Store employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Jack helped me find what I was looking for. The refrigerated section for drinks is updated so it shows you everything the refrigerator has through a display on the front door. The only issue that they have is the refresh rate at the front is a little bit slow so you have to wait for the image to be displayed or open the door. You cant see through the door to see what products are there you have to use the display or open the door itself. This facility is on the first floor it has handicapped parking as well as a handicapped entrance door.

The pharmacy drive through is always horrendous to deal with. They never have your prescription ready. I called over two hours ago to make sure it was ready and was told twice to go to the end of the drive through line because it wasn’t ready.I will be switching pharmacy’s because they can never get it together!!Don’t waste your time when you can go to Costco or jewel with faster service.

WORST place to get prescriptions filled on more than one occasion the pharmacist has flat out LIED to me and my spouse about prescriptions not being filled always blaming someone else and its ALWAYS them. Dont bother even going here. The service is HORRIBLE and this location should be shut down! Walgreens is the most awful company for allowing performance like this. It wasnt just once either. It wasnt just me. Multiple times! You call and they just let it ring, pick up then place you right back on hold! Never again!

Not sure why their overall score is so low. When I lived in Crystal Lake, this was my pharmacy of choice. They were open 24/7 so I was able to come and quickly grab bandages or Advil any time that was convenient to me. I never had to deal with the supervisor, but the checkout staff was always friendly to me and they would even go out of their way to match my $3 manufacturer coupon on my eye drops any time they would run out of the size that qualified for the coupon. I think its just like any other Walgreens (or CVS) but this one is clean as its only a few years old.

Have been trying to schedule my COVID vaccine since yesterday afternoon. I received a message that appointments are available but when I go to schedule a specific time I get a service unavailable message on their website. So they have vaccine available but they can’t get it out to their customers because their website is not working. I called and spoke to Chris the manager and expressed to him my concern that they have vaccine they’re not able to get out to the customer so there needs to be an alternative for how they schedule appointments. Initially Chris said he would bubble this up to management but I suggest the bubbles move too slow and that he should call somebody right now and find out how to schedule an appointment for a Covid vaccine. It is 7:36 in the morning he said he would call me backSoon with resolution. I will update us if and when he calls back. Otherwise I need to let the news media know what’s going on.

Vanessa gives the worst customer service and throws pens at you when you ask for a refund and need to sign the receipt.Corporate is checking the cameras at this location to confirm she the the pen at me and three the recipe at me.I hope she gets fired. Every time I come here to drop off or pick up my prescription there is always a wait. The employees seem to take their sweet time. This time my wife and I were sitting waiting for the drive through for almost 30 minutes before getting to the window while I am in alot of pain after having a surgery done today. Manager/supervisor named Matthew could use a lesson in manners. He was called twice for almost 10 minutes before he came to ring up cigarettes before he finally came. Which still would have been okay but he didnt even apologize or say thanks for waiting. Just asked what I wanted. Thumbs down for service.

I have been filling my prescription at this location for a little over two years now and I have to say Im a very satisfied customer. The staff is very friendly and the store is pretty clean. The two employees that stand out the most to me are John and Teegan in the pharmacy Department. I really appreciate their customer service and how friendly they are. Never disappointed when I see them :)

If you didn’t need blood pressure medication before using the Walgreens in Lake in the Hills, YOU WILL NOW!!! Their window is a complete joke, you will be waiting at least 20-40 minutes inside is no different. They have 4 check out stations 3 of them are never used and the line is all the way down the isle. It is just nothing but aggravation going to this Walgreens pharmacy. BEWARE

The pharmacy puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then as soon as they transfer your call they hang up on you. This has happened 4 times in a row. Ive had multiple experiences with this Walgreens location that shows how incompetent they are. I never review anything, but I had to for this. They either dont know or care what they are doing. Ive never had even a mediocre experience here. Learn to do your jobs.

Ive twice attempted to simply drop off a prescription at this location to pick up later; both times after 9pm. Last night there were 8 cars in the drive through and after waiting 10 minutes with no movement, I pulled around and went in to find 6 people in line at the counter. I decided to wait another 10 minutes to see what happened. In that time only 1 person was served and 3 more joined the line behind me. I cant comment on the customer service here because Ive never experienced it. Both this time and the last I gave up and went elsewhere the next day. This location is woefully understaffed and inefficiently run. I agree with all the other comments here. Avoid this location. Im so disappointed in Walgreens for taking no action after what is clearly an ongoing issue.

This particular Walgreens is no longer open 24/7 however its still open til 12am & operated by an exceptional staff. Compassion & kindness go a long way when visiting the pharmacy! Staff does the best they can. Please be patient! Photo center has the latest technologies in self service printing. Newest to this location is the vision center & optometrist Dr. Scott! Open 5 days a week from 9am to 7pm & 9 to 5 on Sat.

Every time we come to this Walgreens there are issues. We have transferred everything to the Osco across the street and get much better service with little or no problems. Do not trust their automated system. I cannot count the times we were told our prescriptions were ready and then arrived to find them not pulled yet.

I went in on 12/17 to pick up my prescription in which cost $35 which I did not have so I told the pharmacist tech I would have Costco contact them to transfer it over since they only charged $10 for the same medication. Costco called them and they told them they never received a script for me. I called Walgreens back in which I explained to them I went to pick up the medication just the day before and they did have a script and the pharmacist tech went to state well did you call your Dr’s office to have them send us a new script? So frustrating with the poor customer service skills in which are NOT provided in this facility as the conversation ended with them hanging up on me after I requested to speak with the manager. The pharmacist tech went to state we have to go by what’s on the computer and there is nothing here and just a week ago I can to pick up medication for my daughter which they said they had no insurance on file. I’ve been coming here and dealing with terrible people who work there for 15yrs and my insurance has not changed for the 9yrs my daughters been born. How did that automatically disappear from your system? I called back to get corporate information and was left on hold for 30 minutes before I was hung up on again. Walgreens pharmacy is the absolute worst and very few to none of there employees have any decency to help the patients or customer service skills. I highly recommend you go to CVS or elsewhere and stay clear of Walgreens as they just don’t care about anything but the money.

The Pharmasist Joe treated me so badly because I came in at 11:46 and they closed at midnight. We had just returned from the ER and had a sick child. He was helping someone else but sent the helper to tell us they closed at 12. I replied that it wasn’t 12. She just kept repeating herself and the Pharmasist just ignored me. The store clerk at the front had told me to go on back since they were still open. The Pharmasist should have helped me. It is his job. If he wanted to leave by midnight maybe Walgreens need to close the pharmacy at 11:30 so Joe can get home by midnight. Will never go there again and neither should you. They sent us to another Walgreens and assured us they would be open but they were closed. I cannot tell you how upset it made me that one, they didn’t take care of me and two sent me on a wild goose chase. Save yourself the trouble and go to cvs

Showed up at exactly closing time. Doors were locked already. Stood outside for 2-3 minutes before I saw someone. They waved me away very rudely. While my daughter battled an extremely dangerous fever Walgreens associates vacuumed and waved me away. No matter my gesture or plea I would be driving to the next open pharmacy. This is what I expect from a large corporation but not from my local pharmacy. Unfortunately, the two are the same. While I have been a constant a customer for years this will be the last time I step foot in this Walgreens. All businesses are built upon relationships and this one just lost one.

The staff is usually friendly or at least Ive never had an issue. I come here to get my prescription filled. And Mary in the pharmacy is great! This time around I didnt have insurance and she immediately informed me about coupons to lower the price of the prescription. I didnt have the app on my phone so she ended up using hers without me even asking. With the coupons, I paid a lot less for my prescription. Such a stress reliever. Thanks Mary!!

Do not use this pharmacy. Wait times are absolutely insane for both inside and outside. There is one girl who actually pays attention and does her job, while the others are horrible. I have a problem every time picking up a medication. Have to explain every single time the simple math involved for my prescription and when I need to pick it up. The last time I picked up medication and had a problem the main pharmacist got on the intercom and told me that the amount I’m prescribed (by my doctor & I pay out of pocket for) is more than most people take, not therapeutic, isn’t recommend, and that she would be calling my doctor the next day. I’m sorry, are you my doctor? No. Also, he is aware of the amount I’m taking since that’s what the script and little sticker on the bottle say.Oh, and if you have a job that has crazy business hours, good luck getting your meds since it closes at 9PM.Edit June 2nd, 2019.Sent in a refill for my prescription on Thursday that I would need for Friday. I still had a couple and had been busy working, so I went to pick it up today (Sunday) only for them to tell me that their phones had been down since mid-day Friday and werent able to get in contact with doctors for refills and that maybe if I called I could have it sent to another location. So, you just have let myself and who knows how many other customers go without medication? Also, ITS SUNDAY. NO DOCTORS OFFICE OR ANSWERING SERVICE IS GOING TO APPROVE A REFILL.

Slowest pharmacy I’ve ever been to. If you call, be prepared to be on hold for AT LEAST 15 minutes before anyone even answers the phone. I’ve waited as long as 40 minutes to speak to someone. It’s simply unacceptable. Longest wait time for prescriptions, because the drive thru lines and the line inside are always INSANE. Every time, without fail. It’s crazy how management hasn’t intervened yet with how poorly they are operating. No one in pharmacy is particularly great at customer service. Overall it’s just a bad experience and a giant headache.

One of the WORSE PHARMACIES. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR MEDS!! They take forever to fill your meds. Every pharmacist has an attitude when you call because they didnt give you the right medications. If you have 3 medications to pick up they give you 2 only because theyre techs do not know how to look up any medications correctly. I overheard a elderly lady received the wrong medication. They gave her someone elses medication. The wait is hours long inside and out. The express pick up is never express you end up waiting in line just like everyone else.

I want to thank the pharmacy staff for going above and beyond. I was prescribed a medication that my insurance was not covering. The pharmacy staff informed me it was due to the formulary list and I would have to call insurance. I already knew there was no substitute for this medication, which meant I would have to pay $300 for one month supply. Minutes after our phone call was done, a staff member called me back and informed me they had found a coupon and it would be free!!! FREE!!!! I didnt ask them to do that. They went above and beyond to help me out. Thanks so much! I am so very grateful!

Picked up the medication for my sick daughter four days ago. It was supposed to be a 10 day supply. I noticed after 4 days that the supply provided by the pharmacy is down to 3 doses at most, nowhere near the 10 day supply. Called the pharmacy and after about 15 mins on hold (and after stating that we did not spill any, which we did not) I was told that the pharmacy needs to call the doctor to reissue a new prescription....???!!! We werent give enough to begin with!!!! This pharmacy, aside minor hiccups, was ok so far. Someone at the Walgreens screwed up with the dossagage. By all means I am not blaming the contact person on the phone, but due to credibility issues when dispensing medication I am taking my med needs somewhere else, especially when it is about mykids.This is not editing the original review - you cannot post new one!! Anyway, we havent used Walgreens in a few months but our son got sick and current pharmacy couldnt provide the med until next day. Walgreens here we come. My sons med was supposed to last for 10 days....day 6 nothing left - antibiotic. Wonder what happened with the remaining 4 day dosage. And this is not the first time we were shortened. And I use the dosage syringe they supply so I know how much to give!!!! Stay Away!!!!!

This place is awful, it takes forever to just go through the drive-thru and thats with no one there. They NEVER answer their phone and they never have the medication ready, even if its just a simple refill. They are unorganized and some people are so rude, its infuriating. And now that it wont be 24 hours soon, we will be leaving. No love lost. Worst pharmacy Ive ever been to by far. As Im writing this, still waiting for my script. I dont know why I havent written this sooner because its much deserved! The manager Jackie is absolutely amazing. Im probably one of the more complicated customers that come in. I get 7 can of special formula every month and they have to order it ahead of time on their truck order for me. Then I pay with WIC which always gives us problems but Jackie is always so patient and helpful and never seems annoyed with me or my complicated purchase. Ive gone to other stores and get sighs when I pay with WIC but never here.

Review based solely on pharmacy. Wait time is ridiculously long. Doesn’t matter if you’re in the drive thru or inside, you have at least 5-10 people ahead of you. At. All. Times. One time I stood an hour in line just to get my prescription. They seem unorganized. Also cranky, probably because of lack of organization, so they are probably overworked. This is the WORST place to get pictures printed!! Every time I get pics I think that it will be fine, nope always horrible. Just got my Christmas cards came home and opened and they just look bad, like not good quality at all! Plus cut out names off. how come EVERY time I get a picture order some part of the picture is cut off!! Contacted walgreens chat and of course they cant do anything, worthless. And I know going into the store wont do much good either.Last picture order they messed up 3 Times!!! Come out, get our act together.. The one manager took care of part of the order but when I had to come back 2 more times because the pictures were cut off ( over half the picture!) he didnt do a thing and had to pay 10 bucks for a order they screwed up so many times. I am over coming here for pictures and going to walmart or shutter fly. Cant deal with them anymore.Also, the pharmacy dont get me started on them. Walgreens in Algonquin did not inform me that they were out of stock on my prescription that I needed to have prior to my surgery. I had to call them to find this out. Very poor customer service. Oh, and then they asked me if I wanted to have my Rx filled at the Lake In the Hills Walgreens. Of course, I said yes. I did have my Rx filled at LITH, waited in the drive thru lane for 30 minutes to find out that I had to come into the store to pick it up, because it was too large to send thru their drive thru window. Im going to change to Osco.

Listen to the other reviewers, and go to a different pharmacy. They tried to triple my costs and actually hung up on me when I asked them the reason for my increase. When I tried to call, I was on hold so long I drove there and saw someone before they picked up. Only redeeming quality is the Walgreens app, which is not really related to this location.

Avoid the frustration, find a different pharmacy. All calls to the local pharmacy are routed to a regional pharmacy call center without telling you. The regional pharmacy center is supposed to process the prescription and send it to the local store to be filled. However, the communication link between the local pharmacy and the regional pharmacy call center is terrible (and the staff at the local store level admit it). On several occasions prescriptions called in from my doctors to the regional pharmacy call center have been lost or sent to the wrong store.
