there are many better places - skip this one and visit one of the many others instead!!!

A true locals spot. This random little gem can be found tuck away in the back of a shopping center on Key Biscayne. We came across it totally by accident. Its small and tightly packed inside, but the staff are warm, friendly, and the food is classic down home goodness. Its also probably one of the cheapest meals youll find in all of Miami, let alone Key Biscayne. Well definitely be coming back anytime we happen to be in the area.

I really wanted to like this place because it came highly recommended from a friend. My kids and I came here today for breakfast before the beach. The portions are a little small but the food is good. The Nutella pancakes my kids got were soooo delicious. The egg white omelette was also very delicious but very small. The reason I put 2 stars though is because while the food was good, the experience was not. We were seated outside and the waitress never came out to ask if we needed anything. I had to go inside to remind them to even take my order! Then I had to get up and go inside because they made my omelette wrong (our waitress never came to check on us and a different person dropped off the food). And finally a gentleman came and got my our plates and we sat at an empty table for about 15 minutes just waiting for the waitress to come bring our check. I eventually had to get up AGAIN just go to inside and ask for my check so I could finally leave. So the gist of this review is - Good food. Small portions. Terrible service.

Overrated and disappointing. Service was good, though feel when there are upcharges the job of the staff is to tell the costumer. Caution with what you order as one of the upcharges was related to them having to make something fresh instead of what was found out is typically pre-made. Ive never been to a diner that didnt make the food fresh. Food was underwhelming. Definitely will look for other options.

This place has been around forever. The melts and breakfasts are as good as always. One of the very very few true diners left in Miami.

Restaurant is super cramped. No space to socially distance. We entered and were ignored 4 different times. The utensils were dirty and the server told us they were not dirty as he scrapped off the crud from the utensils. We sat and waited for a menu for close to 10 minutes while the table next to use kept getting service. Do not bother going to this place unless you want to get covid and no service.

I went early morning on a weekday thinking that it would be a wait. I sat at the bar and my order was in front of me in 2 minutes. The woman working there travels from HOMESTEAD! Great place to eat. Don’t be afraid! Enjoy!
Ive worked at this restaurant for a while and if ur not struggling on price, great place to eat for breakfast or lunch. This restaurant has what I would call a original American breakfast feel, pancakes, French toast, and fresh squeezed orange juice.

The best diner on the island, family owned and run, open til 2pm for lunch and breakfast. They cook it in front of you, Waffle House - style. We went here twice on our vacation and the owners gave us a hug upon leaving. Very sweet people who go to the extra mile for their regulars - they obviously appreciate tips!!! Delicious food !!!
Has character
Saw the reviews and decided this would be a great place for lunch after the beach. Got steak and eggs with grilled onions which was fantastic and also got a custom made egg sandwich (wasnt on the menu but they agreed to make it for me). The food was good and so was the service. I liked that since they are family operated and small, they will take special orders and fulfill them. Was also impressed they had an acai bowl, which my vegan friend enjoyed. Overall a great diner!!

Absolutely amazing experience. No frills basic breakfast, but it’s probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection. The place was absolutely spotless including the bathroom. The staff was incredibly nice. I highly recommend.

It’s over priced for no reason. It’s literally just regular diner food. I’ll give it to them, the pancakes are HUGE. But that’s about the only thing that’s worth it’s price. And not accepting card?! Come one now, it’s 2020. I took out cash and she failed to tell me it was over 20$ so I had to take out more money.
Service is excellent, I just wish that they can do a few minor upgrades to the restaurant. Start off with cleaning the restaurant and at least remodeling the seating areas, the diner can feel a little dirty at times but it still feels like a very professional establishment. Along with having top-notch service, the restaurant has some of the best food and best selections to choose from, And the cooks are able to make minor changes if needed. Overall, the Donut Gallery Diner is a great place to eat.

This is a very small dinner which basically has counter sitting. It is a cash only place with an atm mach inside. The place is clean and everything is cooked fast in front of you. The food itself was ok. I ordered the Spanish omelette, which was and American style omelette with tomatoes and ham inside. It was watery. The bacon, coffee and pancakes were good. Everything was overpriced. Breakfast for 4 was close the 70 dollars. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This place has been around for a long time. There is a good reason for that. The food was amazing! There wasnt a long wait for it either. The place is a little small but I loved that homey feel. The fresh squeezed oj complimented my meal well. Try this place out you will not be disappointed!

It has more than 40 years in Key Biscayne. Over here, you’ll probably eat what could have cooked at home,but you were so lazy you didn’t. Basically, they serve simple food like: eggs, bagels, hamburgers and salads. The quality is good,but not exceptional; the interesting part is its ambience which makes you feel like you are living in the past. By the way, something very curious, is the fact that they dont sell “donuts”.

I havent seen this place since 1978. It was as if I stepped back in time! Nothing has changed except the folks behind the counter. Oh, and the prices! We had three egg sandwiches and three coffees to go and it cost us $27.65!!!! But it is as everything else on the Key has become. Ridiculously expensive. Other than that, the staff was friendly and food was good.
Great affordable breakfast diner next to Crandon Park in Key Biscayne. Small but turnover is quick! Full breakfast selection but the Ted’s Special is the best.

If youre in need of a simple, traditional American breakfast, this is the place. Its also probably the first place of this type where Ive seen reasonable portion sizes as well, you can get out of here feeling full and not leaving food on your plate. Its probably the cheapest place on the Key as well. The only significant shortcoming I can think of, preventing a five star review, is that its cash only.
Cant go wrong here, if you need a good breakfast in a nice environment, this is the place to go.

Very friendly folks at Donut Gallery, a locally owned diner that serves what is likely one of the very few breakfasts in Miami for under $10. I try to return on a regular basis. Cash only, because the hard-working owners know that keeping the thieving bank out of our exchanges with each other is one of the most effective ways to keep their prices down while maintaining solvency. They have been there for decades, so they must be doing something right!

I picked up a breakfast to go and noticed that the container was very light. I opened it at home and it turned out they robbed me blind. There is an egg, a time strip of bacon and a small pancake. Not thank you, never coming back again!!
I ordered their $9.50 special: eggs, toast, hash browns with orange juice (extra) and corned beef hash (extra). I got suspicious when the heavily tattooed Spanish waitress gave me a greasy - no kidding - check with illegible writing on it. I tried asking her about it and was shooed to the front cashier; an old man with a heavy Spanish accent who histrionicly exclaimed he could neither speak Spanish or English. I was courteous and never raised my voice yet the whole clientele in this greasy spoon espied this ongoing ripoff. Long story short, to avoid what was adding up to a full scale riot I paid the $24.75 dollar price for the mediocre breakfast. Maybe they didnt like my go Texans t-shirt.

My family and I decided to go to donut gallery for breakfast this morning. As we were sitting down at the counter my two small children complained that they were cold. I asked the gentleman at the counter if we could have the last table outside.From across the counter, the crass rude waitress, who had been yelling at the kitchen staff since we walked in, didn’t even look us in the eyes and yelled at the top of her lungs that we couldn’t sit outside because it was too hot for her! Shocked I asked if this was supposed to be comfortable for her or for her customers. She didn’t like my question and continued to yell at us in front of our kids.Breakfast, lunch or dinner this behavior is disgusting and unacceptable. Especially for a Key Biscayne institution.Shame on you Donut Gallery.
I just keep coming to breakfasts here over weekend and will continue to enjoy it

Expect to pay a pricey 68 $ for 4 people Breakfast (NO DENNYS PRICES HERE BEWARE)There is not much restaurant choices around the area for breakfast neither . The food was ok no fancy cooking or flavors but at least they had corn beef hash and fresh orange juice in this retro style diner that reminds me of one of those Seinfeld Dinners Episodes. Also get ready for a boisterous waitress lady that runs for your order and serves efficiently (quite a character)Some people may like her some other may not at least I laugh and enjoy the experience .
Cute historic diner tucked in the corner of a small plaza. Good food, friendly service and watching the orange juice machine squeezing out the fresh juice was entertaining.
The one word that comes to mind... incompetent. Waited an hour for our breakfast once we sat down. People that came after us were served before. Our two meals were brought out 8 minutes apart. And lets not leave out the woman SCREAMING at the top of her lungs.Thought i might have to pay a cover charge. Never again. EVER!!!

OK, Im not one to write reviews because Im simply not one to complain, but this time I had to! Ive been to this little restaurant probably about 4 times and it has always been a good experience, but this last time, Im not sure what happened. Maybe they changed managers? who knows! but I hope they read this: My boyfriend ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage platter with hash browns and 1. it was extremely small portion for $14.95 (doesnt include coffee), 2. the sausage was too greasy he couldnt eat it, and 3. the hash browns were stale . I ordered an egg sandwich which was good, but their american coffee was pure water, no taste at all, and the cream was spoiled (server noticed and brought me a new one) still I didnt drink it so we ordered two small orange juices instead. When the check arrived the total was $42!!!! yes!!! thats right (not including tip and the $3 charge from the ATM because until this day and age they dont accept C.C.), I dont recall this place to be this expensive, but I thought it was ridiculous for such small plates and drinks (the small orange juices were tiny!). Service was ok.... but I really hope they change back to how they were :(

This is a good place for breakfast. It is a small restaurant and is only open for breakfast and lunch, but many locals love to eat there.
I have a home that is walking distance so when I was in town I would always try and have breakfast there at least once. Well recently I went and was the only one there with my fiancé when the 2 regular ladies that work there were making us food. One of them drops the top of my bun on the floor and the other one stands in front of her to block her from picking it up from the floor and actually puts it right on top of my sandwich!!!!!! I was shocked that they would do that to a customer in a basically empty restaurant all to save maybe .50!!! It was so gross and if thats what they do in front of you imagine what happens behind your back. Needless to say I will never go back there.

Worst breakfast ever. Asked for egg white omelette. Did not get it. Sausage burnt beyond recognition. Hash browns were packaged and tasted like they were fried in oil that they have been using for years.
Just ok. I know its Key Biscane and things can be pricey. I got your standard 2 eggs toast and sausage. Sausage was a patty as was the home fries, not very good. With tip, it was $15. Ill look for for a other place next time.
