The best giant in Charles County period. The store always stay clean customer service is superb well stocked shelves clean parking lot fresh food . Definitely a thousand percent better than the one in Waldorf. But sometimes the uncivilized group visit sometimes . Not sure what armpits they come from.

Its okay. Pretty clean inside. The customers are the issue. Some customers walking around dont give a flying eff about respecting others or employees. The employees are always nice. Good prices. Its like an upscale Dollar Store.

This Giant is Always very clean and well stocked. I can usually find what Im shopping for in a matter of minutes. This is one of my favorite Giants in the area.The staff are friendly and usually very helpful.

Having to wait 30 minutes for Ms. Collins to package up the chickens, and finding moldy raspberries is a little to much! Then going to check out and finding out that a product was placed or the sign was placed in the wrong place..whichever it was, it was wrong! The customer should pay the price which is sitting in front of the product!! I found it very irritating that the employee that did the price verification saw what I saw, but wouldnt make the change in price. Will not go back to this store!! Customer service is terrible in that store!

I can be found here at least once a week. By far the best location in the area. Decent produce and meat selection. Even though they have self checkouts they always have ample registers open for full service, and I often go in the evenings. I must warn you, many of the customers are directionally challenged. During these times of Covid-19 they have arrows in the aisles to keep everyone moving in the same direction. Some people dont get the concept. Just wave and smile at the ones that are going the wrong way - as you pass them in every aisle. Jesus loves them too. 😀

Yes, this is a great grocery store if you dont know what goes on behind closed doors. They put people in management positions and then refuse to take the time to train them. Imagine working for Giant in a management position almost a year and still not receiving your training as promised. But yet as a black employee, you dont say anything because your store manager is not there or doesnt have the time. It makes me wonder if the employee was a white man, would he have gotten his training especially since it has almost been a year. Respect is a two way street.

Dont mind shopping here but food not as good as the giant in laplata. Sorry

Hate going to the grocery store but do love going to this Giant! The employees there are so kind and helpful! The employee who checked me out was so kind, ethusiastic and just full of energy! We had a great conversation and she told me she was a preschool teacher, God bless her! There definitely need to be more people in the world just like her!

Never too crowded. Always pretty stocked. Do wish they had a little bit more of a variety of certain things. The staff is always really nice. Especially the lady thats usually at the front when I go.

Do NOT shop here! Place should be shut down by health inspector. I am a beverage merchandiser who works the store route and backroom is full of cockroaches. Absolutely disgusting!

Covid Safe Practices and they still have some cashiers, not all of them have been replaced by self check out, Thankfully. While we need to preserve jobs in the area, it was odd that my cashier didnt speak to me until it was time to get my receipt but at that point at least she did say have a great evening, Ive never heard self check out give me well wishes 😀.

It was a little busier than I expected, but there were great deals on chicken . There was also a great selection of seasonal items in the flower dept. The staff are always courteous and helpful.

I have moved back in the area and have been disappointed with the quality of food in the area. The food here is of great quality and the service is great. Curbside pick up is excellentThe associate (i forgot his name :() is courteous and nice. I have done a lot of curbside at various stores, including lowes, target and safeway in Laplata, and food curbside in laplata and Waldorf and wegmans in VA) and he is the best.I have shopped in store and it is clean, organized and the associates are nice. More importantly, theyre veggies are fresh. I buy arugla often and the giant brand and Bright Farms brand are great. I have been to both laplata and Waldorf safeways and their arguala, romaine and other veggies have been wilted significantly lately.Anyway, I highly recommend this store.

They run short on a lot of different foods especially organic foods. They dont have an organic section At All.

I went there because I was in the area. It was a little too dark in the store and they were in the process of getting rid of many items that I needed. I didnt ask why there was such a huge change in the frozen and cold foods section but it caused me to have to go to another location to get what I needed.

Giant Food in La Plata has always maintained cleanliness, stocked product and great customer service from its opening. I often stop by to grab a few items and have always found what I needed. The staff speaks to you even when you arent in line for service. The parking lot is always clear of used shopping baskets. Its a huge plus to have a PNC branch attached to this location as it makes it convenient to shop and bank in one location. This is one of the better Giant Locations as its newer, fully stocked and great customer service.

Aisles are roomy without a bunch of additional displays clogging them up. Very clean & i love the self check out.

Clear winner

I probably shop at Giant almost every day (I like to cook and I like my ingredients fresh. What can I say ;o) This evening, I shopped at La Plata, Maryland store (store #339). As I approached the deli counter to purchase lunch meat, one of the associates assisted me. She was actually busy as I approached the counter. So, I waited. But the wait was minimal. There was no line. It was about 7:30 PM. When she asked what I would like, I asked her what was the difference between the Giant brand roast beef vs. Italian roast beef. Her response was, “I don’t know! I never tasted it!!” It was the manner in which she responded. It was as if I interrupted her and she was busy. She could have easily offered me a sample. She didn’t and at that point, I didn’t even want to ask. I enjoy shopping at Giant. I browse their app frequently. Tonight was not a pleasant shopping experience. Maybe she was having a bad day at work, home, etc. Whatever the reason was, I should not feel unwelcome or unwanted at the deli. I hope she has a better day tomorrow.

The Giant Food store in La Plata MD has both friendly and helpful employees. The location is easy to access and the store is stocked with the brands I purchase. The store also carries vegan options for my wife. This location will stay high on my list in the future.

Definitely my preferred Giant in the area, and the best grocery store. They arent the largest location but its very clean, employees are nice, and its rarely too busy. While I realize its a pretty new building, it would be nice to see some updating to be more inline with the style of the Waldorf location. Not a complaint, but a lot of the concieved premium stores now look like that.

I frequently get charged the wrong price for items. I shop here only a few times each month, yet at least one item every month is off by several dollars. Then I sometimes have to wait in a long line a customer service to get it adjusted. I wish management would do a better job of making sure the price signs are correct.

Good grocery store, best part is there is usually a few checkouts with REAL employees working so I dont have to pay full price and do the work of one of the stores workers also! My only criticism is I wish the seafood selection was larger. SUPPORT UNION SHOPS. LOCAL 400!!

When I go into the store theres colorful and welcoming stations for food. Most of the employees are great but some are very disrespectful and they dont show joy towards their job. The food they sell is fresh and delicious. The only bad experience I had with the food is I found mold on cheese, but the response was very nice and they took it right off the shelf.

Loved shopping here when I lived in the area! Shout out to Chris for being the coolest Giant worker there. I really felt welcome and appreciated to shop here. They also let me hang a flyer for my business on the bulletin board. They prices are a bit higher than Walmart, but its definitely worth it.
