Best stocked train store Ive seen in a long time.
Love going up there to see all the trains! Great customer service!Just wish they had Z-scale, the scale I model in.
Very disappointing!,The prices are very inflated. The young staff member wasn’t too friendly or engaging.I didn’t even get my foot in the door before being told to put on a mask!.The store has lots of inventory but leaves a bad impression!
Ive heard its the largest train store west of the Mississippi and I believe it!
I have been buying O gauge model trains from this store for 20 years. They are a class act when it comes to customer service. Do not hesitate to spend your money with them. If something goes wrong, they will do their best to remedy the situation......Thanks Eastside Trains!
Nice place to shop.
Gotta check it out if you are into models. Very helpful staff.
Always more selection than I can imagine. All the employees are very knowledgeable and passionate about trains!
I dont know much about model trains, but this seems like a great store with extensive selection on anything you might need for the hobby.
It is one of my favorite places to be in Eastside Seattle. I have brought so many things there. I can be in that place all day.😃👍
I have been there countless times over the years and the staff know me very well. Very nice little spot. Theyve been there for over 35 years. Great place to go!
Very good customer service!!
If you have an old train, or want a new one, this is your place. Great selection, and the prices seemed very reasonable. I picked up a reconditioned transformer for much less than a new one costs on Am@z0n, and about the same as an eB@y purchase, but with fewer headaches, and supporting local business. They have a pretty great train table set up. The kids loved looking at it. Sadly, it wasnt running. But it was close to closing, so we didnt ask if they would run it for us. They have some really great condition post-war sets for great prices. If I was in the market, I think Id get one of these rather than a new set.The short of it: this is a great train shop. Check it out.
Horrible service. Bought the train track changer tool and it was already broken in half when we got home. Very business minded and all they care is to make quick $$$$.
Full list price and limited selection to recent releases of engines and cars. Scenery supplies were oddly restricted to a poor offering compared to other railroad hobby shops in the area. Repair services offered, which is rare these days and a welcome offering.
Great selection of all scales especially G and O scale trains. Knowledgeable staff. Nice layouts for the kids to get inspired by. Repair shop too. A must visit for any model railroader.
These guys are the best. The people that work there are professionals and very good at their jobs. The repair guys are top notch and the sales staff is very knowledgeable.
This is the only stop for N scale and G scale model trains in Seattle metro area. Very helpful staff. Best source for DCC.
The folks here know a ton about all types of model trains, and can certainly get you into model railroading. You pay for that knowledge in their prices, which would fine if they had any interest at all in helping when things dont work for you. I tried to return an unopened box of HO track (a little over $100), to buy $500 of N scale trains, and the manager wouldnt return it because it had been marked down. I understand not doing straight returns on marked down items, but since I was buying so much, I figured it was a pretty reasonable request. Ive been fortunate with most of my purchases, but if its going to a pain to make a return, I might as well get the lower prices of other shops.
Huge selection but Christ almighty are their prices high! Take MSRP/retail then add a minimum of $25 to that AND THEN add tax. Super tight as well - no room for dealin. To each their own but Im surprised they sell anything... and their website is out of date (items shown in stock when in reality theyre not).
Great selection service department is awesome!!!!! Prices are retail....
Very knowledgeable staff. The prices are comparable to those online, and you get the experience of seeing the product first, maybe asking some questions. Most of the people in there know what they are doing, and like to talk about it. When I needed help I just went to the front and patiently waited to talk to someone.
One of the better hobby shops in the country. The staff are REALLY friendly and helpful. They not only offer great service and help with buying choices, they can help repair your trans and models too. This is a store worth visiting if you are in the area. I model HO and found the range quite good (locomotive range excellent, but rolling stock range a bit limited). The O scale and G scale inventory is the most impressive Ive seen anywhere. This is a family-owned hobby shop that deserves a visit if you are in the area. I dont think you will be disappointed.
Steve and his staff are a throwback to retail years gone by: skilled, knowledgeable and focused on their customers. The store is well stocked and their repair services can solve most issues. They are a credit to the hobby and we are lucky to have them in our area.
Great small business and good selection. The staff have always been extremely helpful.
Just went and bought some train sets for our little one. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. As soon as I bought them and got them home, my wife found that it costs less online in Amazon. But I have decided to not return the toys (which they agreed to with no penalty as we didnt open the boxes yet). You wont get the service when you buy this online.
Nice to have a brick and mortar train store. Wish they had Z scale
John is very knowledgeable and helpful!
The best train store in town. Go talk to John, hell help you out with whatever you need.
G.O.N. THIS PLACE engages the child with in!Vast resource of train knowledge, its fun to go to a store where people obviously love coming to work. If youre serious about your trains better bring your wallet . If you love G scale ask for Matt Anderson but Im sure hes knowledgeable about everything in the store. the trains that role in my dreams roll on the pressure of steam
My six year old son loves coming here for the biggest selection of HO scale diorama items!
Awesome store for train loving kids and adults. Great selection from wooden Thomas and Friends trains on up to G gauge trains. Two huge train displays that will keep a train obsessed toddler entertained for quite awhile if you can convince one of the friendly staff to fire it up.
Great place for model trains. Very knowledgeable and my kids love going there to look at all the trains
These guys are very knowledgeable and have a great selection of trains, tracks parts and more.
Friendliest staff great stock. It was a pleasure going to this store
We were visiting from Canada and had to stopIn. The excellent customer service as well as product advice was unparalleled! When we come back we will absolutely shop there again.
Great place with tons of model trains. Kids love it too.
My favorite place to go this is my happy place!!! Freindly staff always and all around fun!!! whats not to like about this place!!!
Amazing. One of the only train stores left. I hope its here forever! Friendly staff.
Great rail shop, especially for Lionel and Garden Scale. However, lacking in a selection of HO. Wonderful service, willing to answer any questions you might have.
I was surprised and giddy to see dozens of train nerds inside! Huge selection, delightful staff, lots of stuff on sale.
Steve and Dustin are great to deal with and good guys. Theres a massive selection of old gauge trains and accessories and lots of knowledge.
Amazing place. Lots of selection and the employees were incredibly helpful with advice on my project as well as showing me all the fascinating things they sell
Huge selection of trains and accessories. Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Tons of free parking, too.
Very great customer service. Lots of products to choose between.
Great store! Folks are friendly and knowledgeable.
Nice train shop, I sent some of my n scale trains there for repairing and upgrading.
A friend of mine brought his NEW locomotive back in April. The side rod fell off within a foot of it moving. He still has not got the locomotive back. In my opinion this is totally unacceptable! This locomotive should have been replaced!
Good service. Excellent technical support on decoders.
Biggest train store I have ever been to. The selection is huge. Way more than I expected.
All is Ok . But the wagons choice was limited. Any way deserve 5 stars.
If you are into model trains. Then this is where you want to go. They have every type of scale train, different displays to look at while you shop.
Love this place, and so will you if you love model trains :)
This is 2nd version of this amazing store, my kids grew up with it in kirkland since 1990s. Huge selection of every scale used to have Z, N, HO, Lionel and MTH they have running lionel and ho/N layout and some used things, best train store Ive ever seen vs. Minneapolis or SF bay area or boston.
Wish they had more variety of n scale Accessories, but very nice retail shop overall
These guys are great lots of all kinds of trains
Great, friendly service! I wish they had Z scale trains tho
Knowledgeable. Friendly. Good inventory.
Fabulous store for train hobbyists, good selection of parts
A must stop for any toy train collector or enthusiast.
Great resource - know their products.
Great place lots of trains and track
One of the few train stores still left in the Puget Sound area.
Not good for kids. Bad service and attitude.
Best train store on the eastside
The old dude that hates children wasnt there so I can now review this positively
Excellent service..
Been going here since I was a kid.
Wide variety of scale trains available. Friendly staff.
Excellent selection of multiple scales
