I don’t typically write Google reviews unless am disappointed or super impressed. The case with Miami Kiteboarding wing foiling class is being super impressed. The instructor, Carolina, was absolutely amazing in explaining the basics of foiling, how to stand on the board, balancing, movements, etc. and within 45 minutes I was basically cruising on foil. Carolina was able to break it down to me so that I was able to correct my form and control the lift...the initial sensation can be overwhelming and you need someone to help you. If you’re looking to get into wing foiling, I absolutely recommend taking the foiling class first, this would make things a lot easier when you’re on your own with wing in hand. Thank you Carolina and team!

Trainers are rude. They have no beach etiquette. Store is highway robbery. Everything is twice more expensive than their competitors.

Not worth the money to pay yearly dues. It is extremely crowded and very little place to put your kite. It is a zoo to say the least.

Staff was attentive and fast. We rented beach chairs and umbrellas for our beach day. It was a reasonable price in my opinion. It is a very calm area and there are lifeguards on duty. I would recommend.

This place is amazing!! If you are new or wanting to learn this is the pace for you. They have a sandbar right off their beach so you can stand. This is a big deal to have. The waves are also naturally broken by the reefs so it is not as much big waves to deal with.If your new, they have Jetski’s that help get you rescued and bring you back out again. Or they are right there with you. It’s amazing advantage to have this.They also have helmet with radios so they can speak and you speak back to them. Also a major advantage for new or advance people that need tips.Their equipment is brand new and that’s a relief to be on the latest gear and fully functional.Their instructors are all so patient and kind. Very encouraging and so helpful. I watched them coach kids, old adults, women and everyone else. This place is a jewel.I had difficulties setting up but it’s best done texting their number. They are so busy often so calling doesn’t work. Then you prepay online. I did the 9 hr semi-private package which is working out so well.On day one, 2 hr lesson, low wind, Philip got me to get up on board both sides and even stay up for a little.Just finished day 2, 2 hr and moderate wind, Jillian got me to understand the kite better and finally clicked to stay up much longer. I’m exhausted but it’s been so much fun I can’t wait to go back.Alex is owner and he’s very professional, very laid back place with great vibes. I bought booties for $49. They have Kiteboard glasses that are amazing, $49 also. You gotta have these two to make it more comfortable. Oh, because you wear a helmet, I wore a baseball hat under it and it kept a lot of sun out of my face. All the instructors have hats on!

Do not pay Miami Kiteboarding in advance for a lesson!! Look for other similar posts here. I paid over $500 in advance for a 2 hour lesson for 2 people to be the next day. They canceled the lesson, after I ubered all the way there, due to lack of wind. So, they didnt even have the professionalism to call ahead and notify me so I wouldnt have to make the trip for absolutely nothing!They said I can reschedule for any other day and it would be a free cancelation if there wasnt any wind. Which I did.After booking for another day and checking the wind (which there wasnt any) I tried to contact them through calling and texting but they didnt reply until hours later telling me that they were going to charge me either way!They were extremely rude, spoke very broken English and were completely unprofessional, shifting the phone from one employee to another trying to get away with their little scam!I will definitely be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and will be contacting my bank to get my money back!

Membership to kite with your own equipment what a BS like they own the beach I think kiters should get together and demand explanation from the park authority. Dont go there with your own gear unless u want to pay $200 membership even if its for a day

Seems like a great spot for Kiting. But if you come here be prepared to pay $$$ to kite, EVEN WITH YOUR OWN GEAR. Although this is a state park, we were told by the guys in the shop that there is a County day pass fee of $40 to kite here... Which is collected by the shop of course. They had zero documentation of said fee and we could find nothing online. They referred us to their own website which does state something about a $10 fee.Seems like quite a racket to me. What a sham!

Miami Kiteboardingbis the best place to learn how to kite in Miami. The natural environment is hands down the best, with plenty of space to go downwind and shallows to stand (booties are a must when learning though). The staff and instructors are amazing. And when you get a little more advanced the sand bar/reef offshore provides nice little waves to play in. Can’t recommend it enough.

Have traveled to many places to take kite-surfing lessons but Miami Kiteboarding is the most friendly and professional place you could find. They do care about safety of students and provide nice gear and are ready to accommodate every special need one may have....again amazing staff and the owner- Kristopher is the nicest guy you could meet.

Do not pay Miami Kiteboarding in advance for a lesson!! Look for other similar posts here. I paid over $250 in advance for a lesson to be the next day. They canceled the lesson due to lack of wind. I contacted them by phone and email trying to get my money refunded, and it took over a month for them to refund back to my credit card. Finally I got my money but never again...... They may have great instructors (who are not at fault here) but just never pay them in advance!

Loved the park, upset about the fact that you need to pay every time you kite and that you can’t use the area on the weekends unless you are a yearly paid member (which I’m not cos I’m not from the area).Beside that had a really good time.Staff was great and the kiteboarding test wasn’t a big deal (although again, more money to spend to just get on the water, Miami rules, to many people gives an opportunity to charge on every little thing).

Great location and friendly staff (Franco & Iris). Some of the instructors are really good (Kevin & Quentin) but others have very little or no experience at all, as instructors. So they will make you waste your time and money. I missed my first 4 hours of practice with Federico by using the wrong equipment or by trying to launch the kite with no wind. Besides, when there was wind, he spent great part of the lesson sailing and jumping with the board and I was supposed to learn by watching him. And when it was my turn, instead of watching me and correcting my mistakes, he was watching other riders. I felt really frustrated after taking lessons with this guy. Fortunately, then I took lessons with Kevin, I realized of the bad quality of the previous lessons, and improved a lot. Thus, I strongly recommend taking lessons with Kevin or any other experienced instructor. Do not miss your time with inexperienced instructors...

The BEST place to kite in MiamiA wild beach with dunes, palm trees and a large Sand bar. There are deep areas and shallow areas too and a little reef that produce small waves. So I can run, jump or surf

The organisation was perfect, everything was planned two weeks before our arrival and went according the plan. There was no wind one day, but they organized a lesson with boat and some hours were rescheduled. We got all equipment we needed and was in good shape. The instructors and all staff is very friendly and helpful. There was only one thing we didnt like much, we had 5 days of lessons, but we had 3 different instructors, we would have preferred having only one, but I guess everybody prefers something else. We really like Rauls way of teaching. I recommend this school, the place is beautiful and ideal for learning.

Excellent experience overall. The entire team is very professional. The system they use is great as it allows you to go through the different learning stages as quickly as possible. Being such a challenging sport in the beginning umthis is crucial to avoid frustration.Franco has always been helpful and is very focus on making sure you are making the right progress. They are also very honest when there is not going to be wind for you to avoid spending time in the water without progress.I took classes with Lionel and Kevin, both are highly recommended.

School instructors are focused, looking after everyones safety, willing to collaborate with our end to end experience at the beach, showing the limits to those that go beyond them, and at the same time leaving us to enjoy the beach with freedom, thats very important. I started out with these people to learn kite surfing. They charge a lot of money and the instruction is not as good as it could be. I found several local independent instructors that are much better and far less expensive and close to my home so I dont spent so much travail time.

Poor experience - instructors are more interested in their own life/rides than teaching you. I had an instructor tell his girlfriend in French that my lesson would not be the full 2 hours I had paid for (he didnt realize I spoke French). I had to complain to management.

I sm still learning. But love the environment and process here! Well run school!

Miami KiteboardingMiami Kiteboarding is a top notch organization at a fantastic location. I took my first lesson with Christophe 12 years ago. Over the years I have returned many times to improve my skills or just to ride. They run a super safe set up. They have beach Marshalls to help you launch and land and keep things safe. The shallow sandbar for teaching is ideal. As you progress they can follow you on a jet ski. That is how I began my foilboarding learning. When you want to play in the waves just go out a little further. I love it there. If you are just passing through you can rent equipment. It will be the right size for whatever the conditions are.George

Great place to learn to kitesurf! I took the 15 hour package with Philippe (Amazing instructor) and was riding on the board by the end of it (I was a complete beginner). I was certified a few hours later...also ended up buying all my gear from them. Crandon park is an awesome place for beginners as the sandbar stretches far out, which makes it easier to learn in shallow waters. The school has a private area with jet ski supervision, so youre in safe hands. By all means, Im not a pro, but Im now at a level to go kiteboard on my own.Some other great instructors that I had a chance to take a few lessons with : Fernando and Raul both rock as well!Thanks Franco and Christoph. Glad I took a chance on Miami Kiteboarding!

I spend a few days riding there, the beach was so nice, the flat water that you can find going behind that sand bank up north is a unreal, just awesome. The staff crew very helpfull And nice people, they help you in anything that you need. Also I got there my iko cats that allow me to ride in many places in my trip

I had heard about Miami Kiteboarding and went down not knowing what to expect. I had been kiting for years but lost my IKO card so went thru the lesson quickly and was gladly able to rent their great equipment and kite at Crandon. They were great to deal with and I still have my streamer! I will go back!

On going review at this point..... Ordered a Kite 13 days ago. After 5 days of no email / no tracking number I decided to email Miami Kiteboarding. I have emailed 4 days in a row with no response. I called after not receiving any response after 4 days. I was told the kite is ready to pick up. Problem is I live in Iowa and Miami Kiteboarding is in Florida. I dont think he understood how far away Iowa is. Now after the phone call the Miami Kiteboarding employee confirmed that the Kite would be taken to FEDEX and sent to me. Still no tracking number, 2 days later, and they have not responded to my last email request for a tracking #. This is unbelievably bad !!!!!! Will keep my review up to date until I receive my kite which has all ready been paid for....Or I call my Credit Card Company and request a refund !!!!! Now the update is it will be shipped Monday......2 weeks after I ordered it......Newest Update the Kite has finally been taken to USP and have a tracking #. This has been the worse experience I have ever had buying something in stock ready to ship !!!!!

Christoph is the biggest supporter of the Kitesurfing community in Miami. Together with his team he is always ready to help from beginners to pros, he organize clinics, gear tests, races, etc. and he looks after our beautiful Crandon beach spot. The sport needs more people like him.

Just went to beach. It was wonderful.

All around great experience. I went initially to try their kiteboarding lessons and wound up going over several months to become an independent kiteboarder. Now when I go, they keep an eye on me and offer suggestions on how to improve. Frank, Leo, Kylian, Raul, Soumia, Bjorn...I have learned something from each and every one.

Ideal summer camp for watersports. This summer camp is very well organized and run by professional.My kid was doing water activities all day long. From Kayaking, paddle board, boat water skiing and wake board. He also had an initiation in kitesurfing. He also made new friends. My son was very happy. He had so much of a great time during the first week that he asked me to register him the week after.Thank you guys to have made this experience for my son unforgettable. See you this year again per the request of my son.

Miami Kiteboarding is by far the best place in South Florida- you can get flat water, waves, they have jet skis patrolling the area in case you need help. You even have shallow water areas.

The hours of operation are based on how they feel for the day. Went on a Tuesday and they said they are closed at 5. Came earlier the next day and said they were closing at 4.

Absolutely a horrible experience. My husband bought & paid for an used kite that was on sale by Miami Kiteboarding. It has been 13 days and they still have not shipped the kite !!!! Horrible !!!! Update...my husband said the kite has finally been shipped to Iowa from FL

5 STARS. If you read the reviews with one star, you will see that there is no real fundament to these reviews. First of all, this is the most professional kite school in Florida. The rules and regulations are meant for people to be safe, whether you are 8 or 80 years old. This is no regular beach concession or tourist trap. This school and kite access spot is ORGANIZED. Staff are PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, and RESPONSIBLE. They have liability insurance and your safety is preserved with two full time beach marshals and two Jet Ski operators. The instructors are courteous and experienced. All instructors are IKO CERTIFIED AND ENDORSED. Safety is number one for the MKB team. 5 stars.

If you want to learn how to kite with great and knowledgeable people in a beautiful are, do not look further. This is the place.

Best beach kite spot in the Miami area. Has a shop, excellent school and designated kite launch zone. Unlike any other Kite school in South Florida that I am aware of, it has a jet ski supervision and rescue service, as well as a boat-borne waterstart simulator for boosting the learning process for beginners and those wanting to learn foilboarding. A great place to learn and for kiters of all levels.

MKB provides an amazing Kite experience. Wether you are a newby, or a seasoned veteran the location and friendly beach is a Kiter’s treat. I’ve had amazing rides off shore being followed by rays, jumping the breaks, and speeding up and down Crandon Park. They also provide amazing trips to the flats, great lessons. Just to have fun in this place, you have to pay a membership of 200$ .. Just to use the sea because I have my own equipment .. If they would charge for spending a day it would be ok but a membership for a year when actually you just come here to Miami for vacation!!!!!!
