I have purchased from this store a number of times via Just Eat. The last time over £7 worth of drinks was missing. When I tried calling the shop they have an answering machine telling you not to leave a message. I called Just Eat, they refused to give me a refund. They told me to contact the store, which I tried to do several times. I got the same voicemail. This is not customer service. Will not be purchasing anything from here ever again.
Nice to see they had security inside and outside. What was pretty cool was the security officer will shout out when somethings have sold out 😂(usually the cake).The food Is delicious and priced fairly. Food Is served quick and there’s plenty of staff.I Was really surprised with the array of foods they had.Jerk lovers will love this place!
Bagel king has always been an iconic staple of not just walworth but london in general. I would have to recommend the jersey chicken bagel and the iconic slushies. The apple pie and custard is up there aswel. The only issue is that people from peckham get whacked outside bagel king but thats not in their control. So its 5 stars from me
Its a good place, stays open very late, has a large variety of foods and drink... again very very rare I will go in there but its a great place none the less!!
I placed an order, and there was an item missing from my order, I have been trying relentlessly to call Bagel king to let them know, that I have not received all of my order, but I have been charged for the missing item. What is the point having a phone line that no one picks up.

I’m gonna be honest, the bagels were a disappointment. The bread tastes extremely plain, the salmon tasted old, the Mexican chicken did not have a good flavour. I will say the desserts and slushies are absolutely delicious. The prices are great too, for the bagels I wouldn’t come back again, for everything else definitely.
The best slushes and bagels in town, they have a queue outside at all times for a reason, people go crazy for this place! I had a grilled jerk chicken bagel with cheese, when I took my first bite I thought I was in heaven! Also make sure to try the Ox tail stuffed garlic buns, with the special Sauce they have, it is amazing! 😍 Defo recommend this place 👌🏽

Been going to bagel Kings for yearsss. My experience today however was one of did they change chefs the juices use to be nice and now they taste watered-down. My partner was not impressed with his oxtail and rice and peas, he said the rice tasted half cooked, had no coconut milk. The only thing that we enjoyed was apple crumble and custard. Please go back to the old chef of atleast 5 years ago. Feel like we wasted our money.

I made the mistake of glancing at the suspiciously high 5 star reviews instead of reading them.The salt beef bagel was a appalling, pre packaged beef, soggy bagel, sickly sweet florescent mustard and cheap crinkly jar pickles ... We feel duped by a fast ditch attempt at what should have been hearty food. Two half eaten bagels binned by two dissatisfied customers. Thank you Bagel jester.

A long time attendee to this here establishment. It was usually the go to place after a night out. However I think theyve dropped in quality. Its hard to quantify but in my opinion they have gone down the high volume lower quality route. Example, the apple crumble used to taste almost homemade. Now its clearly out of a box. Theres also a similar place up the road, across from the McDonalds selling the same stuff 24hr. I now go there. Edit: Reply to their response. Ive been going to your shop since the early 2000s, I think Im in a good place to say. Your shop has been around far longer than covid 19. I just decided to review it after going there recently after a while. Take it as constructive feedback.

Ordered here once in a while for a few years. I ordered the jerk chicken and didnt really notice the colour of the chicken but soon after midnight I was throwing up the chicken and was bed bound for a few days. Avoid at all cost or make sure your food is cooked before you eat as the food quality of this place has gone down hill

Slow service and short on staff, didnt listen to my order I repeated 5 times. 3 times to one person, they didnt understand laughed at me and then got another person to take my order. STILL GOT IT WRONG... WONT BE GOING BACK FOR A WHILE

I checked the site and the closing time said 2am. We got there around 1:30am only to be turned away because they enforced a new rule of taking last orders at 1:20am. Really disappointing and frustrating, especially when youre hungry and tired from a long days work. Closing time has been changed since yesterday, now it is 1:45am. What a joke!
So disgusting and disappointing. Ordered the salt beef bagel from here.What I got was four slices of pre-packed ham and a sickly sweet, kebab van quality, mustard. Nothing else and certainly nothing that usually comes with a salt beef bagel. Not even salad.Put in a microwave so the whole thing is sweaty. Disgusting 🤢One saving grace was that the bagel itself was quite soft and pillowy.
I was introduced to this spot by a friend. Im not normally a fan of bagels (too stodgy and I prefer hot food over deli meals), but I was told about a South London favourite- the jerk chicken bagel. Long story short, I tried one and havent looked back. Definitely a treat when I forget to bring lunch to work.Bagel King also sell Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas, as well as Jollof Rice as meals, plus some other dishes and desserts. Im really curious who supplies the numerous ingredients for the bagels/ meals, as the flavours are pretty authentic.
Food arrived after over one hour wait via deliveroo.Grilled chicken bagel is so dangerously salty and totally unfit for human consumption. There is no need for that amount of salt.This shop need to be investigated.
My partner and I order from Bagel King on Uber Eats regularly. The bagels are just amazing - especially the warm tuna one! I can not get enough of them! And the doughnuts and desserts are so tasty. Such a good range of food and flavors. Love Bagel King and great value for money!

Great 24hour spot. Generous servings and good value for money. Incan recommend a jerk chicken bagel with sweet chilli sauce and cheese (warmed). Traditional bagels like salmon and cream cheese also delish. Highly recommended apple crumble and ice-cream

I really dont understand why there is a queue outside. Their bagels were very basic and dry, not made onsite and it was pretty disappointing. I also asked for 4 plain bagels but only got 3 whilst I am pretty sure I paid for 4... I wont return. There are better bagel shops in London but I wish them well.
We travelled from far in the cold and rain for the world-famous Bagel King apple crumble, and it did not disappoint! So good, in fact, that a rebranding to Crumble King would be justified.Served hot with custard, the crumble was rich but light – we comfortably polished off our generous portions (including my fellow patron who is actually allergic to custard). Service was quick and friendly.If I had to constructively criticise Bagel King, it would be for a lack of stand-/sit-in space and a particularly meaty savoury menu. Perhaps customers aren’t demanding it, but I’d have hoped to see more veggie options. Couldn’t see kombucha on the drinks menu either – a kombucha slushy could be a game changing addition!
Easy to order, nice friendly staff
15 minutes to 20 minutes for a delivery to be done and still not ready. Unacceptable. 4 drivers come after me and get served and Im still waiting... Ill just stop accepting to deliver for them. Its not first time its 10 th time its happens and there was no queue of drivers I was the only one there. The others arrive after and get things ready. Yes it is a 1 star service cause customers with deliveries are waiting and if they rate me I can also rate you.

Really dont know what the fuss is about. Jerk chicken was nice, but bagel had basically been microwaved. Cold bagels were stale and a bit underwhelming on the whole. Give it three stars because its quite cheap.

Please dont buy any pre-packed West Indian and or African meals. I regretted doing so on Saturday 31st Oct 2020 trying to avoid rushing home after heavy monthly shopping with her indoor by buying oxtail and jollof rice but it was a total disappointment for both. God knows what ingredients was used, it taste so awful, we ended up going back to home-cooked dinner. Please stick to what you do best -- your bagel only menu-- avoid them pre-packed African and West Indian meals. Not for us.

This place is nothing short of the word EPIC! Definitely gets a legendary status from me. Firstly, I have to make a public apology to my grandma because apple crumble doesnt get better than this place. Whoever came up with the recipe deserves a promotion! I grew up in a jamaican household and their Jerk chicken bagel with cheese and sauce is... *insert happy tears emoji*. Just try it people and get some plantain too they dont play with their portions! Slushie was superb. I personally didnt like the Sorrel & Ginger and the pineapple punch was ok. I cant knock these guys on that though because everything else was OUTSTANDING! Hope to try the Guinness punch next time. Youll definitely see my face again, thank you very much. I was one satisfied customer and still am.P. S Someone mentioned a dry bagel in a previous review. I figured out what must of happened... The bagels are so good that obviously the delivery man ate the bagel from bagel King and gave you one from the local supermarket. I would most likely do the same and that why I dont do takeaway deliveries 🤗. Thats all folks.

Decent food for a 24hr place. Bagels could be better, but aren’t bad. I recommend the jerk chicken bagel. The salt beef bagel sometimes tastes a bit stale to me. Be a little cautious if going late at night/very early morning as the surrounding area sometimes has some issues which have occurred very close.
It’s a really popular place, where is always crowded with hungry people. I ordered one minted lamb, and it tasted a little too sweet to me. The taste is too strong so that I couldn’t feel my cheese. I’ve never try this style. Actually, I expect that is salty flavor. Anyway, staffs are really nice👍

Nice food, chicken in a bagel tasted delicious. The apple crumble was delicious too and very filling for me. I also had it with a slushy. All together it was cheap and tasted really good. There is a long queue but its not too bad since the staff are doing everything really fast. There is no place to sit so you have to eat in your car or at home. The other good thing is that its open 24/7.
