If I could give this company zero stars, I would! I’m so unhappy with the installation and measurements of my sliding glass doors! The only good thing about this company is Dennis, my sales rep. He’s been helping me through my issues more than anyone else! The man has the most amazing customer service! However, the project manager (Jessica) has made it clear that my issues with the measurements of my doors are none of her concern and not her responsibility to fix. Instead, she blames Dennis and says the measurement crew was correct in the measurements. How can it be when I have 1 inch shims on BOTH sides of my doors? This makes them smaller than the originals and my family has to go sideways to get out of our home. I explained this to Jessica and I was told because the inspection passed, that she has nothing more to do with any of my issues. She refuses to help me find someone who can help me and it was a bear to even get her to respond to me before then during my many issues of DAMAGE to my home during installation. The installation crew returned to fix the issues thankfully. The installation crew told my husband that they should’ve suggested French doors because the doors were measured incorrectly and too small for the space. I can’t seem to get a response from anyone. They don’t seem to care about their customers and I’m being ignored. I’ve had more stress than this place is worth. I just want my correctly measured doors! I wanted more windows put into my home, but NOT with THIS company! I’ll go with another! I highly recommend going with another company. If you don’t want stress, that is!UPDATE: Contract says the measurement of our doors are to be 48x80 and our doors measure 45x78! They refuse to fix it even though it’s on a SIGNED CONTRACT! I contacted the company again only to end up speaking with Jessica, who would rather say I’m wrong than have someone come out to check the measurements one more time or have the doors replaced to my satisfaction. The VP of sales will not contact me back and no one seems to care that I’m an upset customer. I should’ve listened to the reviews and the LAWSUIT they had years ago! Now I’m looking into my own legal representation as they do not want to adhere to their own “guarantees”.

Just bought new impact windows from Florida Window and Door and Andrew Barone was our sales representative. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. We were very lucky to get someone who worked hard to get us exactly what we wanted for best price out of all of our quotes. Found ways to save us money that no one else had shown us. He was a 10/10 and we are thrilled about getting our new windows.

I am very happy with their job. Middle of pandemic they delivered as planned or kept me posted about details. No one is perfect, all impact doors so far finished in December are good. Let’s wait for Hurricane season hoping we are ready. They are professional, and I like the Quality of their job. I do value a good supplier and deserve to be scored fairly.

We were anxiously awaiting the completion of some impact windows that we ordered through Florida Window and Door, and had them installed in our home today. It was a great experience.The crew chief called ahead of time to provide me with an estimated time of his arrival which was within the window of time I was originally given.The crew chief, Manuel, was extremely polite and professional. He explained what would be done and set his crew to work. They were very respectful of me personally and of my home. They took care to protect flooring in the areas they were working and to minimize any damage to the surrounding area of the windows. I anticipated some degree of drywall work after the installation (due to the disclaimers on the contract) and found that there wasnt any. Aside from a few paint nicks, the house looks the same as it did before the crew arrived.The crew itself was also polite and very efficient and worked like a well oiled machine. Everyone had a specific task and completed the job in much less time than I anticipated.When the crew was done, the Crew Chief had me inspect each window with him to ensure I was satisfied with the work.He thanked me for the opportunity to work in my home, cleaned up the areas they worked, and left. He was very professional.The windows themselves seem excellent so far. They function easily and I notice that my home seems quieter than it did before as a result.I was very pleased overall and would recommend this company to others looking for impact windows.

My contract was signed on 1/9/2020. The order was never placed. Order was to be placed again in March and again it didnt happen. I requested cancelation and refund of my 4,200 deposit. I purchased the products elsewhere . They placed the order anyway. I lost my deposit, but Im satisfied with the purchase I made elsewhere.

We hired Florida Window and Door to install Hurricane windows and sliders. They were timely and very professional. They arrived early Monday morning and I was shocked it only took four days. On the fifth day, the city inspector came down and we passed inspection on the first visit. I was travelling and they contacted me every day to give me an update and discuss the installation. Not just Manuel, who was the lead installer (who was excellent!), but also the installation manager. They patched any crack created from removing the windows and left the house very clean and neat. The covered all the furniture and did a great job of not disrupting any window coverings. First class operation all around. I definitely recommend them.

Despite the pandemic, I gave several allowances for pushing my delivery date back and back and back.My salesperson was the only good experience with this company and one other person; Julio - their Inspector Communicator.Upon failing the first inspection, I was called this morning to notify me of a follow-up inspection with less than 24 hours notice (and NO offer to come fix Any of my issues that were documented 3 weeks ago AND No contact since the failed inspection)The installer (Goudy) is the absolute worst in communication, argumentative and borderline aggressive.Bottom line - the door is NOT to my satisfaction and I have a second inspection in the morning. Im giving it 50/50 on passing!Plus, they threatened me (I will be fined and responsible for the Re-Inspection Fee if I am not available for this inspection scheduled WITHOUT my consultation) when I asked to change the inspection to the following day (so it wouldnt conflict with an International Business Call I have scheduled during my Inspection window)I would give them Zero Stars if I was allowed!!!!-------[updated 2 weeks later....]Did NOT pass Inspection, had to return again - this time with the Installer Supervisor and this is the quality of work with the Supervisor observing... door screw can be pulled out with my own fingers.In conclusion, if this is Their Best Installer and Supervisor, this company is TERRIBLE!

I signed my project before the hurricane season began, under a pandemic with an offer by the representative that the project would be ready in 3 months maximum and I still do not have a definite date, possibly in November. They never call me to give me an update on the project, until now they are not who they say they are in quality and service to the customer.

The company did install the impact doors, the owner(Scott Berman), changed the name of the company to avoid the litany of complaints and lawsuits filed against the company. I have the building permit to prove they installed the doors. Nice try amd good luck to you with all the lawsuits!

This is absolutely the least professional company I have ever dealt with. Its been 6 months and I am still waiting on the windows. You cannot get a straight answer from anyone at the company. Save yourself a lot of aggravation. Dont choose Florida Window & Door.

We are really amazed by the installation team. They were so detailed and super clean. Our project manager was very responsive. We were changing the size of two windows (the work was going to be done by another contractor) and Florida Window & Door worked with us by starting the job one day and coming back to finish after the other contractor had finished. Compared to Home Depot, the price was great too! The sales guy oversold the windows on the amount we could save on our light bill but I’d still recommend to others. Passed inspection on the first visit, the inspector even said that Florida Window and Door knew what they were doing.

Well, we ordered 13 identical sized impact windows with the promise of install in 8-12 weeks. The salesman was really good and convincing about the install dates, the follow up by the company if there was an issue, and about the “great” reputation of the company. Best conman I’ve ever met. Fast forward 20 weeks later, and install begins. I’m one of the luck ones and had a great install crew. The person I referred to Florida Window and Door has had an absolutely traumatic experience and after multiple installer, failed inspections, bad trim applications, horrible caulking, etc, he still hasn’t had the issues resolved. But that’s a different story. As far as mine, the install went great, the crew was great, and passed inspection with flying colors in Port Saint Lucie which has stringent requirements just like Miami-Dade. You are not allowed to do exterior trim or interior caulking until AFTER the final inspection so that they can verify a proper installation. Well this is where things fell apart. I got a call a couple days later to get the caulking and exterior trim completed. They were to show up on Friday at noon. I took half a day off from work to be there. They were a NO CALL NO SHOW. On Monday I commenced a series of phone calls to at least 10 different numbers for Florida Window and Door. Left multiple messages and over 3 DAYS, no return calls. At the end of day 3, Chris finally answered the phone. He claimed that he had no idea that the installers never showed up and completed the job. He advised he would call me back the following day, Thursday. We are now on Monday and guess what, no call!! I’ve tried again calling multiple numbers and no one answers!! What’s worse is that funding for the project was released to Florida Window and Door the day the Final inspection was complete. So now, I have payments for something that wasn’t completed!! Seriously!! This company is absolutely horrible and I advise you to stay FAR FAR AWAY!!! From the salesman down, nothing but liars. Now I have to pay money out of my pocket to complete the job and spend MY TIME doing it.

John Crockenberg is very knowledgeable! He answered every single question throughout the entire process. He should be rewarded for going above and beyond helping me select our doors and windows. We are very pleased with the quality of work the installers Gustavo B. And crew did! The entire process with covid shut downs and back orders was not easy and took patients to cope with but you guys got it done! Thanks

The sales rep that came to sign us up showed us merchandise on an iPad and he made a mistake when writing the model number to the door in his paperwork. He did not leave us with a catalog as we only say it when choosing the items on his iPad, so we could not verify this information on the paperwork and trusted it was what we picked. I waited over 4 months to have widows and doors installed (hurricane impact). I invested over $27,000 in this project and when it finally was time for installation, 2 of our windows came cracked and with a factory defect and we received a door we did not choose originally. I was then told that it would take another 4 weeks or so for replacement windows. We were charged $19,000 for 12 windows when we only have 11 windows. When I brought it up to the Quality Control Coordinator (Robert Smith), we were sent another breakdown with the 11 windows at the same rate as the 12 windows! To top it off, the sub contractors that they hired to install my windows and doors did not know what they were doing. They broke part of my wall to fit my sliding door (which was incorrectly measured by them) and then did not fix the damaged edges. They did not leave the site ready for paint and instead slapped a lot of cement on the wall and left it chunky and sloppy looking. They put caulking on top of the black frame of the windows that we spent $19,000 on! I emailed Robert again and called him to confirm that my pictures/videos were received which he said yes to but did not hear back from him until the next business day. In which he only addressed the incorrect door received and basically said that if we wanted another door, we have to purchase it. I have never received such horrible customer service. If you want to make a good investment, please go to another place that will value you as a paying customer and give you good customer service with honor and respect. Go somewhere that if there is a mistake or a damage, they will do what they can to make you feel that you went to the right place for your business. I wish I got that from this place and regret making this investment here. As a Veteran, I am absolutely disgusted that this business could not do right by me.

We inquired about an estimate (which was free) and Rick Rossetti showed up on time! Other companies I called never even called me back.Rick was very informative about the different options they provide, and he wasnt pushy at all which I appreciated. If he had been I probably would have stopped the appointment half way through. He worked with us to get the best price possible. Theres a 100% guarantee or money back. No other company offers that. Needless to say Im confident that the final product/job will be to our satisfaction!

Very happy with the quality of the windows and doors as well as the service. They made the process of HOA approval and permitting very smooth. There were some delays in delivery of the product but this was expected due to covid. Gustavo and the installation team were very efficient and professional, completing the install in just a few days. House is already cooler and the AC runs less. Very satisfied with this purchase.

We signed in April 2021 for installation of our hurricane windows (5). In the beginning all went as planned, paperwork and measurements! But then after that there was a lack of communication! They do not communicate with you on a regular basis to let you know what is going on! Everything was delayed several times! Delays happen BUT communicate so the customer is updated with details! We planned a re-Finace on our home working with the dates we had, and that didn’t happen! Messed everything up on my re-fi!!!! With that all said when we finally got our windows installed, ( sept, 2021) the install was great! The guys did a wonderful job!If you choose this company, you will need to call them on a regular basis so you are aware of the progress! The windows did come out beautiful! The Process just takes way too long!!

The installers didnt speak much English. So hard to ask questions. They were very professional. The work was great. This was a 3 man crew. 7 windows and a door install. I have wood frame with stucco. Great workmanship. Arrived at 10:15am and finished at 6pm with a rain delay.

Im very satisfied with the level of polished skill and workmanship! I likewise am in love with my full-length glass front doors. Better than I anticipated. The crew we had to do the installation was extremely expert, brief, and tidied up wonderfully. Would enthusiastically recommend Florida Window & Door!

I’ve emailed multiple times called in multiple times for service on my DFD for the past year, that I paid a lot of money for, no one has followed through with my complaints.The sales rep (Ernest Biel) came out and asked me if I wanted my doors to open the exact way they open already and I said yes. At this time I clearly had no idea the meaning of left and right active.However, somewhere they have on the order that everything was to be LA on my contract and now the door that should be my active door is my stationary door.This is causing conflict on how Utilize the space on my patio.The fact I haven’t been contacted after my multiple emails and phone calls shows this company does not care about their customers.In the beginning someone called to explain the LA and RA and was to follow up with me on what could be done and there was never a follow up. Prior to submitting this review (July 2021) I emailed one last time my concerns and still no response.I already had to wait to get my installation which they blamed on COVID. I placed my order in June 2020 and didn’t receive installation until October 2020.I regret ever doing business with this company. Contacted Florida window and door after meeting with several other companies and just like anyone would be I was very skeptical until I went to the Lake Worth headquarters to ask the management a few questions of mine even after meeting with a sales rep at my home on a purchase of a impact slider . The process took a few months (hoa, permitting,production and install) to complete a lot due to Covid delays but 2 guys came day of install and really did one heck of a job and 3 days after the install was complete the slider passed inspection by city on 1st shot .My experience I had encountered was good at Florida window and door it was a pleasure doing business and I will be more than happy to recommend but for your own personal knowledge they will not tell you this any impact sliders in state of Florida by code will not keep water out your home water will come in the track even during a rain storm and is designed to drain out weepholes if it reaches a certain flood level or pressure your home will be wet so please keep that in mind when you buy the sliders if they told you this they would probably sell a quarter of sliders in this state. We had a really bad rain storm and I said omg the track has water in it well it’s designed too you would think they would make it completely secure but not the case will only keep the winds out and family safe so keep in mind even if not in flood zone and you get hurricanes if your purchase one these doors you best add flood insurance and that is only reason I went from 5star to 3 not one person ever mentioned this to me before install /but I’m still glad I installed slider so my whole home is now impact

My encounter with the sales representative went quite well. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The workers were also professional and polite. My issues started after installation when things started to go wrong. I had them install four door and approximately 10 windows. Two of the doors locks do not completely cover the hole that they are inserted, leaving a gap between the door knob and the door frame. One doors does lot latch unless I lock it and another door doesnt easily lock and you have to jiggle it.My main problem is not the poor craftsmanship as much as it is the lack of responsiveness to call and messages left. I tried calling them a month ago, left a message, no return call. Called them again, was asked how old the job was, and I told them it was done in April (this is the month of July). Now remember, I called a month ago and no-one called me back. I was transferred to the service department two times, leaving two messages and no one has called me back as of yet.I have other work to be done at other properties, but will not be using this company.

The website says they service Orlando. I sent an email stating where in Orlando I live. Waited 5 days, never received a reply back. I called and was told you are out of our service area. It would have been nice to have received an email reply. It would be better if it was indicated, on the website, the zip codes service was offered in, so as to not waste everyones time. Too simple!

Worst company for window installation ! Do yourself a favor and search for other options.Sales person came to our house, did his lamp demonstration stuff, and promised an installation in less than eight weeks. My high impact patio doors were installed after 10 months! I did call them every week, and no one even bother to gave me a straight answer about the delay.Personally, it is hard for me to believe that this company still is operating and having a lot of great 5 stars review.

I am happy with the product and the installation. The installers were great and went above and beyond, even adding additional security measures to my house. The windows are great so far and are nice and thick and block out outside noises, and make my house look newer!

Top notch company! The people in the office were excellent to work with and very professional – Anita, Shawn & Lisa in the Install dept, and Courtney in status. Having dealt with other companies in the past, it’s a very nice feeling to deal with a company that is large enough to have different departments to deal with those specific areas. The window and door installation process is a very specialized process involving people that specialize in each area along the way.Installation – Gaudys! He is the window and door man! When the install team arrived, I was expecting 3 or 4 guys or so, but 2 arrived. My fears were quickly erased because these 2 people had a system, and they were good. Gaudys was the installer and the 2nd guy (Goyo – I know I have his name wrong) was the one setting up, getting tools, and cleaning up. I liked that one person concentrated on the install and the other one was concentrated on the job site and supplying the installer. Having experience with installing doors, I had a lot of appreciation into the level of expertise Gaudys had. He as was very fast, efficient and on top of it all it was done correctly. From installing the bucking and all the concrete screws, the leveling and squaring of the windows and doors, all the screws that attach the windows and doors to the house, the mullions (double and triple windows), caulking, etc. I know that my windows and doors are not going anywhere, and they are not going to leak.I would use this 2-person team on any job.Money - We went with the no interest finance option so that we didn’t have to outlay a lot of cash before the windows even arrived. We loved it. We had the cash, but we didn’t want that uneasiness of giving a company a lot of cash and waiting 3 months. The finance company they partner with is more than a finance company. They are also of consumer advocate. They are excellent. At the end, they call and ask a lot of questions about the installation and whether you are happy or not. They release the funds based on the job being completed to the satisfaction of the customer. Florida Window and Door is confident enough to have such a partnership.I will update this review in the future to let you know how their follow up is.They have all kinds of perks, one of them is they will replace a broken window for free. It includes being broken by a hurricane, or by accident. That is for life and its transferrable. They have other warranties as we well that cover all other issues. They are a large company, so they will be around. 😊I posted the 2 hardest openings for my install - The French door and the Triple Window. Take notice to how the 3 windows are aligned and square and how nice and tight together they are. Also the French door opens and closes perfectly. The doors make contact with the gasket exactly the same all the way around, which is also a sign of square and level.

I have desperately trying to reach and find solution for a double door installation, a single front door is planned for installation this Friday.The problem is very simple, we have ordered single door, no doubts but looking into it definitely is better to install a double door, not a problem, believe the return of the single door already ordered and re-order a double could not be a problem and costly since manufactures has a large business with Florida windows and doors. I had proposed several solutions, but only NO, NO, NO from their side.I have reached sales representative, no decision maker, product manager, told me to proceed with install what we have and then will see how to improve, promise me to send an email which i have never never received, and of course after installation we all know will be no option or solution, running out of the problem and no concerns. He mentioned that city permits maybe not allowing it, so walking around neighborhood is a fact double doors are allowed, then mentioned the wall material,build with drywall and fake door attached, so it should not be a problem, then mentioned that for some reason it was transformed to a single in the past,,,, basically the message was simple,, there is no care as long product sold and shipped and ready for installation. and no concerns about your problem.also trying to re-connected with quality manager, no response after our conversation by phone yesterday, left a message today.Also escalated to the CEO, no picking the phone and or retuning my messages after several tries thru different ladies in the office that clearly blocked the escalation at least one time by a lady in HR, yes in HR... plus disrespectful saying no time to talk with me.I want to be very clear again,, Im not running away for what I have ordered, but clearly doesnt fit the expectation before installation next Friday, we can correct this thing while we have time and make it look better. but solutions, options, are inexistent right now after all i did and explain above.photos were share with Florida windows team already. can you imagine a how a single door is going to look?PS Im a recurrent customerWhat was very impressive and definitely needs the highest recognition, are the team who works on the other windows and sliding doors installation last week, amazing!!!! Simply Amazing! Ray was our salesman and we couldn’t be happier. He was thorough, professional, and extremely knowledgeable on impact windows and the process involved. Great guy with a great company. I read some of these reviews and laugh because they have got to be false. They almost made me go elsewhere. So glad I went with my gut instinct.

Florida Window & Door are a local business that we wanted to support. They were very quick with getting a sales rep out to us and provide a quote. We put a few thousand dollars down on the spot to get the process going, and were promised 8-12weeks for the job to be done. After waiting for about three months without hearing from them we called and got the run around for basically another three months. The doors and windows were finally installed and the three man crew did a good job at first sight.May be under promise and over deliver next time…

This company charged me for installation windows and according to the contract they should have installation in 8-16 weeks.During the next 4 months nobody contacted with me. After I called them I got text response that it is with the manufacturer already. In a week they send me email asking how to return my money back no explanation.Looks like I gave them my money ( and my personal information) as loan.Never use this company. I am not sure what type company is this?Reverse Financial, Scam or may be something else. Definitely they dont have anything to do window installation.

The initial meeting was excellent. Two people came to discuss the process and how their company installs hurricane sliding doors. They were very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. We knew it would take about 8-10 weeks until installation could begin. So around mid-end of June. This was absolutely fine with us.We had a call one day towards the end of May saying they could come the next day to install. I did not think this was okay because that was such short notice. This happened twice over the next 10 days and I said it had to wait because of being so last minute and I didn’t have anyone to be there during installation. And they’d originally said it wouldn’t be until June. The lady I spoke to wasn’t too great. She didn’t call back or confirm the real installation date. There was a lot of miscommunication between her, my husband and myself. She told him one date and time and me another date and time for installation so we didn’t know what day to expect them. Then I received a text with another date! Luckily I was home during all these days so the work could begin.The workers were wonderful and did a fantastic job with our new sliding door. It was a very quick process.I am glad we used this company, but their customer service/office staff needs to be better and make sure all communication is accurate and correct to everyone they speak to.

Working with Florida Window was a great and easy. They were very responsive and communication was great. Quality is top notch, the windows and door were fantastic and the crew was very clean and tidy. Had a small issue with the door lock and they repaired and handled very quickly. Awesome company to get your impact windows done.

It is very unfortunate that I did not perform a enough research on this company. Its been almost a year now and we still do not have our window. Every time we call there is another excuse. Why are we having to call? Complete lack on communication. They have our money and we received nothing in return. I found multiple complaints on the Better Business Bureau website!!!! Please DO NOT make the same mistake we did. Look at all the reviews on the BBB website!

Unfortunately my experience with Florida window and doors was terrible. I finally cancelled the windows. Months and month of nothing. They were supposed to be installed in August. I call to check on timing and the windows were never ordered. I could never get anyone to fix the issues or deal with the problems. They just wouldnt call back. I even went to the office to talk to them about the issues. Cancelling was the only option. They did cancel the order and give my deposit back.

You should be last in the nation for customer service. We ordered windows for our Beach house in Daytona Beach Shores April 29th They were supposed to be installed in August. Its October now and nobody at your company can tell us when the windows will be be installed. Very unprofessional.

Very impressive operation. Nice showroom, experienced installation crew and there was an issue with one of my window locks from the factory but it was corrected the final day of my installation by their in house service staff. Wayne did a precise and neat job and went out of his way to make sure hed explained exactly what he repaired and showed me how to properly operate my hurricane locks

We had our final inspection today and passed! Install Team Lester was incredible. very clean and professional. We did have an issue with our French door from the manufacturer, but it was addressed promptly and Amy gave me updates regularly until it arrived. It was a little frustrating but the company lived up to their guarantee. Very pleased with the look of my home! Amy said something about sending out Cookies too? I should have known something was wrong when the salesman was no longer with the company.Big turnover with the employees....I was told the windows would take 2 months to receive but it was almost a year.The men that did the installation were so sloppy, windows leeked,the locks did not work and the screen doors do not lock so they slide back and forth with the wind. I have to have the porch repainted because of all the mess they made.(Scab labor) was used for sure.I called the owner Scott Berman not once BUT 4 times, wrote a lettering never heard a word.I bet when he started his business in 1983 he returned customers phone calls.They missed appointments and never called to say were not going to show up .We have not had a heavy rain fall so not sure if the windows leek or not but I will keep you posted.For you own sanity I would NOT use this company EVER,]....

WARNING TO ALL CONSUMERS!!Do not bother calling or getting quotes from here!! Overpriced, late and barely any support!!I had this company install windows and doors for my entire house. They were late on their delivery and installation, they overcharged us and the quality of the installation was extremely poor!Now they do not even have enough support to take care of sealing issues. All the flooring by the entrances for all doors has now warped due to the lack of the sealant. And now they are routing me to a voicemail that never gets answered!! How unprofessional!This company needs to get it together! And shame on them for such bad customer service!

Good work, we have 18 windows and a front door. Done in 2 1/2 days. Windows strait and functional. Minor touch ups. Permit process smooth. The front door wasn’t primed as they said. Grade 92%

I love my windows and doors. The entire experience from the sales rep explaining the product choices to the installation team has exceeded my expectations.

The install of my front door was rejected by the inspectors 3 times in July 2020. It is now November 2020. I had to call several times (voicemails are ignored) until I was able to get in touch with someone. I finally received a contact for a supervisor and I have started emailing to ask for updates weekly. I usually dont get an answer, but when I do, I always get the excuse that they are sending it back to the permitting department that day...... except when I check with the permitting department... there is no record of any movements or details of additional requests.They now say that they are trying to do me ad favor by not inconvenicing me by removing the incorrectly installed door..... after 3 months it is becoming clear that they would just prefer to ignore me and hope I go away.Stay away from Florida Window and Door if you want a normal front entryway and actual hurricane protection instead of the incorrectly installed eyesore that I have.Edit on 02/04/2021 (no change, door still held together with shims):11 months since I placed my order6 months since the third failed inspection1 month since I have received an update from anyone at Florida Window and Door.The company wants to blame the building department, but at some point I hope they would take responsibility for their failure to do the job right the first, second or third time. Their inability to pull a permit and their complete failure to keep the customer informed.Edit on 08/19/2021 - Project completed on August 11, 2021 more than 1 year after the original failed inspection.In the past year Florida window and door failed 5 inspections and wasted my time on two other occasions because they showed up to an inspection without paperwork or when the permit was expired. I dealt with no less than 5 representatives at the company and because they just generally ignored me I started calling every number, and emailing every contact continuously until someone responded. In the end I had to file complaints with the Florida Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau and the contractor licensing board in order to get this job completed.This process has been a nightmare and I wouldnt wish this frustration on anyone. Whatever you do, avoid this company.On a positive note, they did refund $500 in exchange for me notifying the contractor licensing board that the job was completed.Also, the final installer, Jesus, did an outstanding job and cleared up the issues that are displayed in the pictures.

The installation crew was respectful of our home. The process from scheduling an appointment to discuss the purchase of windows to installation was very professional. Very happy with the installation and the windows.

I was going to wait until the job was done to post, and whenever that is, I will update. I signed docs early February, got my final measurements Feb 20th, paid my deposit late February. I was told to expect end of May installation. Ive called to check in multiple times only to be told the windows are still in production and there are no updates. I finally gave up trying to get an answer from the sales guy and called the office to be told September the company would be receiving the windows in. Who knows when theyll actually be installed. Certainly not before hurricane season like I was told. Im hoping like some of these other reviews once the work is done that Ill be happy but Im doubtful so far. I wish I had taken more time to read others reviews before signing. I will update more as this saga continues.

We could not be happier with the installation team! Gustavo B. and his team are professional, polite, neat, and organized. Their efficiency and attention to detail have surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend this company, their office personnel was great at coordinating the process and their installers are knowledgeable and extremely competent. Wonderful experience overall!

To many issues to print. Just want the job completed correctly. Waited for an engineer after second failure. Now the company states they will not be furnishing one. Now threatening a lien on my home. This with permit still open and inspector stating what an engineer needs to do.

Just spoke with Melanie (appointment coordinator)- she was informative, patient, and kind. If you are lucky enough to get her on the phone she will assist the best way she can. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Must read all the reviews and believe all the negative ones. They are true. I cannot believe this company is still in business. Do as much research on this company before you continue to do business with them. There are many other companies out there that our trustworthy and will do what they say.

The team was wonderful. They cleaned all the glass, inside and out. They vacuumed the carpet and tile before they left. We can recommend them.

Service and correspondence were remarkable during the requesting process and when windows were fit to be installed. Im very satisfied with the finished product and its establishment, I will suggest them.

They arrived early, very professional and cleaned up when completed. They installed 9 windows in 1 day and the next day past inspection. One track needed to be ordered due to it breaking during installation. So far has taken about two weeks but was informed concerning proximate arrival of the window track and install.

Florida window and door came when they were supposed to, we’re extremely professional, and we’re immaculate. Gustavo and his team of installers were amazing. When they were finished every chip or hole was repaired good as new. If you’re in the market for impact windows and doors there isn’t a better company. And you couldn’t ask for a better installer than Gustavo.

Installed our 2 sliding doors on behalf of the condo association. Salesman Paul is the reason for the 5 star review. He kept his promise in that if any issues to contact him and he is there to help. Weeks after the sale it came to a point we had to do that as there was a barrier related to getting the permit pulled (no one would follow up to what delay was, Anita included and I had to do the follow up with the city.) Once I knew the permit was ready (because I contacted City) I contacted Anita who responded it would be another week or more and install dept would call me, there was no way we were going to wait another week or two as it was already a few weeks past what date we were originally told. One phone text to Paul and the install date was scheduled by the next day! He really did what he’d say he’d do. The install crew was fair, I do feel we had to keep an eye on them to make sure they were going to build up any gaps with wood, as until I mentioned that, it didn’t seem like they were not as it takes more effort and time. So just be sure you understand the importance of what needs to happen behind what’s being installed (unless inspector sees mid install which most do not, most don’t come to inspect until after). The post coordination of inspection and quality of doors etc all went very smooth, and again Paul the salesman who coordinated everything and stepped in when others were not moving along as should, was amazing! He also got the measurements done extra quickly. Thank you Paul for honoring your word, a true professional!

Our experience with Florida Window & Door was a little of a roller coaster. In general, they were a professional company; as with all services of the kind, once the sales person has closed the deal, you are just another customer. There were some team members who really stood out and did their best to provide a memorable experience.Our sales person, Jason was nice; he went on to also sell my parents an upgrade on their windows.The permits team was great, they handled everything. The only time I had to get involved was with my HOA b/c they dont do business with outside parties.Lisa, in installations, was amazing! Once the product arrived at the warehouse, she got us on the schedule to install the very next day.Lastly, Dominique, the project manager - without her, Id have lost my sanity. She works day and night and promptly returned every email and phone call she received from me.Why not 5-stars...1. Timing and Lack of CommunicationWe placed our window order in October 2020 with an estimate to have them installed between January and March 2021. The product did not arrive until May 2021. Unfortunately, once the permit work is done and product has been ordered I didnt hear back from the company at all. No follow up, or status on my order, nothing.2. Product Installation and InspectionTwo glass panes arrived cracked, installer said it would be no problem, placed the replacement order, but went ahead to schedule inspection. By Florida law the installer should have been at the property while the inspector reviewed the work, he wasnt. The inspector did not pass the project, and pointed out the screws that should have been drilled through on the window borders but werent. The installer came back the next day and tightened everything, but we were still left with two cracked panels.3. Lack of Communication - AgainOnce again, while we waited for the new panels, there was no communication, no order confirmation emails, nothing. This I think was the worst part of the experience. It doesnt take much to set up an automated service to keep the client informed on whats going on.During the entire process, which finally came to a close mid-July, the only way I could get any information was by contacting the project manager - and to find out who it was, took an army of people and getting passed from person to person, department to department. Once I found her I was able to get answers to all my questions, but till then, there were a lot of unanswered questions and waiting in limbo.A huge thanks to Dominique Desir and Lisa in Installations who were both great.

Everything looks incredible. They take care of their work in an opportune way, were effective, worked extremely spotless, and generally speaking worked really hard.

Soon to be 8 months since I wrote my first check and the installation is still not complete. FW&D has passed off responsibility for the missing weather stripping, on one of three sets of impact glass sliding doors, to the manufacturer. But this will hopefully be the final chapter in our drama that included the wrong doors being ordered, and installed. The additional scheduling complications for the installation of the correct doors, minus weather stripping. That was preceded by misplacing our doors and showing up hours late to begin installation. Which was preceded by my intervention with city permitting office because FW&D had not completed their requirements for local permits. There has been no project manager with oversight responsibility and no one from FW&D, other than the independent contractor installation team, has ever been on site or, initiated a call to me. Not even to say we’re sorry or, thank you for spending $14k.

We were giving serious consideration to using this company after a visit from their sales team. We still had 1 more estimate to obtain before making a decision. Then they started calling nonstop pushing us to choose them. No matter how many times they called and were asked to stop they continued. Cant block because the calls keep coming from different numbers. They are no longer under consideration for this project.

I made an appointment to meet with a technician based on his schedule to survey and fix a leak involved with my sliding hurricane door to the balcony. This was scheduled over a week and a half ago. I waited for over two hours for his window opportunity to show. I called Window and Screen to complain that I had not heard from him today. He finally then sent me a text that said he would call me 30 minutes before arriving. I texted back reminding him of his schedule appointment time and asked if he could make it before 3:00PM (a hour after his window) and he said no! I have been waiting to hear from him since 11:30 AM. I sent him a text back and said dont come!! I want a business I can depend on, not some subcontractor that doesnt call me and tell me that he will not be able to make the appointment.

The installation of my windows and doors was amazing. However, the follow up inspection was not. I had to wait a month to get inspected. The city permit individuals came several of times and no one from this company came or they forgot. That is my only critique. Other than that, the approval and installation process went smoothly.

They get your info from somewhere then they will not stop calling and texting at all hours of the day and night. They also call and text from rotating numbers just like a spam bot. They refuse to stop texting when you tell them to stop, which is in violation of the state no robocall laws. This business has poor practices and ahould be avoided

This company is absolutely terrible. I was waiting until my doors were installed to rate, but after 8 months Ive lost my patience.In late July 2020, I received a flyer in the mail for impact resistant doors. Price was a little high to my liking, but given the security I opted for it. In November, I received a call stating my doors were ready for install, however the sales rep did not put in the change order that was made the day right after the order was placed for the front door. Since permitting did not allow for two of the three doors to be installed, I had no choice but to wait.Then, I get a call in January to confirm the front door. Yes, this company did nothing back in July and again in November. The rep wanted me to quickly fill something out to have the door ordered, i had to practically beg for him to come to the property to do the things correctly. Late January 2021, the front door was finally ordered.Today, March 10 makes 5 straight days Ive been trying to get a hold of installation to wonder when my doors will be installed. The rep is unresponsive to text messages and installation has a voicemail box that is the black hole.No customer service. I paid $500 as a down payment back in July and 8 months later still no doors. Their contract is unbreakable to I guess I have to continue waiting.Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. Absolutely terrible service.

Very happy with the quality of the work done. We’re “snow birds”, so especially with Covid, we had to trust them to do the right thing. When we finally got to see the completed job, I was “Wowed”. All the windows were completed in a professional manner, and they did a great job of cleaning up when they were done. It was a fifth floor, so all work was done from within. You’d never know they’d been there. They even put the blinds back up. Thank you for all your service.

My original review was taken down but signed with this company July 2020 and the job is still NOT FINISHED. This company has come out to my house 5 times and the job is still not finished. Their own paperwork talks about a refund of the job isn’t completed within so many times and I’ve yet to still hear back in regards to a refund. They need to replace ONE roller in a front window and it’s over a year now and the job isn’t complete. This is by far the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. Unprofessional, disgusting individuals.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever experienced.They never showed up to do the evaluation; never called; and when I called to ask where the tech was, after a 30 minute wait, they said they would call me back and never did!I had to drive 3 hours to be at that job site because they insisted the property owner had to be present for the evaluation.This company is a joke very unprofessional.

The worst company we have ever used! I would not recommend them to anyone. I started my windows a year ago and they still are not done. I have called countless amounts of times with no return from Shawn or Howard. I have even asked to speak with the owner and no response. I am now contacting the news because I am making payments to windows that are not complete. My next step is getting a lawyer. They do work without permits as well. Stay far away from this company.

Terrible, if you order widows from this company you better call for an update every single day.My wife and I decided to get impact windows installed a couple months ago. This company promised us installation by June, after sending all the paper work on timeI decided to get an update on the installation. To my surprise they hadnt even turned in the permit application to the city, as a matter of fact they had a hard time finding the application that I sign and sent months ago.Only God knows how long it will take now. The company hasnt even ordered my windows from the manufacturer.Overall terrible experience so far, ill update once this process is finished.

I received a free estimate for impact windows and doors. The Representative that came out, Mr. Dennis Wolf, was very professional and knowledgeable regarding the products. Mr. Wolf was very patient and detailed. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. If Mr. Wolf is an example of the entire company, I expect to be a very happy, satisfied customer.

I compared multiple companies for my impact windows and doors, and this one was by far the most honest, least pushy, and best deal on the block. On top of that, the Installers did an amazing job and the quality of the windows and doors are great. I would highly recommend them and so would the inspectors! Not a single issue with the inspection.

Vince, our salesman was very knowledgeable about the various products available at the time of our consultation and answered all of our questions. It did take a little over the promised estimated time frame of 8-12 for the windows and doors we ordered to arrive (I’m sure Covid-19 played a role in addition to supply and demand before Hurricane season) but once they were ready, the installation was scheduled and carried out quickly within the two days as promised. The installation techs were kind and seemed as though each had a great deal of experience in their craft. There’s only a couple of small things pending to be fixed (just finishing touches on our doors) but overall we’re very satisfied as the new windows and door are very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. We were promised that finishing touches would be taken care of soon and looking forward to that. My wife and I were nervous about this because it was such a big renovation. They could not have been more professional and top of every detail. Leading up to the installation they were responsive any time we had a question, there were no surprises. During the installation, which took two days, their crew — who work for them and are not outsourced — were incredible. They were efficient, clean and did a terrific job. It was painless. I had a minor issue with one of the windows after the fact that I didn’t notice on the walkthrough. I called the foreman on our job and he came back to fix it. Took him a couple of minutes and he drove out of his way to do it.I could not recommend this company more strongly to anybody considering it.

Do not use this company. Its been over a year and the job is still not done. They will pressure you to sign all the documents in order for them to get paid from ygrene. They messed up our sliding doors and that lady name Milenia Belliard emailed us and demanded extra money in order for them to finish the job. When you called them, theyll send you straight to voice mail.

What an awful company the people that work there sure know how to be professional but professional with no human decency it’s awful how we have no compassion in helping other people. Terrible company. They just lie about everything. 21 windows were installed by hacks. All windows fail inspection . Sloppy work. The crew didnt have know how to install them .the boss showed up and didnt see anything wrong. Every window had to be put in again. What a mess dont trust them .

I was skeptical when I first chose Florida Window and Door because of some inconsistencies in the online reviews that Ive read. Anyhow, Colleen was knowledgeable in going over the details to help me decide what was best for me. Honestly, they did a good job: Great work, professional installation. The installers worked well and very fast. However, the only thing I didnt like was the silicone they used to seal the windows, but I dont take that into account against FLWD since they seem used independent contractor for the installation. Other than that, everything was awesome. I look forward to working with FLWD soon for the rest of my project. Thank you! 100%.Recommended.

I had a great experience with Florida Window & Door replacing all the windows and patio sliding door on my house with Impact windows and door. The salesperson Gil who came to my house was very professional and knew a lot about the products. He was able to answer all of our questions. Their prices were reasonable. Once the order was placed, the project management team who took over the permitting, coordination with our HOA, taking measurements and coordinating the final inspection with the City of Weston, did an amazing job keeping me up-to-date throughout the process. Anita who was in charge of coordinating with the HOA did a great job helping me to resolve any issues that came up. The installation crew were very professional. They protected our furniture from dust and debris, cleaned up immediately the work areas as they went and completed the installation on schedule. we passed final inspection without any issues. I got lots of compliments on my new windows from my friends and neighbors. See the before (Original with grids) and after (New Impact without grids) pictures. I will hire Florida Window and Door again in the future if needed.

I paid for my windows in April and still no windows they couldnt make anything happen, its October 2021 still no windows poor communication, wont recommend this company to anyone they are all talk like all the other companies.

Great company to work with, if you are considering any form of window or door installation, its your first time and you are a bit skeptical.The process was painless and transparent. The staff and workmen/ contractors were prompt, professional, organized and very industrious.Not to mention the follow up every day after installation to ensure that you are satisfied with the installers that day.Trust me when I say they will get the job done, permitted and looking good, with no unwanted impact to your property. I was able to work from home while the work was done.I am absolutely pleased with the full replacement of all the glass windows and doors in my home (approximately 16 windows & 2 doors, in a 2 level house).Compared to other offers, Florida Window and Door makes their offering very affordable It is affordable for all.I would definitely recommend this company to do more work on my home or for any one else who is considering the move to upgrade to impact windows.Dwight Mercy
