Great store it was so busy I needed a part for my air conditioner and called all over, Sure enough Ace is the Place .The price was 50% off and they held it for me.The sales team was so helpful. I highly recommend this store. Between Ace Hardware and You Tube I saved hundreds of dollars. and the Capacitor I needed was more powerful than the original. All in all it was a great experience.

High end store for lighting, lawn furniture, indoor furniture, home decor and lots more and a regular hardware store. The gentleman downstairs are superior at customer service. Always willing to ask if you need help. Good guys.

Main floor is all lighting. We spent half an hour just walking around looking at all the beautiful choices. Prices ran from $20 for novelty lighting into thousands for chandeliers. We didnt even make it to ACE on the lower level but I imagine it was as well staffed as the lighting section.

This store is in touch with your needs. There is nothing routine ho -hum here - you are the reason they come to work & it is effective. We wanted a 2430 coin-style battery & they had several to choose from. (No one else anywhere actually had them)

Hortons in La Grange is the epitome of a local, home-town hardware store. They have easy parking, friendly staff, great selection, and a pretty good-size store considering the premium location right in downtown La Grange. We live a few blocks away and I enjoy being able to walk here (or jump in the car if its cold or raining) which has saved me many less-enjoyable trips to the big box home improvement stores. Hortons has great, dare I say AMAZING, customer service. If you are a Preferred Customer, you don’t even need your receipt to return anything! No hassle returns are my favorite part of life. The lighting selection is vast. There are so many different styles for different tastes. Everything is so unique. All of the stuff is very high quality! Their selection of decor is also amazing and very high quality. Beware, seasonal stuff sells out really quickly! They also sell a variety of local items from The Grommet which is very cool! Downstairs there is an Ace Hardware which has all your essentials from screws to dish soap to Tupperware. The guys downstairs are amazing at giving helpful advice and are always very friendly and knowledgeable. To top it all off, the cashier team is great. Especially a cashier coincidentally named Faith. She was very helpful and efficient.

The first floor has all the lighting you could imagine, but much of it is at a premium! The basement houses the Ace hardware where youll find some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people around. They have an excellent variety of tools, hardware, and home homes on display and available and is one of the larger Ace stores around. Prices are fair and service is great. Its literally a hidden gem in downtown Lagrange!

This is an Ace hardware and lighting store. All the ladies working in the lighting area were super nice and helpful. They didnt have the part I was looking for but I didnt leave empty handed, I left with the names, addresses and phone numbers to other stores that may carry the part I was looking for.

Over price dont get much help!

Mostly a lighting store with a small hardware store in the basement (not Menards size). Hardware staff are very knowledgeable. They have more unique items to repair older appliances found in the older homes in the area then a Home Depot.

One word BAD. Bad customer service. Bad products. Bad managment. Bad everyhing. Do not loose your time.

They always have what I need. Needed adapter for a 220 European light bulb socket. They had adapter and appropriate bulbs.

Hortons is amazing. The store is huge! You walk in and are really blown away with all of the chandliers, fixtures, lamps...everything.The salespeople are really nice and know their stuff. Ive purchased from Hortons dozens of times and they have been great every time. Theyve even done custom-order lamps to keep my wife happy.They also carry furniture and accessory type stuff, which is nice, but its there lighting that really makes them special.

Its ok

In Feb, I ordered two matching sconces for my bathroom. They were in stock and when we received them, the two sconces did not match and damaged. Chose another manufacturer and ordered two more. Have been given three different dates of availability and now it is not until late May. The staff seem to have limited knowledge on getting these products and uninterested in helping my wife and I. We have been long loyal customers. We are very disappointed in service.

Hortons or or Home Depot, that question is constantly posed while hacking home projects. The Horton advantage is the helpful, knowledgeable, and modest crew of redshirts and other worker bees.The density of product display is the opposite of HD, plus my dog likes the attention he receives from the staff. All in all Id rate Hortons the AP of hardware and HD as preparations to hire a contractor. (For me) After the fifth time one redshirt saw me he questioned me about my not doing the obvious troubleshooting. A lesson in how to fix a toilet that lasted over one year which came to a resolution only with repeated questions asked of the ace team.
