Tom, the service mng was very helpful. Matt who did the work explained everything what he . They got me out if there sooner than expected. They worked on my Lance 2001 slide-in pickup camper.
Great job...mercury 500 2 stroke lower unit. Finished on time and very nice job. They even filled it with oil for free... thanks. They are very busy but worked my small job in on time. Greatly appreciated.
I am mainly a boating customer. Tom, in the service department, has taken excellent care of my service issues. Repairs were prompt and done right. I also really enjoy the on-site store. They have just about anything you could need for DIY service parts. Excellent selection for both boat, boat trailer, and RV parts.
We ordered and purchased our 2018 Lance trailer from Richards RV and boat.Unfortunately we had several issues with our trailer. We brought our trailer in forserving these issues and they fixed in a timely manner. Very professional companyyou can trust.
Just moved our fifth wheel to this location. The customer service is fantastic along with easy access in and out of the facility with an easy access dumping station available 24 hours a day as well.Seriously, for the rate and the convenience you cant beat this place.Oh and it has 24-hour surveillance and is very clean as well.
The rudest staff I have ever been around. We drove 8 hours to look at a camper and they didnt even acknowledge us.
THE RV DEALERSHIP THAT DOES NOT CARE. We purchased a new Lance trailer from them. On day one, we discovered the fridge did not operate on propane. Richards Boat Center offered no help. During our three-month trip in our new trailer, we were entirely without a fridge. Richards Boat Center offered no compensation. All they said was, Hey, things go wrong with RVs. We regret purchasing from them. And we urge you to buy elsewhere: from a dealership that cares. Customer service is worth paying a little extra for. That said, were happy with our Lance trailer. We eventually got the fridge repaired elsewhere. Both Lance and Norcold (maker of the fridge) did their part admirably. Five stars for Lance! Zero stars for Richards Boats & RVs.
On two different occasions while traveling in California (with my lance 1985 camper) I had repair issues. Both of these issues fell under warranty coverage. Even though I didn’t buy my camper from Richard’s Boat and RV I gave them a call. Both times they couldn’t have been nicer and told me to bring it on in. They fixed both of these issues with a very short waiting time. This is a stark difference from other dealer I have worked with. The guys at Richard’s Boat and RV ( Richard, Matthew and Tom) are the best! Wish these guys were closer to my home base (Colorado) as I would always give them my business.
Great customer service and excellent prices. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Experience is their excellence.
Great service and great staff.
Good service and welcoming when I went to purchase my new trailer... after the purchase, they act as if they couldn’t care less. I should have read the reviews.
Great staff but they value lunch more than the business. Went to ask a few questions and the man was upset I interrupted his lunch because he didnt even want to stand up to look at the part I had, he even said I cant see that far while sitting down behind his desk. You are better off saving your gas, time, money, and take your business somewhere it will be appreciated. Again, the staff was nice but lazy and had little to n intentions of selling anything.
They took great care of our toy hauler and provided us with a detailed list of the work that was done.
Kind of pricey but the work is immaculate. You get what you pay for.
Do not go here if you are African American. I tried this place a couple of years ago and got the feeling they did not want to work on my boat. Only needed a Bilge Pump replaced, wanted to charge me huge prices. Went to Robertos in Castaic and got the job done for half the price. Decided to recently try them again. I called and got a price to replace my Sea Water Impeller. Upon arrival Tom came out and looked at my boat and the first thing he said was I hope you have a lot of Money. I said I was already quoted a price. Tom said I would need a lot of Money to do the job. I told him what he quoted me and then Tom decided he did not want to do the job and then said I do not want to work on your boat you need to take it to a professional. I said I thought this was a professional shop. I left never to return. I will tell all my Boating friends not to go to this shop. Racist or not No customer service. Only works on New Boats. 1998 2855 Bay liner.
Richards boat and RV customer service is exceptional! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. As a first time buyer, Richard and his staff made the entire experience enjoyable and stress free. When we ran into trouble preparing for our maiden trip, Richard and his sons personally provided assistance on location and made the trip possible and prevented potential costly repairs and most importantly saved our vacation. Additionally, Richard has been a valued supporter of the local High School Mountain Bike team.
Richards Boat Center in Lancaster California one of the best dealerships in the USA. The owner Richard personally assisted us and was super friendly and professional like all the staff there. They have a well stocked parts shop and can order almost anything directly from the Lance factory in Lancaster.Prices are, of course, unbeatable and they make it a pleasure doing business there.Special shout out to Ruby the lioness their friendly puppy.Highly recommend this Lance/Boat dealership conveniently located off Hwy 14 in southern California.
We just purchased a Lance 1172 TC from Richards Boat and RV center. I would highly recommend them if you are looking into a Lance product. #1, they are just down the road from the factory, so you save a lot right up front. Second, they were easy to work with. From the sale, to the tie down install and finally with the walk around prior to pick up. Again, I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a Lance product.
Great sales team. Last year I purchased a Lance toy hauler from the team at Richards Boat Center. The sales team was knowledgeable and professional. Very customer focused and no high pressure tactics as Ive had to deal with on past RV purchases. I would would happily recommend to all my family and friends.
Nice .great service and you have a nice time looking at the campers
If you are looking for Lance campers and travel trailers, then this is the place. They work directly with the manufacturer and deliver exactly what you want and unlike other dealers, Richards does not charge a delivery fee. Employees are friendly and helpful. If you visit, dont forget to say Hi to Ruby, the 4-legged proprietor who greets everyone with a friendly smile and wag of the tail.
Dont take your boat or rv here if you value your time or money. Three months ago I brought my boat into the shop to have my outboard motor serviced and have a new propeller put on it and also to confirm the source of a short I had been experiencing lately in the ignition. I authorize up to $800 worth of work. A month-and-a-half later I was called by the service manager and told the quote would be $1,100 for all the work I needed and the quote had gone up because the electrical short was due to a coil in the motor which was a $600 part. I approve the $1,100 work order the next day. And expected the boat to be fixed ... a month goes by and I am called to pick up the boat, I was told the price is now $1,500. I said there must be some sort of mistake because we had talked about $1,100 and thats what was approved. The service manager says my mistake your right come pick it up. I send someone to pick it up because I am caught up with work. When I get home and see the boat I noticed theres no prop on it and the cap isnt even on the old prop with the greasy bolt exposed. Basically what happens is the service manager made a mistake or did labor that was not authorized and decided to remove my prop to get the value of the invoice back down to $1,100. And his service tech failed to replace the cap that keeps the water out. When I called and spoke to the service manager he told me he meant to talk to me about that and I just ran out of money. I didnt understand how I ran out of money to fix the proper due to maintenance when that was the reason I brought it in and I had approved an amount to fix all items. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told abruptly no oh, so I ended the phone call and left a message with Richard and Im now waiting reply. Side note $1,500 was spent two summers ago maintenancing the same outboard 2 stroke motor at Richards Boat Center and RV
Great experience, I shopped around a lot for the exact boat I wanted. I spoke with Richard for the entire sale. He gave me a outstanding quote and made sure the boat was what I wanted. On delivery of the boat there was a couple of items that the factory miss installed. Richard and his staff were very understanding and were on my side to go get the problems fixed. End result the boat is perfect, and I would defiantly refer people to richards to buy a boat.
I went in a few times and have always had a great experience. Richard is nice and knowledgeable about the products he sells. I would highly recommend.
Needed parts for an ancient Johnson motor. They had a couple in stock and ordered the rest. All parts I need will be in in a couple days! It dont get much better n that! This thing is pushing 60 years old. Good job!
If youre looking for a great deal, look no further Richards has it.
They do treat you nice. Went in to fix the frig .., bought a boat too. Great service, fun staff, very professional and efficient. Nice to find a service center that does what they say. Thx Tyler, Jennifer, Tom, Robert and the techs .., Ill be back.
Great people skills always welcoming
Ac excelente experience to deal with the staff at this place. Tom in service goes out of his way to explain all the works step by step. Great boat service place.
Best Rv and travel trailer parts prices in town! Great staff, helpfull, did i mention great prices? Thanks you guys
Needed to have awning and electric jack installed. Fast friendly service excellent workmanship. Highly recommend!
Easy to access. Very helpful. Just the people I needed for outboard motor repair.
I brought my boat in for service and repairs on 08/02/16. I was greeted instantly and referred to Tom. Tom was very helpful in describing what needs to be done and may have to be done. Hopefully the work is as good as the customer service. I will update my comments, when I pick it up.
I have been wanting to buy a boat for some time. I finally convinced my husband to go boat shopping. We came to this place 9/1/17 at 3:15pm and they were closed. What the heck. No sign or reason. They are only open M-F 9-5 and Saturday (supposedly). How do they even stay in business?? They arent even open on holidays. What a disappointment.
Great experience! Yelp reviews are far more representative of their quality of service. Dont listen to these disgruntled google users lol.
They were great they helped me a lot would recommend to everyone
Very positive experience. Low pressure sales and very friendly staff.
Thank you Richards Boat Center for putting us in our first travel trailer, a Lance model 1995.Let the adventures begin!!!Trailer Adventures withHunny & Hotsauce
Richard is a straight shooter. No pressure to buy and very transparent. The factory forgot to put our awning on and he drove down to our home, picked it up and when it was done, he delivered it back!!! How is that for service. Nobody is perfect but Richards is at the top of the game.
These guys are terrible! No customer service! I drove 2 hours to see a pop up they told me they had in stock. I show up and they sold it last week, thats funny because I called two days ago... I was looking at the other units in stock and the sales manager Dan said to find him if I needed anything, he was too eager to get back to his lunch. Ive been a sales and finance manager for Harley Davidson for years and if one of my employees acted like this jackass hed be out of a job.
If you need something for your boat there good 😁😁
I was looking at a deck boat that I had My eye on for 2 weeks, I decided to go and view the boat with the full amount of money that he was asking for I was adement about buying it. I got there we seen 5/6 people with one customer and we walked around for 10 min or more..NO ONE GREETED US, NO ONE ASKED IF WE NEEDED HELP, NO ONE SAID ILL BE THERE IN MOMENT, they treated us as if we were invisible I guess our money WASNT good enough due to the color of our skin.
Good place to get your boat Service
Terrible customer service and very rude. The owner is no exception to the salesman Dan. Richard should have his wife`s demeanor and he may get somewhere. I`m out of state, Yes I would like a print out of the motor history and not just take someones word for it? That would never hold up in court! I would rate him a half star due to the amount of customer service and attitude I recieved from the owner of a boat shop. A Joke.
Very helpful and curtious staff fast repairs good prices
There is a guy there named Richard I dont know if he is the same Richard I went looking for some cables for spark plugs for my outboard motorHe said he has to buy a whole box of cables so he could sell them to me so if I wanted to buy that one cable I will have to buy a whole box so instead of $5 cable I was to buy $150 box that I would never use really?
Had small boat motor reconditioned. Work was done promptly, neatly and at a reasonable price.
Its always good there theyre probably tired of seeing me
Good people and prices..
Good selection of camper supplies
I still cant use my boat. I took my boat here for new bellows in the outdrive. when I got it back water couldnt pass through the outdrive to the engine. this caused my brand new engine to over heat and blow the head gasket. I removed the outdrive and returned it to Richards boat center to Tom. I was told maybe it needed new 0 rings and seals. after several weeks I went to pick it up. the mechanic at Richards boat center told me Tom told him to stop work on it and put it back together with the old seals and o rings. when I tried to talk to Tom he said only that I owed him 100 dollars and he would not discuss my outdrive. furthermore that if I didnt pay the 100 that I would not be welcome at his store again. I feel ripped off and my outdrive sits on the same pallet they gave it back on leaking oil form the seal where they split the case. I would not recommend Richards boat center for repairs, maybe they should stick to campers.
Took my bass boat in for minor problem they did none of the things I requested had it four weeks and never called me to tell me it was done. They charged me 915 $ to change the fuel line which I had done already be pryor to taking it to them 880$ was 8 hrs labor it took me twenty minutes. And that wasnt even why I took it to them. I take it the lake it runs worse than before and overheats in minutes I could never get it to warm up before. They ripped me off and damaged my engine and had me sign a receipt saying there work was not warrantied. Im not happy at all thanks for nothing I had an eye on a boat I wanted to purchase from you. Never mind. You suck
Never again & I dont recommend anyone going their what a rip off
Friendly folks, very helpful.
Friendly and helpful but a little expensive
Bought my RV there.
Good people...
Good service
My go to shop.
I loved
