We sure were glad to find John and Cole Dawson when our Honda outboard failed while were were on vacation in Key Largo. John was super helpful over the phone and made time in his busy schedule to come out and take a look to try to help keep our hopes alive for the trip. He gave great, honest advice and they seemed like all-around good guys.

I called to schedule an adjustment to my SeaStar steering system. The shop way too busy to get to me quickly but the owner took time to walk me through the process of making the adjustments myself.I was very impressed with his willingness to spend time on a problem that would bring in no revenue - very unusual in my experience. He will definitely have my business for any future work.

Had a failure of my Sea Star Hydraulic Steering System so I contacted Dawson Marine. They answered the phone and helped me to diagnose the probable failure, walked me through how to do the diagnostics myself and helped to to at least temporarily restore my steering right away. Im pretty sure I have a leaky seal in the RAM which I will definitely hire Dawson to service and do the repair. Awesome, Knowledgable and Professional all remaining very concerned about not running up your tab.

Excellent service. Called them on a Saturday when we got stranded in Key Largo due to a failed water pump, Cole showed up Monday morning, explain the work in detail and then came back Tuesday to install a new pump. I would highly recommend, this is a family owned business with a lot of values and integrity, they went out of their way to make sure we would be ok to return home to Tampa Bay.

John was really great. I called him at 5pm on a Monday and he showed up at my home next morning at 9:30 am as promised. He spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to help me fix my lewmar windlass. It was my first time ever speaking with him. He showed up and fixed the problem in the time frame promised. His labor price is not cheap but he does what he says and was very knowledgable. He was straightforward and practical. I would definitely higher him again and I really appreciate working with a vendor that is reliable and know what he is doing. I would strongly recommend contacting Dawson Marine for any of your boat issues. Our boat engine died mid vacation and my husband went into immediate boating FOMO mode. He made an early am call to John, explained our situation, and Cole was at our marina by early afternoon. He immediately saw the problem and resolved it all while giving us much needed ‘boat engine education’. Not only were both John & Cole incredibly knowledgeable but they took the time to answer our questions & were beyond patient and insightful. I would have thought our bill would be a bit up there with the quick response and amazing service but they are beyond fair and reasonable.

I met John at a boating store, and he helped me pick out a new GPS, he was more help than the sales people. Then I called him 2 months later to install it for me and he was out the next day. He calls back ASAP and is very knowledgeable with electronics. I learned that he works on many other items when it comes to boats. Came out to my place within a few hours of my call. Diagnosed a trim problem very quickly. Had the parts ordered right away. Job was done quickly and properly. I have now used them for fixing a power pole and installing trim tabs. All three jobs have been done promptly, properly and they are very affordable. I also appreciate the good communication. I didnt have to guess when things were going to get fixed.

Jet ski stopped running, I called Dawson and they told me to bring it over as soon as I could, or they could come get it .Once there they went through the entire electrical system, fixed all my issues and communicated everything along the way with me ! Im a certified marine technician on my way to key west from south South Carolina in my personal boat and had a major problem with my generator. Not having all the tooling I needed I was able to work closely with Dawson marine to get it repaired and can say these guys are definitely very skilled and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond working after hours to get me back up and running. There prices are quite reasonable considering what other marine service dealers ( several of which actually refused to help me) are charging in the area. You guys where awesome and I cant thank you enough! I would highly recommend them to anyone! And as a technician myself that really is saying something.
