Best book shopping place Ive been to. Its constantly quiet and makes for a perfect atmosphere for in-store reading. Also its not only books. Great place for vinyls and even Legos. Found some great pickups for vinyls including Michael Jacksons Off The Wall, Kanye Wests College Dropout, and Mac Millers Circles. Amazing book and vinyl shopping, would recommend

Was in and out no problem... I was assisted in finding new books and found toys for my kids. The best one ever... Roomy and felt comfy at the same time.

Its always a good day when you get to spend a couple of hours at the Barnes & Noble. Theyre having a great sale not only on books, some up to 50% off, but magazines too.

Still going strong, Ive been coming to this Barnes & Noble since high school when it opened in 1997, which was huge at the time because Starbucks was new to SD and the only one in East County for a while was never door to B&N. They always have a great selection and can always order what they dont have. I love the puzzle section myself. Hope they never close ❤

I was here for a local author signing in La Mesa. It was wonderful to spend time with local author Ethan Howard and others.Regarding Barnes and Noble, it is a bookstore! It is loaded with knowledge, adventure, faraway places and again, it is a bookstore. Nothing more to say. ☺

Great book store for even a casual book worm. They have great STEM oriented toys and a small sampling of tabletop games and figures. Definitely a bookworms place. This one does have a connected starbucks but its separate from Barnes & Nobles so those of us with little readers that get birthday treats cant redeem them here. Other then that 10/10 will come back again

Its been over a year since I can around here. Still the same bookstore with book tables spaced apart more and a mix of book, toys, puzzles, magazines, and other items fill them and the shelves.Not the same vibe as before the pandemic. Not enough people congregating but if you want to find time to spare, read books or buy them, then Barneys is the place to be.

Very nice time there. Some relief that they are still open. Although the items I picked up could be had for less via an online retailer touch and feel is meaningful.

The store is laid out beautifully, and we received great customer service. One item in our transaction rang up incorrectly, but both cashiers at the front were knowledgeable and friendly, quickly correcting the problem.

This is my new favorite book store. The staff is so funny and enthusiastic and helpful. I get the same feeling as I used to get with libraries in the late 90s and early 2000s. Plus their selection is phenomenal.

I will say they are doing a great job keeping everyone safe. Also, if you did an online order and your picking up, you dont need to wait in line. Say to the person that you did an online order and the rest is easy.

I love how Im still able to go to a brick and mortar store. They have all the books Ive been looking for, if not I usually just order online from Barnes and noble and ship to my home. The prices are usually on par with other book stores as well as Amazon. Workers are always willing to help when looking for a specific book. This is the place to go from new book releases and a great book to read on a casual day.

The store had too many people in it. Only one for works (parking lot). The other is locked. Super spreader store regarding covid. Send liked they no policy in place. No longer a Barnes and nobles after this and the nook debacle. Sad, I used to live the bookstore chain. Not anymore.

I thought I would buy a book old school style, walk in and buy it. As a Amazon member I could have gotten it cheaper and mailed to my home.i love book stores and see many closing because of the internet.so I thought I shop here. At check out they ask for my phone number and my wifes name pops up.she is a teacher and was at Starbucks. The guy said she qualifies for a discount but since she wasnt checking out he was not going to give it to me. No big deal i thought but I went out of my way to do my 2 cents of trying to keep these brick and mortar stores operating and this guy to do this to me I did not like. I would think he would appreciate im helping a little for him to keep his job but apparently not. It was a few bucks so its not a huge deal but to be honest to I think Ill just order from Amazon, the drivers are friendlier than this guy. I wish he would have said nothing to me instead.so long Barnes n noble.

This Barnes and Noble is very open and spacious and visibly appealing and it is connected to an actual Starbucks store. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love coming here just to look around when Im not able to buy something.

Buying children books, no wait to get in store. Inside the childrens section had plenty of great books and classics. Chill setting and the line went quickly.

Needs more Spanish titles. Were in the border with Mexico should acknowledge their Spanish speaking customers more.

Barnes and nobles is a good place to buy books. They always have a variety and diversity. Barnes and nobles is clean and friendly staff . barnes and nobles need. To. Improve in adapting flexiable changeing the hours now that we are now in the purple tier since. Last. Week in january 25 2021 with govenor discontinueing the stay home order. The hours should close at 9pm. On weekdays. On. Weekends i think. Hours of closing should be 10pm.

Exceptionally friendly staff. This particular location is laid out strangely because its a single floor location in a narrow storefront. It didnt feel crowded, but it felt hard to navigate. Also, I felt the on-hand selection was a bit sparse. We found what we were looking for, but we didnt browse as much as we normally do at a B&N because of this. Overall, wed stop in again should we be in the area.

This is my neighborhood B&N and its a pretty damn good one. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Everything is neat and organized, but what else can you expect from a Barnes & Noble. And to top it all off, its dog friendl. (Extra points for being across the street from a hospital, for the inevitable paper cut)

Wish they sold newspapers like SF ...fun to see how others live. Or if ur moving to scope out happenings prices in that town. A treat shopping there.. even if u arent into reading.😁

Theres something about actually browsing a physical book store rather than ordering online. Place is clean and SD is not an issue as everything is spaced out

Can only access store by the parking lot which was inconvenient. Had a long line to check out but it went very quickly.

I bought a study bible kjv and 2 journals 1 for wife 1 for me and 1 pack neon highlighter and 1 pack neon gel pens. 95 dollars so im pleased.... The staff was very nice and told me where to look for my items...

One of the highlights of the mall, the vast array of all genres of books, as well as all manner of board games, is unmatched. The ambience here is perfect, as to be expected of Barnes and Noble. This location is perhaps THE bookstore to go to if you live anywhere closeby, youll not find a better one anywhere else. The fact that its attached to the shopping center is just a bonus.

Well they had all the books I wanted, I was annoyed that I was unable to enter from the main part of the mall I had to walk all around the outside of the mall to get entrance. More customers walk inside the mall then the outside of the mall so it seems silly that they would essentially make you leave the middle main area to shop

This is a beautiful store. I really enjoyed my visit here. It is more like an experience than a store it is set up so you can relax and browse the huge selection of books. The decor is exquisite, the staff are fantastic, it is just an all around nice experience.

What a great place to do Christmas shopping! I took care of over half of my list here. Customer service is fabulous here, a very nice gal spent a great amount of time with us and even pointed out the perfect gift for my son that I would have never expected to see here. “Steve Says” do yourself a favor and start your Christmas shopping here next year and if you can’t find the perfect gift there is always there timeless gift cards that assures your loved ones get exactly what they wanted. I love this Barnes and Noble. We spend so much time at this store, it feels like a home away from home! They offer a wide variety of books, childrens books, games, and cute gifts. This store is also very supportive of homeschooling families and even offers a 20% discount for teachers.The staff here is awesome and its a pretty relaxed environment which is why we keep coming back!
