To my surprising clean enough, I saw women was cleaning windows, restrooms clean, and friendly stuff, so I decided to to stay overnight. To be frank I did not really expect it from this area (Gary, Chicago).

Had security wake me up and tell me I had to move because I was in a reserve spot. As the pics show, I was parked beside the last reserved. To then it didn’t matter. Pay or move. Of these are reserved spots, they should be clearly marked. Still other trucks were parked in spaces clearly marked no parking and nothing was done. Manager was no help acting like a knot on a log with no people skills. Very unprofessional here.

Dont be surprised if you get rude customer service. The women their share the boss role as they make up their own way of during things. Bottom Line Is !!!Take care of the drivers!!!

This Flying J is by far one of the best I have been in..The staff are all super friendly and helpful the property and building are pretty much immaculate..if I was wearing a hat it would definitely be raised to staff and management....and Lou thanks you too.

Why would you let a truck driver bring a dog inside the truck stop? Aww he’s so cute !!!!Purchase a shower and take the dog in with them. It’s bad enough that showers are half cleaned then you allow a dog in it. Freaking ridiculous the showers are for humans not personal pets.

Stay here instead of the one in Gary. Its much better. Trust me, youll be glad you did.Tons of parking. 17 showers! Large drivers lounge. Large public laundry.Stop through here from time to time an have overnighted and made use of their facilities. Never had any complaints. Friendly staff, place has always been reasonably clean and of course if youre heading west, fuel prices are way lower than theyre gonna be one you get to Illinois. So youd better fill up here.

Had a gift card for pilot gas used it.well when I tried to use the gift credit card at the pumps it didnt work. You have to go inside for the gift card and they do it Manually. My son bought me the card for gas and I thought it would work like a credit card at the pumps but I was surprised.

Nice place to stop many amenities nearby truck wash many food stops. Large lot many pumps. And Boss shop and chrome shop.

Bathrooms are clean, the pumps are in good condition. Overall store is good and great coffee options with the new capuchino machines as well.

Food was great and the staff were friendly. I liked the burritos a lot. The toilet did not have hot water.

Great people! I bought a reserved parking on the APP but for some reason the app booked me on the next day instead and there were no spots available. Instead of refund me or telling me to call the reservation department, I was told park by the fuel. They even came out in the cold to show me the spot. That’s above and beyond customer service! Thank you!

Morning girls are awesome. Food is great. The cinnabuns are cooked fresh. The burritos are amazing for breakfast. The only bad thing were the showers, the water was not adjustable and it burns ya with scolding hot water, and the toilet was not clean there was poop still on the seat and shaved hairs in the sink and on toilet seat. Nothing in those bathrooms were cleaned or sanitized. Told the girls up front last night and they didnt seem to care. So be careful if choosing a shower here, wash at your own risk.

I’m a driver, arrived to this truck stop, went to the shop for my mudflap change I lost my old one, all I can say is the ladies in the shop Sarah and Sam were so amazing and helpful, they even had the time to listen to how my day went, I made them laugh and they did the same, thank you so much for the great attitude and great work ladies keep the great work up, ohh sorry not to mention the technician in the shop was amazing as well very fast and helpful, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy new year and I hope to see you again 🙏

Great place, people are so nice and friendly. Everyone was smiling. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the food there was also pretty great, especially at the front hot bar, felt like a nice home cooked meal on this road trip. Recommend you making a pit stop here to rejuvenate!

I forgot why I do not take loads/delivery this area. I was charged for creamer wish I could give negative stars. When food/items get expensive it’s in part because you make truckers not want to deliver to your area. Hitting reject load next time I see any assignments in this area. What an unfriendly policy hope you all enjoy more expensive products on your selves😄

We had such an excellent experience here that we are saving this location for future travel passes. We ate at Dennys where every employee we interacted with was friendly and professional. Our waitress was top notch! She brought a small bowl of sliced bananas for my one year old before bringing our appetizer of hot wings to the table so she wouldnt get upset she couldnt also start eating. The food itself was delicious. I ordered the berry caramel crepe breakfast and it was perfection. Thank you so much! We look forward to stopping by again!

Im late on this review but I stopped in between 6-7pm on a Tuesday early/mid June, and the girls working the counter were awesome. They genuinely appreciated customers and were pleasant to see and talk too. I wish we had more convenience spots in Michigan like this. The food was fresh, store was clean, and during a busy dinner hour the staff was on point. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Thanks again for the warm hospitality

We stay at thousands of Flying Pilots and or Pilot Js as I now like to call them... They are very typical truck stops. This one has plenty of parking and a restaurant. Showers were big, clean, plenty of hot water, and good ventilation. I normally do not review truck stops as we stay at so many. I only review really bad or really good experiences. Im proud to report on the latter. The customer service at this truck stop was amazing. Every single employee from cashier to shower attendant to security officer to wait staff at the restaurant greeted you with a smile and kind words upon entering and leaving. You hardly see good customer service anymore so it was refreshing. Thank you.

Reserved a parking spot showed up no spots available. got with mgr said to cold to go out see if I could find another spot and we will call it good. did not pay to call it good paid for a spot 7 trucks in front row easy for the wife so she does jot have to walk far. this is happening more and more going back to TA truck stops.

Its always so clean & stocked full. Also, all the employees greated me cheerfully & a smile when I walked in. My wait was not long, had at least 4-5 employees working the register so they got customers out in a timely manner. 5 stars for such a massive parking lot! Plus its always pretty clean inside, one of my best pilots just because of such a big parking lot, that I can pull in after dark and still find easy parking. The restaurant inside is good, But I really wish it had a fast food option. Or really, just more food options in general. Still a go to spot for me when driving this route.

This Flying J has been our regular stop between Michigan & Chicago for 20 years. It’s always friendly, clean bathrooms & variety of treats...not to mention the best gas prices. I was horrified when we stopped recently. No one was wearing masks. Not only the cashiers but the patrons which included mostly truck driver were not wearing masks. Flying J should be insisting drivers wear masks and for their employees safety, they should have masks or a plexiglass shield.Who know where these truck drivers are coming from??? Detroit??? This is real. These drivers and you are infecting hundreds of people. Unless I hear you have made a change, we won’t be stopping.

We stopped here at this Flying J and representative named Venus, she was very rude towards us, I regret so much stopping here! Next time I will choose TA or MR FUEL!Message to Venus: You dont own this place so please fix your facking attitude next time!

This is one of the best run Flying Js in the country. It is always spotlessly clean. They keep the fuel islands immaculate.All of the staff go out of their way to be friendly. The store is clean, inviting and well stocked. The food is always great. This will be my go to Truck Stop when Im in the area. Thanks!

Always the nicest place to stop . Everyone is so nice and helpful. I get the soup great keep ya going food . The first time I stopped in early they had oatmeal and biscuits and gravy. I would recommend this Flying J to anyone .

Five stars for nice people and giant lot. Zero stars for boiling hot water coming from showers every time someone flushed a toilet. I had to jump out like 6-7 times lol

Went for a truck wash. Several vehicles ahead of me, but the line moved incredibly fast. And still they did a wonderful job. 4 open bays sped up the process.

Pretty decent if you can navigate all the local trucks that live there. Staff are friendly and fairly quick. Mens room above average for cleanliness. Shower was clean and no wait in the early AM.

A little of a lot. Late night Walgreens is closed kinda place. Dont forget your wallet, your gonna need it, but chances are they do have it. Gas price is a little below average on a consistent basis.

This was a perfectly adequate and fairly clean truck stop. Friendly service. Probably has everything you need.Accidentally ended up here because the entrance to our highway was closed, so a good rescue spot while we figured out what direction we were headed in.

Always clean. Staff is always polite. And food offerings are always very good as well! Love the meatloaf!!!! Have everything you could want and or need. By far my favorite stop in that area for a fill up and road snacks etc

Great place for those long cross country trips. They are always well lit and as a woman who does some long trips they are always a welcome site in the middle of the night. Lots of gas pumps, snacks and beverages, also a lot of stalls in the restroom and clean to boot! Lots of parking and ample room to walk my dogs.

Ive read reviews that there is not a RV dump station at this location. There is indeed an RV dump station with non-potable water at this location. It costs $10 and is located behind the main building in front of the truck diesel pumps. You must go in and pay first. They will then give you a code to use that opens the lid so you can dump. The service person was friendly and the dump station was easy to get to and was in good working order.

The food was good, the sedation was excellent, was out about 12 hrs. Woke up my wallet was cleaned out of that green trash, plus my truck was cleaned out of all the green trash, excellent service. They must of enjoy watching over me as I slept . Looking forward to my next trip through there. God bless

Its nice. Seems sanitary and all but where its located could be better. When driving, riding a bike, or walking be cautious of traffic. From the last time i saw it it was under construction..

The long, dark haired lady at the register had the kitchen cook me some hot food since their deli had just expired...their Dennys is also open but I wasnt aware until later bcuz most are closed after 8pm! The store is clean, and security is vigil! I was made to feel very much more better bcuz its been rough for us truckers finding hot food at night! We stopped on our way to Michigan from Wisconsin. We had ordered some pizza to go and man was it good. They had a deal for a whole pie to good to refuse! I also recommend the Cinabon for a sweet treat. The bathrooms were clean as well O would definitely stop again!

Ive been going to Flying J Centers for about a decade. This center is one of the best. Cleanest, well-stocked.

Very clean facility...bathrooms are always sparkling clean. There is a McDonalds and Subway inside (McDonalds has a drive thru). There are showers available. Everyone is friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend them as a stop on your trip. I always stop, coming or going. Always a smiling face to be had.

Seems like a good place with all the amenities youd expect from a full truck stop. We only stop by to get something to eat on the way back from Chicago, and use the restroom, but they had a good selection of food for truckers that can take a shower, and they are totally set up for big rigs to refuel.

Advertised prices are not what you are charged! Be careful upon checkout!! Better yet, go to Pilot next door! Even after showing advertised price to management they STILL won’t honor the price!! Stay away!

Friendly staff and has RV fuel lanes with lots of room. The only negative that I have is that this location consistently has the highest fuel prices in the state. I feel they overcharge for fuel.

I like pilot and flying J but I dont like their diesel.It is very bad quality.

Love the way the place has been remodeled for easy access to all fuel islands by type. Though driving a tractor trailer, I do need gasoline for my generator. Its the easiest location to get gas, pull through and top off diesel and DEF. Generally, the wait at the counter is significantly less than other pfj locations.

I prefer flying j over pilot due to more parking spaces. However, theyre both usually clean and nice staff

This is our usual stop before heading into Chicago - takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the city, depending on traffic. Gas prices are generally good, might be a few cents less a few stops closer in, but this location is convenient, has clean restrooms, and is easy on/easy off.
