Wonderful Gem of a bookstore, with kind and knowledgeable staff. The owner’s sister made the amazing 5 foot Christmas tree made of books. There are local authors who do book signings here, and they are very active in the community.

This is hands down my favorite book store of all time and I travel a lot and go to a LOT of bookstores. What makes this small business so great is the variety of different services and products it offers as well as the owner and management style. The store offers a credit system: turn in your old books for store credit and use it on used books. There is also always a selection of new books and activity books (guided journals, coloring books, etc), bookish goodies (such as apparel, keychains, bags, candles, etc). There are sitting areas and big store windows with cute in-store decor. There is a monthly book club and craft events/club as well! A dream for like-minded bookish people.

Always the best place in town to visit as far as I think. Wonderful selection and helpful and happy assistance when needed.

Our very favorite place to have a quiet mom/child date... my kids & I save this special place for when we need some quiet time together. Its ALWAYS a treat to visit & the treasures we find are endless! We could literally spend all day! We love to spend time whispering to the vintage books, relaxing on the reading couches, sipping a cup of coffee, exploring the world at our fingertips...as we dig through the shelves of adventures. We adore this shop, the owner is precious & has created a haven of sweet atmosphere here in this little corner of the world!

Not impressed, Religiously speaking as a minister, I thought I would continue my religious studies into the origins of the various beliefs in contemporary life styles of today. What I encountered at this store was an absolute disdain for anything other than Christianity related materials. The lack of diversity was even expressed by the employee as a Not at this store! type of reply, when asked. This may not be a good place to shop if you are interested in expanding your knowledge and understanding of other cultures. Their narrow mindedness tells me they only care about one point of view, Theirs

Cool employees who dont judge you for the weird books you want. I love this place and the fact they arent authoritarianins like the library folks is a major +++++++. Stay American!

The Basin Book Trader is an amazing bookstore and has been in Klamath since I was in grade school. I come here quite often and always find awesome used books I cant live without! Its a great store and I highly recommend it if you love to read!

A warm and wonderful store with a great selection. The staff were griendly and knowledgeable. I like the way they related to their regular customers it felt very personal and down home.

My family and I love coming here when we come to Klamath. We always managed to find the obscure book we have been looking for. Great service and soooooo many books!

I probably shouldnt share this info, as these amazing people will be bombarded, but they are always happy to check the shelves to see if they have a specific book Im looking for on the shelves. Friendly faces, great chatter (when you want it) otherwise they let you wander/pause/reflect as youd like. So glad we have an independent bookstore in the Basin, and they do a great job at making sure new releases, as well as the oldies/goodies are in stock.

I love this store. Great gifts, especially bookmarks (yes I am a bookmark junkie). I have multiple sclerosis, so it is a perfect distance to walk then relax in one of their comfortable chairs and read. When I finish one book, I am in the perfect place to get another. The people who there have been so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend for those book lovers such as myself.

What a find! Absolutely first class used (and new) book store that is worth a 4 mile drive off 97 for the bibliophile. Ive been a book seller/trader myself for 30 years and found some excellent titles for my personal library. Its the classic clean well lighted place. The staff, apparently sisters, offer good trade value and are highly knowledgeable and fair. Its a big place, well organized and their classics section rivals many SF Bay Area stores. Love books? You wont be disappointed.

Actually my first time there. Excellent customer service!! I was disappointed to find out they do not carry books by one of my favorite authors, Catherine Cookson, because she wrote her last novel in 1996, and they prefer to carry newer books.

This is place is like a hidden world. I spend hours in there without even realizing. There are so many little treasures to be found. The darling lady that runs the place is incredibly friendly, passionate and helpful. A must stop for book fans...

Kelly and the gang are ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! Mind blowing book selection and all great quality. If you love books and are an avid collector or looking for an obscure book from childhood memory, this is the place for you. If she doesnt have it already, shell get it for you! Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Staff is really nice. I like the trade in option to have store credit. I was sad the hear that mine expired. I had no idea that I had a time limit on it. They have a good selection. It can get pretty expensive though if you love books. The store is very clean and they offer drinks. They also have a great kids area with coloring, kids books, puzzles, etc.

Love the amount of books and people are very helpful in locating what you are looking for.

Bookworms this is your place. Basin Book Trader is a great place to go on a lazy day, and enjoy browsing a great and HUGE selection of books. If you are coming in from out of town you can find R.V. parking across the street. Stop in, they have something for everyone.

A local bookstore where you can get new and used books for discounted prices. You can also bring in your old books for store credit. Loved it and will be going back soon for sure!
