Very clean. Helpful staff that are easy to find. Selections of books, media, games, art, clothing, decor and chocolates. Found a couple of card games we are looking forward to playing and a couple of books.

Love this store. It has distribution services and all kinds of products from books, trek items, home decor, and art. The clerks are very nice and the store is clean and fresh. The location got a remodel in the last few years. Which is great as the need for space was pretty big.

Once you walk in, the smells of homemade snacks fill the air. You immediately notice a calm, organized atmosphere. Books nicely stacked and shelved. To your left you notice an array of snacks and cookbooks and homeware. Making your way to the back right corner of the store you discover amazing paintings and postcards and artwork of the Savior and various scripture stories or scenes.The staff are always warm and friendly and ready to assist you.

I like a specific type of highlighters for my books and this is the only place I have ever found them, I always find something interesting in the books I read and I figure since they are mine I can highlight them

My wife and I have to say that the ladies back in clothing were the most professional and helpful and most of all friendly. My wife and I are going to the temple for the first time on Tuesday and had to get everything. We really enjoy visiting Deseret Book when were in town.

I may not agree with Mormon theology, but they sell the Chosen season 1 (dvd and blu-ray) here, the series depicting Jesus and His disciples. I called every Christian supply store in a 100 mile radius, even big chain stores- none sell it (its pretty new, and with covid it might make it difficult to get new priducts). Really helpful and friendly staff. Cute cookware section.

I love going into the store. The staff always are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Their selections are great. If I need anything they offer to order it. Is that always make sure that I leave there completely happy, more times more happy when I leave then when I came in. I bought a beautiful painting from there on my last visit and the staff went in the back to see if there was one already in a box for me. They didnt mean to do that I would have purchased the one on display. But they went above and beyond and Im super grateful.

First time here. Used to go in CA.GREAT variety, but will have to go back. Staff in the Clothing Distribution Center VERY helpful (which was all I was there for today). Will be coming back to check out the REST of the store.

I was going to be traveling past the Portland store on my way to a baptism so I called ahead and purchased by phone the items I needed for my granddaughter. A memory book, a towel, a pillowcase and a card. An associate named Lisa picked out the items and rang them up. She was wonderful. She understood what I wanted...she choose for me..ie. the card.. she was perfect. The next am we stopped and picked up the purchase saving a good half hour at least. Newly renovated building it was very modern and great. I will say the layout is a little weird on trying to find stuff compared to before. Before they had media and music on the right and books on the left now it’s all mixed together. But still very nice.

Recently expanded. During the Christmas season they have a wide selection of nativities. Amazing artwork for sale. Childrens area for children with mini chairs & table. Restroom. A few lounge chairs if you want to sit to check out items before purchase. Fresh chocolates display and fridge with drinks for purchase. Distribution center for temple clothing in the back. Friendly staff. Items for sale include books, movies, housewares, artwork, collectibles and jewelry.

They give you great book recommendations and have fun, inspirational movies; art; books; and toys. They also have delicious snacks.

Very nice place. In a new location since last been to it over a year ago. Super friendly staff and the chocolates you can purchase at the counter are worth the trip alone.

Deseret Book is the place to be! If you are ever feeling down and need a pick up come here! All material here is uplifting! All the books here help bring peace into your life. If you are having cravings from your sweet tooth, they have some amazing chocolates here too! And they even have movies here for those who arent a big fan of reading books!

As always I am impressed with their boon selection, but the prices are overwhelming. It is too bad most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints will never be able to afford to shop there.

In love with this store, visited from out of town, usually go to Bellevue next to the Temple, but I was passing through and found this one. Not as big as the other one, but they are getting ready to move into the building next door with their remodel. I am sure that it will be nice though. The sales people and workers at this one was super nice and helpful.

Expensive, but great items. Newly remodeled and it looks great. At the end if the year there are tons of Nativity stuff to look at. Fun to window shop while hoping a rich relative will buy you stuff.

While the store is focused in many ways for the LDS community, this place as the best selection of Christ-centered art in the state, hands down. So, if youre a Christian (or shopping for someone Christian) in search of some incredible art for your home, this is the place to come. They are always pleasant and cheerful here. They greeted me as I entered, answered questions I had about a book and book on CD series, even helping me find stores that carried what I was looking for on the items they didnt have in stock!

Deseret book is great! New products come in frequently so every time we stop by there is something new to discover. My favorite part is the distribution center portion. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They are always eager to help, and you should let them! They take all of the guesswork out of finding the right fit, and make the whole process a breeze!

My wife and I love coming to Deseret Book. Yes, often the prices are a little higher than online but we understand that has to be the case when so many products are in stock, on display and at our fingertips ready for purchase. Im happy to pay for the convenience of not waiting for online shipping when Im in a bind and need one of their products now.The store is always clean, organized and pleasing to the eye. There are not many places where I can feel peace and comfort while shopping.The staff, which consist of younger and older generations, have always been helpful and courteous, even when it is obvious they are busy and stressed.We are so thankful to have a Deseret Book location here in Portland(Lake Oswego) supplying goods that are only sold there rather than relying strictly on online retail.
