My current go-to spot for some awesome fresh bagels and great sandwiches. Their coffee is good too! We also like their savory and sweet spreads. The staff is really kind as well.

Got the lox and cream cheese bagel and iced coffee. The BEST bagel Ive had in a long time. Im from the northeast so its good to know they can do good bagels here. On top of that, the owner was the one to serve me and she was amazing. Her and the other woman working were super sweet; great customer service.

Beware- the other reviews are correct in that the workers always charge more than the actual listed prices.

Go for the Bagels NOT for the smoothies( smoothies were watery or was like a slushy didnt taste great either ) AND OVERPRICED!! 1 Bagel sandwich 1 bagelw/cream cheese 2 smoothies(only one size) =$30 AND they forgot about our bagel w/cream cheese Had to go back in and remind them !

First time here and I ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The cream cheese had chunks of cheddar in it. Not pleased at all. I threw the entire bagel away. My wife’s was perfect, plain cream cheese. Disappointed

This place is super shady do not pay with a card here. The last few times I’ve gone here they ended up adding a three dollar tip to the bill without my approval. It’s the same lady working that always does it and I think she’s the manager. I’ll be reporting this fraud to my bank and to the Better Business Bureau. This is theft and will be treated as such.

If you’re reading this, thinking about coming here and trying to find an answer, I’ve got you covered: YES. A thousand times yes, you should absolutely go here! The food is to die for, the service is incredible, the prices are 100% reasonable- if anything, they could raise the prices and it would still be worth it.I got a plain bagel with pesto and it was some of the best pesto I’ve ever had. I also got an apple cinnamon bagel with butter and the balance of flavors was better than anywhere else. This is so far beyond the realm of “worth it” that I genuinely wish I could rate it higher than five stars. You need to try this place!

The food was good, but maybe they were short staffed because they are SLOW!. With only 1 person in front of me it still took 19 min just to take my order, then another 18 min. To get a bagel and a juice. Next, at 8:30 in the morning, they were out of 2/3 of selection of bagels. Disappointing...

Marisol is super sweet, as is the nice man who made my delicious latte! I had the veggie breakfast bagel (on a jalapeño cheddar bagel... SO GOOD!) and it was better than anything I’ve had from Einstein’s or Bruegger’s Bagels before. They also have yummy muffins and smoothies that I definitely recommend trying. This local shop is definitely my new favorite place for coffee and breakfast!

This is a great coffee and bagel shop - friendly and wonderful service. I havent even tried their muffins yet, but rumour has it they are the best part of the menu. I always enjoy going there after a walk at Lake Murray.

Im a native New Yorker who grew up 2 blocks away from the greatest bagel shop in NYC. Trust me when I tell you this place is legit, I come here every chance I get.Youll feel like youre back at home in Brooklyn, you might even get a hint of that east river water if you arent careful and indulge in the daydream for too long.

Staff very friendly. All health and safety protocols were followed. Outside seating was clean and well spaced. Definitely a keeper!

Really annoyed it says they are opened from 6:30am-3pm just arrived at 2:25 and there door was locked while some girl was still in the shop. Husband and I drove 20 mins to get here. They do have really good bagels and muffins.Edit: decided to call and just see if they pick up and they did I asked if they were still open because it says they still are on google and the lady on the phone said no they they close at 2 but then proceed to ask me what we would like to order and I said idk we need to see the menu we have not been in awhile so I’m guessing they would have waited for us to come pick up if we ordered on the phone which is really nice but I let her know we were actually parked right in front and if we could come inside to look at the menu and order and she let us in. We ordered 2 Gold Coast breakfast bagels and we each got a muffin. I asked if they always close at 2 and she said, yes 2pm and then said the owner needs to change the time on google she apologized and and we thanked her for opening the doors when she didn’t have it. Thank you so much! The lady was cordial when she could have been the opposite. Great service. I’ve update my star from 1 to 5 because that was great service and done with a smile but also they really do have great bagels and muffins.

First time Ive had a chocolate bagel. So good! Definitely gotta put this place in there biweekly rotation. Just gotta figure out when..

First ones in, last ones out of the restaurant. After they made our order it was still wrong and had to wait further. Bagel sandwiches were nothing to write home about. We paid $20 for two bagel sandwhiches and were seriously underwhelmed.

Have had good food, good coffee and good service. Decent prices. Like the location and being able to sit inside or out. The only dissappointment is them not making pumpernickel bagels any longer.😞

Being from Arizona I have never been here before but wow was I amazed. I tried the samples of the muffins on the counter and was blown away. There were super moist but not like mushy if that makes sense? And Im looking forward to having one after my sandwich. Speaking of my sandwich I got the club and the lady taking my order suggested a specific bagel that was large and flat and would be better for sandwiches and Im glad she made that suggestion because holy cow it was fabulous. Im not a fan of mustard and forgot to ask for it without but it added flavor and made the taste much better. Im sad that Im going home today because I would love to come again tomorrow. Whenever Im back in the area I will definitely come again! By far recommend this place for the amazing food and personable staff!

I always have a pleasant experience here. The coffee is good (several kinds to choose from, free unlimited refills) and so are the bagels. Today I had a toasted garlic bagel with creme cheese. Good place, try it out!

This place is by far one of my favorite Bagel shops. Small great quality shop, easy access, super friendly customer service, and affordable prices. Yummy selection of cream cheeses. Coffee is pretty good too.

Ordered the Gold Coast Breakfast Bagel, it was good AFTER I picked all green peppers out. I wish it had said the ingredients on the board, I would have picked something else or asked them to hold them

A small café with a small menu, and an okay variety of bagels. Staff is pretty nice and are quick.I got an egg, bacon, cheese sandwich on everything. The bagel itself is just alright, I must say they dont look that good in the case but they are alright once warmed up and all that. The sandwich itself was okay...there was seasoning but it was concentrated and not evenly distributed.

I was taking a quick lunch after a work meeting and was looking for a sandwich. I remembered that Gold Coast bagel was in this shopping center and I like bagel sandwiches from other bagel places and thought I would give it a try... I am so glad I did! i had the Turkey and avacado melt and it was FANTASTIC!! I am just sorry that this was the first time I had orrdered it in the 13 years I have lived in La Mesa. I will definitely be back soon!

Hate to give a low score because I like to support local small businesses but some prices on menus and shelfs are incorrect. OK on shelf old and not refrigerated at a safe low temp. Staff are friendly and great service though.

Super disappointed I just bought a veggie sandwich which cost me $8 it didn’t come with chips or a drink the sandwich looked like it was made by a kindergartner one piece of lettuce two cucumber few slices of onion an unripe tomato slice a gob of avocado a slice of bell pepper which still had seeds it it super terrible I’ve been coming here for years and boy oh boy was this a let down!!!!

Expensive. Paid for a bacon egg ham and cheese plus a lox bagel and it cost me 18.00. Then the guy tried to give me my order with no ham.....disappointed.
