I just moved to Mt.Helix and found this awesome doughnut shop! Victor makes the Best Donuts Hes a one man show...I dont know how he does it. I love the classical music with the smell of fresh donuts. Victor always adds a couple of donut holes with my order every time!. Its like hes sending off with a hug!

Very disappointed my first time going there because, my coworkers asked if I can get donuts from there. Never again! The donuts were okay a bit greasy though. When I paid the guy said I dont want pennys and if you pay with pennys I will take out the donut hole. I was only giving him 5 pennys Ugh!! Even the customer behind me asked if he was punishing me because, I was giving him some pennys. I will continue to go to Marys donuts in Santee. I love their donuts there and the service is good.

Visited here while on vacation and was surprised to find such good fresh donuts every morning. Apple bear claw is the best best best. The customer service was great and the person who waited on us was very friendly and welcoming

This place has been around forever. My father use to go there many years ago when an older man ran the place and today a young couple with their baby run the place. Not sure if it’s the same family. The donuts are amazing not to mention the prices are fantastic! It’s my new pit stop.

This donut shop has very good donuts. Whenever I take a donuts to church there arent any left over. That should give you an idea of how good they are. The owner is always very pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this donut shop. The donuts are always fresh and delicious.

The shop doesnt have a large variety and like half of the donuts cost extra. The guy was nice, but its just annoying that I had to pay extra for a normal donut.

I came here every day for 2 weeks to provide donuts for a group working on a special project. The donut holes were the best Ive ever had. Everyone loved the donuts too. I highly recommend them and the older gentleman working the mornings was very sweet and pleasant. Ill be going back.

I have been passing by Mr. Victors Best Donuts El Cajon, for over a year now. Now, I am not by any means saying that I did not want to enter this Donut shop. I was immediately attracted to the nostalgic look of the store. Seeing customers coming in and out.My issue was, that I suffer from severe depression. When I decided to visit this place. I found a warm, friendly, and safe atmosphere. The owner had a fun and witty sense of humor. He knew everything about his customers and they about him. Asking about his wife and son. Finally, I started feeling like I had something to look forward too again or than being shut in my home every day. Going to The Best Donuts in El Cajon was a blessing for me.Today I shared part of my testimony with the owner. I asked how he saw me. He said, You look normal to me. I said no to him. I have mental illness. You see we were talking about mental illness today. I shared how even people who appear, normal are not always. I told him how he had shown me kindness and that I now have a purpose to leave My home and enteract with others at this warm place.As for these hours...This man and his wife; work more than 8 hours from opening to closing. Baking and cleaning. The owner has his own story. Trying to run a business to serve others...to support his family, pay bills, make ends meet, and try and save as well. Just like everyone else.I know we have a right to critique...but this man also has many, happy and loyal customers who understand that he is the only one who can take his son to and from.If ya gotta have a donut and their good. Then theyre worth waiting for a few extra minutes.~~~Just sayingFrom a loyal and happy friend.

I actually threw up after I hate one of their chocolate donuts. It tasted like the chemicals you smell when you walk into a nail salon, and everyone I know who has been there has noticed that as well. Disgusting.

For 7 dollars you can get a dozen donuts including jelly filled and glaze and long bars. the woman who works isnt always the friendliest an outside of the building looks like crap but the donuts inside are amazing and always very fresh

I have come down to this donut shop at 5-5:30am on a weekday five times and it has only been open twice. if it isnt going to be open until later, then the posted opening time shouldnt be 5:00am.
