Extremely disappointing compared to the rest of the Rickey Meche locations. I’ve given it multiple tries but this location consistently has flat, oil-filled and overcooked donuts. Guilbeau, Pinhook and Youngsville locations are *amazing*, but this one feels like a different company altogether.

Yummy. The smell when you approach the entrance will make your tummy start growling and your mouth salivating. So many wonderful food items to choose from its hard to decide :(. Always fresh.

Well I ordered a chocolate knot, an item that is on the menu and I have gotten many times, but this time instead of my beloved donut they gave me some seriously sad, anorexic, cinnamon dusted, chocolate covered, and sad piece of dough.... the donut was so far beneath the quality of previous outings that this feels almost like a personal attack haha

Not good.I asked for fresh donuts when I pulled into the drive through, the lady said they had “just been out for 5-7 minutes”. She looked at me like we are not making any new donuts. I mean, it was like 7am.Skeptical, I said ok. I tasted them and they tasted like they were sitting under a light for a while. I highly doubt they were out for 5-7 minutes.Very disappointing.We don’t want mediocre donuts that early in the morning!! We want not only hot but fresh, not hard and warm!Do better Meches.

Im not sure why, but the kind cakes here are not as fresh as the ones you can get at Guilbeau. I have tried multiple times and now will not stop at this one even though its closer to my home.

There are not enough words for deliciously perfect when describing Meches Donuts. I CRAVE these donuts! We dont live in Lafayette (wish we did) and every time we visit, I make several trips to this place. Each Meches location (yes there are several and I have been to all!) makes their donuts a tad differently but ALL are scrumptious. You cant go wrong. The only issue I have is that some locations close crazy early....like 12 and 2. We found one that is open until 6, which is righteous because they Get It! They figured out that people want their donuts WAY PAST 12 and 2😉. I HIGHLY recommend experiencing Meches Donuts while in Lafayette 🤤😋🤘☮️♥️🍩.P.s. The employees are Super friendly and welcoming and the bakery itself is very clean.

The donuts were not fresh. They looked and taste like old donuts that had been reheated. I didnt have time to go back because I was already late . I am so disappointed. Worst experience ever.

Passing through from Texas and this place makes me sick. Sick that I have to face our boring donut shops at home. The boudin with pepper jack was really good. I have leftovers because I tried to get one of everything.

The doughnuts are so delicious and made just right. You are always greeted with a smile and made to feel like family. Which makes my mornings that much easier. So I would like to thank the staff for waking up early everyday to make us such sweet morning treats.😊

Highly disappointing experience here on 01 March at 0820. Visited with my daughter who was visiting Lafayette. She experiences food allergies, so we asked the young lady at the counter to please share ingredients. She refused, and further stated that she did not have any requirement to do so as there are too many ingredients. Prior to posting this review, I submitted comments via the website, along with my contact details for a response, which was ignored. Bottom line, not customer friendly, rude staff and a highly negative experience - cannot comfortably recommend this business.

Amazing donuts everytime!

This location of Rickey Meches is the closest to my house - so if we get donuts on the weekends, this is generally our spot. I must admit I am not the biggest donut fan, but my family LOVES their donuts. I typically get a couple of kolaches. Today I had a ham & cheese, and a bbq beef with pepperjack. Both were great. But best of all, their service was fabulous!! I had to make a separate order and both times, the same cashier was absolutely delightful! On my way out, I had a few donuts to take home and a different cashier saw me walking out with just a trey and stopped what she was doing to offer me a bag. Absolutely everyone was genuinely friendly!! A+

If I could leave a negative amount of stars I would. I went there this morning and the donuts were subpar at best. Their fruity pebbles donut was absolutely horrific a terrible mix of donut and cereal. I would recommend getting a glazed donut if you like the taste of Walmart’s donuts.

Went in for a King Cake. Paid over $20 for a mini one. It looked like a Walmart king cake - way too heavy on the icing. It tasted like a cinnamon roll, not like a donut. It was a tourist King Cake. Very disappointed. Wont go to this location again.

Stoped here because my kids wanted doughnuts and I must say the doughnuts are good. The coffee is hot which is a plus for me and the place is clean

This is my favorite place for kolaches in town. Try budín and cheese is awesome or the pulled pork. Also by Mardi Gras season you can get king cake with multiple fillings. It has drive through window and small parking lot space. The drinks options are very limited but is has the essentials.

Items are only a small part of the offerings; King Cakes are offered seasonally as well. The facilities are kept clean and operable. Staff is quick and courteous, ensuring a pleasantly quick visit on your morning commute. Each item is a tastey treat, there are no bad choices. There are kolaches, fritters, roll-ups, eclairs, and more. The kolaches are especially unique: boudin, pulled pork, smoked chicken, sausage, and more are offered. The refrigerator is also sure to have whatever refreshing beverage you crave, from milk to orange juice to coffee to water and beyond.
