Fabulous food. Picked up carry out last night. Food was piping hot even when I got home. Flavor was incredible. Portions were huge. Plenty for leftovers tonight. Egg rolls were crispy, hot and delicious. We are sorry we didn’t try this place sooner.

We havent had Chinese food in over a year. Hays City Chinese was absolutely wonderful. I had beef and broccoli. My husband had cashew chicken. The portions were very large. We will definitely be ordering again. Delicious!!

So Im new to the Kyle area, so I been try out the local shop. This donut place not good.The service was the worst. I know everyone look for help but at least the people their can smile, even a fake smile will work. I ask for half dozen and listing the donuts I want. The man ask mix, I say yes its going be mix but this want I want. He went off and grab the donuts he want sale. Which were all bad and hard to eat. I also got donut holes which was over cook.I normally give place a few shots I case the restaurant is having a bad day. Which we all have but this time Im not coming back.

I love coming here for breakfast! The prices are low and it is all homemade. Their biscuits are huge! I also adore the kolaches as well as the cake doughnuts and the buttermilk doughnuts.

Food is decent, pretty expensive. Not a very clean place and wait times are usually very long. Donuts here are phenomenal but the Chinese food is lackluster.

It took exactly 20 minutes to get my order to-go. I thought their fried rice had vegetables but no, only egg, black pepper and a bit of soy sauce. I ordered Chicken Garlic Sauce and all I had was a bunch of vegetables and barely 9 pieces of said chicken. Thought Id give them a try but not anymore.

Definitely the best place for Chinese food and the donuts are pretty damn tasty as well. Dont let the shabby appearance keep you away! The The Lo Mein is really good and the portion is huge...easily 3 servings. Next time you have a craving, this is the place to go to.

Best Chinese food in Kyle and huge portions when you take out. Very polite staff too. This place makes authentic chinese food that tastes good. We tried koy multiple times but were constantly disappointed with the messed up orders and no flavor in the food.then we found this place and havent gone anywhere else since.

This place is a little gem. They have always made the best food and it is something amazing. The kitchen manager is an amazing young man and he makes sure he delivers the best quality food ever. If you ever get the chance please give this place a try. Just let them know what you want and how you want it and they will deliver. The lo mein is phenomenal and the egg rolls are the best. Try it for yourself.

Best place to go for 🍩 s! They are really fantastic. Buy a bunch and heat them up for a few seconds before eating. Yummy! Wife loves the cinnamon roles and mother in law the apple fritters.

Small town family-owned and operated shop, they have been in business for years. Fantastic donuts!

I gave them 3 stars because although the food is great, it seems to be real difficult to get them on the phone to make an order. And because the current pandemic I cant exactly walk in to place an order. I once called them like 4 time in a day because I really had a craving but got dial tones or endless rinnging. I know everyone raves about them but my experience in getting the food in the first place hasnt been great.

My highest recommendation. Excellent chinese and donuts. If you live in Kyle, this is a must try. Eggsrolls are to die for. General Tsos chicken is so good I swear theres drugs in it. My recent fave is Teriyaki Chicken, choice cuts of meat and way more healthful if youre trying to avoid fried foods.

I just found this place recently and love it. My favorite, mongolian beef, is as good as anywhere and the portions are huge. Give them a try!

Very generous portions. Inexpensive. We had beef broccoli, moo goo gai pan and fried rice. Husband liked won ton. My hot and sour was different. All in all, worth the cost and ease of getting it. Was average. Would try again with different dishes to give it another chance.

The place has a health rating B sticker on the window. We did not realize it until we picked up our food yesterday, because of good google reviews. The fried rice was good, but the shanghai noodle was not. Its sauce has so many black speck which are not black pepper but rather looks like particle picked up from a burnt wok. We did not eat the whole meals and ended up researching the health rating instead. We have strong stomach, so today we did not have any stomach ache or etc. Will return once they have a better health grade in the future.

I like the donuts a lot; interesting selection! Drive thru is convenient for picking up donuts on the go. The Chinese food is average; simple but good quantity. Eggrolls were actually very delicious though!! Inside of the shop is tidy, but definitely well worn and showing signs of needing a deep cleaning. Service is consistently good.

PRO TIP: go early for hot-out-of-the-fryer freshness and a wider selection; go later and you may just get a little something extra! You wouldnt think it- but BOTH the Chinese food and donuts were super delicious. Had general tsos chicken & fried dumplings, then couldnt resist cake & glazed donuts for dessert/ snack! Food was fresh & very generous portions. They also slipped in an extra donut. Will def come back.

The food was great. We got donuts, kolaches and a burrito. Food never disappoints. Today we placed our order on the drive thru and it was a long wait. The wait was so long that the 2 cars that were behind us just left.

I called in to see if they had any apple fritters left at 12:00 and the sweet lady said yes, asked me if there was anything else I wanted & I told her no & that Id be there shortly.. I arrived & she had my bag of donuts ready for me, she was beings so kind & smiling the whole time! I paid & went out to my car & opened the bag to see that she gave me 4 little donut holes & a chocolate donut for free! SHE WAS SO CUTE LOL! I love it there (it was my first time trying this donut shop)

Just had food here for the first time, best food i have had in a long time, pepper steak was awesome and can not say enough good things about it . will be back for sure .

Well, for starters, I waited for about 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. Then someone came in after me and was helped immediately. She told them i was there first and the man rudely told her, no, Im not helping him. And when i finally get my food, it was cold and disgusting. Never again will i go to this place.

The doughnuts are incredible - light crisp on outside and soft inside. The egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had (and I’m not from Kyle). Perfect crisp and full of quality stuff. The chicken and broccoli - it’s real chicken and crispy broccoli. The sauce is excellent and doesn’t gel up when chilled. Great taste! I’m kind of addicted. Plus, they always give me an extra doughnut!

I love the owners and the donuts cant be beat any where. These guys work hard and they get up an crazy hours and put in super long hours to give us the best donuts around. They have their own recipes and no big box doughnut shop could ever hold a candle to these guys! You have to try one of their maple donuts with the cream inside!

Doughnut for breakfast, chinese for dinner. You cant go wrong the food is great. I do suggest calling your order in. Seems to work best than ordering online from a third party app.

On the surface, this place looks like somewhere youd want to avoid at all costs. It is a Chinese food and donut shop combined together. However, the donuts are awesome and the Chinese has the best egg rolls i have found in all of south Austin. Dont be afraid by its looks - give them a shot.

Donuts first thing in the morning are so good! KIND of like Shipleys in a way if I had to compare. They warm them up if u request. Jalapeno kolache is big and very good as well. Croissants are soft and buttery, bacon and eggs with cheese is my favorite, all fresh made!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their Chinese food! My daughter begs for it once a month, and I love it so much, I cant say no. Haha.I have read reviews about their fried rice only having egg in it- thats the side of fried rice. If you get the fried rice meal with meat, it has all the veggies.I have had a ton of Chinese food from North Austin to San Marcos, and for the kind you order out (not a sit down restaurant), this, by far, takes the cake.Their donuts are delicious too. They dont have the nasty taste to their oil that some donuts get. And if you get your food late, and add on donuts, that is when they throw in the most extra donuts!Another tip- order your food ahead of time. I always give them 30-40 minutes before I get there to pick it up (regardless of their quote time). They can get busy and get behind. Ive still had to wait for the food before (totally worth the wait), but Ive never had cold food. The portions are very generous. And we always order the same thing. For a family of four: one order of chicken fried rice, one order of beef lo mein-add broccoli, one order of sesame chicken, and one order or Mongolian beef. I normally also I throw in the fresh chicken spring rolls- they are very good and my husband and daughter love them. We always have leftovers. I have successfully added 3 more adults to this meal by adding in one more sesame chicken (they didnt want spicy food- so, I didnt add more Mongolian beef), and an extra chicken fried rice. Still had left overs.Order from them and you will not be disappointed! I have to end my review now because I need to place my order with them! 🙃 (seriously though...)

We just moved to Kyle from Austin this week and wanted some Chinese takeout on a Friday night. We ordered the General Tso and chicken in garlic sauce as well as some egg rolls. It was hands down some of the best Chinese food I have had ever!!! My wife and I sat on the couch eating and not saying a word to each other because we were stuffing our faces with this awesome food. Well done Hays city Chinese! Cant wait to try the donuts and kolaches

So I spent my Thursday walking around town with my mother playing PokemonGo. We stopped by here for a quick donut only to realize that this place is indeed 2 businesses under 1 roof. the place was simple and clearly a small business but the donuts were great and I can confirm that their beef lo mein and beef and broccoli with just a smidge of chili sauce is AMAZING. Never have I had such a hot plate of food served to me as I have here. The sweet tea was great and the cashier gave us some donut holes and drinks to go without even being asked. everything was awesome. this place doesnt get enough credit!!!

The worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world.I stopped in to order take out and I waited for 32 minutes for my food after I ordered and there was only one person who ordered 2 minutes before me.I ordered garlic beef which was supposed to be spicy and in a brown garlic sauce. It was sweet and wasn’t spicy, no garlic and certainly not the garlic beef brown sauce I’ve had anywhere else. I took two bites and it was so revolting I threw it in the garbage.Second order was Kung Pao chicken. It was not very spicy, or tasty and nothing like any Kung Pao chicken I’ve had anywhere in the world.Appetizer was shrimp spring roll, worst spring rolls I’ve ever eaten.Consensus is their Chinese food is absolutely terrible, revolting actually.Fortunately for them their donuts are good.
