Paid 400$ to get my scooter fixed. Everything was great and sounded great til I got it back and an oil leak less than a week later. I give up ! Take that loss I guess.
Took my Vespa there sometime ago because it was having problems starting, they agreed to look at it, sat in it for 3 weeks before I called to check on it then acted like they didn’t know anything about it. Finally after a month I went and got it and was made to pay at $45 service fee although they didn’t service it. Driving home parts fell off and looked they just tied my throttle cable in a knot and lost the clip. Lesson learned never take a Vespa to a non Vespa mechanic.
The owner is very very rude, doesn’t care about anyone. talks about people as the walk on the sidewalk, unprofessional!
Fantastic place. Very knowledgeable and honest staff. I dont feel pressured like some other places. He may have to order what I need, but I know it will be right and the work will be done correctly and wont be ripped off if I need help.
Professional, good prices, great service. Ive been there 3 times and all 3 times have been a good experience. Would recommend.Edit: 8/27/15Had to get front breaks replaced today, thought I might have needed a new rotor. Upon Jims (owner) inspection, he didnt think I needed a new rotor. For me this speaks volumes about his character. I basically told him Id pay whatever I needed to and he just charged me for break pads(at cost, very inexpensive) and labor, which was also very inexpensive. Ive priced just about every scooter repair shop in Lafayettte and Beyond the Limits is by far the best place to go.On another note, in the past I have called him with minor issues about my scooter and he took 15 minutes to walk me through the troubleshooting process. One last thing, I brought my scooter in last spring and had no idea what was wrong. It turned out to be a loose hose which he reattached free of charge. It took ten minutes. Most other repair shop would have gouged me with labor and trumped up replacement parts. Jim is honest and a very good guy. Take my word for it, you will not be disappointed.
Omg the old man who runs the place is so rude to customers and passerbys of the shop its just sad
Jim was very helpful an understanding
Had a blow out and they were already closing and waited on me to get there!
Owner very rude and acted like he didnt want any business I asked to see a some air filter boxes and he didnt show me one because I didnt know what model I was needing.. well thats why I was wanting to look at some because I didnt know what type it was I just knew what it looked like .. wouldnt recommend this place to nobody bad business and hes a RIP off artist..
Been going down to Jims shop all my life very good at what he does and he will not rip you off or do any kind of bad business with anyone this man knows his stuff this is the only place I go to get any work done on my bikes or ATV he is very knowledgeable in the things that he does and he is very reasonable at his prise he doesnt do it just for the money he really wants happy customer ... I highly recommend him he is a honest man...
Chris chadwell very good prices and Jim will keep u riding and on the road thanks Jim
My wife had a breakdown near Jims shop, in the midst of a long solo trip. We had the bike towed there. Jim stayed open to get her on the road ASAP, rode with her back to the highway to show her the way, and even called me to let me know she was rolling. He even asked me to let him know when my wife got home safe many hours later. I have been riding for 30+ years and I know the real deal when I see it. Cant ask for better help than this when you are suddenly stranded in an unfamiliar place. Gonna stop by and visit next time we ride through Indy. Thanks again for your help!
Good shop the owner knows what he is doing.
This place doesnt even deserve a 1 star . Its junk . All his mopeds are junk . Everything about it is junk. His service is junk . I have nothing else to say besides junk ! 😡🖕
Anyone that gives more than one star is either a friend or hasnt been there
It appears that Theodore Cruz was one of the many customers who was addressed by my husband on unregistered or ( falsely registered ) with state of Indianas new law on scooters. Google has not yet followed up on digital tracking of this customer ( or customers ) who has left this review. It appears as a false name and will be followed up on. As we move forward, anonymous and illegal activity will be addressed continually at our shop. VIN numbers are logged into our system to identify bikes we have worked on, also, to be used as a maint. record for customer service. As we follow thru in our quest to meet our customer needs, if you are unhappy with our following legal operations of service, be advised that other shops are available to do business with. Thank you for your time to read this. We are available to answer questions you might have at the listed number .
You cant beat a mechanic who loves his work. Quick, high-quality, good price.
Shoddy work and unprofessional. Prepare to have your machine stop working within a week of him laying his money-grubbing fingers on them.
Quality shop, they are friendly and helped me when nobody else was available to do so. Thanks guys!
