Love this local grocery store. They have a lovely selection of items. Produce is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful

Just moved to the area and was looking for a place for regular weekly grocery shopping. We were asked twice if we could be helped in finding items, and we were given a special toy for our child (they ordered too many and were giving them away to children). Overall, the price and the service were great.

This giant is awesome and the seafood department used to be also. There was an African American man that worked there for a long time and he was great! Always friendly, patient, and kind to customers. Also a great cook. Now, there is a younger African American guy working and he is VERY rude! He acted annoyed when I ordered and was very short and sarcastic. Very unprofessional. Hopefully he can change his attitude and make it a great place again.

I had a birthday cake ordered. I have to admit that it at least it was the second best cake I had . Loved it . Thanks to the friendly and helpful employees here.

I actually like this store and have been going for years. The staff is wonderful. I have never had an issue with any employee, many recognize me, and greet me politely. My main concern is in having to handle groceries. It will often require handling groceries three times, while still in the store--taking the item off the shelf and placing it in your cart; taking the item out of the cart and placing it on a conveyer belt, and now, we have to take theh bagged groceries from the counter and place it back in the cart. I may be spoiled, but at Harris Teeter, we only handle them once. They do everything else. Giant may be slightly less expensive, but Id rather pay a little more and enjoy top notch service.

Great local grocery store. Carries most, if not all of your favorite products. Good prices, and theres always promotions/sales going on with their produce. Covid protocols followed, very responsible. Associates are very helpful and provide great customer service.

Love this giant. I have used both in store and curbside options for shopping, and have not been disappointed EVER!!! The staff is very friendly and they are typically always in stock with items.

Went in this morning to get a money gram like I have done for the past 2 years. James behind the customer service station takes my cash and I told him I will pay the rest with my debit card just like I did last month he says no problem just need your card and Id which I had then he says he cant take my debit card because it doesnt have a chip. What..are you kidding me. I used it last month for the same thing and now you are saying no. James then says its store policy. Well then James you didnt do your job last month when you checked my id and let me pay with swiping my card. Whoever made this rule up needs to fix it. As long as you can do debit and not credit it should be not problem. Terrible customer service.

This is my neighborhood grocery store and Im very grateful that we have the convenience of having one so close; however, while the quality of the produce, meat, and overall selection is great... the prices are really high in comparison to most other local grocery stores so we rarely ever go shopping here for ALL of our groceries. Its usually when we forgot something or need something in an emergency. Staff is friendly and the facility is pretty nice after they renovated a few years ago.

People please watch out for the infected sushi area; Last night had bought sushi and woke up with upset stomach; diarrhea and vomiting. Extremely frustrated especially during pandemic. I believe I got food poisoned. I will follow up with them, this is ridiculous.

They are convient and the store is clean. They do not have great produce, its just ok, and their meat section has been terrible since Covid began. Another grocery store about 1 mile away has far superior selection of meat. Not sure why one grocery chain can keep meat stocked, specifically beef, but another grocery store chain struggles.

This is my communitys Giant and I love it, so much that I sometimes walk in before I think of what I might need to buy. The staff is friendly and the store is neat. A big shout out to Lake Ridge Giant food store 👍👍

Giant is always working for us. The employees are cheerful and helpful. Store on Hedges Run is clean and organized. I really think the store management and team do a great job.

This is my go to grocery store on the Lake Ridge side of town. Its not as big as other stores but I can always find what I need. The prices are better than Safeway and Harris Teeter and the food is fresher than Food Lion.The cashiers are always friendly. One woman is great with my kids and one of the younger men is always singing obscure oldies. Always makes me smile, because Im not brave enough to sing along. 🙂

While Giant as a company offers great prices (for sale items), their contingencies of spending ($25 or more) to get particular prices is time consuming.At this location, overall most of employees offer great customer service. When i walked in the door, I was greeted most pleasantly by the cashier assisting self checkout. I even observed her helping a customer that didnt know where to place bags for recycling. All while still doing her main job. For her service alone, I would go back to this store.They also offer a wide variety of products. To be one of the smaller grocery stores in the immediate area, they have items for healthy eating - even for those that require a specialized diet. So while parking isnt the best and getting out of the lot is a bit of a maze, this site offers better than some of their close competitors.

Giant was clean and organized. Sad that there were so many empty shelves. And extremely upsetting that 3 people were without masks. They should not be allowed to shop.

My husband and I were able to find everything we were looking for, to include the Chocolate Bomb cake for our daughters birthday, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I was in the self check out lane. The Giant employee scanned my items and put the items in plastic bags. I was unable to use a reusable bag.. Very disappointing!

Giant Food | Hedges Run | Seafood Dept.This afternoon I ordered a half pound of $9.99lb. raw shrimp (steamed medium Obay season). I asked the seafood associate to please weigh my order and place it in a plastic bag and I assume it wasnt in him to do it today.I asked the other guy and he did. Neither would provide me with a name and I was I hurt. When I get home I realize I was charged for the wrong item!! The original associate had braids and a cap on. Not that it matters but neither associate had on a hair net.

I really enjoyed this trip because I had my great grandson with me and he was curious about everything

Giants prices over all are still too expensive. Lidel, Global Foods and Aldi have more competitive prices. Safeways meats are better and cost much less.

It carries many varieties of products and produce including fresh meat, Deli and seafood. But the prices are very high compared to Food Lion and LIDL.

Ive been coming to this store since before my kids were born and I went there today with my granddaughter. Even though its a chain the supermarket has the community feel with very pleasant employees and everything you could need from a grocery store.

Worst bakery ever, fresh rolls are always hard, just bought Danish that had a 7 day shelf life that were dry and inedible, I dont expect a response because out if all the times Ive been in that store I have yet to see a general manager.

Its one of those satellite grocery stores, smaller, with a smaller selection. It has a good size organic section tho... I like that. Ppl are friendly and its always been clean when I went in....

This old construction Giant is a staple of the community by providing reliable access to produce, dry goods, dairy, meats, and frozen goods.Over the last few years theyve expanded their organic and health centric options from a quarter aisle into one and a half.Dairy options used to be limited to a select few brands, but has expanded into several non dairy options with a quarter fridge aisle dedicated to organic options.Staff are always friendly and happy to help!As of 2017 they now have new produce shelving, and illuminated checkout shelving which do bring a fresher look to the overall look.Redbox, coinstar, and lotto options here as well.
