Great company, very easy to work with.

I was a great customer who never missed a payment until covid caused me to lose my job. I surrendered a vehicle that I was current on payments and made the lease breaking payment as I was suppose to according to the contract. The car had new tires and a fresh oil change, nothing wrong with it at all. When I tried to get my son a car a year later I was denied because I broke the lease, they said I had 2 insurance collections on my report that are not there (I am my own insurance agent, come on now), and they stated that I didn’t follow through with an agreement that I never actually agreed to when they found me a car I was looking for and it was in TERRIBLE shape. I do NOT recommend them at all. I had nothing but problems since day one with them and still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m glad my credit is much better and I don’t need a buy here pay here anymore.

I cannot recommend Cars to Go enough. I struggled for months to find a car within my price range that was in good condition, with enough space for my family, and that I felt safe in. I really wish I had visited Cars to Go right off the bat, because they have been a godsend. I was able to complete the application online, making the purchasing process quick, painless, and even pleasant, thanks to Tina! I got the car my family desperately needed, with payments we can afford!

I would never take my business here, nor recommend it to anyone based off of what I’ve heard from several people over the years. To anyone looking to make a purchase, do your research first and have some good old fashioned in-person conversations with people so you don’t find yourself paying for something that doesn’t even run. And what I’ve heard of their customer service!? Absolutely disgraceful. Be thorough when researching who to buy a vehicle through, it’s your hard earned money, spend it on something that’s worth it!

My first experience 5 years ago was excellent which is why I returned for a second vehicle, however this time around its been a disaster from the start.1st week of purchase blown head gaskets, tie rod was rigged up with zip ties believe it or not, ac worked for 3 days then quit, the list goes on.I seeked help within the first week and was toyed with and harrassed about getting insurance for the vehicle Instead of taking into account what the issues are at hand.Threatening to repo me, take me to court, etc.. all because of insuranc . Mind you this is the first week of purchase and Tina allowed me to leave the lot without insurance in the first place.They completely ignored my concerns and continued to slander me and threaten me with their attorneyAs a returning customer im left completely baffled and disappointed. I can only imagine how theyve mistreated others and hung them out to dry like myself.Ive had the vehicle for going on 2 years now and have yet to enjoy it because the issues at hand are still being dealt with on my own. After fixing the head gaskets, the win module went out. 1k to repair that.Now the transmission is out and Steve and Tina ignore my efforts in seeking help about this.Again i experienced all of this within the first week of purchase.Dont fall into the trap, spend a little extra elsewhere and youll save yourself a headache from dumbo and the wicked witch that apparently run the place.They pick and choose who they want to take care of, they have absolute zero respect for the majority of their customers.Ill take this one on the chin, but i can assure you bad business like this will catch them in the long run.Tina & Steve you both need to do some deep soul searching and reevaluate your morals, have a great day!** in response to your false narrative Tina. I give them 5 stars. My husband and I were trying so hard to get a car and was getting the run around from everywhere else. We came here and got our 94 Z28 Camaro and had it for almost a year we needed a 4 door vehicle that is good on gas. We are full time at Subaru and was still getting the run around about leasing a car so we contacted Tina and in less then 10 minutes we were in another car. I highly recommend cars to go to anyone.

The qualifications here for getting a car is very unreasonable. I moved out here back in January starting my life with me and my currently 1 year old son. In hopes of looking for a nice affordable car to get around the town in. I stopped by their lot and saw pretty nice cars with very affordable down payments. I was very excited to do business with these people. Once I made it to the door I noticed a sign that read something about: 10 references (which was not a big deal) and also you have to reside in Lafayette for 2+ years. We walked into the place with only one worker at the time. She stated these things but wouldnt give us a reason why we need to reside in Lafayette for 2 years ro get a car. That was ridiculous. This place is not an ideal place to go. They also wanted over 10k for a dodge charger with over 130k miles plus 1000 down plus taxes fees and plates and other charges...Ridiculous. I would not recommend this place for anyone who recently moved to this town. Just Ridiculous.

Every vehicle I have attempted to buy has had major mechanical problems. Staff can be helpful sometimes other times they are hard to reach and very disrespectful. This is a great place for those who dont have credit or who need a car in one day.

They made me do my auto app twice, all the way over from scratch when I was applying for a car because I listed 10 references with names, phone numbers, city and states without the home address. I revised the whole auto app online for the second time and provided all the info, along with exact addresses for 10 references. They didnt call me back. I called back and the lady, Tina, I believe it was had an unprofessional attitude. I told her I had to work later and wanted to buy a car to get me back and forth to work on the same day. She told me that she didnt do my background check yet after providing my info for the second time. She also told me she was with another customer and she would call me back. She never returned my call after I called her again the next day. The way they do business at Cars to Go is inconvenient. I would not recommend anyone to go there to buy a car.

Listen and listen to me keenly. Before you go to this place expecting to get a car the same day make sure you have lived in Indiana for at least 2 years and have references from 10 people. If you are used to great customer care you will get none here. First thing they ask is to take a copy of your ID and write down your phone numbet lol.

Looked at a couple of trucks they have.. All have frame rust and rocker panels are practically gone. But 3500 down for them walked around the lot for about 10 minutes and no one came out to talk to us. All around a major disappointment.

They are selling bogus cars. I bought a vehicle from them I was told that it was used as the loaner vehicle and the car went out in less than 30 days they were at this point not caring about the quality vehicles that they sell but more about money I had the vehicle towed back to them after having it jumped several times and they still insisted it was just the battery. They came off as very shady in the end gave me a voluntary repo on my credit for not giving them and additional $500....Stay Away

I would like to take a moment to say something without telling you anyones personal information/business...If someone is unhappy its very common for them to write a bad review. Most of the time its because they are embarrassed that they couldnt make a payment or whatever the case is and maybe they were repossessed. For someone to make a mean or hateful post that is usually the case. Are we not perfect, of course not, but I have sold over 3500 cars since I started here and I think a handful of people being mad about their situation isnt that bad considering I have 3450+ people who are happy with our services we provide. I have made faithful, weekly debit card payments for over a year and the ONE time, I send in someone to make a cash payment, my car is reposessed for supposedly non payment, cash reciept is in the car, but yet it isnt in the car they now possess. Not to mention they said they continued to contact me for a week yet my phone has not received one call from them...ever. They said they were unable to contact me however they email me weekly my payment receipt but they have no way to contact me? I was told that no one was allowed to drive my car because it was under contract. It is not anyones right to tell me who what or when someone can drive a car I am buying. Tina is rude and very unprofessional!
