I drove all the way from Kihei and have no regrets!Just did 2 different 2 tank dives with them, the twilight shore dive as a refresher last week and the Cathedrals Dive this morning.Very professional shop, all the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They only do smaller groups, which I think is safest, and they do a great job making sure everyone is having fun no matter their skill level!I had Chris as the only guide for the shore dive and both him and Shelby for the Cathedrals dive. They clearly love what they do, theyre super nice and its really fun diving with them. The captain (whose name is escaping me) was a super fun guy and did a great job too! They really help you see all the beauty in the ocean and make it nice and leisurely.I truly cannot recommend this shop enough!

I only did one trip with Extended Horizons during my recent trip to Maui. It was a two-tank twilight/night dive at Mala Wharf Pier. My guide (Emma) was great, and the dives were too. This trip included my first ocean dives, and this was my first night dive. But it was very relaxed and Emma was able to show me lots of fun things, including a shark, lots of eels, a crab, pufferfish, and all sorts of other stuff. And the sunset between the dives was just so cool/serene. Would not hesitate to go with Extended Horizons in the future.

A few years ago i dove with thus group and recently (2021) I did 2 dives. All the Dive Masters were excellent, communicate, helpful, great suggestions and friendly. Highly recommended

What a spectacular set of shore dives at Block Rock and Mala with my amazing tour guide Maiah.Maiah was so chill and had an amazing eye for pointing out all the cool creatures to see. I especially appreciated her briefings of what to look out for before we went out, and also that she had an underwater whiteboard to describe the species of the creatures we were seeing as we went through our dive.The MALA dive spot is an ABSOLUTE MUST -- its CRAZY how many HUGE Green Turtles you see there! We saw a whitetip reef shark too and even heard whales singing!Best shore dive Ive ever experienced. Super easy and great refresher dive if you havent been out for a while.Definitely recommend Extended Horizons and Maiah! Five Stars *****!

Refresher… I’m a Certified diver but I didn’t dived in 10 years!! Because of all their reviews on here I decided that Extended Horizon is an excellent company to refresh my memory, because honestly I was nervous!!! From the start The lady in their office was super friendly and very professional! I scheduled 3 days after to go with an instructor.I met with Gustavo and he was so chill and so patient that I knew it going to be fun! Everything he said was very clear and I could tell he really loves what he do and loves to teach!Anyway Gustavo was amazing and my diving experience was just wowwww! I couldn’t stop smelling and he promised sea turtles and he delivered!! Seeing those creatures swimming just made my vacation!Thank you Gustavo! Ask for him as your instructor!! ❤️

Intro scuba dive with Chris was fantastic. Great instructor, kept us all safe and having fun. Saw tons of cool stuff we otherwise would have missed. Would recommend

We are a group of 3. We had an amazing experience. We don’t know swimming at all. We took the introductory class, we enjoyed it a lot. Maya is the instructor who guided us with the tour. She is very patient and amazing. She explained us very well. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a really great experience working with Extended Horizons for a week while visiting Maui. Erik was great to work with and the staff was very knowledgeable on different sites, animals and gear. Also, they have 100 cu.ft. tank sizes!

Went on a refresher dive with Gu who was fantastic. He helped me and the intro divers quickly get comfortable and took us to an incredible spot near BlackRock that had an incredible diversity of wildlife. Will definitely be going back next time we are in Maui!

My favorite dive shop is Extended Horizons; it is difficult to explain why but perhaps this review will help. They don’t sell dive gear. Well, they have a little, but it certainly isn’t a significant part of their business. What I think they specialize in, is taking small groups on great boat and/or shore dives. This year’s trip to Maui, I went on two shore dives with Maiah (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly). There was only one other diver with us. We visited/dove both Airport Beach (Kahekili) and Mala Pier (Wharf) Oct 7, 2021. Maiah ensured we entered the water at the easiest locations (we were both in our sixties), I was in a brand new 5-3 full wetsuit that I bought just the day before from another dive shop. I knew I would need extra weight because of the new suit but still underestimated by a full 6 pounds; thankfully Maiah had the extra weight on her (Yikes). So yes, great dives to break in a new wet suit, but also great dives to see turtles (including an active cleaning station with at least 5 sea turtles relaxing while being cleaned by wrasse fish), nudibranchs, frog fish, and sleeping reef sharks. I had been away from Maui for a few years, and the last time I dived Maui was in January 2019. Many of the same people that I dived before with Extended Horizons were still there, and had that same great Aloha Spirit I remembered. Over the years, I have dived with five different companies on Maui, and I have nothing but good things to say about the professionalism of each. I can say I had a great time with all of them; however, I am saying this to emphasize that Extended Horizons is my favorite, and there is something very special about the vibe I get when I am diving with them. Perhaps it is that they only take out very small groups, perhaps it is I think they may all be ocean marine biologists on the side, or maybe if it wasn’t for dive computers, they would have lost count of the thousands of dives they each have done. Maybe it is because their people like Victoria, told me when I needed new equipment and where to buy it, or how I might get even more enjoyment out of little changes I could make it how I wore my equipment. Maybe it is also that Eric took the time (I suspect hours including multiple phone calls) to correct my records with PADI. Somehow my date of birth on record was 1857 instead of 1957, and that extra hundred years was confusing things. Now it is all straight, and all my certs show up including that Altitude one I picked up years ago at Lake Tahoe. Yes, I really do like Extended Horizons, so sorry about this very long gushy review, and I hope you try them too.

Emma was an incredible instructor! She is very informative and explains the diving process in a way that is easy to understand for first time divers. Her attention to safety helps to put any nerves at ease. Emma is patient and made this trip to Maui an unforgettable experience!

Honestly, I’m really late on my review but as I was just referring this place to someone today I got reminded of writing this review.Last year I went to Maui for thanksgiving and that’s where I met Gustavo when showing up for my diving experience.For starters the whole staff is awesome and very professional, attentive, and caring. They make sure you have all your questions answered and your concerns expressed, they really make you feel comfortable.My diving experience was with Gustavo and it was perfect, so perfect I went for another unplanned diving the same day and we decided I’ll get certified when I come back!!Gustavo is really a good guy, even the animals know it, as we were diving one of the hawksbill turtle approached him and I swear I thought it was going to give him a kiss because of how close it got to him, probably one of the best scenes I have experienced of the wild!! Can’t wait to come back!

Not normally one to leave reviews, but I must say this was an amazing experience. Everything was very relaxed during the entire trip out. I had some issues with my gear and our instructor Maiah was extremely helpful and well prepared with an extra mask she had brought along. Amazing experience and very much want to go again. I highly recommend this place as there was zero pressure for time and I felt safe the entire time.

My boys 14 and 16 went and had the dive experience of their lives!! Goo (Gustavo) was the most amazing instructor! They want to get their dive certification just because of him and the Extended Horizons experience.Eric was great too! He followed up with safety and they are all out, a high quality dive experience! My mother and I had a wonderful time diving with Extended Horizons, and our fantastic instructor Gu! Gu took us out for shore dives two days in a row. It was really great getting to dive with him. He knew the best dive spots depending on the weather conditions and where to find sea life, like sea turtles, sharks, box fish, cleaner shrimp, and eels. Gu went above and beyond to ensure we were both comfortable with getting in and out of the water for the shore dive as well as when we were under water. We both used equipment from the shop (BC, regulator, wetsuits, and weights) and everything was in great condition. I highly recommend booking a dive trip with Extended Horizons and requesting Gu!

We had an amazing day with Cory! He took us on a twilight and night dive at Mala. He did a great job making sure we were okay and took time to explain all the different creatures we saw.

I took my PADI open water class here a few months ago and it was an incredible experience! I was pretty nervous going in but the instructor Gu was really able to put my mind at ease. He was a great instructor and I wouldnt have rather had anyone else. He explained everything very clearly and I never felt like I was being ignored or that things were being rushed. The dive shop was very accommodating to all my needs and I have zero complaints. Overall I highly recommend Extended Horizons as a dive shop and Gu as an instructor/guide.

We rented tanks, weights, and a dive flag from them to dive Mala Wharf. Hannah was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Returning the gear was painless as well.

Best dive shop in Maui. Extended Horizons staff are the most knowledgeable, relaxed, skilled and personable divers Ive ever worked with. They give you the time to really be with the creatures, not just float by. I completed and ecodive, an advanced dive to focus on bouyancy, after an amazing 4 dives at Mala Wharf and Lanai earlier in the week. The ecodives are a great chance to focus on skills, knowledge and conservation. Extended Horizons prices may be a little higher than other shops, and for this you get individualized attention, a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, and dive masters who are passionate about their work and sharing knowledge and fun with others.

I was nervous to get started with diving but our instructor (maiah) was very encouraging and was helpful when i was struggling but was always positive.

Gu and Eric were absolutely the best guys I’ve ever worked with nice easy going, helpful and honest I will 100% be coming back for another dive with them again. Gu was so welcoming and helpful it was everything I could have asked for.

Extended Horizons was a fabulous experience and our instructor, Gu, was a thorough and fun guide/instructor. We got our open water certification at Extended Horizons, and he made sure we felt prepared, safe, and enjoyed diving. I think we thought we’d like diving, but we may now be addicted. Did a twilight and night dive with Hannah on Mala Pier. Hannah did a fantastic job showing us a remarkable amount of creatures and teaching us new scuba tricks.

The whole experience was awesome, I really had a fun time, if you can choose which diver to goo with would highly recommend Gu.

My granddaughter and I had 2 wonderful shore dives with Gu (Gustavo) yesterday, December 28, 2020. Im certified, but it was my granddaughters first experience (discover scuba). Gu gave a fantastic overview to her and made sure we were both comfortable and safe. We didnt see sharks this trip, but saw other amazing sealife - octopus, turtles, eels.

We dove with Gustavo (Gu) on December 7, 2020. We did a beach dive and a twilight dive at the Blackrock. It was an amazing experience. Gu was very thoughtful with us and made sure that we had a great dive. We saw a lot of sea animals (shark, turtles, squids, eels...). Highly recommend this diving school.

Did my Advanced Open Water certification and than a two tank dive to Lanai. Nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable about the region and it made for a great experience. You can tell they are all very passionate about diving and a shout out to the instructor Johnny who was a great teacher and made the advanced certification course seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you plan to dive Maui!!

The guys at Extended Horizons are legends. They know their stuff and are great scuba divers. The gear they use is good quality and there were no issues. The dive guides did a great job in identifying and finding animals of interest to the group. An added bonus is that the boat is run off of biodiesel so it is good for the environment and doesnt stink like normal boats. Their operation is also solar powered making diving better for the environment

Went on a dive today at Airport beach with Shelby. Best experience of my trip to Maui so far! I had never been scuba diving before today and was a little nervous, but Shelby was an excellent instructor. After a few minutes of instruction at the office and in the water I felt very comfortable in the water. I saw more wildlife than I thought I would see.

The wife and I had a great experience diving with Extended Horizons! We are rookie divers and they were extremely patient with us and adjusted our gear & weights, on the fly, to make everything work out. Dive guides knew the reef like the back of their hand and paying attention to their observatios helps you find all the cool critters. Cathedral 1 was amazing, and we were given plenty of time to explore the inside. We will definitely book with Extended Horizons again. Thank you guys!!!

S$#*t equipment. I’m sure if you’re doing a guided dive this place is great. If you’re renting to go on your own, stay away. No compass was given, which made finding shallower water near shore, or nicer reef in a particular direction impossible. This is base for a good dive. We were told that students don’t want to stress about their dive to consider direction. We also weren’t given enough weights, though I had suggested more. I fought the entire time staying down, yet we couldn’t go too deep due to teenage ear issues.When we returned and I commented it was a waste of a dive, the response was to hire a guide. However a guide would not alleviate my son’s ear pain with depth, not what a basic compass could help direct.When I later requested a discount on subsequent rentals given our initial fiasco, I was again offered a guide.I was left was a dropped jaw over the inability of this company to both provide decent equipment and deal appropriately with consumer concerns.

Aarika, Johnny and Chris couldnt have done a better job. It was a blast! Morays, sharks, and an incredible collection of tropical fish. We were even lucky enough to get a visit from a Hawaiian Monk Seal. Pretty rare treat.Best teamwork and trust from these guys.They were very informative and helpful with explaining the different types of fish, as well as gear and procedural guidance.Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful trip with this crew and the dive sites. Captain Victoria was just awesome; very professional but also fun and personable. The dive guides Mark and Steve were also excellent. All of the crew were very focused on our safety, ensuring we all had a great experience, and taking care of us. With such a small crew and dive group, there is more time to get to know your crew and co-divers before you spend time with them underwater. I really enjoyed the small-scale.The dives were also really cool. The first I went on was a shipwreck dive at 95ft. The shipwreck was fun to swim through and check out, but, even more, a tourist attraction submarine drove by the shipwreck so we got to see that too! The second dive was at a pier, only 30ft in depth, but FULL of awesome marine life. Turtles, sharks, at least one octopus, and countless fish have made there homes here.If I ever find myself in Maui again, I will definitely be doing another scuba diving adventure with Extended Horizons. Thanks everyone!.

Went for a morning discovery dive with Chris, who was amazing. We were a family of 4, and he was so patient with all of us. He was a great instructor and was wonderful with my kids. Seriously top notch dive operation! Raquel, Mike, and Melissa were all completely on their game and genuinely cared to make sure everyone had the best possible time they could. Love the environmentally conscientious approach they take from, bio-diesel for the boat motors to the air compressor for tank fills being run by solar power. The added cost is totally worth the knowledge they are doing everything they can to limit carbon output.

My wife Jill and I booked a two-tank dive with Extended Horizons. We are newly certified divers from SW Florida and when I called Eric, he guided me through my options for dives and we chose a two-tank shore dive. Our guide Francois met us at the shop and took care of everything. He picked a shore dive at Kapalua Beach. We did not have anybody else with us so it was our own little private tour. We had a fantastic time, saw plenty of sea life, and spent almost two hours under water. Highly recommend this company. They take the time to explain everything and make sure that the dives match your experience. Francois was terrific and we would certainly highly recommend him as a guide and use Extended Horizons the next time we are in Maui.

Great job. My wife did a ship wreck dive and second marine life dive and things went super smooth. The crew was very detailed in explaining marine life that might be encountered, safety protocols and taking great care of us. I was very impressed by them and highly recommend them. I went on 8 dives across 4 days, both boat and shore dives, and had an amazing experience with all the dive instructors at Extended. Highly recommend the eco-conservation dive as it will teach you about the marine life and will give you an appreciation for being an ambassador for protecting the dying coral reefs.

Our two tank dive trip to Lanai was superb! Victoria, Mark, and Will led us on two wonderful dives while Captain Raquel made sure we arrived safe and surfaced as expected. We booked with Extended Horizons because of the great Yelp reviews and I echo those recommendations. The dive guides not only point out interesting and rare marine life, but they also strive to teach about the marine environment and fish behaviors. They drive a bio-diesel boat, the gear is in very good condition, small dive groups, the protocols and dive profiles are well communicated, they ask about your specific dive interests, and all of this comes together for a memorable dive experience. I will be diving with Extended Horizons every time we return to Maui. Thanks Erik and the entire Extended Horizons team!

The owner as well as the divers were great! It was our first time diving, we had so much fun we went twice within 3 days. We had a personal diving experience with just our family and a diver, the prices were very affordable. You can tell their main goal is to share their love of diving with others. I highly recommend you make them part of your vacation, you wont regret it!

Noe our dive master and Captain Rochelle did and awesome job today. Surf was rough on the west side of the island so we went around the point and the reefs we dove were chock full of marine life. Saw a half dozen green sea turtles and a super pod of spinner dolphins. Great job by both the captain and the dive master. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful dive. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the 2nd Cathedral. Great dive master and boat captain. Dive master explained the dive plan and what we might expect to see and then reviewed once we were back on the boat. She did a good job pointing out fish and other neat critters in the holes and crevices. I liked that our dive master wrote everything from our dive down on a chalk board at the end of the dive so we could take a picture and write it in our dive log later. Basic snacks were provided, but they were enough to keep us satisfied. I liked that they use bio-diesel fuel for their boat. I didnt get a headache from the fumes like on other boats. I also like that they use reusable water bottles to conserve waste and have name tags on each bottle. Only complaint is that they didnt provide full length wet suits, which I would have appreciated. I scrapped my knees a couple times on the reef. Overall Id give them an A!

Waist no more time looking for the best dive outfit. Small groups and comfortable boat made for the ocean. Eco friendly with nice mid morning snack. I will come back. Great experience. I am a dive instructor and have dove all over the world. Extended Horizons did a great job. At my arrival I was greeted by name as all other divers. Crew grabbed my gear and set it up. Staff briefed dive and what we would see. Showed all divers pictures so we knew what subjects looked like. I have listened to a lot of dive briefings and rarely have they been accompanied by pictures. Great for newer divers and adds to the excitement. Also had sunglass holders for each diver. Did not stop there, each diver was given their own refillable water jug. Had our names on it. Mike, Ashley and Victoria did a great job leading dives and captaining the boat. After dives, did great debrief with pictures and washed all gear.Would go out with them again.

This was, hands down, the best charter experience of my life. Raquel, Mike, and Ashley, made me feel like an old friend and did all the little things that turn an adventure experience into a learning and appreciation tutorial. They explain everything and then debrief you after the trip on what you saw while you were down. You never have to worry about equipment as they have that covered, all you do is put it on and take it off and they even help with that. The sites we visited were pristine and awesome. No other boats were sharing the space and the visibility was pushing 100. Ive never dived in Hawaii till now so I can compare to their competition but I can say that you will not be disappointed if you book with Extended Horizons.

We did the night dive with extended horizons and it really was a highlight of our trip. Francois was awesome in pointing things out and doing a briefing of what we could see.Id highly recommend them and diving with Francois. Night diving was truly magical

We did a 2 tank shore dive with our 3 kids who had become certified last year. Keith was outstanding! The kids were not apprehensive at all. He made us all feel very comfortable! We talked about what fish we would see before hand, and what else to expect along the way, so we knew what to look for. You have to work real hard to find fault with Extended Horizons. With over 20 years and 2K + dives behind us they really do an outstanding job of showing you the underwater beauty of Maui, Lanai and the surrounding area. I highly recommend extended Horizons. Some scuba diving companies dont realize that their business is not scuba diving itself but providing a vacation time through scuba diving. Extended horizons realizes this subtle point and it makes a great difference. Since the moment you say hi to the crew, they welcome you with a smile and they take care of everything for you from that very moment till the end of the trip. Its a 5 stars service that translates into what most of us are looking for: a vacation time doing scuba diving. They also know their business. I did the Lanai 2 dives trip and Captain Joe chose to do an easy dive at Sergeant Major first to get the group comfortable (some of us hadnt dive in 2 years, while we were very experimented divers) for the big dive: 1st cathedral. I found this to be a phenomenal idea because we were all comfortable with our gear and excited in the second dive at 1st cathedral, that its the dive spot that the group was most interested in seeing. The staff its very friendly, approachable and knowledgable. Thanks Extended Horizons for providing such a great time!

First rate operation and service. Just did a shore dive this morning and were very well taken care of by the office staff and our dive guide Collin. Very knowledgeable about sea life and great at finding those sharks, turtles, eels, and other hiding critters. Hes very patient as well. Well visit them again for our next dive trips on Maui.

Great value, great service and very knowledgeable dive guides. Michael and Victoria work very well with both experienced and novice divers, and the focus is on what you see, not how wide an area you can cover in one dive. Very memorable and you wont notice many of the sea creatures on your own, unless youre an experienced diver and naturalist in Hawaiian waters. Go frog fish!!!

Extended horizons was great. I wanted to give you feedback on our experience with our dive on Monday, August 6th. We brought our family of 5, with 3 of them being teenagers who only took one other intro dive before, to your company for a beach dive, that you promised would be fantastic!!! Well it was!!!!! We did two great shore dives with Horizons off of Airport Beach and Mala pier. Saw two sharks, tons of turtles, and so many beautiful fish. Very reasonable price for a private tour!

Captain Eric was timely and knows some excellent diving spots. The dive masters were extremely knowledgeable in the marine life and are very excited to share the sights and information. Would recommend to friends and family.

Amazing dive trip! The guys, Chris, Mike the boat captain Jace were great! They were very knowledgeable about diving and wildlife. We dove with Chris, he loves what he’s doing and helped us spot all sorts of cool things. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back with them again. Great experience! I also love that they are environmentally friendly, used solar to fill tanks, and biodesil fuel for the boat.

Wonderful! The crew; Captain Mark, and divemasters Victoria and Noe were all very experienced, knowledgeable. helpful, environmentally conscious and friendly. I dove with them two days, unseasonably cold and wet days but fantastic days nevertheless. 10 divers at a time on the boat with two groups of five make for a fairly uncrowded dive. I can wholeheartedly recommend them and look forward to diving with them again.

Went for a few dives with them and had an excellent time. Fun,knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff takes good care of you. The sights they go to are very cool too. This isnt the most posh dive company in Hawaii but they are my favorite. Smaller and more intamate boat and crowd compared with some of the big boats youll see out there that are crammed with people.

This review is long overdue.Allow me to explain:Back in January of 2014, I had a very nice two tank dive trip with Extended Horizons that part way through left me seasicker than a sea lion. (I was chumming the water bad.)I didnt request a refund because their guides were top notch! In fact, I gave each of them a generous gratuity for being supportive and understanding.When I reached the safety of shore, I called Extended Horizons and ask them to cancel and refund me for the second trip I had planned the next day. They immediately understood and sympathized with my situation and gave me a hasslefree experience!Theyve earned strong reviews for a reason. A great dive experience. The dive masters work very hard to make the experience great. They share great stories about their experiences and make sure to show you the best sites possible. I had a wonderful time diving and will definitely dive with them again when I return.

We dove 2 days with Extended Horizons and both experiences were awesome. My fiance and I had not done any fun dives outside the few the weekend we did our open water certification and I was worried we would be a little rusty. Keith took us out for a dock dive the first day and was extremely helpful with tips and tricks to make us both comfortable. He really knew his way around the reef and made the experience very enjoyable. The next day we went out and had Victoria as our dive leader on two boat dives. She was AMAZING! She made sure to take the time to show us all of the awesome sea life I am sure I would have missed without her help. After the dives she made sure to explain what we saw and why it was so cool Extended Horizons is a great shop and I am sure we have found our forever home for Maui Scuba!

Ive gone diving with Extended Horizons on 3 separate trips to Maui and theyve delivered a great experience every time. The staff are courteous and friendly. They are thorough in covering the marine life that we might see and reviewing it afterwards. Their commitment to the environment is great down to the details of using reusable water bottles for everyone instead of paper cups or single use plastic bottles. Maren was an excellent guide and she took great photos.

The best Dive operation in Maui!!!The diving exceeded any expectations I could have ever had.. Eric and his Wife Victoria are very professional and provide a detailed education about the unique Sea life in Maui. I experienced Cool interactions with frog fish, 10-15 different kinds of eels, turtles, sponge crabs, harlequin shrimp, sharks, Octopus( my favorite), HUGE schools of fish and Turtles galore. Thank you too all the staff: Chris, Noe( I hope I spelled your name right),Chaz, Mike( The multi-talented Russian) and of course Francois ( Frank) for the the best night dive of my life!! Visibility was 65-80 feet. Amazing.

This year, 2014, was the second time I dove with Extended Horizons in Maui. Wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable crew. They make sure that you not only have a fun, safe dive trip but also that you learn something new each time. They know about the different species of fish, those that may only be found in Hawaii, and also about the behaviors and the way the fish may act around you or around other fish. I dove 10 times with them on my last trip and each dive I learned or saw something new. Small groups allow for more one-on-one experience and will try to make sure you dive in different places if a repeat guest. I would highly recommend them while in Maui; both the AM dives to the cathedrals and also the afternoon dive was just as great.

Great guides, captain, and all around fun time. The crew was extremely accommodating. Setting up the trip was somewhat complicated (on our part) and everyone at Extended Horizons was more than helpful and willing to work with our different skill levels within the group. I would highly recommend them - they know their stuff!!

Extended Horizons is definitely an up-scale dive company that takes it’s environmental commitments seriously.Eric, the owner is very personable and a pleasure to do business with.The staff are all committed “Naturalists” and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. On one of our boat dives, we had a marine biologist (Jill) and a biologist (Mark) as our guides. A shore dive with Steve and our second boat dive with Victoria were also unique learning experiences. All dive staff are certified instructors and they love to impart their knowledge in a fun and unobtrusive manner.The groups are small but special care is taken to group equally skilled divers with one another so everyone can get the most out of every dive.As is the case with almost everything in Maui,……the dives are a little more expensive than in other locales,…… but in this case you definitely get your money’s worth.

Dove November 13, 2019. Was on Cathedrals off Lanai. Visibility was terrific. Sea life was disappointing (used to South Florida and various places in the Caribbean). The lava tubes or caverns were interesting. The boat we took is very small and cramped. DMs, Johnny and Jason were very knowledgable and hard working. Captain Aarika appears to know her stuff, however, when I boarded after the first dive she was trying to guide me to a spot on a cooler right off the dive platform. I didnt know that was their protocol and so I continued to try to make it to my seat, as I have always done on every boat I ever dived on while she is yelling, angrily, hey Brian, take a seat, cant you hear me? I responded, well yeah, but my name isnt Brian. When she talked to me a bit later she was much more pleasant, but it rather ruined my experience. Lastly, my wife developed a sinus infection and could not dive. When I went in to their shop on Monday to cancel her for Wednesday, the very pleasant young lady, Melanie, in the office said, no problem, but we have to charge $40 dollars, but I would get that back if they sold the seat, which they didnt. OK. Captain told me to check with Erick the owner afterwards to sort it out, which I did. He took $149 of 189 off for my wifes cancellation, but seemed pretty unhappy about it. So, my two tank dive with nitrox ended up costing $296 with my wifes $40 dollar fee.

WOW!! Did our first boat dive in Maui with this group. Amazing! First the crew, captain Chris, guides Jennifer and Jason. Chriss pre-brief on safe boating rules was informative and fun, not preachy or demanding. His personality and attitude made us all feel welcome and safe. The 2 guides pre/post dive briefs were the best I have seen, and I am a DM, so I am picky about the briefs. Jennifer was our group guide and she was awesome! no rush to get in the water, and once in, the dive was paced very well. Slow and steady, plenty of time for picture taking. during the briefs, they actually used picture books to point out sea life we may see, I have never seen that. The experience overall was very structured and literally no questions needed at the end of the briefs. Everything was covered from boarding the boat, to suiting up, getting in the water, actual dive, getting out, personalized water bottles for each diver were an excellent bonus. They are a green company, bio fuel, RO water system, Solar charging, etc... If you need an option on who to dive with on Maui, this is the first and last choice!!

We had 2 amazing dives with them on Lanai leaving from maui. The staff was very friendly and fun. The dive boat was very nice. The dive locations were amazing and our guide was very good at finding things and she used hand gestures and a writing slate to tell us what we were seeing which was very engaging. We were the only boat at the dive sites so they were not crowded and visibility was perfect. The boat hung out in a lagoon between dives where surf was calm. On the way back to maui the staff debriefed us on all the fish we saw. Great experience, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic boat dive today, 14 September 2018, at Wash Rock and Cathedral 1 dive sites off Lahaina. The skipper, Jason, was very friendly, knowledgeable, profesional and efficient. The dive guides, Chris and Mike were awesome, knew exactly where to find all the good stuff, very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of both dive sites. All up the whole crew was excellent, had an awesome day because of them. Thanks guys, love your work.

Great dive trip to Cathedrals in Lanai. Rachael, Jess and Mike did a great job and I learned a lot about the fish we saw. I mostly like learning to be a naturalist and taking care of the reefs.

I dive with Extended Horizons every time I am on Maui. Have been for years, and highly recommend them. The boat, staff and gear are first rate. The morning dives over to Lanai are great, though the ride over can be rough for those who dont like pounding waves in the channel. If the crew and your fellow divers decide the channel crossing is too much for them, the skipper will change course to find alternative great dive sites where things are calm and sea life is abundant...- this is the great thing about west Maui diving and flexibility youll find with Extended Horizons. January, February Ive seen whales on every dive trip. Have even had close encounters with humpbacks in the water, while anchored at the Lanai dive sites. Turtles are a favorite dive companions, as smaller group sizes you find diving with Extended Horizons dont seem to scare them off the reefs.

With this outfit for the past 3 years. Theyre very professional and have always been very attentive to my familys needs. Love these guys and gals!

All though the beach side reefs were not the most impressive that I have seen, it was intensified when a gigantic sea turtle showed up and graced us with its overwhelming presences. And my dive buddy and instructor, Amanda, was very knowledgeable of the aquatic creatures that I left with more the just a memorable adventure, I left with knowing a little more about certain fish. Mahalo Amanda.

I love the conservational message these guys teach. Everything they do shows how much they love the local reefs and how they are committed to protecting them. We went to Cathedral 1 and Nobb Hill.... and Oh. My. God. they were the most beautiful reef ecosystems I have ever seen. During the dive it felt we were given the freedom to explore and investigate; but never at the compromise of safety. Staff were fun, generous, and highly capable. We were taken great care of and I genuinely enjoyed the company of Cpt. Jase, Mike, and Chris. This is the first time I’ve met a dive crew I would genuinely go out of my way to dive with again... thanks for the incredible memories guys!

Me and two buddys did our intro dive plus a second tank with Harmony today and it was amazing. Tons of fish, saw a few sharks and a bunch of turtles. Have scuba dived twice before in mexico and this place and company blew the Riviera out of the water. Harmony was great also, great personality and very knowledgeable about diving and creatures that you will see. Would highly recommend diving with these people whether you are experienced or not. Keep up the good work and hope to see you again in the future!
