Mike was great!! I called around because my exhaust was making noise like it was loose. He explained they were very busy but to just swing by to let them look at it. I didnt expect to get in that day but he fixed it on the spot! In my opinion that is what customer service is ALL about! Props guys! 👍🏼

I went here for my vehicle inspection and encountered difficulties with my vehicle not working correctly with the state inspection system. The employees at Christian Brothers Automotive could have just as easily sent me away and told me to follow up with the tax office myself. But, instead, they helped me work with the inspection office to get the problem resolved and my vehicle successfully inspected and registered. Im very thankful for the above and beyond efforts of the technicians at this location and will definitely be going here for future automotive care!!

Asked the manager to help me get a snap ring off and he told me, without even looking, that theres nothing we can do about that. A snap ring. 5 seconds if you have the right tool. These guys list any chance to ever do business or get a positive recommendation from me. The guys who work in the shop seem nice, just scared to get fired by the manager for helping me out.

I had a flat tire yesterday. I stopped in just to change my tire. The owner/manager came out, plugged my tire and I was on my way. I dont even think they really do tires. Anyone that has that kind of quick service and is super friendly on top of it, will be getting my business. I highly recommend.

When my 2001 Sequoia’s starter wouldn’t turn over I took it in thinking the starter needed replacement, a difficult and expensive job since it’s located under the intake manifold. I expected to spend over $900, but CB found the problem was a bad battery connection and it cost me less than an hour of shop time. Many shops would have replaced the starter anyway. I’m a loyal fan of Christian Brothers now.

I have seen businesses come and go - largely due to lack of care and customer service. Not an issue with Christian Brothers. Try them. So glad that Christian Brothers built a new location nearer to Steiner Ranch! We can always rely on them for quick, friendly, honest, reliable service. I never feel uncomfortable asking questions, whether the issue with my vehicle is a big one or a little one. Its great to have a relationship with a mechanic you can trust!

So I broke down just a little ways from the Cedar Park shop. I was fairly confident that it was the alternator. My brother and I had to push it to the shop where we left the keys and note in their drop-box. I stated that I thought it was the alternator, and I also asked them if they could check why the heat wasnt working. They said they couldnt know whats wrong with the heat because the radiator had a crack in it. That said, I was charged $800+ to have them replace the alternator and check the heat. Maybe Im wrong but that seems a bit steep.After I got my truck back it started randomly breaking down. I suspected it was something electrical and thought it might be something they had done while changing the alternator. From there I brought it to the Lakeway shop because it was closer to home and I couldnt rely on driving the truck more than a few miles.I explained what happened and my suspicions. So I left it there where they fixed the problem. It turns out it was a wire that runs from the fuel pump in the gas tank to the battery had vibrated off; however, it was on there perfectly fine before I had the Cedar Park shop replace the alternator which Im fairly certain they need to disconnect the batteries before replacing the alternator. In the end I was charged $400+ to connect a wire to the battery that was more than likely disconnect by the Cedar Park shop. Lastly, I will take a picture of the newly attached wire and post it, it was very poorly done!To make things even worse when I got the truck back yet again, the AC doesnt work, and it worked awesome before I brought it to Christian Brothers. I cant imagine what I would be charged to have them fix it.The one good thing I will say is that everyone I spoke to seemed friendly, but at the end of the day that doesnt help me.

Honest, fair, and fast. What more can you ask from a company!Ive used Christian Brothers several times, with great results each time. The following is another example.Last week, I brought my 2011 Outback to Austin Subaru for a handful of service items. I knew the cost was going to be high, but I was not at all prepared for the estimate I received. The service adviser emailed me a 9-page document that listed numerous items totaling as follows:Estimate Subtotal $7,131.95Shop Fee $35.86Tax $591.34Estimate Total $7,759.15As I said, I knew the cost would be high, but I was quite simply aghast at that amount. In my estimation, that is over 60% of the cars book value.As we were driving over to retrieve the car and take it elsewhere, my wife called the service adviser who clarified that the estimate actually listed several items multiple times, and the estimate was actually a menu of configurations we could choose. The estimate did not communicate this in any way, and it further confused matters by actually subtotaling all items and then charging tax to that amount. The service adviser clarified that our charge for selected items would be ~$5200 (with tax, over $5600). That is still almost 50% of the cars value.I took the car to Christian Brothers, whose diagnosis was identical to Austin Subarus (excluding new tires). Christian Brothers charged only $2,233.37.Because I also needed new tires, I then took the car to Discount Tire. Austin Subarus estimate included $728 to mount and balance 4 new tires, without listing which brand or model tires. Discount Tire gave me a handful of options, and I selected 4 new high-mileage Falken tires mounted and balanced for $624.38.I understand that dealer prices are typically higher, and I was prepared to pay a premium. However, I was not prepared to feel swindled.I will never go back to Austin Subaru, and because I suspect this is a corporate behavior, I will never buy another Subaru.I will, however, take my car to Christian Brothers for all its services needs!
