First time visit the other day. Great atmosphere and selection of merchandise. First time in several years that Ive been in a comic book shop that felt right. I definitely recommend and will probably go broke there.😁

First time in the Lakeland location but it absolutely met my expectations especially compared to other comic collectible stores in the area. Staff was incredibly helpful, selection is outstanding, and tables galore for any gaming you could be interested in. Highly suggest when in the area!

Every employee weve ever dealt with had been so knowledgeable and friendly! My family and I love board games and card games and wanted to try RPG (role playing games) and the young guy with the blue hair helped us today (I didnt get his name). He answered all of my wifes many questions and helped us get what we needed to get started. They also have a rewards program which is cool because for every $100 spent you get $10 off your next purchase and you can accumulate them to save even more if youre wanting an expensive game. All said, this place is great for everything games and comics related! 10/10 recommend!

First time in this shop and it was a great experience. The staff members were very friendly. Ive been in too many other comic shops where youre treated lesser because you might not know something trivial about comics.This place wasnt like that. It has a cool vibe and they have a great selection of trades and wall books. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place. The parking is a bit painful, but their selection and staff are fantastic! Slightly on the high end for price but they have a card based discount program that makes up for it.

Great selection of comics and toys. They even ordered an item I was looking for from their Tampa store and had it brought to the Lakeland store for me to pick up.

Great store, very friendly staff. As of this writing, the address on Google is WRONG. They have moved. The phone number is accurate though, and the staff is well aware and very accommodating to help you get to them (its literally like three mins away).

Very poor approach towards potential patrons. Standing by the door and policing parking spots, despite their store being empty. I was planning to stop by and buy some MtG cards after purchasing some baked goods, but the approach by the girl working the store completely turned me off. Decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope they rethink their approach for the future.

I love this cozy little store! I went looking for manga, they have small selection but the staff was able to help me find one that I really liked. I will definitely be going back!

If I could leave a negative review on here I would. I entered the shop to buy some stuff and was immediately snapped at about not having a mask. When I told the employee I had COPD and was not able to wear one due to health reasons I was immediately asked to leave. She then told me to order curbside from now on. I was very upset as I was planning on spending several hundred dollars in there, not just for myself but for my kids. I will never return. If you wish to visit there please rethink your decision. I highly recommend miniaturemarket.com instead.

Only thing keeping this review from being 5 stars is that the prices are quite high. Youre not getting big bargains here, although they do have a customer card program that rewards you with $10 credit for every $100 you spend. Check it out.

They havent been hosting any game events lately due to covid concerns, but they have an awesome selection of collectibles and table top gaming accessories

Their new location is slightly problematic with parking but the customer service and atmosphere that the employees have made here is outstanding. Ive been to maybe every other location they have in FL and this location has the friendliest employees who are ready and willing to help.

Great place to shop. Wide variety of products that my kids love and the staff is great. If I go in hoping to surprise my boys with a gift but dont really know what I am looking for the staff is always happy to help.

We just drove half an hour today to the coliseum of comics in Lakeland (Polk county) to be informed that we could not enter the store without face masks (which we didn’t have). We were planning to purchase a few comics and spend the day outdoors enjoying them. Unfortunately because coliseum of comics has elected to follow the policies of Orange County (again not where our store is located) we were greatly disappointed that our plans for the day had to be completed canceled. Polk county health department does not have any of these regulations in place and therefore we were completely unprepared.

Would get 5 stars but area to look at back comics is not fat guy friendly, staff very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely a great place for comic book lovers and figure collectors

Heads up to future customers, the entrance is on the back; it took me a bit to realize that. There wasnt a huge selection of DC comics. Other than that, though, it was a pretty good place. I still found some good stuff; great variety of Pops. The staff was very nice. I would recommend the place.

This is a great place to browse through comics, figurines, and POP!s. I personally love to look through their selection of board games. They also have a great D&D supply selection. The staff is so helpful that there was a board game I was looking for and they ordered it for me! Love this Shop!

They have a good selection of comics for young/emergent readers and my kids love going and picking out their own comics. I love it because it gets them super pumped to read!The staff are all amazingly knowledgeable and have really helped to point us in the right direction.

The store is cool. Some of the staff is not cool at all. I was told by the female asscociate they sell comics that are meant to be read not collected. After they sold me a comic missing a corner. They really need to work on their customer service skills.

Gabby is a great addition she is super sweet and very knowledgeable. I wanted a book she did not have but she was able to get it by following week.

Wow! Being a newbie to the comic book and superhero world, I was a bit intimidated, but the staff were wonderful! Super friendly and welcoming. AND, they have a kid reader program, which was an added bonus for this teacher! The color-coded organization was incredibly helpful! Great first time experience!

Had an awesome experience at this location just yesterday. I was warmly welcomed by the associates working there. Politely asked if I was finding everything I needed. Customer service was on point! I was also thanked for thanking THEM for the excellent job!

Great little Comic Book store in the middle of Lakeland. They recently changed location moving next to Born and Bread. Their selection of visual novels and merchandise is great, I can always find something I like.

They have a lot of merchandise. However, the prices are 30% higher than other stores. The staff knows their comics, but has little knowledge of the collectible figures. But i must say, they have OUTSTANDING customer service.

Idk i traveled to check it out n they were closed on a Sunday. What comic book store is closed on sunday? Wouldnt that the best day to be open, when people are off from work and can go browse a book store and go do some shopping. Businesses should think about this.

Updated review! After a previous 2* review, the staff has really stepped up their game. Great, friendly, service. The selection is really good despite the small size. The new renovations make the store less cluttered and better organized. Very nice.

If youre in central Florida and love nerd culture, you need to stop by one of Coliseums stores. Every one of their stores has a uniform thing that makes them all Coliseum, but they each have their own vibe and feel. No matter which one you go to, youll find a knowledgeable staff who are always eager to help you out with whatever nerd-culture thing youre looking for. You can tell that theyre invested in their subscribers and are excited to have you in.

Extensive collection of comics and really helpful service. Went with friends and they got a Magic the Gathering booster pack and the next day I bought a Broly figure. The three workers I encountered were super helpful and service was speedy.Cool place to browse and buy.

At their, for now, new location on S Florida Ave: smaller, but a better fit for the store. Please make the trip, as it has a great selection of comics, board games, figures, and D&D everything. Check on their extra nights, where they host some games you can play. Dont miss it from the road, and parking is a bit tight, but its behind the store.

Ive been a customer for over 7+ years and its always been a great place to get my comics and comic related items. But as of late they have been slacking, Ive had several titles on my subscription for months and only recently have I missed several issue and get the next issue in the series. Its if a computer glitch, cuz I know Im not the only one its happened to, it shouldnt happen again and add of today it has.

I love this comic book shop, the clerks are very polite and attentive and can help you with suggestions for your graphic novel/comic book needs. They have a very nice selection of awesome board games and dungeon and dragons books and miniatures and a giant hoard of magic the gathering cards. You cant get this stuff at Walmart! They have a reward system on a card, a little old fashioned for my taste in a reward system but hey, not all shops offer rewards. Ive never sold them any comics or cards so I cant speak to that experience but all in all this is an awesome shop!!

I have always enjoyed Coliseum of Comics in Lakeland. Katrina (now the store manager I think) had always made a point to remember my name and chat a bit when I come in. The others working there are friendly too. Ive definitely been to places like this (comic book stores, record stores) where I felt very out of place/judged for being there, but Ive never felt that with this group.

I love Coliseum of Comics, but the Lakeland location is not very large at all. Normally I wouldnt have a problem with that, but when looking through the back issue boxes you literally have people brushing against you to get by. Its been some time since Ive been there, but the gentleman working at the time wasnt very friendly. Ive been to several other Coliseum locations and have had zero issues.

The shop is smaller than most Ive visited.If youre looking for common items for gaming and the top titles for comics, this place is fine.If you want to find something new and interesting, this will not be the place. They dont carry a lot of the more obscure and cult titles.

Parking is in the back of the store. Edward was exceptionally friendly and helpful. No problem in contacting other Coliseum Comics for a specific comic issue. Also, has a card stamped for every $10 spent for $10 off on future purchases.

These people really know their stuff! Whether youre a newby or a hardcore fan, you will love it. If they dont have what youre looking for they will get it for you.

This is my favorite place to get comics. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Even if the comic book Im looking for is sold out, they always find a way to track down a copy and hold it for me.

I spent an hour in here looking through old comic books from when I was a kid. My kids love this joint. Stop in and let the moths out of your wallet cheapo, and remember to have fun.

The new location is smaller and a bit cramped. The staff is still friendly, helpful and provide a welcoming atmosphere. There are always people there playing when I arrive but its cool despite them taking up much of the space because the games are varied. Its not all Magic all the time.

I love this store for all my dungeons and dragons needs. They have comics galore, figurines everywhere, even board games you wouldnt find other places. They have so much more than comics and they are soo friendly. Ive been there several times and every time the person working at the counter was very nice and helpful. The only thing I would change would be the entrance.The entrance to the shop is BEHIND the building for anyone who wants to check it out. Dont let that deter you tho because if you enjoy comics, dungeons and dragons, or if youre just looking for a cool gaming shop its a win in my book.

High prices, rude people, hard to find and small, tight parking off an alley thats dangerous to get out of due to blind spots. Do have a variety of comics. Thats the ONLY reason Im rating them two stars.
