Once we decided to remodel our kitchen, I met with Dave at Kitchen Encounters to go over the process. From start to finish it was wonderful, I never felt like I was being left in the dark as to what was happening next, they stuck to the schedule and all my questions were answered. As the project progressed I kept adding thing on, I ran the hardwood floors from the kitchen through the remainder of the first floor then we decided to remove a wood stove, repair drywall, replace siding and paint, Dave was great with handling all of it. Cancelled appointment because the job was not big enough. I need my tub turned into a walk in shower. I called the company and made an appointment. Five minutes before the appointment was due David called and cancelled. At first he would not tell me why and when I asked to reschedule he didnt want to so thats when I asked him if the job was to small and he agreed. I explained that wasnt the only job but he still wasnt interested in driving down to my home to check out the job. Every disappointment that everything revolves around money. I think spending eight thousand dollars is a lot of money just to turn a tub into a shower and Im willing to spend it, because its for my 79 year old mother who is moving in and cant climb in a tub anymore. I will call Bathfitters and have them do the job.

My wife and I just completed a total kitchen, dining room and breezeway remodel. We initially interviewed 5 firms and from the minute we met Dave White we knew Kitchen Encounters is who we would use. Dave listened to what we were looking for and had great ideas to maximize space (a critical need for us). He also described their process and set a schedule they adhered to religiously - including daily calls to review the schedule and address any issues. Our project existed of renovating the downstairs of our house including the kitchen along with replacing our carpeting with hardwood flooring throughout the other three rooms downstairs. In addition we renovated one bathroom upstairs. From the design phase through construction we found Kitchen Encounters very easy to work with delivering a high quality of workmanship and on schedule. Dave White had many great ideas to offer in the planning stage and his people all did a great job during the project. David handled the demolition and renovation of our kitchen and laundry/mud room and brought the entire project in on time and on budget. He was connected with the project throughout construction, and the members of his team were all courteous, pleasant and responsive. David was very sensitive to our concerns about living in chaos, and he completed all of the work within the agreed-upon schedule; despite a few surprises (Hurricane Sandy!) we were able to entertain for Christmas just as planned. Kitchen Encounters made a stressful remodel easy. We gutted, redesigned and remodeled our entire kitchen while living in our house with two small children. The team was very accommodating, courteous and clean. Communication was excellent as they called me nearly every day to check on progress and update us on what was scheduled for the next day. Kitchen Encounters remodeled our bathrooms and we love them. We took our master bath down to the studs, and the design that Dave came up with is more than we could have imagined. It is so spacious and elegant now. The quality of the new cabinets and fixtures is top rate. The hall bath just had a face-lift, but it also looks great. All the workers were talented and polite, the communication from Danelle each day advising us what work would be done was fantastic, and we appreciated how they cleaned up each day. The project in Sept. 2016 is the second time I have worked with Kitchen Encounters. They were as great the second time as the first. As project managers, David and Danelle take on coordination of everything from lining up the craftsmen to managing the vendors as they go in/out of my home. The vendors that they work with provide top quality work. The largest part of my project was installing new Brazilian Cherry flooring on the second floor and refinishing the same wood on the first floor. The finished floors are strikingly beautiful, bringing out the natural beauty of the wood! They also managed installation of top quality carpet (feels great under bare feet!) and painters. All provided exceptional work. There is good follow-up and check in throughout the project and excellent work as the project winds down to ensure top quality and satisfaction, i.e. touch-ups, etc. Highly recommend Kitchen Encounters!!

Recently, my wife Lois and I had the pleasure of working with Dave and Danelle in the remodel of our home. We had a couple ideas as to how we hoped to progress. Dave came to our home, went over things with us, and helped us decide how we wanted to move forward. Dave came up with the plans and computer models which made it easy for us to decide. We were very impressed with Kitchen Encounters vision for our home. With the schedule set, we were very impressed at how easy things moved forward. Daily calls from Danelle astounded us. She explained which worker crews would arrive, and what they would accomplish. When we signed our contract, we were given a schedule, but wondered how they would be able to stick to it during the winter months. With only a couple exceptions they did. You cant control the weather. Now to the quality and workmanship of the crews involved. I believe the materials used were topnotch. We chose everything we wanted, and were very pleased with those choices. The workers did a great job performing their tasks. They arrived when Danelle said, and took great care in cleaning up any messes. All told, we were very pleased with the job performance. We couldnt have been more pleased with our kitchen remodeling job than we are with KITCHEN ENCOUNTERS! From the day we set foot into their showroom to today (eight months after completion), quality of workmanship...attention to customer needs & details...and ease of operation rate especially high on our list of wishes fulfilled! We recently had our kitchen remodeled (cabinets, counter tops, backsplash, sink), and Dave and his team were great to work with! Dave suggested a design we never would have thought of on our own, and it has made a huge difference in the way we function in our kitchen. Everyone was very patient while we made design choices (and changes) and all of our questions and concerns were answered quickly. During construction, Danelle contacted us frequently to keep us informed of times to expect arrivals, any changes to plans, and to address any questions or concerns we had. We are very happy with our new kitchen and we would use Kitchen Encounters again for future remodeling projects!

Both my wife and I have prior experience with other builders and remodeling projects, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with Kitchen Encounters. Ours was a fairly large project involving the kitchen, family room and hardwood floor replacement, and required six weeks. The company gave us an accurate schedule and they met all their dates. We were impressed with the quality of all the employees and the subcontractors, who all work together frequently and communicate with each other as a team. The single most outstanding feature of this job was that KE left the site swept and trash-free every day, even our garage which was their workshop. No dumpster in the driveway, which was pretty unusual. The kitchen matched the renderings exactly, but the showpiece of the project was the fireplace in our den, which now looks like a drystacked fieldstone wall. Their mason is a superb example of the resources they have available.Dave and Danelle were easy to reach and open to our questions or concerns. Several of the typical gotchas occurred on the project (a late delivery, an incorrect cabinet size) but they took this in stride and absorbed any glitches into the schedule. You can tell this is a well-planned and experienced company. We are proud to have Kitchen Encounters as an outstanding local business!
