Andrew came to our home this morning to finish hard wiring a separate guest space. He arrived in the time frame that was given when our appointment was made and called before his arrival. He was able to complete the work in a timely manner, was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He took a look at our current tech set up for watching TV and gave us a few pointers and offered to come back to get us streamlined if we wanted. A wiring project that has stumped many people was no problem for Andrew and we are now all hard wired and set up.We will have them here again!! Thank you!

When we wanted to upgrade and expand our current AV system (it was 9 years old), Smarter Homes didnt miss a beat. They steered us to a much better television that uses a universal remote control, upgraded the whole house sound system, and vastly improved our wifi throughout the whole house. What a difference! They also improved our outdoor/indoor AV system, and its like night and day from what we were using before. Since then, they have made good on all our purchases and helped us out from time to time when we get stuck. I cant imagine calling anyone else for whole house AV. This was our first time using Smarter Homes and the service was more than fantastic! Peter himself - the business owner even offered to come and do the installation as well! Our appointment was the day the terrible ice storm hit, but Colter quickly put us back on track and scheduled us in for service immediately.Alex, the tech came over for a walk through for a hardwire install for our projector and knew exactly what was needed to be done. He even offered to install the projector to add to our service as well.The gentleman on the day of installation ended up fitting time for our hardwire AND projector installation. We were also having difficulty booking an electrician to install the ceiling outlet & they immediately had me on the phone with someone to come out. (They also kindly enough carved out the outlet hole for the electrician to save him some time!)We are very thrilled with the customer service by the company and 100/100 recommend them.We will definitely use them again for future services :)

Andrew from Smarter Homes of Austin came to our home to help with an issue regarding cables and wiring installed 10yrs ago, ancient by todays standards. He resolved it very quickly. We are excited that he will update our primitive array to modern standards very soon. It is easy to understand why he is so highly regarded. I have an older RTI product, a component part of which failed. Initially I was unable to find a dealer that could help or that even seemed to care about my small problem. I then located Smarter Homes of Austin where I spoke with Colter MacKenzie. Colter was immediately helpful. He contacted RTIs US office in Minnesota, working with them to locate a new version of the component I needed and arranged for the part to be shipped directly to me. Colter was professional and eager to solve my problem. it was classic great customer service. It may have been a small issue, but Colter appreciated that without the replacement component the rest of the unit was useless. There is no doubt in my mind that I will call Smarter Homes of Austin for my future electronic/tech system needs.

Have used Smarter Homes in the past. Was told they are now doing “bigger jobs” but would come out since we were past clients. We have had some small challenges with our setup and I have called multiple times and emailed with no response. They were always available to walk me through the steps until I learned the system— even late on a Saturday night when I was hosting a birthday party. They have the latest and greatest technology but what really makes them stand out is their personal service. I have had them install smart televisions, computers, better WiFi, and security cameras since then and it truly is a pleasure to work with them. The Smarter Homes team has been fantastic to work with! I needed to replace all the 15+ year old brittle, non-functional Cat 5e wiring in my home and initially had plans to do it myself. Even though Im comfortable with doing all my own wiring, networking, configuration, etc. - after getting up in the attic and deciding I was out of my league, I reached out to Smarter Homes for a quote from some true professionals.Pete and Colter came out to my home and worked with me to design a new home network that not only included all new Cat6 wiring and Coax runs, but also included a Unifi mesh wifi network that exceeded my expectations and put my previous Netgear system with repeaters to shame. I now have a wifi system that reaches every corner of my home, my patio, my garage, and Ive been able to get strong signals 100+ feet away from my home. Wow! They also replaced a makeshift wooden box in the garage that was acting as a dual purpose network hub and rodent home with a gorgeous new rack in an attic space to hold all my network and audio components with wiring beautiful enough to make anyone with OCD content.Im planning on a few additional projects for outdoor speakers, cameras with an NVR system, and perhaps some other techie fun features and will definitely have the team at Smarter Homes do the design work and installation. Ordered an LG OLED and went with the Sonos system. Communication was very good throughout the entire process. On the day of install they confirmed a 10AM arrival time...and actually were here at 10AM. Pretty rare compared to any contractors Ive ever hired. :) Matt was very friendly and felt comfortable with him and his team in my house. He was exceptional making sure every piece was connected properly and wasnt in a hurry to leave until I was comfortable knowing how to work everything. Would highly recommend them for your next audio/video project.

I recently moved into a new condo and wanted to have my audio and tv set up as streamlined as possible with central control from my ipad or computer. I contacted smarter homes and Peter came out to the condo and gave me an estimate and could have it all installed within days. They did great on the installation, everything was installed neatly including repainting walls and baseboards. They even matched the speaker covers to the wall color. And the job was completed within the estimate Peter provided. I love the Sonos sytem, everything works great. I can access music from the web or from my storage system that is connected to itunes and play in any room in the condo. I also have central control of my tvs. I highly recommend these guys. They have great customer service.
