Creative Refinishing does excellent, high-quality work. Ive had several pieces repaired and/or refinished and they always come back looking brand new. My furniture has been passed down from relatives, so it is sentimental to me and I fully trust Wayne and his team to take care of it. I wish more people would restore antique furniture rather than cover it with chalk paint.

I am so happy with the paint stripping and refinishing work completed by Creative Refinishing on a desk and secretary my husband and I brought to them. These two pieces of furniture, from the 1930s-1940s, needed a lot of work (paint inside and out, hinges and drawer pulls rusty). The original decorative drawer pulls were shined up, a new back to the secretary was put on and the stain colors applied were perfect. The owner and employee we interacted with were professional and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Wayne and team refinished an antique bed and 10 chairs for me. The bed had burled inlays that were cracked and broken. They meticulously pieced it back together and it looks amazing! They also cleaned away years of wax build up to let this beautiful piece shine again. The chairs had some missing molding and needed some general repair to bring them back to their original late 1800s glory. I drove 2 hours to find Creative Refinishing after submitting photos of my antique dining room set and buffet which had been sitting in a shed for 15 years. The first load, the dining table and chairs needed pieces made and a lot of love for them to be used again. I dropped them off and came back in two weeks with the buffet. The work they have completed so far is absolutely beautiful. The cane seats have been redone, the backs for the two chairs which needed to be rebuilt are complete and I could not tell the difference between their work and the original. I cannot wait for the next two weeks until completion. Please, check out Wayne and this business. What an awesome craftsman he is.

I chose this company because my mother in law used them to restore a wooden desk and they did a decent job. After talking with Wayne, I felt he was an honest person and would see the work done right. I tasked this company to remove a dent from a desk, repair (sand/paint) supports, replace the top, and general clean up of the desk. Though they did a good job on the top of the desk and decent job on the painting, the desk was not ready to be moved into my house. They had not cleaned it one bit. They called and said it was ready, when I came to pick it up the desk still had paper and trash in it. I removed the paper and trash. Since no one was available to help me load the desk, I took the drawers home. When I returned, Wayne was back and told me, It was bull@#$#@ that the drawers had not been cleaned because he did it personally. I had taken pictures of the dust and uncleanliness and showed them to Wayne. His response, Oh, I cleaned the outside, not the inside. I feel for the money I was charged and the agreement of the desk to be cleaned that I was not treated fairly. I had higher expectations after they installed the top, but after that it was as if they could not get rid of the desk fast enough. After paying full price, Wayne apologized for not cleaning it. His excuse was that he didnt know how long the desk was going to sit. To this, I say you called me Wednesday and said the desk was done. During this call, I said I would pick it up Friday. The desk should have been cleaned, but it was untouched. Highly disappointed with my experience with Wayne. Cost was too high for the service and in the end the agreement to what would be accomplished was not upheld.

Brought in a 100 year old trunk left with a 100 year old trunk that was like new

I own a moving company and we have used Creative Refinishing for several repairs. Theyve done very minor repairs of scratches and major work on pieces that were accidentally dropped. They do onsite repairs and have a shop too. They are professionals and their work is outstanding. You cannot tell a piece has been repaired when they are finished. I would recommend Wayne to anyone.
