Brett talked me through my quote and was incredibly kind and helpful for the (many) times I called him with questions and was completely understanding when I had to take my car to the dealership to get some work done under my warranty instead. These are my people. I have been taking my Mini here for years. Last week I had to drive over in an almost flat tire and they helped me investigate right way. Got me situated with a way home, called to give me an estimate on when my tire would be in, and told me not to worry.Best case situation with a nail in the tire sidewall!

Outstanding! Found my new local repair shop. Since we moved to the area 2 years ago we have bounced around between chain and dealer locations. Autoworks is just awesome though. Replaced four tires, the rear brakes, and a few other minor things for less than the estimate I got elsewhere with higher quality tires, outstanding service, and a loaner!

I visited this repair shop one afternoon spoke with “Brett” had a conversation about my car. Check engine light on however car runs ok.I was told to drop the car off the morning and they would contact me about their findings.At just after lunch I was called and the problem described to me. I authorized repairs. I was called again at 3.45 advising the car was fixed and ready for pickupThe impressive thing to me was that Brett pulled out a I pad and showed me what the problem was. I have never had that type of transparency before. And the check engine light is off the car runs great.I will end with this visit was the 3rd repair shop I had visited First one said “it’s a Mercedes too complicated for us”. 2nd one said “they were very busy and could take my car in 17 days”So to summarize very good customer service, good results and transparent.

I recently had a front brake job done on my car at a business in Portsmouth and felt that something was not quite right. I brought my car to Kittery Auto Works for a AAA trip check and mentioned my concern about the new brakes. I received a call that my front brakes were installed incorrectly - Kittery Auto works quickly fixed them and made a new grateful customer. My son had recommended Kittery Auto Works as an honest auto repair shop that wouldnt take advantage of a customer. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I will bring any auto concerns to Kittery Auto Works.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation and didnt mention the leak on the front axel. I was told by another place the leak was due to the fact they over filled the fluid and it would stop. At that point I new it was time to find a shop who was professional. Well, long story short this crew found the leak called me to let me know what they found and a quote for repair. Gave them the ok and had my Jeep back before the day was out for a fair price. Best part? No leak! They have earned my business and I will recommend them to anyone who asks me! Very professional and customer service oriented.

Tried to sell me work that I did not need done, and wanted to over charge for other work. I’m ok with 120/hr but it doesn’t take 3 hours to do two brakes.

While on our way to Lubec we stopped for a break at the first rest area in Maine just past the New Hampshire line. My car would not start or stay running. After calling AAA the tow operator arrived. He suggested Autoworks as he knew of their reputation as doing quality work on foreign and domestic vehicles. Turns out he was right! One of their employees (Gary) used his personal vehicle to drop me off at Enterprise for our rental car. Brett and his staff did a great job in diagnosing and repairing my car. While we continued to Lubec in a rental car, I received a call the next day stating my car was ready. Very professional and accommodating. Starter went out on my 2015 Tahoe. It’s our only vehicle. I called AutoWorks and they hooked me up with a Loaner: Honda Odyssey for free (other than a fuel up). I was in and out in 15 minutes with the Loaner! They fixed our ride for a fair service price, with a warranty and plenty of communication. Thank you SO MUCH! You saved us from certain Dealership Doom.

Stay away. Dishonest, lack integrity!They failed my car said it needed brakes wanted to charge me over $500 for just the rear brakes. Took it to another shop and passed with flying colors.

They were great and quick. They were even able to sneak me in for an oil change on short notice. They also have a good routine for pandemic safety.

I was 200 miles from home when my car broke down on the side of the road. AAA towed my car to them being that they were the closest and AAA certified. Having just moved into the area from KY, both our cars needed inspection stickers. Autoworks was the ONLY place that gave us a time to bring in the first car, texted us when that one was ready then dropped off the second car. Both cars were done the same day with no inconvenience at all. All the other shops were trying to have us drop each car off for the whole day, really?, for a 15 minute job?You rock Autoworks!!

May I just say, BEST experience with a mechanic in my life!!! I was driving up to Maine from RI, and in Saugas, MA, about an hour away, my water pump broke!!! After figuring out a way to get it to Autoworks, I was hoping for the best...I was alone, on an alone mini trip, and Im worried sick..... Stephen contacted me in the morning, MULTIPLE times, and when he found out my situation, he did all he could, which included finding me a loaner car so I would not be stuck all alone with no transportation.... he made sure my vehicle was fixed quickly, to get me back on the road and enjoy myself.... constant communication, and he even made me maps of the area of where to eat, visit, etc.. And even after I picked up my vehicle, he texted me later in the day to make sure I was okay due to being anxious and alone, and made sure I was calm and the car was running good.... The work (car inspection) was completed quickly and everyone was very pleasant. I witnessed one of people from Autoworks on the phone working on a customers behalf over an insurance claim which impressed me as well. A few days after the service I received communication checking on my satisfaction with the experience -- Autoworks genuinely strives to create a business founded on excellence, transparency and trust.

My wife and I were in Maine on vacation and developed an issue with our Subaru. Autoworks were able to work us into their schedule and fix the issue promptly and at a fair price. Additionally they provided us with a loaner to drive around in so that we didnt have to waste time in the waiting room. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Autoworks Transmission. I was promised and received AAA discount. These are honorable people who really care and will work with you.I have an old truck which the differential seized at 75 MPH on I 95. The driveline twisted and plenty of associated damages. I’m retired and can’t afford a new truck.I spoke with Paul and he found used parts for a fair price, plus I needed an exhaust system replaced, complete brakes replace/repair. Plus a safety sticker and oil & filter change. The entire experience from the start has been “outstanding”. The price was no issue with that kind of service. The price was more than fair.

Took my car there for a clutch job, I was given a price over the phone for the job, a range from $900 to $1300, once they had my car they wanted to charge me $1900 and they said it could be another $600 if the flywheel needed to be replaced. So I called around and got prices from other places the dealer only wanted $1800! Any way we negotiated a price that was still higher than first quoted, and I agreed to let them do the work. Upon competing the work I brought the car home, and soon after noticed that the car would make an odd clunking sound when I started it. I brought the car back for them to check it out and they informed me that the flywheel was bad. They basically told me it wouldnt hurt anything but Id have to live with the clunking unless I wanted to go through the whole process again and replace the flywheel. The service manager had the nerve to tell me that he had recommended that I replace the flywheel in the first place! He never did, he only said that they would turn it if they could or it would have to be replaced. Id never go back there again. Based on my research they should have been able to tell if the flywheel was bad before having it turned. For my experience I found them super expensive, and not very honest.Now my 2008 535xi, sounds like a piece of junk every time I start it, and Ill have to pay someone else to fix what should have been fixed the first time. Oh and by the way, you can buy the flywheel on Rock auto for $400, so that is a pretty big mark up on parts...

I am happy that I have a go-to independent shop that is in walking distance to my work. Always a pleasure to chat with Paul. They gladly help me with small or difficult projects I opt not to do myself. I trust them with my Z4 and F150, and that is hard to find in one shop esp. in the area. I have an older BMW X3 that I still love and had a major electrical problem that Jeremy and his team fixed for about 1/3 of what I was expecting. The service on the car and the customer care is the best I have ever had as a foreign car owner (and we are talking 30 years). A lifetime customer for sure!!

Needed to get in for an inspection quickly - they were great about getting me in as soon as possible. I needed a few minor part replacements to pass inspection, like burned out bulbs and a windshield wiper. They did the work quickly (I needed the car back ASAP) and at a fair price. Super friendly, polite, and gracious when I was 15min late to my appointment.

So incredibly helpful! We broke down on 95 on our family vacation and were towed to autoworks. They were so friendly and quickly got us all figured out so that we could continue our vacation. They have a nice area for kids to keep occupied, and gave us a free loaner van until my car is fixed! I was so stressed out from breaking down in a new town with 3 little kids but Autoworks made the whole experience so smooth and positive. Best auto repair experience I’ve had yet, wish my town had a mechanic like this one!!

Auto Works is the best. I do much of my own maintenance but when I ran into trouble after breaking off a bolt they got me right in. Their mechanic was highly skilled and I was amazed how easy he made a task look that I was struggling with for hours. Since then, Ive gladly given my business to AutoWorks since they do such high quality work at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff. They make it so easy and I can drop off and walk to the shipyard. I recommend all of my friends to AutoWorks.

Fantastic experience at Autoworks today. Efficient and clearly customer-service oriented. At least 4 different staff went out of their way to help me out: fitting me into their busy schedule, toys and entertainment (chickens! apple juice!) for my kids while we waited, notifying me about needing an inspection, prompt communication by text about a problem, and fixing the problem in a very customer-matters-most kind of way. Short version. Very professional, very understanding, excellent quality work, professional courtesy. Highly recommended.VERY Long version: My car is a 2007 Subaru WRX wagon. It is the first and only car I ever bought new and, up until this point, it had been dealer repaired at the same location and same mechanic. Its the best car Ive ever had. Her name is The Pearl.So, when the check engine light came on, I took it in and imagine my horror when I found out there were fuel system parts needed that were no longer manufactured by Subaru and these parts were not available from any factory Subaru repair shop after a nationwide search was done. I even got Subaru Parts of America involved to no avail.I brought her to Auto Works and explained my tale of woe. They immediately got me into a sporty little Mini Cooper loaner and scheduled a visit in the shop to see what they could do. I emphasized that I wanted to try and keep it running with factory original replacements as long as possible so she remained pristine. I was so upset when they called me back and told me this was going to be a project for them and I could expect up to two months waiting while trying to find the parts. They did offer to let me keep the loaner though so I knew they werent just trying to get this difficult customer out of their shop.It was here that their complete professionalism and the power of face to face communication comes in. I wanted factory original parts until alternatives needed to be used. But if they had to fashion or build a solution to keep me running I was OK with that. However, that little piece of my conversation I failed to emphasize. I went in very frustrated about this and asked why they cant fashion replacement parts to make the gas go from the tank to the engine. The very understanding guy at the desk said, We can. We could do that and have it for you in less than a week. I was taken aback and he explained that they understood I wanted factory only original parts no matter what. The fact that they thought that, and didnt shove me out the door amazed me. They were even going to let me drive that loaner while we waited for a part to suddenly appear using their resources.So, I authorized the repair. I needed an inspection so they got my headlights squared away and replaced a bad ball joint and did an alignment as well. They stayed in communication with me the entire time and I spoke with several people there. I could tell they took a sincere interest in getting my car running right again. Ive had it one day shy of a week now on 11/24/2019. It drives great, straight as an arrow, I can see much further at night, and shes back in action.I could not be happier. I have found a fantastic repair place post dealership and I know they will treat my car very well. When I picked it up, one of the employees talked to me briefly about the time he owned a WRX as well. These are car guys who are passionate about what they do and sincerely care that they do a good service for their clients. Thank you, Auto Works. Thank you for dealing with my frustration in stride and remaining professional, courteous, and most importantly, doing a great job on my car.

Great guys, but as previously stated pretty much same price as dealer. Once into the job tried to charge extra labour time($160. or 5%) because they had a hard time removing a particular piece. In the end did not charge me, but did not get a AAA discount either ? Did not appreciate that part of the experience. However did appreciate free loaner for the 2daysJob; Clutch and flywheel BMW 325XI $3000 versus dealer quote of $3200

Being in the car business, it’s not often that I get to experience the service independent shops provide. My customer from GA arranged an independent inspection of one of our vehicles with Autoworks so I brought the car there this morning and was pleasantly surprised! Not only do they have comfy chairs so I could work while waiting on the car, but they also have a Keurig! I also learned that they offer their customers free loaner cars which is a huge bonus! After about an hour (exactly what was quoted!!), the car came out and I was back to work. Based on this experience and the conversation I had with one of their long time customers, I would definitely recommend them.

Quality service but very high prices. Good people, nice and get your in quickly and have loaner cars. They do know their stuff and fix it right. BUT you pay for it. Their prices are basically dealer prices + some.

My vehicle had some issues with the transfer case. Autoworks demonstrated professionalism and great service. The issue was solved in a short time. They even washed the car afterwards. Little things like that that dont need to be done go a long way. Jeremy was very helpful throughout the process. I will continue to use Autoworks for all vehicle maintenance.

My former mechanic failed to put differential fluid in our vehicle prior to our last road trip. We broke down on 95 and were towed to Autoworks. We were rushed in, diagnosed, given a loaner and sent on our way. We had never been here before. While we were coming back home they took it upon themselves to contact Subaru and find out that our repairs would be covered under warranty. The let us keep the loaner for $25 a day. We had it for a week.In a world of factory outlets, pump your own gas, etc., this was what great customer service is all about.Our only regret is that we live almost two hours awayThis entire experience was amazing

I would highly recommend AutoWorks to others - I went there for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection - but came away with much more than an inspected vehicle! The staff is professional, and the service is excellent. I have an older vehicle (a 2006 Honda Pilot w/ 120,000 miles) but want to keep it going for another 100,000 miles if I can! Autoworks is my garage of choice. They are a 10 out of 10.2 weeks ago my car was misfiring and needed plugs, wires, and a valve cover gasket. They gave me a loaner car while they fixed mine. There was some delays from their parts suppliers due to the heavy snow, but they let me know this was anticipated when dropping off my car. Having the loaner allowed me to get to and from work while my car was being fixed. They are not the cheapest garage around, but their work is the utmost quality and thorough. You get what you pay for, and I will be going back there. Thanks

I visited for the first time this week to get the seasonal tire switch from snows to summer for both my Prius C and Honda Fit. Jeremy was very friendly and arranged for a loaner car, a real help. Steve knew a lot about the old 2-cycle Saabs, which impressed me since I used to have one. Both answered my questions easily. The work was done quickly and I returned to pick up the cars with no disruptions for my day. Steve has a real drive for sustainability and we spent time talking about energy efficiency, solar and wind power, hybrid cars, etc. What impressed me the most was their friendly honest interest in what I needed; it was obvious they are accomplished car mechanics with the added benefit of strong interest in their local community. I will be back.

Jeremy and Tan and the whole staff were terrific to me. Felt like family in there. My car and I were treated like tip top tier, like kings for crying out loud. I will go back and tell all my work mates and friends when the subject comes up. If I hear, Oh, my car... this or that, I wont hesitate one second to tell them: Take your car to AutoWorks in Kittery ASAP.

As a newbie to the area and used to always working on my own vehicles, I was apprehensive about going to a new place to have work done. A long story short, Paul was very genuine, and kept me in the loop 100% along the way as my repairs to my Xterra were being done. Every communication was courteous and professional, I never felt that any of the repairs recommended were frivolous, I knew what it needed and what it didnt, and everything that was recommended was something that was needed and nothing more. My Xterra has seen a lot of off-road use, and it needed quite a bit to get her back to a daily-driver state that I felt comfortable hopping into and driving 500 miles. They made me feel like I was a person and cared about what was best for my vehicle, and not another paycheck. That says a lot. I had to catch a flight for work while they worked on my truck, and they even drove me to the bus station so I didnt have to Uber. And when I went to pick her up on the weekend (theyre closed on the weekend), they left the keys exactly where I asked, and they even had her washed! And not just a spray, it looked like there was some attention to it, because I havent seen her that shiny in a long time haha. That was a very nice touch.So I would say to you, if youre a DIYer, and need something done and you either dont have the time, or the tools, dont take my word for it. Just go there for something simple like an oil change or a tire rotation. The way they treat their customers will be more than enough encouragement to return. Before, I never would have let anyone else touch my truck besides me, but after my experience with them I wouldnt let anyone else touch my truck. I have another vehicle (my baby) I plan to have serviced with them, in fact, I just had new tires shipped to them for installation.

I trust Autoworks to do the right repairs, on time, and for a fair cost. Also the folks are VERY nice.

They Locked the keys in my car after fixing it and I had to wait around for my AAA to come unlock it so i could take it home. Waste of time. What a joke...

Between trips on my Incom T-65 X-wing starfighter, I enjoy driving my 2009 BMW Z4 sDrive35i. The spark plugs were due for replacement. This was my first time to Autoworks and I was pleased when I saw many other BMWs being serviced in-person. I was also intrigued with the Portsmouth C&J pick-up option because I often take the shuttle out of there on return trips to the spaceport. Jeremy was a great guy to talk to when I arrived and while waiting - you can definitely tell that these guys are BMW experts. This was a great first experience and I know Ill be a returning customer.
