On a Wednesday morning I was changing a fuel filter on my duramax noticed a leak in the turbo up pipe I had bought from zz diesel i knew when I bought it that the quality was not outstanding but it did the job compared to spending some money on a pro fab kit .......point being I noticed the leak Wednesday morning I ordered another one of the same that morning it was shipped that day I got it 2 days later Friday morning got in my truck changed it out before it got dark and my truck was fixed outstanding service and shipping this was just the best experience I have had although I have also purchased quality parts from them in the past

I had never heard of this company. So I was leary about ordering from them. So I gave them a call to insure they had the parts I was interested in. Very nice folks to talk to over the phone. The had my order shipped the same day. Would do business with these guys again.

I received an empty box, so I didn’t accept the package. (Totally UPS’s fault) I paid for another order and Jacob helped me with the shipping and only had to pay $80 for 2-day delivery! After 3 months, UPS should give my money back after today. Thanks for all your help buddy

Purchased a product on the web. It was in stock. Paid for 3 day shipping since it was a Saturday figured I would receive it Wednesday. Took four days! Only a day more just keep in mind what shipping you pay for. I’ll just order from Thoroughbred Diesel on the next purchase.

Very friendly and helpful with purchase. so FIVE STAR getting you to purchase. Customer support or Technical service is the worst i have ever experienced. Very rude and snotty. They have NO instructions, for the EGR Duramax LML EGR delete . Had to go to Sinister Diesel site to DL instructions. WORST TECHNICAL SERVICE EVER!Update: On a second call about programming the customer support was excellent and very friendly and helpful. I will just take it as the guy on the first call was having a bad day. Overall experience was very good with the exception of the attitude of the very first call .

His customer service was great and answered 100s of question about aftermarket parts I wanted to buy. Not only did he save me money but he wasnt trying to push a certain product on me. Called zz on a friday and seemed like they wanted to help. They gave me a few suggestions to try. Called back monday and taking thier advice tried to order what i needed. They at that point pretty much insinuated that thos is not a job for me to do myself. When i told them that this is not an opt. ( to bring the truck to them) due to they are almost 200 miles from me, they took my list of parts i requested and still have not gotten back with me. Not good service in my opinion.

ZZ diesel are a bunch a rip offs they repackage Chinese made EGR cooler Deletes I ordered a LML EGR cooler delete And block off plate for uppipe does not fit had a major boost leak they sold me that EGR cooler Delete for $300 I can buy on eBay for $70 for the same kit they are a bunch of scam artists Buyer beware so disappointed

Awesome help from the saleman who honestly seemed to know what he was talking about ( unlike some salesman who just try to sell you stuff they have no knowledge about) even giving a heads up about a possibility of a problem with an electrical part. And once I had all the pieces installed, (finished late on a Friday night)my luck was the bad electronic piece. A call monday morning to tech support explaining my problem and they shipped out a replacement the same day. I received the part two days later and all is good! Ordered some parts from these folks. Ordered on a Friday they had my parts sent out that day, an got to my house by Tuesday. Super happy about that. Only reason for 4 stars an not five is I didnt get tracking info till monday, and Im a bit bummed I didnt get a sticker or something so I could represent them on my truck. My first order shipped in a timely manner... after some initial hiccups, caused by a 3rd party vendor. I did get an explanation as to why... and in the end, Jake took good care of me, and making it right. I have since placed a second order, and it is due to ship today. Less than 24hrs from the time I purchased it. 👍🏼

I took a truck to ZZ DIESEL in late December. The truck kept going into limp mode. First they had it for over two months. I was always the one calling to try and figure out what kind of progress they had made with the truck. I told them I did not want to spend that much money diagnosing the vehicle. Long story short they charged me $3,000 and I got the truck back with the same issue because they couldnt figure it out. I took the vehicle to Brad Howell Ford and they fixed it for $300. They do not know what they are doing. The owner said he would try to help me out on the bill. He marked up the programmer that you can buy online for $350 and charged me $750. Charged me like double the cost of batteries. And supposedly had over 18 hours of diagnostic time and couldnt figure out what Brad Howell found out in one hour. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Long story here but my recommendation is to avoid these guys, if they run into issues, they can’t solve then they tell you to live with it. I would recommend Motor OPS. I ordered an AFE cold air intake, EGR delete kit, exhaust system, and ECM/Trans tune from ZZ for my 2.8L Canyon. Problems started the day I received my order, only the AFE cold air had any instructions on what to do and how to make the swap. When I called and inquired about that I was told none were available. I was able to find a UTube video on the exhaust replacement from a competitor and I also found information on the EGR delete. I did the install no real issues thanks to google. Nick walked me through the flash, and on the test drive I notice almost a continuous smoke coming out of the exhaust and the speedo was off by 4 MPH. Nick recommended checking the mass flow sensor and cleaning and said they would send an update flash for the speedo. Cleaned the Mass flow sensor and that fixed the constant smoke, updated flash did not fix the speedo. Nick said would send another program to update the speedo. Also got a DIC message that the DEF was low which was deleted. Was told to unplug the DEF tank, again no guidance just a photo of the plug, google to the rescue again. Unplugged the DEF tank and appears to have solved that issue. Re-flashed ECM again for the speedo, still isn’t fixed, sent me a trans tune to fix the speedo issue and that didn’t work either. So still no speedo and they tell me I will have to live with it. Ok but now I have a DIC message, cleaning exhaust filter continue driving, which cant be cleared, drove 25 highway miles and still there. Now Nick won’t answer my text messages or my calls on this. Called the main office and talked to Jacob and he said I need to re-install the old exhaust, egr, and let the truck run a re-gen and that “SHOULD” fix the problem. We are talking about hours and hours of work to install the stuff I took off and then take it all off again and re-install the new stuff for “SHOULD fix the problem”. I found out what the issue is, that the re-gen cycle also has a mileage counter and re-gens no matter what after so many miles and they didn’t account for this in there program. Told them this and no response by email, called and they said that they gave me a solution and I don’t want to do it, well putting the old stuff back on isn’t a viable solution because as soon as the counter hits the mileage number again the message is coming back, you have to fix this issue in the program. Talked with Motor OPS and they are telling me that they have run into the DIC message before and that there tune accounts for this issue. Got the Motor Ops tune, and not only did it fix the DIC message they also correct the speedo that ZZ couldn’t figure out on the first try. Tried to call ZZ yesterday and they now have blocked me from there main number, when I call the main number it says it is disconnected. Worse people I have ever worked with. Buyer Beware!!

Jacob and his crew at zz diesel were fantastic ordered a custom aluminum coolant tank, came on time had some hardware change outs needed they overnighted me the parts. no limit fabrications made the tank polished the unit that looks great ! had a cap issue and they immediately sent me a corrected cap. Dont know who those other people who had complaints are talking about, Im pretty hard to satisfy and they took care of things very professionaly and i will do future business . Highly recommend these guys!!

He was very caring about making it right and apologetic for the misunderstanding. Hard to beat good customer service like that. As far as the product goes, looks very well built. Will update once I get it back in the truck and test it out.

Purchased a part for my truck from them. never even opened the box because I didnt need the part. returned the part to them per their instructions. they received the return on 11/17/18. the money was not refunded into my account until 12/03/18. over two weeks to receive my money. very disappointed in the return process but the part was a very reasonable price

Very disappointed. I decided to go with ZZ Diesel because they are a local company, same state as myself. My main work truck was down and I needed a part asap. I was told before I ordered the part online it would be 2-3 days for shipping. So here we are a week later and it just now shipped. I called the company and they said it was backordered. No one bothered to tell me this I had to call to get this information. I asked if they would do one day shipping and they said sure if you want to pay for it. I said no you should have to pay for shipping for not informing me it was backordered. I was then told they would see what they could do and would call me back. They never called once again I had to call them to see what was going on. I was then told no they would not next day ship it because it was to expensive. Absolutely terrible customer service. I could have ordered straight from the manufacturer saved $80 and had it in a week. I will never purchase from this company again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. I myself am a business owner and when I make a mistake I make it right with the customer. I was told by the owner it would take 2-3 days shipping NOT 5-8 days. I was never told I had to pay extra for 2-3 day shipping. To me thats being dishonest with the customer. Also if it was out of your hands you should call or even email your customer and let them know its backordered. Or on your website it should have stated it was BACKORDERED or OUT OF STOCK. That way a customer is not misled.

Bought a truck for my kid that seemed descent.turned out to be on its last leg.no fourth gear,turbo started rattling,bad blow by,then an injector stuck.zz gave me many options.I have an ATS tow haul complete motor with a five year warranty.I have a new built transmission a warranty as well.In the course they found other things that were shot or cobbed up.They fixed everything.now we are back to just oil changes and maintenance.my kid is very happy.truck has a tune and pulls like an airplane trying to take off.we took it to Florida for spring break.functions perfectly.traffic was crazy and fast.people driving like maniacs around Atlanta.nothing on the road had anything for that truck with my wife driving.I was in the back I would periodically check the gages.she ran it pretty hard.gauges were all perfect.mileage was pretty good as well.If you have the money they definitely have the expertise.
